There aren't a lot of just straight-up chinese restaurants in Northwest Denver. Sure you have your Asian fusion, your Thai, your Japanese...and they are all good. But what if you just want a night in with your honey and an order of sesame chicken? That's why I love Yung's.
Thye have some of the best Chinese food on this side of town. They deliver, and are always fast and friendly.
I would recommend Yung's for your next dinner and movie in.
This place seems a pretty solid three stars, assuming you can deal with Kari-Out brand soy sauce packets, styrofoam plates, and plastic utensils. A better bet is to take the feast home and add your own favorite soy sauce if you need any.
We got a family dinner for two for $25.50, definitely a good value since it includes two servings of soup (the usual three choices) plus a very generous pu-pu platter, fried rice, and any two large entrees from the menu. In addition we ordered scallion pancakes which were rather disappointing, the worst thing we had -- but oh well, everything else was better. Some of the meal was ordinary and just okay, but there was enough food for a couple of meals at least; and several items really stood out as tasty. One was the pu-pu platter's spare ribs -- delicious, huge, well seasoned, and meaty, some of the best I've ever eaten. That's definitely something I will go back for. The chicken wings were good and very freshly hot from the fryer. Our entrees were royal spare ribs which are tasty chunks of spare ribs marinated in a soy sauce mixture with scallions and onions, and rock salt shrimp which was good (but not as great as JJ's Chinese makes it). However, it tasted really good cold the next day. The fried rice was average, but by that time I was pretty well stuffed.
