I am a fresh/organic food enthusiast, so I was very excited to eat here. We drove by Zoes on the way to a movie at the Inwood, and were drawn in by the clean, modern decor and promise of fresh, healthy, mediterranean cuisine.
Zoes kitchen starts out like you might expect, very clean white space, smart graphic design menus with favorites like feta cheese, kaboobs, hummus, a staff that's very cool, and very alternative, sandwiches that are a little too expensive, but you'll splurge because you're eating FRESH...etc. etc.
I went for the Greek chicken pita, and a homemade brownie. My friend had the grilled chicken plate. Unfortunately we found out that our "fresh, healthy" food also came without any flavor. This was the driest, least flavorful pita I have ever had. Even the feta was bland! My friend's food wasn't any better, and let's just say the brownie was definitely not what I expected. All the ingradients tasted like they were cooked in water, and then put together without any seasoning, spice, etc.
I would just like to say that "healthy" and "flavorful" are not mutually exculsive, and cool design and an alternative feel does not make you a good lunch option.

This new restaurant on Lovers and the Tollway focuses on fresh Greek Salads and chicken or tuna-based sandwiches. Their food is huge, tasty, and heavy on Feta cheese. The also have some take out packages for the busy mom. It's perfect lunchtime fair, and is served blazingly fast.
When we went for lunch, we stuck out like sore thumbs. The placed is packed to the gills with the stereotypical Highland Park stay-at-home moms and their kids. It was like entering a new world for us lab rats, though we shouldn't have been surprised considering that the nearby Breadwinner's is exactly the same.
