AWESOME!!  We had a fairly large group - 6 people, but we also got a private canyoneering tour and 2 guides (Jeremy and Seth).
We had a roller coaster 45 min ride in their van to the start of the trails.  Thanks goodness for their mad driving skillz cause there were POTHOLES and sheer cliffs to maneuver arnd.
We were planning to doing the Subway 2 days later, so Jeremy was great on prepping us for it.  Showing us how the ropes work and giving us pointers of what to do and what not to do.  Plus, they were both patient when I freaked out down climbing this one section.  How embarressing  @_@  !!!
SUPER FUN!!!  I'm Hooked!!
We also rented equipment from them - ropes, backpacks, dry bags, wet suite, harness, ATC, canyonneering shoes, neoprene socks!!!  For the amount of chaos we brought to their store renting gear, even renting gear was fun!

The shuttle ride up was pretty hairy but our driver was fearless. He came on time and was a real friendly guy who talked to us as long as we were awake. Too bad my group knocked out since we left at midnight to get there in time for the 9:30 pickup. All in all, it was a good experience and definitely worth the $30. You DO NOT want to take your car up that road.

Ended up hiring a guide (Jeremy) for some morning climbing in the area.  Because of the heat (106!) we met up at 6:30 and drove out to an area called Snow Canyon near St. George.  The face we were climbing was completely shaded and comfortable until about 1pm . . . thus, we were very glad for the local knowledge.  The climbs themselves were very cool and pretty different from each other, with a few cracks and some slabby/balancy stuff.  Definitely great choices by Jeremy based on our ability!

Jeremy ended up leading 3 climbs and setting up top-roping anchors for us, one of which maxed out two 60m ropes tied together!  Altogether a great experience, and I'm sure if we're back there, we'll look to Zion Rock for adventure suggestions.

We were also doing some canyoneering in a slot called "The Subway" and ended up renting a 70ft static rappel rope from them for $20.  I'd highly recommend that route for canyoneering, as it can be a real pain to carry and manage a 60 meter rope if you don't need to!

I'd give them an extra star if I could, since Jeremy also knew where the local Dairy Queen was, and let us stop there for some soft-serve in the afternoon 100+ degree heat!

I've used Zion Rock & Mountain Guides once, for a one day introduction to canyoneering. I chose a guided trip, as opposed to an instructional course.  Guided trips serve as an introduction to the sport; instructional courses focus more on skill set building, and may not even include much actual canyoneering.

I had a great time!  My impression of the company? Friendly; professional; looking out for my safety.  HOWEVER, you're also responsible for your own safety as well.  There were plenty of chances for me to do stupid or careless things, and the guide can only help so much.
