Zipps Sports Grill

I am a regular at Zipps and the bar service has gone downhill fast. It's 6:23 on a Saturday and 10 people are at the bar with 3 bartenders and one woman sat down and left because no one acknowledged her presence. Another couple sat down next to me after she left and they still haven't been acknowledged. My husband also sat with an empty beer for longer than it should take. Do better Zipps, do better. And, the bar is still filthy from people who left 20 minutes ago. The kicker is there are at least two managers here. Maybe the management should stop firing everyone who is good at their job.

Update: I'm here a day later and what a difference a day makes. The bartender, Amy, is amazing. Double the people at the bar and everyone's drink is full. She's handling her bar top and the service bar no problem, she is the best! This is why I'm a regular. It would be helpful if it was like this all the time and there wasn't so much divergence between shifts/bartenders. Maybe the key is better training and/or recruitment. The 3 stars is a combination of a 5 for Amy and a 1 for last night's experience.

I decided to try out one of their burgers. I was surprised that their burgers are double meat patties. It's nice that they have plenty of TV's both inside and outside. Most specialty burgers don't come with lettuce, tomato, and onions, so you have to ask for it at no extra cost. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with us. Burgers come with fries, onion rings, salad, or 1/2 & 1/2. I would say that my burger and salad were slightly above average in quality. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my bill was cheaper than I thought it would be. The menu said that the burgers were $15.50 but they actually cost $12. I wonder if some hidden special was going on. Either way, I paid $15.20 (includes tax and tip)

Saturday 7 pm and we were seated really quick. Our server was quick and friendly and she even remembered what kind of drink we're had the second time she checked on us. The place was full and normal level noise for a bar but with good music.
Parking lot is kind a limited but there are some spaces there.
We got the pepper jack focaccia with avocado and it was really good. And that jalapeño ranch was unique and really good too kind a sweet. The frys are a little oily but they are good like home made.

Got to stop in finally for some drinks and was very impressed. There was a lot going on that night and we still were able to get great service and find all our favorites for the beer line up! I would definitely suggest this as a place to stop in to for a drink. I need to come back when the stomachs emit though so I can hit their menu for some food!

My husband and I checked out this spot on a recommendation from a co-worker. It was packed due the Diamondbacks game, but even with the crowd we were seated right away. It was super loud but it was cool because of the excitement from the game. The menu is pretty extensive, with lots to choose from. Tritons was still happy house so I had a frozen margarita which was pretty good! We ordered the golden wings from an appetizer and they did not disappoint. They were fabulous!! So much so we ordered some to go. I also ordered a grilled chicken salad and my husband ordered cheese burger. My salad pretty big and the chicken was cooked just right. My husband said he burger was good as well! The service was great and food was tasty so we will definitely be back!

Weekend happy hour specials are the reason I came to Zipps. Their double burgers & side for $12 is a great deal. Unfortunately the tall beer was 6.50... so figure on $20+ each. Our server made the day great w her efficiency and pleasant service. 4/5.

Take me back to fries food deliciousness, sports fans, and games on everywhere! Zipps Sports Grill is the place to be for solid bar food that actually tastes good, attentive and quick service, and hanging with your peeps enjoying watching games or shooting some pool.

My husband and I arrived at Zipps about 6pm on a busy March madness night (final 4 game). The place was slammed so we weren't sure if we would get a table, but the hostess was extremely efficient and made sure to get people tables asap. We didn't have to wait long and snagged a perfect booth to watch the game. Our server Matt arrived quickly after we sat down and took our happy hour order and drinks (chips and salsa). Matt was very friendly, knew the menu and prices, and made sure we had plenty of food and drink at all times. After much debate (cause it all looked so good) we both got a burger with fries and onion rings (not a low cal evening)! Our food came out hot and delicious. I highly recommend the onion rings and any burger with an egg on it! The manager came by to make sure we had everything we needed; service all around was top notch.

The inside is Zipps is hip and hopping. The bar area is full with people enjoying some drinks and games. The dining area is nice and spread out so you have plenty of space to chow down with your group, and everywhere you look you can catch a game on tv. The bathrooms are clean and there are even arcade games in the back for kids or adults who are better with the crane game than they are at pool.

Zipps menu has typical bar food but lots to choose from. Pretty sure anyone can get something they want. The prices are fair and the portions generous (we had lots of leftovers).

If you are looking for a spot to grab some good food, drink, and watch the games with a bunch of other fans then this is your place!

We love Zipps and they never disappoint. We went recently for my son's birthday, and they came out with a giant Pazooki full of ice cream. He was thrilled to say the least, and we really enjoyed our time. All the food was hot when it came out and the service was great. Thank you very much Zipps!!

We love Zipps! Service is fantastic. All the food is good and awesome specials & happy hour offerings. Golden wings are the best! Lots of TVs showing multiple games/events.

I don't understand why this location can't get their shit together... Immediately walking in, confusion from the hostesses, rude comments from the waitresses when we sit down, delayed service due to overcrowding in one section... Haven't been here in months and came back to the same crap. Luckily, the food is really good.
