What can I say? I'm always on the lookout for a good nail-salon and this one was right across the street from my apartment building.
Prices are reasonable and they have a good selection of services. I normally bring my own colors, but they have a good selection of their own. I'm an extremely active individual and let me tell you, these manicures/pedicures last! My last pedicure was good for over a month. I'm an avid rock-climber and have developed some very unattractive calluses on my hands. I paid an extra $5 for their "Callus Buster" and it completely restored my hands to their original state. For me, it's a very small price to pay for soft, pretty hands! If you want amazing eyebrows and a painless waxing experience, ask for Tina. She takes her time and does an amazing job.
As for convenience, I'm biased. I live right across the street. If you park on 24th Street, they will check your meter for you. I would recommend coming during off-peak hours, as the shop is pretty small and there is no waiting area.
I have tried to find a closer, equally good salon, but to no avail!
I'm sticking with the folks at Yzinn Nail Club! They do super mani/pedi's and the best leg wax...actually, this is the first place I had my legs waxed and I was hooked! No one comes close, and I've done enough wandering!
Thanks for being so worth the drive to Noe Valley; one of my favorite neighborhoods.
I started going here for the lash tinting: I've gotten my eyelashes done many times before, only at higher end salons, but when a friend told me they did a great job here for $12, I was convinced to try them out. They did as good if not a better job than the high-end places I've tried. The woman was very detail-oriented (which I appreciate when someone is putting toxic chemicals in my eye area), and even put a blanket on me so I stayed warm while the dye set! It lasted on the long end of eyelash tinting (about 5 weeks).
Now, I also go here for mani/pedis! They are pricier than Minna nails, which is around the corner on Church & 24th ($25 vs. $18), but they are way more friendly and I also don't feel as rushed as I do at Minna. The woman who seems to be in charge knows my name, even though I've only been there about 5 times. They are all sweethearts and bring you magazines and tea. LOVE!
I had a polish change for my hands here today. They were pretty efficient, doing a French polish change in 20 minutes.
The other key component of nail salons -- celebrity gossip magazines -- had ample selection and quality.
Came here for a pedicure after a nice brunch in Noe Valley. I didn't really have high expectations but even my middling expectations were not met. First of all, the girl who did my pedicure was very rough, I'm not usually that sensitive but I think at one point I was bleeding and she just kept going. It hurt a lot more than a pedicure should. Secondly, my nails were not trimmed straight, they were crooked! And when I told my friend afterward she said hers were as well! We both walked out of there with crookedly trimmed toenails. But the most egregious offense by far was that the woman who did my friend's pedicure left her for a good fifteen minutes in the middle of her pedicure! I think she left to do someone's wax. No one should be left that long in the middle of their pedicure! It was strange and there was no apology! Overall a bad experience. I will not be returning here.
Yzinn's nails is my new wax/nail salon. I made an advance appointment for a mani/pedi eyebrow for Sunday at 2, but I could have walked right in. they are set a little back from the main street so maybe that's why. The woman did a great job on my eyebrows. The best part was the end, she massaged them and my temples. I was thinking oh I forgot to look at the price, this might be expensive. But it was only $10! I've spent more than twice that $ and not gotten a temple massage ever. The mani pedi took about an hour. I got the basic spa one, which was $25, I believe. You can add on things like extra massage or callus buster or sea salt, etc for $5 each but this time I just did basic. Also on the menu are special pedicures you can get like a lavender one or a chocolate mint one, $35. maybe people whose partners have foot fetishes can come by so their feet are tasty. I loved the massage chair, and the women who did my nails were very friendly and polite. They did not chatter to me or each other, so it was nice and peaceful. I don't like salons where the people are yelling across the room at each other the whole time. My nails look great, I loved the friendliness, I loved the price, I loved the location. I will be back. Oh and they have $65 facials so I might try that too.
Just wanted to add that they emailed me in response to my last review - and they offered a free mani. It was a very nice gesture. But, I will have to pass. I did give them two start instead of my original one for trying to put the customer first and trying to rectify a bad situation good.
I just have a fear of that place now and can't give them a second chance. (I would have given them a chance to fix the lumpy nail polish, but I won't risk bleeding again!)
I don't know how the mani would have come out, and I'll never know, but the gesture was nice.

Whoa. Stay the hell away from this place.
The manicurist cut my cuticles against my will, and then… Read more »
I just had an eyelash and eyebrow tint done here, with the place under new management (I was last here with the prior management, and always satisfied). The eyelash tint was fine, with the young woman taking her time. For the brow tint, however: I asked for light brown, and she must have used black, because now I have Groucho Marx eyebrows. With red hair, this looks pretty comical. She kept saying that no, it was light brown. I was in a bit of a shock and said maybe I just needed to get used to it, but now, at home--after washing my brows some 10 times--it still looks black and comical.
