The atmosphere/ambiance is really nice. The food is good. Service was good, but could have been better; more attentive; wish I didn't have to try so hard to flag them down for the check. But, we were the late-night crowd, so I understand when you get tired, aren't paying as much attention.
The soups hit the spot for this weather. Hot & Sour soup and seafood soup were good, but the seafood soup definitely outshined. Green Curry Pork was good, I love bamboo shoots but the pork was too dry, hence the non-4 star rating. Lighting was good and for being so close to theater district and times square, i give them a lot of props for being above average and not-sub-par for the tourists. Would I come back? Sure, if I was in the area and in the mood for thai. Are there other restaurants nearby that i like more? absolutely.

I'm the girl who protests to hate certain ethnic foods, until I actually try it and it turns out not only do I not hate it, but I effin love it.
My husband finally got me to conquer my fear of thai food, we ducked into Yum Yum to meet some family for dinner and my life is forever changed. Ginger-vegetables and tofu were so delicious I was craving it for three days after that.
I'm a little bit surprised how much I enjoyed my experience here today.
The place is trying to be elegant, but it's not at all contrived or forced, there's no pretense or affectation, things are just minimal and clean.
I wasn't in the mood to sit outside -- I'm hungover and didn't feel like being on display or watching the people parade --so in my ongoing journey to try each and every single Thai food restaurant in Hells Kitchen, I chose Yum Yum Bangkok Too because it was calm and quiet. I was actually the only person in the restaurant.
I had the spicy shrimp soup (just the right balance of sour and spicy, not at all too oily), the vegetable dumplings (good simple flavors, covered in a delicious thick soy sauce and dehydrated garlic shavings), the vegetable/tofu spicy sriracha noodles (I really loved this dish, fried egg yolk bits give a wonderful contrast to the limp perfectly cooked noodles, all the vegetables were done just right, the tofu was great, and the sauce was very flavorful), and coconut ice cream (which was good and simple, a very good end to my meal).
This isn't my ideal Thai food, it's sort of your standard run-of-the-mill Thai, and I tend to like things a bit more funky and spicy, but for a slow casual lunch alone and not wanting to trek all the way to Elmhurst, this served its purpose very well.
The service was very nice, not at all impatient or rushing -- they never watched over my shoulder yet they were always right there to remove things and refill things at just the right time.

I went with some friends because the menu didn't seem too pricey, and the inside of the restaurant looked decently chic. The food was all right, nothing too special, but the worst part was the service. Our waitress never came around to check on our table, lost our order and didn't realize it until 30 minutes later, then brought us the wrong entrees. Definitely nothing special here.
Went back to Yum Yum since it's around the corner from my place and decided to grab some take out. Before I had the sweet and sour chicken and this time I wanted some pad thai..... MISTAKE!
Worst pad thai I have ever had. No flavor whatsoever.... did they even use peanuts. I have never been so utterly disgusted in my life. I mean granted I am most definitely hard to please where thai food is concerned, but realllllyyyyyy?!!! Pad Thai is classic, how can you mess this up?! I would go for 1 star, but the other dishes were good... including the duck rolls that I tried.
Also beware, of the eight restuarants with the same name, the pricing is different at Yum Yum Too (the nice brightly lit one) is more expensive for the same stufff.... gross!

