i definitely recommended this one to anyone who asked me which one we chose for the Memorial day escapade. Nothing's better than knowing youre in good hands. They do provide you with very skilled and seasoned rafters, pretty much equipped, and very friendly staff..... (Hello andy! it was so nice to meet you, too bad you didnt enjoy our company)
Kudos to Shawn,,for his welcoming attitude and his warm smile--making u feel safe from start to finish. If you decide to do the whole day trip,,they provide you with lunch-- food was okay,, although i didnt have time to look how they prepared it while we were having fun taking off the wet suits for lunch...
Will definitely do it with them in case i go back. I agree with Dennis,, Zephyr is awesome,, they should get a 5-star!

This place is headquartered in Columbia, but they have rafting trips throughout California. I went on a trip in Kings River (east of Fresno) and had a blast.
One ride down the river lasts for about 4-5 hours. The rapids are really fun to go through. The views are incredible. The guides know their stuff and all-around fun-loving types.
Zephyr provides food as part of the trip and a fairly clean bathroom too. But this is essentially a big camping trip, so no showers and you'll have to rough it under the stars by the river.
Overall really good times.
Don't pass up the chance to go whitewater rafting on the Merced River this summer!!!!! I just returned from my first rafting trip and I was thrilled, literally, with the Zephyr experience. My guide, Matt, was definitely an expert and showed us an amazing time. All of the staff were friendly and outgoing and it's clear that safety is a top priority. I had all of the necessary equipment and training to feel confident on the water. The full day trip was a perfect combination of some crazy whitewater and lower flows that gave my heart rate a chance to level out (if only for a second). Our team of guides made us an awesome lunch on a sunny beach halfway through the trip and always made sure we were having fun, even on the bus ride home. I absolutely recommend taking a rafting trip with Zephyr. If a city girl like me can do it, you can too! PS- another plus, you can just drive right up without booking in advance. Sometimes the best decisions are made at the last minute!