I can't comment on the nail service here, but this brow job was a HUGE disappointment!
If you happened upon my previous (and only) review of a nail salon, you might see that my expectations were very low. Nail Club, a shinning beacon of hope in nail care, salvaged my infant faith in manicures and welcomed me, a novice, with open arms.
Despite the somewhat small collection of colors, Nail Club makes up for it with friendly staff, good hygiene and quality manicures.
it's still solid in terms of the precision of the mani/pedi. i did have one rogue manicurist who did a terrible job and i had to have her smears of polish removed. but usually they do good work...
here comes the BUT--they have serious time management problems. i always ask how long the wait will be so i can plan accordingly (wait and read or leave and come back) and they always lie!!! their usual thing is to put you in to soak but i dont like soaking for more than five minutes. the water gets cold and its just a waste of time.
they tend to shuffle staff around like crazy mid-task so its always weird. if they just told you how long you had to come back and then dedicated a staff person to each customer, it would be less hectic and awkward.
however it's super cheap and my nails look good, so i'm resigned to the shuffle and lies at this point.

I had to break up with my last manicure spot after a few tragic waxing and pedicure incidents, and I checked out each spot in Noe for its replacement. Yzinn won, hands (tee, hee) down. The place is tucked in a back (read: quiet and private) corner behind Savor Cafe and has everything one could ever want: Great pedicure chairs, all the latest gossipy magazines (not that I know, since I always bring along a copy of Political Science Quarterly, of course), incredibly friendly staff and a spacious upstairs waxing area. Apparently, you get something free with a frequent buyer card, but I have not reached the pedicure promised land just yet.
Update: If you park on 24th Street, they'll feed your meter for you.
nail and waxing businesses are a dime a dozen in the bay area. unless i go to a salon, i have generally been unimpressed with the quality of manicures and pedicures i get (you get what you pay for, that is the truth).
however, nail club is different. i can't speak for their waxing services, but whenever i get a manicure or a pedicure here, they do a great job. and i am hard on my nails (and toenails) - these manis and pedis LAST. plus the women who work here are really friendly and accommodating.
i'm often in the neighborhood so it's not inconvenient for me. whenever i go somewhere else for a manicure or pedicure, i always question why i didn't just go to nail club...
As a gay man with scarred eyebrows, I'm very picky when it come to getting my brows waxed. Over the years, I've had a lot of good waxings, as well as some terrible ones where the technician didn't know how to deal with my scarred spots, but I love the lady who has done my eybrows at Yzinn. I've been 4 or 5 times, and each time, she's done a great job--even better, I've never had to wait, and it's a lot less expensive than going to the Castro
Did not have to wait too long for a pedicure without an appointment on the afternoon of New Years Eve, but the service was rushed and the staff seemed disorganized. The technician who performed my pedicure was completing another woman's pedicure, but was then redirected to begin my service before completing the first woman's service. This patron was understandably frustrated by being redirected from the spa chair to a chair by the door and told to wait for another tech to paint her nails. She expressed her frustration (quite politely) to the staff that she had scheduled an appointment and was receiving very slow service but then still had to wait almost 15 more minutes for someone to paint her nails. This was awkward for me; I felt badly for the woman being shortchanged on her service but did not know what to say while her tech was busy scrubbing my feet. The pedicure was just okay, the massage (my favorite part of a pedicure by far) was unmemorable and short (maybe 2 minutes on each side). The salon was clean. I don't think I'll come here again.
Needed a last minute mani/pedi for my mother and I before we headed down to LA so we dropped by about 20min. before they were gonna close. They were gracious enough to take care of us despite the time. When we walked in the place seemed small with 3 massage chairs but it was very clean and smelled really nice. There were two walls of top of the line nails polish to choose from. The foot spa thing was very nice and clean too, the water even changed color! And did I mention the massage chair is soo comfy and relaxing. The lady who took care of me was very nice and detail oriented. She recommended colors that would match my skin tone, I've never had my cuticle done more gently and the way she cut my nails were very even. Even when I accidentally scraped a bit of my nail polish off while drying, she went back to fix it without me mentioning anything. Also it was dirt cheap to get nails done here. Mani is 10 bucks and pedi is about 15 bucks.
Parking is horrendous but if you're in a hurry I'd say park at the Bell Market that's about 20 feet away from the shop on 24th st.
I will definitely be coming back here with my friends.