I've been here many times, and for some reason, I always order the pineapple chicken. Their lunch special is very good and cheap. It includes the entre, an appetizer and also soup. Their dumplings are good too.
Went on a very, very, very cold Saturday night to escape from the (wait for it....wait for it) COLD! Um, why is there a Yum Yum on like every corner? What are you, Starbucks? I can see another Yum Yum from this Yum Yum! Yum Yum overload.
I am always of a place that advertises their fabulosity in their title. See:
*Honest John's Used Car Sales (you're getting ripped off)
*Famous Ray's Pizza (you are HORRID)
Or....in topics not related to food:
*Dudes who boast about how good they are in bed (it was *this* big! and it was so boring I fell asleep...twice)
The food was alright-nothing to write home about and the portions were small. We ordered a curry puff, spring rolls and pad thai to share and uhhh...I'm not gonna lie- left kinda hungry.
Horrible service-went without water for pretty much the duration of the meal and we were sitting at the bar. I almost reached over to grab the hose thing to get some H20 up in my cup.
They were busy and the bus boys were from another planet-the restaurant is prob 600 sq ft and the bus boys were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, knocking things over and dropping things. Where was the restaurant manager in all of this? Who knows.
Maybe the bus boy was on the special menu? 1st person to catch the man wearing all black gets to BBQ him. Had I known I would have played that game! I've got reflexes like a CAT!

I came here with two friends after having a hard time choosing which yum yum (I think there has to be at least three right next to each other!) to try for the night. I've been deprived of some hearty thai food for awhile and was hoping this place would hit the spot.
We all had the prix-fixe meal for 15.99. It included the choice of appetizer (spring rolls or dumpings - I had the dumpings), soup (coconut or spicy something - I had coconut) with salad, main entree (pad thai with chicken - usually a hit or miss at thai restaurants), and ice cream or creme brulee (they didn't have creme brulee that night so I opted for green tea ice cream).
The decor was nice and the ambiance felt pretty cool. However, our waitress was horrible. It seems like the restaurant is understaffed and this definitely affected the service. After not receiving any of our food or my friends drink (she never got it, in fact), the waitress finally came over to tell us she "forgot" our order and had to take it down. Still, she continued to forget what we ordered and kept bringing out the wrong entrees. Our drinks were rarely filled. However, the other wait staff seemed pretty nice but our evening was a drag mainly because of the waitress. The food was okay but it wasn't anything special and was rather average. Even if the service was great, I don't think I'd look to Yum Yum Too to fulfill any thai cravings.
Also, I was very irritated when the same waitress hovered above our table with a side glance to see how much we'd tip. Talk about professional. I'm sure she knew she screwed up a hefty amount of time to be worried but that definitely did not add to what we were giving her.
Overall.. I doubt I'll ever go back and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Except maybe to avoid that particular waitress.
Well. (I seem to be using this as an idiom a lot.) I just had dragged my recuperating friend from her hotel room and insisted that we continue with our plan of dinner and a movie. As she wasn't averse to Thai food, we popped in here.
Amid the garish and overly contrived Valentine's Day decor, we were promptly seated and asked if we wanted a drink. I treated myself to a lychee mimosa (a very, very pink drink) and my friend ordered a virgin Mojito (she doesn't imbibe). Hers was pretty good as well (yes, I alcohol-tested it for her).
They had this neat "buy a cocktail, get a free app" thing they were doing, but apparently it didn't extend to mocktails. This was OK as the portions of the entrees that came after our appetizers were enormous.
The Spicy Tamarind Sea Bass was a hit with my friend, and it was pretty tasty. However, the Seafood Pad Thai was really disappointing. I mean, how can you make Pad Thai bland? Well, apparently the chef here knows how.
Will I come back here? No. But my friend said she would, so...score?

I am a BIG fan of yummie yummie thai.. this place has the same owner of yummie yummie thai but the section of food isn't as great as the original place which is down the block.
This place looks like an upscale version of yummie yummie thai..place you go for a date.. not to chill.
Surprisingly the menu is different from original place.. they don't have my favorite soft shell crab =( disappointed.
Anyways if you looking for nice place to take someone on a date.. this is the place but if you want the taste of true yummie yummie thai.. walk 20 steps to original place.

