I walked in here today, extremely wary considering I eat a mostly vegetarian and lactose-free diet.  For this reason, pizza joints have never been anywhere I would ever frequent or find anything of value.

Incredulously, I studied the menu.  I noticed off the bat that everything was organic (okay, that's good). All of their cheeses and meats are from grass-fed animals (Well, that's a step in the right direction, but I still don't eat that). Their salad menu was interesting and had a wealth of healthful options. (Okay, im interested now...) Then, I saw it. VEGAN PIZZA.  Completely vegan. Meatless protein crumbles and veggie "cheese" on your choice of wheat, regular, or gluten-free crust loaded with veggies. It was absolutely amazing. Finally, a pizza place for the "rest of us".  The prices are actually very fair for what you are getting.  For a salad, a small pizza, and 2 waters, my bill was $24.00. A bit pricier than what you may be used to, but this is not the cardboard you would order from the closest pizza delivery, either.  It's worth your money.

I also ordered an arugula salad with balsamic vinegarette, which was really good as well.  My one and only complaint is that there are 3 sizes of pizza: small, which is prettty small. (about 5 small pieces. Totally more than enough for one person, but two people may feel undersatisfied without a side salad.) and then medium, which is HUGE. (Two people would have trouble finishing this.) Need I say more about the large? I felt like there should have been a size in between small and medium.

However, I now have a place where I can eat pizza without fear of being poisoned with MSG, fatty oils, grade d meats, and disgusting corn syrups. The more resturaunts that pop up around the country like this, the better!

How have I not reviewed this place? I've eaten here many times and always really enjoy it. My favorite pizza is the Casablanca. This is where I come when I really want to have pizza but don't want to feel like a bloated rhino-sloth after I eat.

Check out their website for menu options, they really have a lot to offer.

Holy Z Salad! I frequent this venue, but I've always gotten pizza (which is also great by the way...the best deal is ordering the 2 slices and a drink for $7.50!  They have a great variety to choose from). I ordered the FRESCO APPLE SALAD. I am a huge fan of fruity, nutty, & vinaigrette dressing salads! The mixed greens were fresh and the goat cheese was the perfect compliment to the dish. The toasted almonds were sliced perfectly. All in all the proportions of each ingredient were just right. I may just enjoy a lot of fruit, but it was full of gala apples and dried cranberries...yummy! The amount of dressing was spot on (I prefer it on the lighter side). I got a size small which was a good amount for me, but if you ask them they'll show you the large in comparison.

The workers are very friendly, he automatically put my friend's slices of pizza back into the oven to reheat it! It's quick and easy, with good fresh quality food (you can see them making the pizzas as you sit down and eat). The interior is well suited for the restaurant, full of warm colors and a pleasant variety of different species and stains of wood, making it an enjoyable place to sit down and eat.

Definitely coming again before the FRESCO APPLE SALAD is gone, available for a limited time only!

It's pizza fit for Marie Antoinette and her bank account. At least, that's how I feel like but maybe that's just exaggeration talking. I went here this evening because I wanted to try something new at Ward and hot, fresh pizza sounded pretty tasty on a rainy night.

When I got there, I found that their menu had an interesting selection of pizzas, salads, and pastas. They're rolling on the healthy organic train, so if you were hoping for a dose of MSG and all-American corn syrup with your heart attack, you might want to look elsewhere.

I ordered the BZQ (small), a hipster version of the BBQ chicken pizza topped with peppers, cilantro, and corn. I asked the girl at the counter if they offered side salads and she said yes. Come to find out later, it wasn't the nibble I was searching for. Instead, it was just a regular order of salad and I think it was totaled up as a regular order. Keep that in mind, homie, because when she told me my bill came out to $22, I started questioning whether my meal came with a bar girl happy ending and if I should pull my pants down now or later.

I paid it though because I was too shame to decline. Sat outside in some drizzling rain and it was nice. The place is definitely cozy, but I like eating outdoors. Few minutes later, I got to try out my meal. Happy ending? Almost. I think the food is great. Definitely enough to feed 3 petite hungry people or 1 obscenely fat dude looking for hors d'oeuvres. The pizza was tremendously tasty, lots of flavor. I ordered a pear and gorgonzola salad which made me feel both satisfied and snooty. But for $22? As a loner diner, I just couldn't justify the price. Granted, I do have leftovers for tomorrow, but I wasn't looking to pay for two meals.

