Gotta give em 5 stars because my sister and I have been obsessed with their wow cow lately (less guilt despite the huge servings haha!) and have been punching out our stamp card fast in a short period of time haha. The flavors change daily, but there's always something that I like.
The people who work here are always friendly and coming here makes me happy ^___^Listed in: Frozen yogurt, me likes

I have no idea how the inventor of the "kid size" ever determined that anyone defined as a "kid" could devour the mountain of creamy and delicious yogurt in what happens to be the smallest size available.
That being said, Yumi Yogurt definitely earns their street cred in value. For only $3 and some change, you get enough yogurt in a kid size for two adults to share. How anyone could eve finish a size larger than a kids size...is beyond my comprehension. You can also get a quart to go if you're on the run, which hopefully you're also bring home to huge family because I know one person would probably not be able to finish a quart for like a month.
Yumi Yogurt isn't your standard yogurt place; they offer daily flavors and a few toppings for $1 but the dispension of the yogurt is all handled by their employees. But you are free to request for some samples and the flavors do tend to be a little bit different from the standard classcs. Last time they had Kahlua Cream and Chocolate Milano. Oh you fancy, huh?
There's also a little bit of seating in the shop, and it's usually available because the place is usually never too crowded. However, I can't guarantee you'll feel all that welcome. Most of the workers there are high school or college students, and they are not too excited to have customers. I usually get a few dirty looks whenever I go in there. Aside from that, Yumi Yogurt earns a full 4 stars.

I discovered that there does exist a low carb yogurt! And that is here. This place is amazing.
Yumi is an old fashioned yogurt shop, so it isn't tarty like Yogurtland or Pinkberry. Go back to Cupertino for that. The yogurt here is creamy and delicious, and because it's low-carb, makes me feel less guilty for eating frozen yogurt. The medium is a large portion, and it'll be enough to split between two people. I love the way they dispense the yogurt from the machine as well.
Cash only, and I will come back. -
Review from Golda R.
I would give this place a five star rating if they weren't so dang cash-based!! Please put a credit card machine in your store so you could lure me in more!!
Let me just say, their frozen yogurt is the creamiest I've ever tasted. Creamier and more bang for your buck then Pinkberry. I love their chocolate flavor, but I have to say pistachio is dang good!! Except they had to change it where the pistachio syrup is now mixed into the yogurt. Before their machine would shoot out vanilla yogurt with pistachio syrup lining the outer edges. I liked it this way because I'm not really a pistachio fan and I enjoyed tasting more of the vanilla yogurt. So I guess you can say, vanilla is awesome!!
This place has tons of other flavors compared to their competitors, and you really don't need to add toppings to enjoy the yogurt.
So please install a credit card machine! I'm all about my CC's rewards points. ;) -

If you're looking for a food coma at a cheap price, then this is the place to go! I've gone here a couple of times and this is by far one of my favorite yogurt places. The yogurt is really creamy, almost like soft served ice cream, and is not too icy or watery. Unlike newer places like Tutti Fruiti or Yogurtland, their flavors are all sweet instead of tarty. They have different flavors everyday, my favorites being their swirl flavors - which they add a swirl of syrup to vanilla yogurt. Remember, if you get a small or larger, you get to choose at least 2 flavors. But whether you get a kid size or a large, you'll definitely get your money's worth with their towering servings!

Best yogurt I've ever had.
Creamy, not icy.
Not melty.
Just the perfect amount of sweetness.
Flavors change daily, but go for the chocolate!
Non-fat flavors available often.
Cheap.

If you are looking for great yogurt and don't care about toppings, this is your place.
The yogurt here is great and the portions are insanely large. The kids size is big enough for a linebacker and the large could feed a frat house. They seriously stack the yogurt 6-7 inches above the rim of the cup.
The thing that kills me at about Yumi Yogurt is the lack of toppings. I'm used to being able to choose between an array of fresh fruit and a Halloween worthy selection of candy. Here you only have a few options, and none of them look very appetizing.
This is an excellent place for yogurt purists, but ill stick with somewhere that will give me toppings.Listed in: Fro-yo