Best lunch special in the area hands down. Have not found a better Thai place that is such a deal. They give you a selection of 2 items that come with a lunch entree, either spring rolls, steamed dumplings, soda, or soup.
Spending $8 + tax/tip is exactly what I'm looking for and when the food is also great, you can expect me back in here on almost a weekly basis.
A must dine at staple for lunch-timers in Hell's Kitchen.
Stumbled across this place going down Restaurant Row from Times Square (on 46th St; between 8th and 9th). It is situated in the Manhattan/Theater District in Hell's Kitchen.
I'm glad that we decided to walk down the whole street to check out the other restaurants, otherwise, we would've never been able to find this place.
I believe it is an extension of Yum Yum Bankok (kinda like how The Venetian Hotel in Vegas has the Palazzo Hotel); which is located on the adjacent corner. It has a very modern feel and they play cool music. I wouldn't say this is your hole-in-the-wall authentic type Thai joint, as their food presentations are quite fancy. They have excellent drink specials. Buy 1 cocktail (ranging between $8-10 bucks) and get 1 of the following appetizers for free: Edamame, Spring Rolls, or Dumplings.
The wait staff is very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the Mussaman Chicken Curry. It consisted of tender pieces of chicken in coconut curry sauce with onions, peanuts, potatoes, avocado chunks and carrots. OMG! It was soooo yummy! The food portions seemed a little small but I still felt quite satisfied after dinner because of the cocktails and free appetizers.
My boyfriend had the Panang Beef which sat atop a piece of squash and served with green beans. The presentation was lovely and reminded me of something you'd see at a French Restaurant or something!
It was a really great place with decently priced food. It doesn't have a feel of your typical authentic Thai restaurant because it's really hip and modern. Even the serving dishes come in cool contemporary shapes. I really enjoyed the "Buy 1 Cocktail get and Appetizer for Free" deal! I would definitely recommend this place!!
Last dinner in New York and my hubby and I wanted Thai food. We walked to Hell's Kitchen and perused the many different establishments there. After seeing many other thai palces, we noticed Yum Yum Bangkok and how there are 4 different restaurants with the same name side by side, respectively called Yum Yum Bangkok but had numbers associated with them. After looking into all four, we decided on Yum Yum Too which had a more contemporary design and better lighting to add to the ambiance. It seemed to me that all restaurants had the same menu and had the fixed price menu for $15.95. Because of the fixed price and seeing that all 4 restaurants were filled with customers helped make up our minds to try this place out. I ordered the 4 course menu and chose the coconut soup, the eggroll app with salad, the green curry with beef and for dessert, the creme brulee. Hubby ordered a la carte and got the panang beef and he also ordered an alcoholic drink (if you get one drink, you get a free appetizer and hubby ordered the dumplings). When we received our food, I was pleasantly surprised. The eggroll was ok but the dumplings were sooo good. The 2 dumplings had a crispy texture and had this amazing sauce on it. The coconut soup I ordered was so good, I ate all of it and wanted more. I almost licked the bottom of the bowl, it was THAT good!! Hubby's panang beef was delish. It was served on top of a slivererd squash that you can eat with the panang beef. its combination with the sauce made it heavenly. Oh how I wished that was my order. But my order was also good...my green curry beef was a big serving and I struggled to eat it all. Although the green curry was good the panang was better. So my advice is- get the panang. it is also part of the fixed price menu. The creme brulee was amazing. At first I thought, creme brulee at a thai place? oh wow, it was served in this small, cute square dish and the creme brulee was green! I thought I was full but the dessert completed the meal. It was sooo good that I tried to take small bites just to savor the yummy goodness. I was having so much fun with the dessert that I almost forgot to give my hubby any. All in all, this place is top notch with great friendly service and prices that are hard to beat in this expensive city.

I love almost all Thai restaurants, but Yum Yum Too had both abhorrent service and mediocre food.
My friends and I stopped by for the price fixe menu... and in my first course, the spicy shrimp soup, I found a giant black fly. The waitress claimed that it must be a "spicy chili pepper" and promptly whisked it back to the kitchen. I'm fairly certain that chili peppers with 6 legs and antennae don't exist.
After that debacle, the waitresses proceeded to forget our appetizers and brought random dishes to our table. Our entrees were average at best. Save your time and money for the better Thai restaurants in NY.
