I really like this place for a couple of reasons: 5.95 for two large slices of 'za and a drink, organic ingredients, and I think the pizza is generally really tasty.  For the price, you can't beat a quick lunch here!  The pizza is packed with flavor...but be warned if you try some of the more experimental pizza's, you might get more flavor than you bargained for (for instance, I avoid the Greek pizza).

The atmosphere of the place is a little odd -- like eating gourmet pizza at Subway -- and if you order something that isn't already made, it takes awhile before you see it...and if the peeps you came with order slices from the rotating stack, they'll be done long before your custom prepped food arrives.

This job creates some weird scheduling for me. I get so out of whack sometimes that I find myself not hungry for "lunch" until 4pm or so. Unfortunately, a lot of places close between 3 and 5, leaving me hungry and pining for a solid lunch.

I made my way to Z Pizza around 4:15 today (in fact, I'm still here!) as it was close to Cypress, where I'm headed for the evening. I'm a total sucker for anything Thai Chicken (wraps, salads, whatever... I love it) so the Thai pizza was the obvious choice. On wheat crust? Even better!

Now, when's the last time you saw a guy throw a ball of pizza dough in the air and spin it around in the nearly-cliche but you still think its totally cool kind of way? Well yep, they do it here. Pizza dough flying through the air! Woo!

My piping hot pizza was delivered straight to my table in about 8 minutes, and it was served with a smile. The pizza itself is really tasty: nice thinnish crust, not oily, with fresh toppings like bean sprouts scattered on top. I'd definitely order it again, in a heartbeat. And Katie, I'm about to finish off the 10" all on my own, so don't feel guilty.

Although I've only had one experience with this place, I'd certainly recommend it. The service I encountered was abundantly friendly and the pizza a solid, healthier choice. Plus, I'm really liking the look of that patio come springtime.

It was a dark and stormy night....which actually describes several nights these past few months. Hey, I'm all for alleviating the drought, but man, could Ma Nature do it in a bit more, um, leisurely fashion? Despite the rain and cats and dogs and hamsters and chinchillas falling from the sky, the wife, friends and I decided to grab some pizza. Now keep in mind, since the wife has become gluten-free, pizza is a rare occurrence for her; the last one was at Pizza Fusion. Now it was Zpizza's turn.

Unlike Pizza Fusion, Zpizza is more of a joint than a restaurant, a "fast casual," order at the counter place rather than one with menus and wait staff.  Also similar to most neighborhood pizza places, you can order slices from pre-made pies rotating in an incubator next to the bain. They're less eco-dogmatic than Pizza Fusion, what with all the bright, glaring lights and the ability to order a Coke. What they DO have in common, though, is that crazy $4 upcharge for gluten-free crust.  Yow.

Anyway, I ordered the Napoli and split with my friend. On the menu, it reads like a margarita pizza, no red sauce and all mozzarella and basil. In reality, well, there wasn't any red sauce and there was plenty of mozzarella, but it wasn't like any margarita pizza I've had. It was too heavy and the preponderance of cheese made the crust soggy. You'd be hard pressed to find me complaining that anything had "too much cheese" on it, but really, this amount (or maybe the cheese quality) didn't do the pie (or my gullet) any favors.  I still ate it because I was hungry, but I couldn't avoid the college era flashbacks of eating too many mediocre pizzas.  But, in true college fashion and after an enthusiastic night at the bar, the pie did help stave off any hangovers the next morning.

When I asked the wife what she thought of her pizza, she said, "It's good." (Keep in mind this is the second pizza she's had in over 6 months.)

"How does it compare to Pizza Fusion?"

"I like Pizza Fusion's more. The crust tastes better there." I can neither confirm nor deny my lovely wife's opinion on the GF pizza since I was struggling with eating 4 pounds of low-quality mozzarella on a circle of soggy dough. But hey, she's the GF expert, I'll take her word for it. Still, just for offering GF crust, I'll give Zpizza 3 stars.

I dragged Kim B., Alain L., and Adam R. down here, because I knew they had Gluten Free Pizza.

Everyone completed their meals and my pizza was still not ready. Ten minutes later, Alain went up and asked about my pizza and they clearly had not started it. Yet, they told him that it would be ready in a few minutes.

When my GF pizza was brought to me, the crust was soggy and I had to eat it with a fork. I am not sure what they did to ruin the thin crust, as I have had the GF pizza at the Alpharetta Zpizza and it has never been soggy.

Plus, this place charged $4 extra for my 10" pizza, while in Alpharetta it is only a $2 surcharge for the GF crust.

The service and the pizza were awful at this location. I will not be including the Midtown Zpizza on my Gluten Free restaurant list.

I am disgusting.  I just downed my entire 10 inch pizza from Zpizza in one sitting.  I now feel grossly full.  But, this is not really their fault - I should know how to practice moderation.

I ordered the Mediterranean pizza - feta, eggplant, olives, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella.  It was good.  The crust is thicker than I would normally like (I guess if it was thinner, I might not feel so disgusting right now) but it was crispy.  I ordered takeout at a non-peak time and they had it ready and waiting for me when I arrived (and it was still pretty hot by the time I got it home).  They were friendly and efficient.