Here's the problem, I am a frozen yogurt whore, a fro-hoe if you will. I will take fro-yo whenever and wherever I can get it and anytime of day, see the hoe aspects.
Suffice to say, Yumi is the be-all-end-all for me in my short span of days upon our planet Earth. This yogurt is the best I have had to date, all others since have failed to appease me since they are all compared to the Yumi goodness that has lived in me. Why you ask is this so good? Why should I trust you? Two Reasons:
1) This stuff actually DOESN'T MELT fast and it stays super creamy. Case in point, just the other day this yo stayed intact in my waffle cone all the way to the summit as I was driving over 17 to Monterey. Find me another smooth, velvety yogurt that does the same!
2) The flavors, cost, and sizes. They change DAILY!!! You have to follow them on FB to stay up to date on what they are but here is a sample of todays:
Vanilla Cream
Dutch Chocolate
Original Plain Tart
Cookies & Cream-Carbolite (Marshmallow Caramel)
Carbolite(Heath Crunch)
Wow Cow(Chocolate Peanut Butter)
Wow Cow(French Vanilla)
When I was there they had the vanilla and chocolate, plus: eggnog, whopper, mint oreo, snickers, and tart. But this isn't the end of the story my friends, they have this technique/machine that adds a flavor injected swirl (8 flavors) into the vanilla!!! Butter pecan and/or choclate malt are my always go fors, but the possibilities are endless!!! They hook it up for a good price too, I got a waffle cone with two flavors for 4$!!! Regarding the sizes a small is a "large" at any other shop. Refer back to my previous point about the not melting, they stack this stuff so high in the cup that it is amazing to watch them do it. Just look it up here and see the pics!!!
Stop wasting time and get your ass to Yumi TODAY!!! It's worth the drive!!!!!
Note: They are cash only -

Why is it that when you live someplace you take certain food places for granted, and then when you move away you become obsessed with returning?
If I didn't actually have to socialize with people during my current trip back to the Bay Area I think I would forgo most meals and just eat Yumi Yogurt instead.
Eight flavors of frozen yogurt that change daily, 8 different flavor bursts to add even more options, and free samples to try and make your decision a little easier - what more can you ask for? They allow you to choose two or three flavors per cup depending on the size you purchase. Today I had the Wow Cow Oreo Pumpkin flavor and the Cake Batter flavor - I'm pretty sure that I heard some angels singing while eating it.
Be forewarned, the cups look quite small, but they attempt to defy physics every time they fill them with how much they pile in. A child's size or a small is really a lot of frozen yogurt and quite a satisfying portion. For ice cream lovers, they also serve Lapperts.
Be sure to pick up your frequent buyer card. Cash only, but they have a generic ATM in the store.Listed in: 30-Day Yelp Challenge, Bay Area Blitz

Review from Emmy D.
They really serve great yogurt here. Whats great about this place is they have different flavors of yogurt that change daily. If you have never been here before, you can sample the yogurts as well. The yogurt here is sweet almost ice cream like not as tart as the usual yogurt you can find at Pinkberry or Yogurtland. Since of course its October I tried out their caramel pumpkin and enjoyed it much. My friends tried the snicker bar and the Ghirardelli chocolate and thy ate theirs all up.
I'm not much of a toppings girl unless I have it with yogurt that's more tart in taste, but the yogurt here taste great alone. The consistency really holds up and not like some yogurt that start to get soft right away. The serving size is great and the price is very reasonable. They even allow you to use two flavors on a small cup.
Also if your not a yogurt fan you can have some Lapperts ice cream. You can only find Lapperts everywhere in the islands of Hawaii and certain ice cream shops. Beware that a line forms often in the late evenings. -

This place is pretty good to say the least. It has great flavors at 9-10 calories per ounce that they call wow-cow and carbolite. Most yogurts are anywhere from 20-35 calories per ounce. I would give it a perfect 5 stars if one of the two things were different.
First, there is one gentleman that is pretty sloppy on the second flavor (when you get two flavors in one cup). He does the first flavor like a pro, then the second flavor he puts on sloppy. The other girls that work there do the second flavor like a pro, but he is different. It also "appears" as if you are getting less yogurt with him, but I have never weighed it.
Secondly, there prices are a bit higher than most. It's $3.75 for the child size, which is higher than the competitors. To their defense, however; the yogurt is better than the competitors too!
If they fixed one of these two issues, I would update the review to give 5 stars.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place -

They give you a thick, swirl tower worth of yogurt. Seriously, if you ever go, turn your cup upside down and the yogurt won't flinch. The yogurt is creamy and won't melt quickly like most frozen yogurt. The prices are affordable as well.
Vanilla Yogurt: A tad on the sweeter side, but I enjoyed this over the Tart Yogurt, which lacked flavor.
Coffee Yogurt: Lacked the flavor of coffee and didn't taste real. It's better to go for coffee ice cream at an ice cream parlor.
Recommendations:
If the server asks you if you want a cap, you may think that your cap will nicely fit over your cup and your yogurt will stay nice and swirly. Wrong! The yogurt is a tower, remember? So that cap is going to crush your stack of yogurt and not look very appealing. On the bright side, you can eat out of your cap and look different from all the people that didn't get a cap.

