i like Zgallerie out of all the other de facto mall home furnishing stores like pottery, crte n barel, restoration hardware (although i love restoration , we noted it doesnt fit the style/design of our home , and it is too expensive  for us
    :(
we haent shopped at Z for awhile becuase of their lack of great designs but this time around they had a few good designs! still the strange buddhism and witchery theme exists but we found a muted but cute little twist chair made from a one solid piece of wood, that fit rigth into our entry way.

"Bric-a-Brac", "Gee-Gaws", "Tsotchkes", "Whatnot"...these are a few of my favorite things!

Sure, it doesn't sound that manly, but let me assure you, it takes a real, virile, ultru-high testosterone manly man (like me) to pungle up a grand or two in a store like this!

Pretty things abound at Z Gallerie, to be sure...so very preeetttttyyyyy...

The Beautiful Carin and I changed out quite a bit of furniture, art, appliances and so much more in our move from the desert to the beach (there is something about cactus, turquoise and the obligatory coiled rattlesnake objets d'art that just wasn't working for us here).

But getting rid of so very much, made artsy crap reacquisition something of a necessity.

Off we went to hit the high (and low) spots for interior decoration in OC.

One of those spots was Z Gallerie...a reasonably high spot, as it turns out.

We were wandering around Fashion Island on a warm afternoon before Christmas and just sort of dropped in...on a 50% off sale...yay!

While we weren't enamored of all of their offerings (ironic faux black velet paintings, fake bear skin rugs, bejeweled and bejazzled cocktail trays) we did find some occasional tables, a couple of lamps and some shams (I know...what is sham and why do we want one?...still they do look nice...I wear them every day), at very reasonable prices!

They brought everything down to their very convenient loading area and home we went with our wagonload of new "treasured heirlooms" and "knick-knacks".

And I unloaded them, brought them in and then correctly assembled them all by myself!

    Talk about manly!

4 years ago, they sold me a leather Barolouger brand reclining chair. Recently the "finish" on the leather started peeling off.  Apparently it was not leather dyed, etc. but had some sort of "coating" applied to unpresentable leather to make appear as high-quality leather. This is NOT wear and tear that would happen to a "real" leather chair.  My chair was presented as having "real leather".  They refered us to the manufacturer.  Manufacturer is no longer in business as they filed for bankruptcy.  Z Gallerie received my money, so I turned back to them for help as the chair was not as it was represented and was defective.  Z Gallerie refused to help in any way. I will NEVER do business with them again.  If you choose to do so, you have been warned how they treat their customers.

Usually great service at this Z Gallerie. We're always greeted by someone, and usually they check up on us as well. This is important because there's often just one cashier (like yesterday) and they didn't realize we were in line. Boo!

That said, the products here are very cool. I like it here more than PB and whatnot because the stuff is a lot more eclectic. I think that every time we come in here, we always pick something up. Yesterday, it was a squirrel made out of thistles and bark. So CUTE!

I forgot how many fun things this store has for your home and when they have a sale you can definitely score some great deals. This is a store in which you find pieces that you want to display, yet not tacky

NEVER  ORDER FURNITURE HERE! This Z Gallerie store has decent service, nothing outstanding, but nothing to complain about... the huge problem is that they refuse to guarantee any ship dates. I am currently at about 3 months wait for a $5000 sectional couch which I PAID FOR 3 MONTHS AGO!  They won't call me back about it, and the clincher is that you only have 3 days after signing the purchase agreement to make a return.  This is ridiculous, and on principle, I will shop any where else I can to avoid this store in the future.

Hi, I just wanted to provide information to anyone considering purchasing anything at Z Gallerie, especially furniture. My wife and I purchased a leather sectional about 3 years ago for around $2500.00. The couch developed some tears about 1 year ago from just normal use. We just had it (3 nickel sized tears) repaired for $375.00. The repairman said the leather was poor quality and the tears were a result from soft spots in the leather and I could expect more in various areas. I brought this to the attention of Z Gallerie and they just told me tough luck...since it had only a 1 year warranty.

I can understand that for something which has many moving parts, excessive wear, but when they choose to work with sub-par vendors/manufacturers and charge a premium price..I think it is reasonable to expect better service or at least a reasonable quality product.

Z Gallerie can learn a few things from Costco, and  Room & Board. I was not even asking for refund/credit for repair etc...just brought it to their attention, and they took a defensive position.

It would have been nice for them to say, we are sorry and would contact the manufacturer to see if there was a remedy, review ...etc. Anything, especially if it was poor quality or defect.

I am not sure, but I am convinced  their business model is to sucker people in, get a transaction and then just wait until the next one comes along.

I will never purchase anything from Z gallerie again, and hopefully their knick-knacks can keep their business alive....since they are doing a good job of losing customers.
