Zin Valle is a charming outpost on the way into the deeper wine country of far eastern New Mexico, though Texas gets to claim this one as her own as the vineyard is just about the furthest west you can be in the entire state.

As you pull of to the stucco building, you will notice the rustic appeal of the grounds, with token vines planted in the courtyard.  Mrs Poulo was caring for the tasting room on the day we visited and offered us free tasting of their varietals, including a delicious Gewrztraminer that I decided to upgrade to a full glass.  It was as crisp as she had described.  The others in our group shared a bottle of the rose and all of us went to their courtyard to polish off our drinks.

Overall, this was a very pleasant and peaceful winery reminiscent of the old Napa vineyards.
