Zion National Park
1 review for Zion National Park
Standout national park. Red packed sandstone cliffs and slickrock cut deep and steep by the Virgin River. Lots of waterfalls and the occasional weeping rock. When I was a kid, you used to be able to inner-tube down the upper river. An endangered snail changed that, but you can still treat yourself to a refreshing wet-hike up to the Narrows. Gets pretty crowded and hot in the summer, but the scenery is well worth the hassles. Cars aren't allowed into Zion Canyon in the summer due to overcrowding, so be prepared to fight the German tourists for a little lebensraum on the eco-bus to the sights.