I had a coupon for a free pizza and that is why I went here.  Without the coupon, my pizza would have been around $10, which is not that bad but it is kind of a lot for a pizza that I can scarf down in one sitting.  Or, maybe I was just really hungry.  Anyway, it's not great but not bad, but there are better choices in the neighborhood.  I would return, and I would definitely like to try a salad here, but it might not be one of my first choices.

I've been waiting for zpizza to open for quite some time (the construction has taken months) and I finally tried it tonight for dinner.
I called ahead for a take out order. The staff was polite, but you could tell they are still learning (they just opened this week), as he didn't know what exactly came on the pizza I asked about. They quoted me 15 minutes, but my pie was ready when I walked over in about 10.

I decided on a classic cheese with basil.
It is a nice thin crust, but not crispy. the cheese was gooey and good. The basil had a nice flavor, so i think it was pretty fresh. I didnt love the sauce - an organic tomato - but it wasnt bad. AA bit of a sweet flavor, but something about the aftertaste wasnt my favorite.
The health conscious and alternative ingredients/topping are nice to have as an option.
The price is about right ($14 for a medium 14")

Given its convenience to me, I'll probably go back

The website looked great. They were friendly. I needed delivery. They said ok... ordered, she spoke highly of the food, gave my cc info.

She called back and said that I wasn't within the 2 mile delivery radius and therefore wouldn't deliver so I had to cancel my order and go for Fellini's...

Bummer on experience and way down on the service.

What a great idea, healthy pizza!!

Finally, I got the chance to order some pizza this past Saturday after being around Oysterfest all day.  We ordered the Italian and the Sante Fe.  Neither of which were my second, third or even fifth choices.  But I didn't order, so needless to say I wasn't super impressed, but I would definitely try this place again.

The Sante Fe pizza was spicier than you would think, just not my choice of pizza.  The crust was fabulous.  :)

I think the next time I get a chance to go here, I'm gonna get the thai or tuscan mushroom pizza..

It's proximity to my cave brought me inside ZPizza....you know, on one of those days when you start off thinking you will walk some place for lunch but weather reminded you that there was nothing wrong with starting your eating adventure nearby.

I'm not really sure what I expected....as I'm typically a Papa Johns Pizza or Pizza Hut patron and for whatever reason had been avoiding this place.  However, I was pleasantly surprised.  FIrst, the menu options are so much more creative than the standard chain fare.  I especially liked being able to mix it up a bit.  I ended up wtih a Calzone made with chicken sausage, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese.   The server told me about some healthy options for crust, but I figured the spinach would more than balance out the cheese and sausage and carb laden crust.  :)  While it did take a bit for them to get my order out, I really liked it and will definitely look forward to having it again.  I also was nosey enough to check out what my fellow diners were having and I saw some really fantastic looking salads as well.

The service was friendly, the calzone was piping hot, and the cost was under ten bucks.  I will continue to venture a bit further out in my quest to conquer all the eating establishments in a square mile, but I still see myself returning here.  I might even test their delivery service sometime!

Oh if you do go just know that there's a small parking garage right next to Zpizza and it might be free or maybe it was because i didn't stay long that I didn't have to pay anything.

They have a 2 slice and a drink pizza special for 5.95.....go.....try....it! So good......!!!! I went last night for the first time..I got a 10' with pepperoni and sausage for $11.56. And boy was it worth it hmmm hmm!!! I'm goin again tonight! I'll see yall there!!!

Somehow we must be on the way to their other deliveries, since our pizzas regularly get to our house in 25 minutes.  Maybe it's because we're ordering early?  Around 6:30 early, to be exact.  Anyway, my entire family is addicted to zpizzas, specifically the Santa Fe and Moroccan.  The pear and Gorgonzola flat bread pizza is also great, but for some reason I don't see it on the menu we got for delivery?
Yes, it's pricey and not too filling, but you don't feel like a beached, bloated whale after eating it either.   They use real ingredients and you can order wheat crust which makes it guilt-free pizza to me.

    I don't get it...

They're trying something new here: gluten-free pizza. But without reading the Yelp reviews, I would have never known. There's no explanation of the concept of the restaurant anywhere that I could find in the place. You walk in and order from a hanging menu and that's it. There are pictures of oval pizzas all over the place, but in the ready-made pizza case that you can order a slice from, they're round. I ordered a signature pizza of the 10" variety (thinking it would be oval) and it was round too. WTF?! Service was pretty abrupt and hardly efficient since I was one of two people in the joint and it still took the guy a while to get to me.

The pizza is just meh. Nothing special. Unless you've got a gluten allergy, I recommend you head on over to California Pizza Kitchen for the same, but tastier options.

Coming from California, you expect it to be healthy and the ingredients seam to bear that out. The quality of the ingredients is a solid grade higher than Papa John's or Dominos.

Caveat: I had take-out which isn't as good as having a pie straight out of the oven.

It was pretty good but didn't stand out. It felt austere.

