Great interior, great service, pretty awesome food.  Started off with a Pomegranate margarita (nice, but could have used more hooch IMO).  Then had the Platillo Del Cerdo which was basically a stew of pork and green chile served with flour tortillas and with beans & rice on the side.  The beans & rice were so bland it seemed like they were there more for decoration than to eat. Which was OK with me because the stew was amazingly delicious and who cares about beans & rice when you have this stuff.  The pork was super tender, the green chile offering just enough kick with a little bit of heat.  Between that and the chips & salsa provided, you definitely left full & happy.  Andy M's Tacos Asados were presented beautifully, very colourful and fresh. (you know, the avocado was actually a lovely bright green and not a sickly brownish olive?) I had a bite of his steak and it was delicious.

I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for good Tex Mex.

I usually have reservations about Tex Mex food. I'm so used to all of the wonderful Mexican restaurants in Chicago. But Zquila is a new spin on Tex Mex Food.
The interior is beautifully decorated in a modern, Spanish style. The tables are spread out which give the place a more intimate feel.
My entree was the Shredded Steak Tacos. The steak was beautifully marinated. It was juicy and tender.  It was served with a side of Beans and rice. Everything on the plate was delicious.
The bottom line is that Zquila is a great example of what can be done with Tex-Mex food when you think out of the box. It was a great experience, and I would gladly go back the next time that I'm in the Fort Collins area.

I really liked it.  Only been there once, but the food was great.  Good margs, but I wish they were a bit cheaper.  I will go back when I get a chance.

It is a great looking restaurant, with really good food.

My wife & I just tried Zquila for the first time over the weekend...and I have to say, I was impressed.  It has a very "modern" feel when you walk inside with some nice décor, nothing too over-the-top.  The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Their chips and salsa were good...the chips were baked (I think?) and the salsa was spicy, but not too hot.  We started with a couple margaritas, which seemed a little pricey at $8 for a 'house marg', but they were tasty.  (I think any more than one of these might keep an average person from driving for awhile..lol)

I tried the 2 rellano plate...it was awesome.  For one, I like that they offer the soft egg-batter rellenos OR the crispy fried rellenos on the menu (crispy all the way baby!).  The rice and beans that came on the side were good too.

My wife had the combo plate with a crispy rellano and a cheese enchilada and she was not let down...the cheese enchilada was great and  passed our test with flying colors.  (Our test?  If a restaurant can screw up a cheese enchilada they probably aren't worth going to)

Something I liked was that the portions are not disgustingly huge.  Don't get me wrong, we got plenty of food and I was stuffed afterwards...but you know how some Mexican restaurants give you a plate the size of a small Volkswagen with a pound of beans and rice and half a head of shredded lettuce?  Being someone who likes to clean their plate, that kind of intimidates me.  It's almost like they try and justify charging you $14 for a meal that cost them $3 worth of ingredients...

Zquila however gives you a human-sized portion and charges accordingly. I was happy that my plate had more rellano than space-filling rice and beans. Most entrées I wanted were between $7-$12, which is a few bucks less than many other Mexican eateries around here.  (Which was a welcome surprise, because I was expecting a higher-priced menu based on Zquila's location and signage...I don't know why exactly...it just looked like it would be more expensive...so kudos to them!)

Overall, 2 thumbs up and I'll be back again.  !Vive Zquila!

I dined at this restaurant last night and it was pretty impressive.  It is kind of a trendy Mexican restaurant, but it think the decor flows well and I enjoyed being there.  Our waitress was very attentive and brought out several bowls of chips and was on top of refilling our drinks. My girlfriend enjoyed her strawberry margarita and there was a pretty good beer special going on.

I had a combination plate and the chicken chimichanga was pretty tasty.  The green pork sauce had a little kick, which I very much enjoyed, but may be too spicy for some.

Overall I would recommend Zquila as a fun spot to dine with friends.

I decided to check out Zquila wit my husband after reading several favorable reviews on Yelp and by other people.  We got there fairly early on a Friday night and were able to be seated right away.  They quickly brought us out some yummy chips and salsa.  The chips were nice and robust with a good corn tortilla flavor and the salsa was nice and spicy.  Our waiter was very nice and checked on us several time since it took us forever to look over the menu and to decide what to get.  I started off first with the Classic Margarita which was delicious!  It was the perfect amount of sweet without being sickening and also had quite the kick to it without tasting too much like alcohol.  I think I might actually prefer there margs over The Rio's (unconscionable, I know)!

For dinner I finally decided on the Asada Enchiladas (specially seasoned chicken enchiladas topped with green chili with rice and bean) and my husband got the Combination 5 Dinner (cheese enchilada and chili relleno with rice and beans).  Our server was really nice and said that our long decision making paid off because the Asada Enchiladas was his favorite dish.  Boy was he right!  My dinner was great!  The chicken was really tasty and the green chili was a great compliment to it.  The rice was nice and "fluffy" (how my husband put it) and the beans were also good.  I got to try some of the cheese enchiladas with their enchilada sauce which was also wonderful!  The sauce was thick and full of flavor.

Even though we were stuffed after dinner, we couldn't pass up their sopapillas.  The had tons of sugar and cinnamon on them which my husband enjoy, though I would have preferred just a nice dusting.  Regardless, they were warm, tasty, and only $3!

Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves.  The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff was friendly, service was fast, the food was great, and it was all reasonable priced (margarita, two dinners, and dessert cost us $30 before tip).  I definitely recommend this place for a nice change from your everyday Mexican restaurant (just make sure to get there early because there were a lot of people waiting by the time we finished dinner!).

A colleague and I went there for lunch earlier today, I have to say I was overall, quite impressed!

The menu has all of the things you would expect in a Mexican restaurant -- and enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, etc. good news is, they're quite good.  The ticket a guy out added on top was a nice touch.

Chips and salsa, the basis of any Mexican restaurant, was get here.  The chips seemed fresh, and were served warm.  This also was peppery and somewhat spicy, but not in a punishing way.

Luckily for the lunch crowd, there is a smaller sized margarita.  To be clear, I don't like it as much as a Rio marg, but that is a very difficult benchmark to surpass!  Also, they have a lunch menu, which makes things easier to order.

No question, I will return to this place.  Maybe the biggest knock I have about it is the parking lot.  The strip mall that it is in has several popular restaurants, and the parking lot is packed over the lunch hour.

I went here on the recommendation of a coworker, and I would have to say I was disappointed. Yes, it was trendy looking, but the food was just average,  and I wasn't a fan of their chips and salsa. I've heard from many people that their margaritas are amazing, and maybe that is why people love this restaurant. I don't drink tequila, so didn't get one, but I went to eat here at lunch, and every table I looked at had at least one of two margaritas on it. Overall, if I am really craving Mexican food, I'll make the drive down to Denver to go to Hacienda.

it's a good thing they don't quiz you on pronunciation before seating you, because i would never eat. z-quila? zuhquila? zeekweelah?

anyways. as usual, i had to check out the chile relleno specs. though not on the menu, they do have crispy or baked rellenos (crispy all the way, i love me some fried peppers) and it was filled with mozzarella. what?!?!?! but, for as confusing as it was, it was twice as delicious.

i also had the chimichanga por cena (and made sure to say it in my thickest spanish accent) with pork, which was good, but the pork was a leeeeetle chewy for my taste.

tons of tequila, tons of margs, and it's kind of dim-lit and mysterious inside. overall, between the mysterious environment, the equally mysterious name pronunciation, and the delicious every aspect of my meal, i'll be back.

and, had i not gorged myself full of cheese, pork, etc., i would've loved to try something off the dessert menu.
