My boyfriend and I came to Zodo's for the first time last week for the lunch-n-bowl. For $30, we each got lunch, shoes, and an hour of bowling (3 games plus 2 frames of a 4th, haha).
While this was the best deal for the amount of bowling we did, I wish I didn't have to choose my meal from the way way way reduced menu options. There were only 2 or 3 vegetarian options, so I got a cheese quesadilla that came with pico de gallo and ranch dressing. Meh, not fantastic, fairly plain. Also, the sodas that come with it are teeny.
The bowling was fun, despite me being terrible. I think they over-grease or over-wax the lanes or something, because the bowling balls were pretty greasy...gross.
While I enjoyed it overall, I definitely don't need to go back for lunch-n-bowl any time soon. The food quality didn't make me feel like we were really getting our money's worth. -

Zodos is preaty cool to bowl and all. But other then that i had a waiter who continusly forgot about us. When she did come around with our buffalo wings(note it took 30 min just to come and take our order) buffalo wings were all dryed up and old. So i asked for a new batch because you want your quality of a dollar to mean somthing so se comes back with overly drenched buffalo wings so that we couldnt see they were the old ones....!!!!!! Then we asked her to take it back and have them make a fresh batch... Even the fresh batch was dry still!!!! The funny part is is that after she did bring it after the third time she said " thats it there will be no more so deal with it" basically .... Ya umm i left no tip and will never eat here again!!!!!!

Super accommodating. I called last minute to reserve 2 lanes and they were able to rearrange their competitive bowlers in order to fit our group in. It was raining and the place was CROWDED. Bowling was great with only one fowl up with the pins - which was taken care of speedily! Afterwards we hit the bar - great experience. I didn't even know they had a bar and had a blast making new "friends" that night. It seemed the rain almost put everyone in a great mood - excellent! The waitresses were all very nice and two of them kept makings sure we were satisfied with everything.

This place is pretty cool, but wow it's super crowded on a Saturday night. I did think the cost was a bit pricey... or maybe it's been THAT long since i've gone bowling... me and my fiance, 2 games plus shoes was about $35. Wow!

Zodo's is pretty great! I am really impressed by how involved they are with our community.
I worked with mentally handicapped students for a couple months. Zodo's let us bring all of our students down once a week to bowl. They charged us reduced prices and let our kiddos pay for their own bowling to practice their life skills (even though it takes a while for the students to get it together.) The staff was so kind and understanding. I will definitely be back to support their business. -

Aw I miss Zodo's. It's not the best bowling place in the world or anything. But I had some good times here. I usually went on busy nights, so it would be packed with college kids. But the waits weren't too bad. The bar can get super crowded though. All I really want from them is their raspberry beer/cider. I love that stuff. I don't know if there is alcohol in it, but it doesn't matter, it's good. Fun times.

This place is great place to bowl and socialize. They are always running deals, coupons, etc. and Tuesday is as cheap as it gets. $2.00 per game with shoes! They have a lot of beers on tap, a decent arcade, plenty of food, and a friendly staff. I recommend this place to anyone of all ages, but it certainly caters towards college and grad students.

It's the only bowling alley in the area so be warned it can get pretty crowded on the weekends and the wait can get pretty long.
Other than that, it's a nice bowling alley. It has a restaurant, bar, an arcade. The bar has two happy hours!
It's definitely a fun place to eat, drink, chill, and bowl. -

Cosmic bowling, saturday night.
long wait, they don't tell you that it actually saves you money if you buy the hour deal as oppose to each bowler! i was upset about that.
other then that this place is cool, they have a bar area! and it's like the hangout spot because sb and goleta is a small town, this is the only bowling spot in this town. -

Zodo's is great! We went here yesterday with a group from my work. We did the $15 lunch in bowl package. If you want another hour its an extra $20 per lane. Not a bad deal for all you get! They have around 20 beers on tap, the food was nothing to brag about, but the staff is great and the place is clean and fun!

One of the more fun bowling places I've been to. It's generally a clean place and the monitors/bowling equipment are generally very good. The black light nights are especially fun. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and love to bowl.

Bowling: a sport in which players attempt to score points by rolling a bowling ball along a flat surface either into objects called pins or to get close to a target ball.
Social Drinking: casual drinking in a social setting without an intent to get drunk.
Put these two together and you never bowled better and you never drank more. Zodos is basket full of brownies fun. Many college students, welcoming environment, bar, sports game; I could not ask for anything more.
This is a good place to watch the Lakers beat any team. However, the appetizers at the bar are not worth it. I definitively recommend getting a meal because the appetizers are pricey and not that great.
Next time you are in SB. You need to make a stop at Zodos. -

