"This place is just, like a dream." Said my girlfriend in the earliest hours of the morning while flipping through the dessert menu. I couldn't have described this place better. It is a local institution. It is the beacon in desert of darkness, staying open 24 hours (not many places around here do that). It is a place where friends, food, and good times are aplenty.

Okay, admittedly the food isn't that great...but it doesn't have to be. It is greaser Greek diner food. But, it is place where you go when aren't ready to go home. Stories are told and made here.

Hungry?

You in the middle of an argument with your girlfriend about what you want to eat?

Been banned from Denney's because you suggested that the Grand Slam should come with a roll of toilet paper?

Want to see someone summon a fireball and shout OPA?

Then come to Zack's of Plymouth.

I have yet to have a bad meal from Zack's, they have a very wide menu (just about everything... seriously.)

They have comfort food, burgers, lawash rolls, an awesome breakfast menu, and if I want moussaka AND nachos at 3 am... this is the place to be.

I have been coming here on and off for several years, and the food is always as good as I remember it. If you want a good snack, the have excellent fried zucchini.

For Food I give Zack's a 3.5 out of 5...

During my last visit I order the stuff cabbage dinner, which was an out of the box decision since normally I stay limited to the signature awesome fries and bosco stix!

Unfortunately my stuffed cabbage and chicken noodle soup were both sub par to say the least! My "Chicken" noodle soup I had, had 0 chicken in it and an over gardening of celery. The cabbage was prepared in a way I have never had before. They put spaghetti sauce on top instead of the ketchup BBQ sauce I'm use to. The meat inside was completely un-seasoned and dry. I did how ever enjoy the mixed veggie medley and baked potato on the side.

My boyfriend ordered the signature awesome fries that, like always were amazing! The ranch they have is a house mix and let me just say it should be on shelves vs Kraft or even hidden valley.

For service, staff, and speed of service I award Zack's a 4 out of 5.

Our waitress' name was... Maddison!

She was super friendly. And had hot pink hair. Now, normally I'd say "unprofessional" but because of her attentive service and genuine smile and cheerful attitude you don't even notice after the first interaction.

The rest of the service staff is very engaging and welcoming. Each waiter/ waitress helping each other with their sections is a true sign of team work and rally!

Our meal took only 10 minutes to get to us, which in my opinion was not a long wait at all. Even though Maddison kept apologizing for the wait and I took that as a sign that the wait times are usually shorter.

I give Zack's of Plymouth a 4 out of 5 all in all because the atmosphere is very friendly and warm. The staff is a clear team here. The food is usually on point and they continue to serve all generations in the same respectful and inviting manor. I will be returning soon to give them another shot (:

As a former employee, I can vouch that this place is EXTREMELY dirty in the back- the waitresses touch money, dirty dishes, you name it- then grab lettuce barehanded for salads. The owner treats his staff terribly. Please save your money.

Great portion sizes for the price. Nothing blew me away taste wise but it was all edible. The awesome fries were pretty awesome. Try them with some sour cream!! Very family friendly, too!

An "upscale" Coney / Family restaurant compared to your average coney joint. Good portions and great service along with reasonable prices and neatly prepared and yummy dishes equals a winner in its category!

Their food is pretty decent for what it is, and the deserts are great. I am giving them two stars because they kicked me and my friend Zack out of the restaurant about ten years ago, accusing him of taking a poop on the floor in the bathroom. To this day we cannot believe they accused us of that of all things and refuse to go back.

Just had a great lunch with my son Christian at Zack's. I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap, Christian the Bacon Cheeseburger and we also got the  Saganaki appetizer. The Chicken Caesar wrap was fresh and wasn't buried in lettuce and dressing. Christian's burger was perfectly cooked and good sized, you know, the burger wasn't lost in the bun, there was plenty of bacon and cheese,  and they presented it with fresh lettuce and pickles on the side just like he ordered.

I had coffee, and I have to say that this was most likely the best tasting, freshest coffee I've tasted from a local restaurant in ages. I asked what brand it was and the told me "Eviva". I wondered if I could get that, and they said it's a custom brand they get from their supplier.  Definitely worth it.