I'd recommend this place if you've got a group of your friends gathered before the movie. Food is good and comes out pretty quick. Other than that, save your money if you're going solo.

I finally came here because I had a coupon to use up.  I came around 1130 and there was a couple other people there sitting and enjoying their pizza.  I ordered a small provence pizza that came topped with a roasted garlic sauce, tomato slices, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, basil and capers for $12.95 + tax.  They said it would take about 12 minutes so while I waited it got a bit more crowded with folks coming in to order.  Its good that they also sell by the slices but the slices vary so they might not always have the type you're looking for.  As for my pizza, it was pretty good, although I wish they had given me some red pepper packets as I took my pie to go.  Their other creations sounded good and healthy so I'd def come back to try more items.

This place is great if you are looking for an alternative to greasy pizza.  They have a healthier approach to pizza and use only the freshes ingredients.  I love their different varieties of pizza...Casablanca is my favorite! It's a little more expensive than your neighboorhood pizza place, but I think it's worth it.  If you sign up to be a "Z tribe" member online, then they'll send you free coupons for discounts and such. So worth it and it's free!

I don't care much for anything healthy, the first time i had this pizza i thought it tasted and filled me up as much as soda crackers would, but from time to time I crave for this stuff. Tried the Thai pizza today, however didn't care too much for it. It probably would have tasted better with a side of peanut sauce to dip it in. I will stick to my pepperoni mushroom. The Parmesan flatbread sticks are a must.

Z Pizza serves the best pizza on the island (yes better than Dolan's), and I'd rate it highly on a national scale. What sets Z Pizza apart from other pizzerias are the fresh, healthy and mostly organic ingredients they use. They do not skimp on quality here. From crust to sauce to toppings, you can really customize your pizza to suit your dietary preferences and your personal tastes. I usually order 2 slices for $7 (you can also order 2 slices and a drink for $7.50), and ask them to briefly heat it up. I've tried 5 or 6 different types of specialty pizzas and have yet to be disappointed. The crust is always thin and crispy NYC style and never soggy or limp. I can't say what my favorite specialty is as all the one's I've eaten tasted equally good.

I really enjoy the quiet and laid back atmosphere of the shop. The music isn't blasted too loudly and the place is kept really clean. I also appreciate the fire brick oven for its quietness (not to mention it produces great tasting pizza), as conveyor belt ovens tend to be unpleasantly loud. The employees are really helpful and nice. You can't really go wrong with Z Pizza. Well, there was a time they messed up an order; they burnt it and remade it. They apologized and gave us a couple free slices while we waited for our pizza to be remade. I hope Z Pizza's use of quality ingredients will encourage other pizzerias to do likewise.

So i called in an order to be picked up. I asked specifically for the pizza to be ready in no less than half an hour. When I got there in fifteen minutes the pizza was already done. I asked them to put it back in the oven for me. I the counter dude was actually nice about it but the manager was very rude about it and gave me a dirty look that will keep me away for sure. The pizza was good but the service which is half the experience to me sucked big time.

On the rare occasion that I get to spend with my roomie and her best guy friend, we usually pick a foodie place, dessert place, and on this night we redboxed it.  The three of us were craving pizza and due to positive and happy feelings from their last visit--we decided to have our foodie threesome here.  And yes, it was gooooood!!

The three of us ordered the #2 special: A slice of pizza (already cut & ready to serve) a side salad (which is either the mixed greens or caesar) and a fountain drink all for---- $8.50 + tax.

Not too shabby in my book.  If you're craving the delicious gourmet pizzas on the board  and it's not one of the lucky chosen ones in the already sliced pizza turner, you're gonna have to order a whole pizza (small med and large i believe).  They looked delicious and I wanted to try one of them, but I opted for the tried and true pepperoni =)

This modest meal is a great deal and it's delicious.  If one slice isn't enough for you, you can always add on another slice for a couple of bucks.  The mixed greens salad was a good size, comes with onions and tomatoes on top with your choice of dressing.