For the area, it's a great little place. There are only 24 lanes, so it's considerably smaller than an average bowling alley (which are around 30-40 lanes.) I would be afraid to go there on one of their busy "discount" or "event" nights.
as far as the place goes, overall, i'd go again. It was fun and well-kept. Unfortunately, we had some issues with the lanes working properly. I've only been this one time, so I cant say that this is a normal occurance- but our lanes kept breaking down. We ended up being moved 4 times! and they only compensated us 15min extra bowl time. Other than this incident, the food was delicious (but very over priced), the bar area was great (full bar, good service, lots of TV screens), the lanes were nice with lots of seating and tables (and lots of TV screens), and their week-day specials were pretty good.
Note: bowling on the weekends is PRICEY. This isn't what you'd call "affordable bowling".
Still liked the place, you just need to go in knowing that it's more expensive than normal alleys. -

Who doesn't like Zodos? Besides being an awesome place to bowl, they also offer an arcade, filled with DDR, air hockey, and other games, which is great for kids and adults. The pool tables are nice and reasonalby priced, and the bar is a great place for sports games. The food is a little pricey but pretty good. And of course bowling is just great here. They also offer late night bowling at a cheaper rate which is perfect for us college kids.

We were staying in Santa Barbara and decided to have a slightly more relaxed night and Yelp threw this out there.
We got a taxi down to Zodos and were impressed at the size of the place and the food and drinks that were being consumed with abandon when we stepped in.
We had no problems walking in and securing ourselves a lane for a couple of hours on a Friday night from 8pm. It was pretty busy though so were surprised to be accommodated so quickly.
Waiting for a lane wouldn't be an issue though - there is some good food available in the attached restaurant and plenty of other things to distract you.
The bowling was fun and about 9pm it locked down into full on glow bowling! I'm still blaming glow distraction for the deterioration of my game, and not the beer pitchers. Definitely not the beer, right? -

Great bowling, great bar, staff is okay.
For something to do outside the bars in SB- GO TO ZODOS. Wed night= cheap beer/college night. -

I wouldn't say this is the best place to bowl, but it is the only place to bowl. They're keen on ripping people off. Paid for our 1 hr game at 11:55pm. Closes at 1 am and they make us stop playing with 10 minutes left of our game. They were so rude, and the wait was ridiculous.

Zodos has very comparable prices to other similar bowling alleys. They have the typical late night disco/rock'n'bowling on weekend nights. Leagues take up most of the alley on monday-thursday evenings and there are a wide variety of leagues to join for all skill levels. The bowling alley is very state of the art, all modern score machines with ball speed indicators - flat screen displays throughout the alley displaying sports and your bowling games side by side. The inside was recently remodeled again and the seating area for bowling is very group friendly.
Full service pro-shop is available for all your bowling equipment needs.
Z's Tap House and Grill/Cafe is a great addition to the bowling alley as well, providing a large selection of beer and full bar with an expansive and delicious menu of food to choose from. -

Zodo's is awesome. I've been here twice. Once with friends for good wholesome fun and again with my 11 year old nephew. The drinks are affordable, so are the prices. I forgot how much fun bowling is! I'll definitely be back.

While I was at UCSB I took a class with Mr. Paul Orfalea who is the founder of Kinko's. It was probably one of the most interesting classes I took and definately one of my most favorite and memorable. Anywho, he actually revamped and renamed this bowling alley while I was a student there to Zodo's... a nickname he called his friend. I beleive it was Zodo that nicknamed Paul ... Kinko. Thought I'd share the story of how this place was named. I've bowled here a few times during my four years and had a good time. Love that there is a bar too!

I've been to Zodo's a few times, mostly for watching baskteball games. The bar is pretty cool for watching sports and catching up with friends. There's a decent variety of beers and happy hour really hits the spot. The food is decent but we usually eat beforehand. We've never actually hit up the bowling section of Zodo's because all the lanes are usually taken. The arcade is a little small but pretty fun. I'm addicted to those dang basketball games. I do wish they had more pool tables b/c i'm pretty impatient and hate waiting. haha But, they have TV's surrounding the area so you don't miss the game while you play. Overall Zodo's is a pretty cool place to hang out.

Great place! Be careful about coming during the day on a weekend. Lots of kids and the screaming can get to be a bit much. But other than that it is a great place to grab a beer (lots to choose from) and watch a game.

Beer Variety, 24/7, Good food for a bowling alley, lotto scratchers, and uh... bowling. I liked this place. I never got to fulfill my fantasy of coming out here at like 3 am and staying all night, but I've had a lot of fun bowling nights there.

I am embarassed to acknowledge that I not only bowled under 100, but I got beat by my 5-year old. The only logical reasoning behind this is the delicious, paralytic dinner I had consumed beforehand. A refreshing chicken caesar wrap accompanied by eye-opening cajun fries. The under-powering, complimentary flavors were spot on and a side of ranch was thrown in to help tame the fries. Also, the portions were definitely come-hungry or leave-with-lunch-for-tomorrow sized. Pairing dinner with awesome old skool tunes pumping out of the sound system and black lights giving everything that funky glow, I was just too chill and having too much fun to get my serious bowl on...good thing I'm not a professional bowler.
