Review from Suzanne S.
Portland, OR
Fabulous little store. I shopped online and had her hold my items until I could come in to pick them up. The shop barely accomodated me, my toddler, and my tiny twins, but my daughter had fun playing in the little toy box and still talks about the owner's daughter who was playing on a laptop behind the counter.
I can't say enough good things about this shop. I've recommended it to many of my diapering friends, and I hope they are passing the word on. -

Portland, OR
I love Zoom Baby Gear. It's a bit of a drive or bus ride for most inner-Portlanders but actually worth the trek. Zoom is very down-to-earth and offers lots of alternatives to disposable baby gear- wipes, dipes, even pads for mama. Plus the owner will show you how to make your own diapers with patterns and supplies that she has available there. Zoom tends to have slightly lower prices and gives better re-sale if you bring your used diapers in. There is a wide range of prices from the cheapest diapers to very high-end wool diapers.
Specialties
Zoom Baby Gear offers reusable cloth solutions for the whole family. We specialize in cloth diapers, stocking many styles and brands in natural and organic fabrics. From newborn to potty learning, we've got what you need to get started or keep going with cloth diapers. ZBG also carries new and used mama clothes, reusable menstrual products, sandwich wraps, snack sacks, hankies and an assortment of bags and wipes to help you choose to reuse. We have DIY supplies for making your own reusable cloth items as well. Shop online or visit our family-friendly store in North Portland.
History
Established in 2004
I started using cloth diapers on my own daughter in 2003 and very soon was making and selling my own Zoom Baby Gear line of products. After a few years on online-only, I opened my original retail store in North Portland in 2007. In 2008, I moved to a much larger location, just 6 blocks north. As a North Portland resident, it is important to me to remain accessible to neighborhood families.
Meet the Business Owner: Cynthia T.
I am a local cloth diaper advocate, Real Diaper Association business member and accredited Diaper Circle Leader. I host periodic cloth diaper circles, providing a supportive (and fun) environment for parents who want to succeed with cloth diapers. I am on the board of directors of the Real Diaper Association, a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. I also help mamas learn how to sew their own diapers through free demonstrations and instructions. I am committed to helping put more babies into cloth diapers. I have been using reusable cloth around the house for 20 years. Cloth menstrual pads, hankies, and kitchen cloth are a few of our "new" items that are really old favorites of mine.