For our next foodie threesome dinner I wanna try one of those gourmet pizzs, we'll see how that goes  =)

    Z pizza... As in "Z"ensational.

    I like z pizza.  They have the formula and they follow their recipe to a "Z".   Not sure what to think bout their name but I definitely know what to think bout their pizza... as my Italian aunt used to say... "Fantastico!" (in her Italian accent).  (c;

And if you're looking for variety... they got it!  As a matter of fact, it always feels like the kinda place that if you could think it up and they got the ingredients... they'd have no problem making something from your pizza imagination.

Excellent new salad! Fresh greens, strawberries, goat cheese, and candied walnuts, all tossed in a lite dressing. Yummy! Healthy, too, I assume. Curried chicken sandwich on a soft/fresh wheat bread. Very nice and healthy. My complaint is that this sandwich was served with thick-cut potato chips that appeared store-bought and greasy. Maybe the chips contained no trans fat or saturated fat, but I would have expected a healthier accompaniment to the sandwich.

Although I'm assigning only 3 stars to this restaurant for now, I definitely would return to try the other interesting menu items -- especially the pizzas.

Parking is a little humbug because the entrance to the restaurant is on the mauka side of the Ward Centre parking structure. But who can complain about a short walk when dining at a restaurant that stresses healthy, organic ingredients?

We had a grade-A 4th of July plan: Grab good parking early with a view of the fireworks by Ala Moana Beach Park.  Catch a 6pm movie at Ward.  Get dinner to go from Kaka'ako Kitchen.  Make it back to the car just in time for the fireworks at 8:20pm and eat while we watch.

Everything was on track until we got to Kaka'ako Kitchen and they were closed.  It was time to adapt our grade-A plan into a plan-B:  Enter Z Pizza.

Z Pizza looked promising:  The line was short.  The service was friendly.  The wait was purported to be quick, and it was.

We were back on track.  We were going to make it back to the car with our Greek Pizza and California Salad in time to see the fireworks, and we did.  However, this is where the plan-B adaptation of our grade-A plan went awry:  Z Pizza earned an F.

The salad was pretty good, but the pizza was completely flavorless.  I knew something was wrong when I saw my wife tearing open a crushed red pepper package after her first bite.  She NEVER puts a crushed red pepper on ANYTHING!  In this case, she was right to do so: it needed it badly.  I sprinkled quite a bit on mine as well, and it helped only a little.  The meal was expensive too.  The pizza and salad came to $34.

In spite of the lousy pizza, the night was still a success.  Next year will be even better, because we'll have a better plan-A and plan-B won't include Z Pizza.

Sometimes I get all homebody-like and there's nothing like camping out on the couch while pigging out on delicious food. Couch, check but delicious food? Verdict was still out.

When my friend and I dove into our half Napoli and half Tuscan pizza.. delicious food? Double check!

The Napoli half had such huge chunks of tomato that I was convinced they may have accidentally added pepperoni to our pizza. Anyway, one bite and I fell in love. What's not to like with garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil and parmesan? Exactly!

And the Tuscan? Also great! I love anything that has mushrooms and this pizza is made for mushroom-pizza lovers! And to top it all off? Truffle oil! I was scared it may be too overpowering but the pizza was just delish!

I wish I lived closer to a Z Pizza cause I'd have them on speed dial for every time I had a pizza craving!

I have been to Z pizza before (mostly in Kailua) and have normally received ok service.  Kailua was more customer service oriented though I must say.

The other day we decided to go to Z pizza since we were in the area.  I cannot eat dairy/meat  because I get very sick, so I like the idea that Z pizza can make dairy free pizzas.  And they market how they can make vegan pizza too all over their website and menus.

I decided to order a pizza but substitute the feta and mozzarella with their vegan cheese.  I had the cashier repeat it to me as well to make sure that they were not going to put the feta or mozzarella in it.  Since we were sitting down in the restaurant and you have to pay upfront (and I only had my credit card on me), I decided to put their tip on my card beforehand.  Big mistake.

When I got my pizza, I noticed the vegan cheese, but didn't realize that they also had put feta cheese on it too.

I took a bite out of the pizza and noticed it did not taste the way it used to, in fact it made me want to throw up because the taste was too strong, and feta is not the best type of cheese to accidentally eat cause it taste like vomit.