I've only ordered one type of pizza here, but thats b/c I enjoyed the "Tuscan Mushroom" pizza so much I don't want to venture out to something else. The "Tuscan" has shitake and button mushrooms, carmelized onions, feta, and truffle oil. The dough was thin and somewhat crispy. It is very good. My boyfriend and I usually get the large and we tend to have a piece or two left over.

It will cost you about 20.00 bucks for a large specialty pizza.

The first time when we went, the owner upgraded our medium pizza to a large pizza for no charge. He came and talked to us and chatted with us. Very nice guy.

I have also ordered using the online ordering system for carry out, and they had my pizza ready even though I got there earlier than I had anticipated.

I've always parallel parked in the area and walked over, so that is kind of a hassle. There is a garage parking, but I'm not positive about the charges. I've also been in that parking garage and the spaces are tights.

Thanks to ZPizza for serving something other than "Just Pizza"the subs & salad are great.  The person that deliver arrived in less than .45Min's.
The food was good...Glad to know b/c F-2 only Del from 5PM to 9PM Mon. through Friday and no Del on weekends.  F-2 always forget. one or two items. ZPiza prices are not quite as $$$$ as F-2.
BTW if you live in the area you know the rest of F2's name...

The lady really wanted to try this place (what is it about the word "organic" that makes you girls lose any sense?) so I caved in and gave it a go.

As per usual, I got a couple of slices of hand tossed pepperoni (my benchmark). The crust wasnt too bad, little on the tough side, but it only went downhill from there. The cheese was hard and stringy and lacked any kind of flavor. The pepperoni might as well have been cut up pieces of cardboard - and dont even try to reheat this monstrosity the next day... it'll be even worse.

Oh and to make matters worse - they had lost their liquor license or something equally as lame...

I kind of felt like this place was one giant contradiction.  The atmosphere was too weird.  One minute it felt gourmet and upscale, the next it felt like food court pizza.  Half of the restaurant is nicely decorated with cute paintings and stuff.  The other half is sinfully ugly, industrial looking chrome kitchen equipment.  The menu is full of gourmet pizzas and such, but then you order them at the register.  The worst part to me was the rotating pizza warmer full of over-cooked, limp looking pizza slices.  It made me feel like I was getting pizza from a gas station or something. Honestly, what the hell is that doing in a place that offers pine nuts, eggplant and Kalamata olives as toppings?  For the record, the above rotating pizza warmer houses the slices that you get as part of the 2 slices and a drink for 5.95.  That was enough to keep me away from the special.
As for the food, I got a Moroccan calzone, which came with pine nuts, feta, eggplant, and pesto.  It was actually pretty good.  The pesto tasted fresh and the flavors were delicious together.  The sauce on the side basically just looked like tomato paste, so I kinda stayed away from that.  The crust was a little too crispy, even a little charred on some parts, but I still enjoyed it very much.  I spied plenty of other cool pizzas on the menu I'd be willing to try too.  So there's a chance I'll be back.

A great addition to the area. As has been noted before, the 10" small pizza can be eaten in one sitting quite easily and costs about $10. It's not exactly the deal of the century, but the Thai pizza on the wheat crust was pretty damn good. More often than not I take them up on the 2 slices and a drink deal for $5.95, easily the best deal on Peachtree St in Midtown. The staff has been friendly each time I've visited and you can also substitute Sweetwater beer on the deal for only $2 more.

Decent pizza.  Smaller slices than Fellini's, but similar crust.  2 slices + fountain drink for $5.95.  All the employees were super friendly and nice.  It had a nice atmosphere and the manager walked around and asked if everything was ok.  The only downside was the pizza by the slice sits on a carousel  and you can't customize the slices, just pick when they have.

    i LOVED Zpizza!!
and what a beautiful day to have a patio!

fun midtown location, excellent topping selection, DELICIOUS CRUST. the montana winter wheat crust totally won me over, and i'm a crust fanatic.
my dude and i shared a rustic pie with arugula and italian sausage (they were out of chicken sausage), and a build-your-own with chipotle pesto, BBQ chicken, tomatoes and caramelized onions.
both pies were fantastic, not overly greasified, fresh, hot, cooked perfectly.

and seriously, the crust. SO GOOD.
great pizza plus 3 sweetwater taps and a nice wine selection. can't beat it with a stick!

It is the only place I go to for lunch 90% of the time.  I always order the Berkley Soy Veggie Pizza on Wheat, it gives me warm fuzzies.  Their Pear and Gorgonzola salad is also divine.  The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing.  The food is healthy and served with love.  The employees seem to really like what they are making.  It's good energy all around.  The food and the people really ground this place.

I thought this was good.  We got a 14 inch pizza and a small California salad to share, plus a pint of beer each, and the total was $32.something.  But you order at the counter, so no tips, so not bad I suppose.

We got the Moroccan pizza, which had pine nuts, pesto, and eggplant on it.  My gf and I both really liked the pizza, but it was a little bit on the unfilling side.  But the crust was very good, and pine nuts are a little bite of heaven, so that's good.  I did notice a special on our way out - every Wednesday and Friday night, you can get an 18-inch specialty pizza plus a pitcher of beer for $25.  We'll be back for that.
