It has a nice cozy atmosphere (all wood) and the food is good (not great for the price), typical Argentine and Uruguayan style grilled food and very good rotisserie chicken and sausage. Skip the salad and the desserts. The service is just so-so. It is very accessible at "five points" (where Coral Way veers) and has it's own adjacent parking lot.

Good option for a quick lunch, enjoyed the grilled cheese very much so. The parrillada was just fine, they do have a good selection. I quite liked their blood sausage and their namesake Chicken was well done. Easily accessible in Coral Way, good parking.
Prices are good and the service is friendly.

2.5 stars...i got disappointed at the start. i ordered the pamplona as well since it said uruguayan, and it came out cooked on the outside and raw on the inside. they took it back and offered something else, so asked for the rotisserie chicken instead. it was moist, nothing ground breaking. (maybe they cook things on the lighter side to retain moisture?) i was more impressed with the chorizo and blood sausage -- better flavor. salad side = onion/tomato.
it seems uruguayan is closer to argentinian (parrilla?)

The rotisserie chicken was delicious, albeit a bit pricey. 6 of us went for a late Sunday lunch and everyone was more than happy with their meals. Among the other plates tasted were the skirt steak and the top sirloin. Both were cooked as ordered and were juicy and tasty.
The inside of this place is really cool. Lots of pictures of employees and patrons all over the wall from years past as well as assorted bric-a-brac. Definitely a homey feel.

This is one of those rare gems in Miami that serves great food at fair prices. Start out with a Provoletta - cheese melted on the grill with bacon bits and slices of tomatoe, served with warm buns. Go on with any of their great steaks or Parrilladas, my favorite is the Bife de Chorizo, always cooked to perfection.
Staff is friendly, parking is readily accesible, prices are great, food is really good and this is a very basic restaurant that you should consider when going out. Lunch is served pretty fast and at dinner time entertainment includes Karaoke and signing by the owner?manager?

It's a bird! It's a plane! Wait... it IS a bird! Er wait, it's a flying chicken! Well for sho, it's so fly, cuz it's so Uruguayan parilla country-style inside! And this one flies, because of ZUPER POLLO!
Chicken is the dish this so-woodsy place is touting, and couple that with some live music / ballads (tango, folklore, international music) during the weekends - and you've got yourself charmed.
Yes, there's karaoke, and delivery too - so really you have no reason to avoid this place. None at all.
Except that it's not cheap. That's my main reason for knocking off a star, but other than that, I wouldn't hesitate coming back. The dish I had was tender, juicy, and delicious, surprisingly since I'm used to eating dry chicken in many establishments. What I ordered was the Pamplona de Pollo a la Parilla (rolled chicken breast, stuffed with ham, pimentos, and bacon (Uruguayan)) for $12.85.
But don't let the price fool you - the portion was huge! This is also a Miami institution for the people of Uruguay - it's been around since 1986.
Free parking is available at a lot next door - and someone will make sure that it's safe, just in case if the way this area looks is enough for your bones to quiver (which isn't the case - Coral Way is too charming with its many small stores and restaurants like this one).

I love love love this place! Not only because it's Uruguayan like me :) but also because they have amazing parrilladas... ugh!! they are deliciousss!!! And a really friendly, family style service. I've been going for almost a decade and was never disappointed.
3.5 stars really... although the food is good and at a reasonable price. (9$ for baby flap steak with fries) the service however - at least the day i that went - was terrible. went with a group of people from work (we were 6 in total) and getting attention from the waiter was so damn difficult. he forgot about our drinks, about refilling our water and just about taking care of us. we caught him chit-chatting with a girl around the bar area while drinking his coffee... i know this is not the forge but i shouldnt have to get up to get a water refill myself ever. i also noticed that the chimichurri was sorta weak, a little insipid to be fair. maybe i went on the wrong day of the week, maybe lunch is not the best time to go... cause ive heard good things about this place. but the only thing i liked about my experience was the meat. 9$ for that sounds fair to me. perhaps ill do take out if theres a next time...