I asked the cook "what cheese did you put in this?" and they said "oh feta and.... oops... vegan cheese".  My stomach was already turning and I needed to go to the bathroom to throw up and I even said "i can't eat cheese it makes me sick".  I asked the cashier nicely while she was ringing someone up "where is your bathroom?" and she looked at me with attitude saying "we don't have one here".

I ran outside found a bathroom inside ward, and felt so embarrassed rushing to the stall while people were washing their hands.

When I went back to the restaurant I felt sick to my stomach, so I didn't feel like eating just yet.  All they said to me was "oh we are making you another one".  They gave my fiance a $5 coupon as a "sorry" and told him they were sorry, but they couldn't confront me and apologize.

I wanted to just go, so we decided to wrap it and take it home so we asked for a box.  instead of helping me put it the pizza in the box knowing i wasn't feeling good, the cashier just placed the box on the table and said "here you go".

The other thing that bothers me is, what would make a person think to put feta cheese with vegan cheese?

And not only that but a $5 coupon? really? Or if that was really all they could give, at least have better customer service and apologize to the person you made sick.  Can you imagine if I was severely allergic to dairy? I could probably expect this from a restaurant that doesn't speak about vegan menus, but Z pizza?  You should know better than that.

Their pizza's are good don't get me wrong, but their service is not consistent and whoever was working that day, it just sucked.

They use Organic sauce --- kuddos to that!

Always passed by this place whenever I was in the ward area and one day I was going to try it out, well luckily my bf was craving for pizza that day so this was the perfect time to try ZPizza after watching The Rise of the PLanet of the Apes which was a great movie! okay back to the pizza....

as we entered the cashier up front greeted us and immediately noticed we were looking at the menu so she asked if we have been there beofre and told her it was our first time, so she gladly gave us the rundown on the menu and whats good.

we opted for a large sized pizza and they allow you to do a half/half * 1cool point!*

1/2 - Provence - vegetarian pizza with tomato sauce, veggies were served very fresh and the crust was thin

1/2 - Thai pizza (I asked for no cilantro) comes with chicken, bean sprouts and carrots and some tangy thai sauce...only downfall no spice! I assumed it was spicy but negative but it was a-okay!

and the worker also suggested the Pear and Gargonzola salad and omg was it good! pears, romaine lettuce and candied walnuts yummmy!

Okay they claim to be the "healthy" version of a pizza joint. I will be honest I can't review their pizza because I didn't order pizza, however prices seem pretty standard for whole pizzas. They do have a special for 2 slices and a drink for around $8. I think thats the best deal.

I ordered a calzone and my wife ordered a veggie sandwich. Let me start with the positives than let em explain why I have 3 stars.

    1) Good location at Ward Center with a lot of parking available
    2) Bread is pretty good

    Now the bad
    1) Service - Okay there were three of them working, however my calzone took about 8 minutes to get my order but it took almost 20 minutes for a veggie sandwich. Seriously why does it take 20 minutes for them to make a veggie sandwich. We also asked them no onions and they smothered the sandwich with onions.

    2) Noisy - Okay I know they can't do anything about the screaming kid next to me however there was a machine that they were using which was very loud and distracting.

I just think there are so much better options of pizza in Hawaii today. Its convenient location allows you the opportunity to try Z pizza. I definitely would not go out of my way to visit this place.

This was like Thursday's lunch; unmemorable.

The $13 small pizza was described as the size of a personal pizza. The $26 pizza dubbed Large was the size of a medium.

We tried a Tuscan. The caramalized onions were good but the rest of the flavors just didn't pop. It's not the same as eating cardboard. But come tomorrow, I won't remember this meal.

When it comes to pizza I must say I have high expectations.  I could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I must say that Z pizza surprised me with the quality of toppings used and the overall taste of the pizza.  The pizza is pricey compared to your papa johns or pizza hut, but you get what you pay for.  I would rather pay a higher price for taste and quality than any deals that are out there.  This is a place where I will come back over and over again to get great pizza.

