5 reviews for Zephyr Cove - North Beach
So far the best doggy beach in south lake. north beach was a paradise for our pit bull, sampson, and us. basically we played catch/fetch and monkey in the middle with our dog for hours. HOURS! sampson had no desire to leave the water the entire time we were here.
did i mention the great alcoves and rocks that adorn the beach? we came here everyday and climbed the rocks. the water was great.
While you can't take the dog on the main beach at Zephyr Cove, you can hit the north beach of the resort which is part of the Tahoe National Forest and allows dogs. Its a great beach - you can pay to park at the Zephyr Cove Resort and walk ~100 yards north of the parking lot. The nice parking attendent tried to explain how I could park a bit north of the resort and not pay but it did involve crossing highway 50 so I opted for the regular lot. Anyway, great beach for you, great time for the dog.

Best beach I have been to in SLT. I love it. Panoramic views, rocks, and crystal blue waters. Just about everything a pirate could want.

On my recent trip to Lake Tahoe, my friends and I had a great time bobbing around in the lake and soaking up the sun and natural beauty that surrounding us and the landscape was nice too ; ) I highly recommend this place as a stop on you visit to the lake. The water is so clean and the beach is top notch. There are waitresses to serve cocktails and security to keep a-holes in check. I have nothing bad to say about this spot. It was the best part of my trip.
We spent a couple of days in Lake Tahoe recently and found this beach - fantastic! The water was great, there are boat rentals, a restaurant/bar, nice clean bathrooms. This was definitely the highlight of our trip.