Creamy and tasty yogurt is what you will find at Yumi Yogurt. I love the fact that they have so many flavors other than your typical fruit or vanilla. Cheesecake with real graham wafer crumbs and Angel food cake are my new faves. Where else can I get two such great flavors?
Don't be shy to ask for sample tastes. But really, it is necessary for some people to taste every flavor? I've witnessed this a few times. This holds up the line and the patrons in line tend to get irritated.
If you want toppings, be sure to tell them before they make your yogurt. They are usually placed on the bottom or mid bottom of your bowl due to the towering swirled goodness.
Stops at this place is a summer must in our house. Bring on the warm weather! -

I have grown up with this place and have never once been disappointed. I made a long-overdue visit the other day and, of course, it was magnificent. They are never sticklers about letting you try a flavor, and they make the child size big enough for an adult! They don't just fill the cup...they TOWER that yogurt!!! I would suggest asking for a lid just incase you are getting in the car, and a friend and I even split the child size and put one half into a lid.
The yogurt does not taste the same after being put in your freezer, so start small and next time get a bigger size if you want. The only downside- cash only... But it almost gives it that homey feeling too, like how in the old days you would bike with your dad to get a frozen yogurt..! It's definitely the best yogurt in town!!! -

Best yogurt shop around! The yogurt is so good here, I don't even pay attention to the toppings. I especially love that they change their flavors daily so if you're like us and go often, it is always something new. They post their daily flavors on their twitter feed too. So if you're really craving a flavor and not sure if it'll be there, seeing it posted usually nudges us to make the trip. We learned quickly to get the child size. The cup looks like it couldn't be more than a shot of yogurt (not ok when my brain is telling me to

My room mate had just picked up some froyo from the same place, so I rushed over to check it out. I was very displeased with my service on my visit here. Granted it was about ten minutes to close, but the business hours are until 10 thus I was expecting to be served.
The staff was closing up early and when I requested my flavor. The server said, "only chocolate and vanilla" so I said I would take vanilla. He was very annoyed with my request, turned around, and said, "we don't have that anymore either."
It was obvious that this individual was not interested in helping me. I left unsatisfied. Maybe the business hours should say open until 9:30 if they plan on closing up early. And I would suggest being straight up with the customer, "We've started closing and unfortunately we can't serve you right now. Thank you and come again" rather than lead the customer on.

Count this among the places that "thinks" that it can get away with constantly increasing the price, and just adding a little bit more. I used to love to come to this place. Of course that was in a better economy, and when gas prices were cheaper. A small yogurt was $3.50. Now the price is $4.25?!?! The place is ok, but everytime I come back here, the price is just a little higher. And they don't take credits cards. Come on people! If you have the nerve to charge over $4 for a small cup of yogurt, then at least eat the cost of ordering a credit card machine.
Personally, I would rather save my money and walk over the McDonalds which is just next door and get an ice cream which is 1/4 the size and 1/4 the price. -
Review from Eli Y.
I have not verified this, but I'm pretty sure that a gaggle of unicorns transform love and happiness into Yumi's frozen yogurt. Yeah, its THAT good.
The first time I ever put spoon to joy (aka Yumi's frozen yogurt) I was immediately in love. My college friends and I would go to Yumi at least three times a week. Yumi can't get of because of their constantly changing menu. From classics such as chocolate and vanilla, to the oh so wonderful butterfinger and cheesecake. I have never met a flavor that I didn't like, and let me tell you...I've had A LOT of flavors.
Though the flavors alone could warrant a five star rating, the consistency is what I love. It is always perfect. So rich and so creamy. The shocking part is that you can get it to go. Put it in your car. Drive ten minutes to get home. Walk in. Wash your hands. Unwrap it. And when you put that first spoonful in your mouth the consistency has not changed one bit. It's still perfect. This is my evidence for my unicorn theory. I dare you to challenge it.
The one draw back here that I'm sure some people will complain about is the lack of toppings. Yes, they don't have many. But this is a frozen yogurt shop, not a toppings shop. If you want toppings then buy a bag of m&m's or get some strawberries. But if you want frozen yogurt then get yourself over to Yumi.
(One might argue that unicorns don't come in gaggles. I beg to differ)Listed in: Sweet Tooth

Great frozen yogurt, price is a bit high but ultimately worth every penny.
What is with all the people whining about the service? They're high school kids, what do you expect? Are you getting a $50 steak you plan on tipping 20% on on? Get over yourselves, it's a freakin ice cream stand.
They have 8 different flavors that change every day. If they ever have strawberry shortcake, you MUST get it - it's by far the best flavor. I think they also have ice cream and smoothies, but does anyone really get those? -
Review from Tina A.
Words cannot describe how "yumi" this place is. Go in and you'll see that regardless of the hour, the weather, the state of the economy, people will be lined up for this dense yogurt with generous toppings. Flavors change daily and there are always WowCow and Carbolite options.
Beware: they only take cash and a child's size is more than enough to hit the spot. -