It's so nice to have more than Domino's, Papa John's and Pizza Hut to choose from for a good Italian pie.  Z's niche is pizza made with organic ingredients. Not sure if that boosts the flavor, but at least you leave feeling a little healthier.  I've had the pizza before and it's good, but not in the same category as V-Lounge, Inferno and JJ Dolan's.  The single slice pizza is a different story. Dry, cardboard  like slice as it's been sitting in the glass case for who knows how long. Anyway, I would stay away from the singles and opt for the juicier who pies.  Probably because of the organic ingredients, pizzas are more expensive.

I decided to try this place because they offer gluten free crust (for an additional $4 though).  I ordered a small cheese and mushroom pizza with the gluten free crust.  I had to order at least a small pizza because they require you to order a whole pizza if you want the gluten free crust (which is understandable but hey dont charge for $4 extra!) and then you are charged for each topping you choose.  I guess when you order a whole pizza you only get to choose the type of sauce and cheese you want.  I also got a cup for the fountain drink and their diet coke needed to be replaced or something because it was coming out as mostly water.

I enjoyed my pizza but ended up spending $19 on lunch.  If you ask me, that is just ridiculous.  The pizza only satisfied my hunger as a lunch and a snack a few hours later (I was expecting it to be at least 2 meals worth).

The second time I went to this place I decided to save my wallet and stray from my gluten free diet.  I ordered the special - 2 slices of pizza and a fountain drink for $7.99 or something like that.  I got two cheese slices and what do you know, the diet coke was working this time!  Much much better experience this time :)  The cashier's name was Michael and he had great customer service.  He was extremely polite and friendly.  He deserves a raise!

How can pizza be healthy? Ok, I would be lying if I said the pizza from Z Pizza is healthy, but it's sauce is 100% organic and so is the wheat they use. It's product is all natural and organic...so it makes it a bit better gith?

ZPizza offers a good selection of sandwiches, salads, pasta, and of course pizza. The menu features your standard items you would come to expect and some different items that could be considered "different." Be sure to check out what they have on special and of course, you can also build your own pizza.

The location is convenient in town at Ward Center, although parking can be a bit of a challenge on a Friday or Saturday night so be prepared and plan accordingly. If you are looking at just grabbing and going, there are a few 15 minute parking stalls behind Kua Aina that you can use. There isn't much seating in the restaurant so it really is more of a grab and go type of place.

Prices are rather reasonable. More than Pizza Hut but pretty comparable to other higher end pizza establishments. Also be sure to check out their two slices/soda combo or their two slices/soda/salad combination.

All I can say is "double thumbs up"!!! It was between Kua'aina Burgers or Zpizza for lunch with my bf so we decided to try someplace new and we were glad we did. I've never been there but I've tried the pizzas before and it is all 100% organic and what more can you say? When you think healthy it means healthy and tasteless but not at this place.

I ordered the combo salad+slice pizza+drink=8.95 = GREAT DEAL! there is also another combo: pizza slice+slice+drink=$8.50 (okay not quite the accurate but i know its less than $9) I had a caesar salad with one from the daily special.

The place was really nice and clean and so easy to maneuver, so you order at the cashier and gives you a number. I was really impressed on how delicious the pizza and the salad!! the salad won my pick of that place!! I should definitely go away and get pasta this time :)

As a pizza connoisseur, I thought it was high time that I gave Z Pizza a try. Honestly, I was a bit scared of it ... as I thought healthy pizza would taste like cardboard instead of my beloved Boston's Pizza and Mellow Mushroom (on the mainland ... however, it would fare well here on Oahu).

At the behest of my boyfriend wanting to eat Taco Del Mar, I was left with no choice but to try Z Pizza, as I do not partake in tacos. I ordered the 2 pepperoni slices and a drink for $8.  Since they did not have any more left, they had to make it fresh ... SCORE! I hate stale pizza!

When it arrived, I was impressed! It was not the healthy, odd tasting pizza that I fathomed it to be, but it was quite good! The organic crust, the tangy red sauce and that cheese ... yum!

I definitely give it two thumbs up!!! And the customer service was great as well! I will be back! :o)

Do you need gluten free pizza?!  You might, and they're the place on the island to get it.  Their toppings are fun without being too crazy, and all their pizza options are decently tasty.  Not my favorite pizza joint, but being able to indulge with my Celiac's pals is worth it!