I think Zack's has done something good here. I have had a few bummer meals from here, and it seems like they are back on track with this meal for certain.

I only went here because it was 24 Hours but the food did not taste the greatest. The service was poor and I felt the establishment was dirty.

I always love Zack's! Awesome fries are AWESOME!! I come here for dine in & carry out, both ways the food is amazing! Nothing bad to say, I've been coming here for years!

Food quality poor , loud disrespectful  clientele  and workers.  Only benfitt 24 hrs the awesome fries were not so awesome and had to send them back they were still frozen it is extremely loud and mostly teenagers seems like this place used to be the place to be now definitely the place not to be

My husband and I have been coming here for years. When we lived in Plymouth, we easily ate here at least once a week. The staff are friendly and have been there forever. Everything I have tried here has been good. We still make the trip from Saline sometimes on the weekend to have breakfast here : )

30 minute wait at IHOP in Canton so we drove 10 minutes to Plymouth to eat at Zac's. Immediate seating with coffee right away. Food was fast and fresh. Eggs were cooked perfect. I had sunrise special. Wife had the hash. Bill was under $20. I should know better and stay away from the national chain restaurants. They do need to turn off the chime on the front door during busy hours. that was annoying.

Yikes! More than a few negative reviews on here but I had a pretty good experience....factoring in that it was 2am and I was famished.

I ordered the "Zack's Special" or some such thing...three eggs, toast, sausage gravy and like 8 sausage links....I'm sure I'm forgetting something that was piled on my plate but all in all a pretty solid mess of food to mop up. My eggs were just a little underdone but no complaints. It's a welcome greasy spoon after a long night out on the town.

Simply the worst service I've endured at a restaurant in a very long time. We waited 20 minutes for the server to acknowledge us, then we were greeted with a very rude "Are you ready?" After taking the order, the server threw a couple of looks towards my girlfriend that made her wonder what she had done wrong. The looks were nasty enough that my girlfriend actually walked over to ask the server what she had done, then cancelled her order after getting a condescending reply and an insincere apology. This is not something I have ever seen her do before, but the rudeness was incredible.

The rest of the party received our orders timely enough after ordering, and the breakfast bagel sandwich was quite tasty, but the only time after getting the food that we saw our server was when she handed me the bill. Not once did the server ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything, just "are you taking this?"

Being human and having worked in food service, I know that people have bad days. I try to be patient and understanding, but the blatant disregard with which our party of 8 was treated will ensure that I will never eat at this place again.

Ordered a simple carryout mid afternoon on a Saturday - patty melt and soup.  Waited 30 minutes or so for no apparent reason (small crowd inside) and finally received the patty melt and immediately noticed there was no soup in the bag and inquired about the soup (already paid for) and was asked what kind of soup and proceeded to wait for the soup and never received an apology.  Upon trying the patty melt a bit later noted it had raw not cooked onions on it - a truly miserable experience.

Zacks is hit or miss.
I Like awesome fries and Cookie Monster sundae and most breakfast.

Service can be really good or really horrible.

Food is pretty cheap. This place is a big hangout for local teenagers.

The awesome fries (well done) used to be AWESOME but not anymore.  Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone down in recent years.  My mouth would water just thinking about their delicious greasiness but alas, that is no longer the case.  

I don't usually like eating in the restaurant as it is usually filled with obnoxiously loud teenagers or drunk people depending on the time that you go since it is open 24 hours.  Food is cheap but you are getting what you pay for.

Yuck. Don't go here. Ever. Recently visited with a big group (this wasn't our first choice but was the only place that could seat us all together). The guy that ordered breakfast for dinner was the smart one.....because it's hard to screw up breakfast. Thankfully I wasn't too hungry and stuck with a side salad and soup. The salad was a joke....iceberg all the way and the most disgusting ranch dressing ever.  The soup was meh....it was edible. I am actually embarrassed I suggested this place. Would have been better to go elsewhere and just not sit together.  Giving one extra star because the waitress who took care of us was pretty on the ball!