Beware: Portions are LARGE!
Although at first glance, you're thinking $3 something for a "child" size? What a rip-off.. so most would end up getting the child size and it is SO large. For most people, you could probably have 3 people share it as a dessert since they really pile that yogurt on the child cup!!
The yogurts taste more like soft-serve American ice cream. The flavors change often. The flavored ones aren't tart, but creamy except for the one labeled tart. Today, the Man and I chose 2 flavors for our child portion: the peanut butter and his half was something chocolate. Both were wonderful, but the peanut butter tastes like a smoother Reeses candy. Of course, we couldn't finish the whole thing but it was definitely worth the money!
Yumi Yogurts has normal sized tables that you can sit and enjoy your desserts alone, with someone, or as a group and they don't give you dirty looks if you linger. Only downer? It's cash only but there's an ATM inside... Yumi yogurts is yummy in my tummy! -

4 Stars for YOGURT only.
What really irks me is they do not take debit or credit, ONLY CASH! I can't tell you how many times I have drove by and wanted some but had no cash on me so I couldn't go. Come one business owner, people would be coming in EVEN MORE if you would just put in goddamn debit/credit
machines! grrrrrrrrr 1 star for that!
Also...they use Styrofoam cups..which is terrible for the environment. But it seems like the owner doesn't give a crap about appearence/ environmental issues by lookin around. Come on owner, get with the times! :(
Staff, generally nice...often highschool kids (who else would work here?) seem terribly bored and may come off as not so nice to ppl. I have never had an issue, but some have...might wanna watch it kiddos, ppl on yelp
can start naming names etc...
The sizes are decent, even the kids size is big for me...they need to make an INFANT size haahaha :) -

5 stars for having carbo-lite froyo!! 10 calories per oz is a diet friendly frozen yogurt. And their servings are enormous! I can barely finish a child size on my own. The froyo is creamy and delicious.
But if your looking for a refreshing tart froyo, you won't find it here at Yumi Yogurt. -

This is going to be short, sweet, and to the point.
When my girlfriend has her. . . cravings. . . it is usually this Yumi Yogurt that is at the top of her mind. Good portions, great flavors- she likes the cookies n cream, I like the lemon meringue.
Guys- when your woman has her. . . cravings. . . take her here. It will make you look like a hero.
Women- when you have your . . . cravings. . . great place to get your fix. -
Review from Lis B.
My favorite Yumi locale for one reason: two Carbolite flavors per day. Some taste good and some taste meh, so it's nice to have the choice. Other flavors change up so often it's not even worth mentioning them. Just steer clear of the tart since it's not that great.
Pricing is reasonable for what you get. It ranges from $3.75 child to $7.75 quart. Cash only. Quarts here are a bit less generous than at other Yumi locations, but maybe it was just my server on that day. He coudln't have been nicer, though.
Parking is okay; it's in a tiny strip mall that gets kind of dicey at night with lots of angsty teens hanging around.
I still love you, Yumi. -
Review from Esther Y.
Wow. Child size should be renamed "get-this-if-you-want-your-child-to-be-obese" size. They sure know how to make a tall swirl out of that little cup! I was impressed that they got 2 flavors into that little cup, and both some 6-7 inches tall! After I finally got to the cup rim level, I regretted not sharing the child size with my friend.
This place isn't really comparable to "Asian-style" froyo such as Tartini. It's definitely more American - thick and creamy, more sweet flavors. The tart wasn't tart enough for me...it was more just to balance out the sweetness of my blueberry pomegranate.
Pretty good overall, but I definitely still prefer Asian-style self-serve froyo. This place offers a great value though. -

I have been there many times and the yogurt is always really good. Tonight I had the worst experience there. My wife and I got there 10 min before they closed and they already emptied all there yogurt except for vanilla and chocolate. Then they closed right at 10pm and kicked us out 2 min later. Very rude to do that. There was one other lady they kicked out too. I don't think I will be going back because of this. It seemed like they just wanted to get out of there and didn't care about the customer.

The yogurt is good but this is the second time I've gone in there to be met with unprofessional clerks working behind the counter...literally ignoring me when I walk up so they can finish texting or phone web surfing.
Yes this has happened to me twice here. I gave them a pass the first time.
Today I was literally standing there in front of the girl while she kept busy texting for another 20 seconds or so until she finally acknowledged me. It really was sooo rude.
Also, get with the times Yumi Yogurt, who uses styrofoam anymore? They do. It's so un-green and un-cool. If you ask for your yogurt to go, they squish a plastic lid on and when you take it off later, you have a giant yogurty mess on your hands. So impractical.
This place annoys me.
There are plenty of other yogurt places around so I won't be going back to this location. I don't like being treated like that. Thankfully, a PinkBerry recently opened up on El Camino and San Tomas.
The only reason they got two stars is because the yogurt is decent, but nothing that I can't get at another place. -
