I was getting tired of driving all the way downtown and found this place through yelp! so here i am!
The Good:
-attentive/friendly staff
-pretty good prices
-close to south san jose
The Not So Good:
-Hookah was so-so but then again its usually hit or miss at hookah places. I had the lemon mint hookah which was pretty decent tasting but the bowl could have produced some better smoke.
-Seating is weird much like the place next to SCU, its one long couch on one side of the room which i find to be very awkward as you are facing outwards, but that's just me
-Location of the actual establishment is a little hard to find, tucked away in a corner right past almaden on branham so I got a little lost. .
Overall it is a nice clean establishment with pretty good hookah, definitely will try again.
I don't have a hookah of my own so I usually go to a Hookah lounge with friends. Went a couple weeks ago and I think they are awesome! Great flavors mixed. Terrific ambiance with great service. Price is extremely fair; $24 for two mixed flavored hookahs. Plus the flavors last a long time. I've been dying to go back.
It may be a farther place then Hookahs Nights or Smoke This, closer to downtown, but they have their own parking lot, very spacious, terrific price, personable staff, and are just overall great.

Damn procrastinated too long!
What? A hot new upcoming hookah spot NOT in congested cop filled downtown?? Pinch me it's real!
My friend tells me of a new hookah spot that opened in South SJ. That's an odd place I thought, must not be too good. Boy was I wrong!
As we walk in I see a large open area with couches up against the wall and comfy chairs surrounding simple tables. The walls are adorned with candles and photographs and the place just gives off a nice homey feeling like your chillin in a friend's large living room. There's 2 flat screen tvs normally playing movies as well.
The staff here are really friendly, always coming around with coals, and checking to see if everything is good. The great thing about this place is that they use WOOD charcoal. It burns better and doesn't give you that ashy taste regular coal or insta-lites do, letting you taste the flavors of Starbuzz/Fumari tobacco better. The music is upbeat, the environment is chill and they even have cards, chips, and boardgames you can borrow! *I wanna hold em like they do in Texas please*
I hear they had belly dancers for their grand opening! I'm sure the guys of the SBC wouldn't mind that! ;) Sounds like a UYE in the making! Dinner and drinks at the Brit... belly dancing and hookah to end the night! hmMm....
Parking's a breeze too. The location is in a strip plaza, and all the stores close by the time this place opens so the whole lot is theirs in the evening.
All in all I love the place. It's not stuffy or pretentious like downtown. Just relaxed. They'll be opening up their outdoor patio soon too! Can't wait for a nice summer night with some good friends and hookah. Breathe. Inhale. Let go.

great place to go very clean clean bathrooms as well friendly staff.
They also got two big flatscreen that you can ether watch tv on or play x box. I love to go to this place very chill relaxing area
I frequent a lot of Hookah Bar's, and I have to say that the service at this place was par none. The staff were friendly, and very helpful. They were very good about changing the coals, and when we complained about our hookah they tried to fix it, and said that if the problem doesn't go away then they would change it for free. They kept their word and gave us a free hookah, and were very friendly about it.
The price wasn't bad either. $15 dollars for any combination of flavors, and $10 dollars for a refill. The sign said 2 person per hookah, but they didn't charge us for the third person. I have to say that they didn't offer fresh fruit flavors.
Another star was taken off, because we were in doors and the ventilation was poor. I like to go smoke hookah, not breath it. Granted we did go on a Friday night and the place was packed full. The seating wasn't too crowded. They even offered video game's on the big screen for people to play HD games.
This place also had a large variety of hookah's for sale, if your interested in purchasing one.
Zoulal is a great place to chill. Their hookahs are good, the music is great and they have two plasma screens with Xboxes hooked up. Not bad at all! The staff is friendly and customer service is amazing. They strive for perfection and want to make sure you're satisfied. If you live in South San Jose and dread to drive 15 miles for hookah, I recommend you check them out.
Pretty relaxed place which is deep in the heart of San Jose. Overall affordable, good atmosphere, comfortable, free wifi and very friendly staff. They specialize in Starbuzz and Fumari tobacco and you don't have to ask for the charcoal, they come up to you every 10 minutes to make sure everything is fine. Great customer service, prices and location.
New lounge in Almaden with great vibes. Cool music and really nice staff that strive to make sure customers are taken care of. I've gone there a few times with some friends and alone, both times were great.
This place is like an oasis tucked away in a small shopping center. Dont take my word for it, check it out yourself. As their slogan says "Flavor your life, one breath at a time!"
This place just recently opened and it's a really chill laid back place that's inexpensive (2 people to a hookah = $12 total) since it's new there aren't an insane amount of people who go here which is really nice. It's also really easy to have a conversation without having to yell over loud music or huge groups of noisy people like at most of the other hookah places in the area. The couches are comfy, the service is excellent since the people who work here are nice and they are on top of coming by every 10-15 minutes to change the coals. Also they have a really good selection of flavors to choose and mix from. To top it all off the flavored tobacco LASTS AND LASTS, which is definitely not like the other hookah places I've been to. All in all this place is one of the best hookah lounges I've been to.