The pizza is a tad expensive for what it is, and sadly it is significantly more expensive to have a GF pizza, and they will only let you have it in a small size (boo!).  Furthermore they tease you with delivery!  They deliver within a mile radius, and I live about two miles away.  I would be much happier with the pizza experience in general if they delivered!

I went here for the first time last night and had dinner -- I really loved the pizza! Our whole wheat organic crust pie was loaded with meat & veggies - if I hadn't been with a guy, I would have tried the vegan pizza which sounded delicious! Our pizza was so yummy that I finished off the last piece for breakfast this morning. No judging!

The service was also fantastic. The girl at the register was patient and very helpful as we hemmed and hawed over what to order. There were so many amazing options...or you can always opt to build your own pizza.

Parking at Ward Center is easy, so no issue there. I will definitely be back!

Went to Z Pizza for a lunch meeting and grabbed a pizza combo that came with a small salad and a drink. This is not amazing pizza by any means but it is very convenient if you're looking to grab a quick bite to eat. The slices are in a warmer right by the cashier so you can pick out your piece of pizza and head out the door if you're in hurry. I got a slice of vegetarian and it was decent. No V Lounge or JJ Dolan's but this is obviously a franchise which is meant to feed the masses en route to the movies or out at the mall for shopping.

The girl at the counter was very helpful, almost to the point of being annoying, but you have to give her props for being really into her job. She's just another high school/college kid working a minimum wage job during the Summer so that she can splurge at Forever 21. I'll take helpful and annoying over lazy and dumb any day of the week!

There's table seating as well as counter seating if you're eating solo. I'm a fan of counter seating because it doesn't feel as lonely when you're eating and you can stare out the window and people watch. I think on my next Ward shopping trip I'll have to try this Tuscan pizza Olivia D speaks so highly of. Who knows, maybe I'll have a change of heart and fall in love with Z pizza. Lord knows the price is right!

Woo hoo for a vegan pizza option and Daiya cheese! I loved the Berkeley Vegan pizza with wheat crust at Z Pizza. The California salad was great too. I can't wait to come back.

So it was after a late matinee movie at Ward when my friends and I decided to find dinner...all the 3D action made me hungry. After much debate and majority rule, Z Pizza it was. The place was busy with most of the tables eating full-size pizzas. The menu is pretty straight-forward, you can either make your own, or choose one of their signature pizzas. They stress organic ingredients with very little limitations on choices of toppings.

Like my fellow yelper, Racquel, they were having specials that night. Salad,  1 slice of pizza, drink combo or 2 slices of pizza and drink = both under $8. I got the 2 slice deal w/ the California and pepperoni. I had ordered 2 different pizzas with my hubby last time we were there, and it was too much for us to finish. Both were good, but not great. The best part was the crust; chewy and charred on the edges, just the way I like them. The friends shared specialty pizzas and the Pear and Gorgonzola salad. They obviously liked them-there was little left. I can't help but think of Inferno's Pizza...great pizzas for a great price-Z Pizza was a little on the high side.

Overall, alright place. The extra friendly staff was definitely a plus!

My favorite pizza joint!  Nice and health.  If parking was so bad, this place would receive 5 star's.

    Food:
Large portions with great combo deals.  Many types of specialty pizza's you will not find anywhere else on the island.

    Service:
    Polite staff.  Friendly and prompt.

    Atmosphere:
Modern and Hip.  Small and intimate.  Just right for a pizza shop.

    Price:
Great Combo Deals.  They even have a rewards card for every 10 slice's or something like that.

    Parking:
Very rare for someone to find a spot out front of this shop.  This is my only complaint.

If you are looking for an unhealthy greasy pizza from a company who skimps on their toppings ,then this is not the place for you.  From the menu to table, you won't be disappointed.  As soon as you walk in you can smell the ingredients, see them making it fresh, and hear the wonderful music that collectively makes this a great atmosphere to enjoy pizza.

I usually a fan of authentic New York style pizza, but this is pretty good especially if you want to eat healthy.  Z pizza brings you their own creations as well pizza classics.  Fire-baked on organic dough with organic or homemade sauce and generous handfuls of toppings make this pizza so delicious!!  They even have sandwiches, salads, and apple pie.

