The Yountville was great!!! We always stay in Yountville no matter what but decided to try a new hotel this year and we were not disappointed. The hotel is lovely, not too big but with the amenities of a larger hotel. We had deluxe room, it came with a fireplace (that turns on with a light switch! Booya!), vaulted ceilings, a mini fridge and the sofa was also a pull out. The room and bathroom were nice and roomy too. I took a little peak into some of the other rooms when they were being cleaned and they looked very nice too, I'm sure the standard rooms would be just fine. The grounds were fun too, they were villa like with statues throughout which were super fun to take pictures with after a day of wine tasting - yeah I know, I'm a dork and pose with everything!
The jacuzzi was nice and open to midnight. The common area in the lobby was very nice but there was a shortage of chairs during breakfast! The continental breakfast was fine, nothing fancy; breads, pastries, cereal, fruit, cheese, hard boiled eggs etc.
Also, every Friday night they have a guest winery come and pour for you, it was Joseph Phelps when we were there, nice! Most places do this but still worth mentioning that you get a book of coupons to local wineries upon check out.
I also cant say enough about the location, anything in Yountville is great to be honest, you can't go wrong. So many amazing restaurants just a short walk away. And don't forget about the marker, we stopped in to get some snack or anything else you might have forgotten. And I know some of you may be worried about the freeway noise but we didn't even notice it a single time.
We will certainly be coming back! We're fans!

excellent food and hotel but too pricy.
I recently strayed a night at the Yountville Inn and I was very happy with my stay. The location is perfect, as you can walk to several highly rated restaurants and there are a few tasting room, too. Our room was very large and nicely decorated and most importantly, sound proof.
This may not be the fanciest hotel in Yountville, but it sure is a great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of everything and not spend $300 or more a night. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

I wanted to really like this hotel, there were things that I really liked about it, but too many things went wrong.
My girlfriend and I booked a room in January for our expected trip in March. At the time of booking, we requested a deluxe 2 Queen room. A few days before our trip, I called the hotel to confirm our room selection and requested a patio room facing the creek that runs behind the hotel. I was told that it should be no problem, that our request would be accommodated.
After finally making it through Friday afternoon North Bay traffic, we arrived at the hotel around 6pm. The hotel is right off the highway and was very easy to find. Our initial impression upon pulling up was great - the hotel looked very cute - we spotted the first of many great pieces of art scattered through out the property.
Upon checking in, we were told that our room with 2 Queen beds was not available, that they could only put us into a King Superior room. We were assured that the room was an upgrade from our 2 Queen room and that the sofa beds were fairly new and comfortable. I was quite upset as I had confirmed our room earlier that week and was not pleased to be spending ~$200 per night to sleep on a sofa bed. We pushed back a bit, but was told that we could not be accommodated in our requested room, however they could discount that night's stay for us. Being faced with the decision to take back our deposit and try to find something else on a Friday evening in Yountville or try out the "comfortable" sofa bed, we decided not to wing it and accepted the King bed room and arranged for the hotel to move our belongings into a our requested room for our second night.
Our initial impressions of the room were great - it was a spacious room with both a fireplace and a patio and a mini-fridge. It was an end unit and a single level so we only shared one wall with another room - and we never heard them in the room. The bathrooms were quite large and well appointed. I loved the grounds around the hotel with all the statues tucked here and there. It was fun to sit on our patio with the creek just behind it, watching the lizards and squirrels dart around. The patios have privacy screens between the rooms, however some are not really private as they have a path that winds between the rooms and the creek.
That night however, we found that the beds were not comfortable - certainly NOT my sofa bed. It was already made up which was a nice touch, but I do have to wonder how long the sheets had been on sofa bed as we found crumbs on the blanket when we pulled out the bed. I would have been more comfortable for the night if I had just slept on the sofa itself and not worried about the sofa bed at all, especially since I seemed to bang my feet or knees on the metal side rails every time I got in or out of the bed. My friend found her King bed to be way too firm for her liking and the bedding or mattress to be very warm - lay in one spot too long and the bed underneath you would get uncomfortably warm.
As promised, the hotel moved our belongings from the King room into a Queen room for the second night. The room was fairly similar with both a fireplace and a patio by the creek. This was an end unit with no path behind it which was very nice, it felt more private. However, it was a lower unit - with a room right above us. And while the construction of the hotel was such that you didn't get much sound carrying from rooms next door to each other, we certainly heard much of the sound from upstairs - walking, toilets flushing, talking, opening drawers, etc. The folks in the room above us didn't go to bed until nearly 2am and were up again before 7, making for some lost hours of sleep for us. Shortly after they left around 8am, we heard the cleaning crew up there vacuuming and opening and closing all the drawers as they went. It was loud enough to wake me up just as I had finally drifted back off to sleep.
We requested a late check out and were told 1pm. Around 12:40, as we were packing our stuff to our car, we got a call from the reception desk asking how soon we would be vacating the room. Perhaps I was just grumpy at the point from a bad night of sleep, but I was a bit put off by the call as we were told 1pm check-out and we intended to be out by that time.
Upon check out, I was greeted with a bill $70+ higher than it should have been. My guess is that when they had to split the reservation due to us changing rooms, they booked the second night at rack rate. I would have expected the hotel to be a bit more diligent in checking that everything was correct, especially since they knew we were already upset with being bumped from our booked room.
I'll probably give this hotel a second chance to get it right - it had many positives. But I was left with a sour taste in my mouth with a couple too many things going wrong.