During my visit the staff was helpful and so professional.  Clean and pleasant atmosphere even during a rush!  Our party of 8 ordered the Napoli, Tuscan, Casablanca, and Pepperoni.  All of which was more than enough we ended up taking some home.  Napoli became my favorite that day, it is simply the best!

You can even order to go/take-out, dine in (or out, they have chairs outside), order by phone, and they deliver within only a mile of their store.

I first took an interest to Z Pizza after passing by countless of times while driving down Ward. Finally, I seized the opportunity to try it one day and was satisfied with my discovery. As soon as you enter through the doors, the workers greet you with enthusiasm and are willing to help not only first time customers with their order, but with regulars as well. They offer an assorted selection of pizzas displayed in a revolving case in the front, as well as other appetizing dishes, all for an affordable price. They also have their daily lunch specials, which is (from what I can remember) two slices and a drink for $7. What a steal!

Surprisingly, my personal favorite dishes include the arugula salad (with the tantalizing taste of candied walnuts, caramelized onions, and parmesan cheese, all tossed in a light dressing of balsamic vinegar) and the chicken pesto sandwich (which includes pieces of diced chicken, tomato, pesto sauce, cheese, and an herbal salad mix + a side of salted ruffled chips). The pizza is also delicious, not being too heavy and packed with lots of flavor.

Another plus is you'll receive free refills with any purchase. :)

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Z Pizza. If you are looking for a quick, on-the-go place to have lunch or are looking to have a lunch date with a friend, then this is the place to go.

I needed to grab a bite before an event in the area, and decided to try out their pizza by the slice. There were two groups ordering before me, so I had to wait for a bit. More like a long time. I know the extremely picky gluten free vegan people taking forever to order cannot be blamed on the establishment. HOWEVER, there was a manager or whatever at the other computer at the counter. How hard would it have been for him to realize that couple was taking forever and offer to take the order of the group in front of me? Ok, maybe he couldn't do that, but it annoyed me that I was waiting forever and he was sitting there pretending like he was working in an office instead of in view of people who were clearly waiting.

The pizza was ok. They offered to crisp it up for me, not sure if the pizza was rock hard before the "crisping up" process, or if it was the result of it. Either way, I'd rather get pizza at Whole Foods over this any day.

Pretty good pizza. Nothing amazing but decent for a nice clean atmospehere and pizza that is well made. I think if they lowered their prices a dollar a slice they would be a lot busier because it's not considered a cheap eat

Good Cali concept but not well executed.

Frozen pizza from the supermarket is better than Z Pizza.  Yeah they use organic ingredients.  Yeah there are no added preservatives or MSG. BUT it taste like stereotypical food substitutes (you know, the soy dog that is supposed to taste like a hot dog).

The sausage is mushy.  The cheese topping oozes oil.  The tomato sauce is made of unripened tomatoes.  Don't even get me started on the terrible crust.  Over cooked and dry.

Service is inconsistent.  One server was always checking in on us (excellent and the reason why I gave Z Pizza 2 stars instead of 1) However, the counter person was a mess.  He didn't want to take the time to explain their pizzas or concept to us.  When we asked if we could see a printed menu instead of straining to look at the board, he told us that there was one outside.  Finally, no employee in a restaurant should be texting on the floor.  Of course, he and the cooks all broke that rule.  I guess customers are unimportant.

Save your money and eat elsewhere.

My first time dinning here on 12/3 after putting off trying it after walking past it on my way to ward theaters.

Customer service: when I went it wasn't busy @ all there was one lady in front of me and the other worker noticed I was waiting (which wasn't long) and stepped in and took my order. Although I already knew what I wanted he made helpful suggestions to make my pizza "better".

Food: my pizza took about 15 minutes to come out (I did the create your own with wheat crust, artichoke hearts and meatballs with feta and mozzerella cheese and roasted garlic base) and when it did it was piping hot with ooey gooey melty cheese. The flavors melted in my mouth and I was in organic pizza heaven.

The only bad thing was that I paid $18.69 for my small pizza including a fountain soda drink which seems a bit pricey just for just one person:( but I will definetly return in the near future cause this place is worth returning to for sure