This is not a luxury spa hotel but it is a good, clean, friendly, cozy place to stay. It was very quiet and within easy walking distance to the downtown. The cozy fireplace was wonderful to have on a chilly night or morning. The brownies at the desk ... and coffee too were awesome!
I've stayed at a few places near there and thought this was really nice. The staff was friendly and helpful too!
Restful, relaxing, romanticizing...
A great property. Period.
We came upon this hotel by chance a couple years ago when we booked one night online for a day trip up to Napa. We've been returning ever since. The rooms are expansive and have fireplaces. I've only stayed in units that have the high-ceilings and patio areas - I'm not sure how the other rooms compare.
The pool and spa area just make the whole thing work in my opinion. Even in winter, steam rises off the water making a swim very enjoyable after a strenuous day of wine tastings. Breakfasts are catered by the Bouchon bakery. Delicious, but a little heavy.
The staff is pretty invisible. If you're looking to be waited on hand and hoof - please move on. I've always gotten discount cupons for return visits, and free tastings at area vineyards - yeah baby.

I'm not really in the mood to complain or explain why I don't like this hotel, but I won't be back. We decided to stay here since our favorite hotel in Yountville, Vintage Inn, was booked this weekend. I like Villagio too- but that too was booked.
So, I will let you in on the good things about this place. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location is pretty good. You can walk to all of the restaurants, Domaine Chandon and Lincoln Theatre. The gas fire place really warmed up the room quickly. I heard the pool is pretty nice.
This is the most inexpensive place to stay in Y'ville, but there's a reason for that.
We just stayed here a week ago. Very cute, quite place walking distance to Ad Hoc, Bouchon, Bistro Jeanty's and some wine tasting and shopping. The rooms were large with a fireplace , huge bathroom, lovely robes. They also sere a light breakfast which was nice. They said it had pastires from Bouchon bakery..but nothing there looked like it. Regardless, I would happily recommend this hotel and come back if it worked out.

I stayed at Yountville Inn, the location is a nice because you are very close to some of the best restaurants. So it is just walking distance. The inside had nice furniture. These hotel rooms are not going to be like the W or anything, but more of a natural feel, with a fire place, and there is fridge. There is also a pool outside because Yountville does get ridiculously hot in the summer. So if you come bring shorts and a swim suit, you are definitely going to want swim. The service was also nice as well, and you get breakfast so that is nice. They also have breakfast in the morning and the muffin is pretty good because it is from the Bouson Bakery. Be ready to spend at least $200 at night at most of these hotels. That is the going rate for anything close by.
Loved it! Very cute little Inn and the rooms were huge! I think each guest room has a fireplace and there is a little living room set-up with a small table and a couch. The location is great as well - one block away from Redd, several away from the little shops.
The breakfast in the morning is really good too. They get their pastries from Bouchon Bakery -- everything was really tasty and way better than any kind of continental breakfast at a hotel I have ever seen - even in Europe!
Only regrets about this place is that we weren't able to stay another night and we didn't get a chance to try out the hot tub. However -- great reasons to get us back out there sometime soon.
This inn has one of the best locations in Napa. We were able to walk to dinner at both Bouchon and Etoile (well, we got a ride to Etoile, but walked home). It's also just two blocks away from the Napa Valley Bike Tours Company if you want to do a bike trip. The room was large and clean. It also came with a large patio. In the future, I'll ask for a back patio, as ours faced Rte. 29.
The breakfast was excellent. I believe the pastries are from Bouchon Bakery - where they make a mean almond croissant. Nothing was fancy, but it was very comfortable, clean and convenient. Everything is expensive in Napa, but this was exactly what we wanted.
I had a good -- not great -- experience at the Yountville Inn. It was fairly comfortable and clean and very well situated. It was not luxurious, however -- and we had the Superior Room -- which was supposedly the nicest, largest room in the inn. The beds could have been better; they were fine -- but I've had better at ordinary motel chains. The table and chairs were cheap, and, frankly, out-of-place. On the other hand, the bathroom was large, tiled, and the shower had some of the best water pressure I've ever experienced in a hotel. Great shower. The breakfast from Bouchon was good and a nice touch (they should provide breakfast) -- but honestly, I'm not sure why everyone seems to go loco over it. The pastries are good but they're still just pastries. Big deal. The croissants, however, were phenomenal (but unforunately not delivered every morning).
One area where the Yountville Inn stood out was with their customer service. I found the people at the desk extremely helpful, remarkably pleasant, and an overall delight. All of them were great. They took care of everything -- including securing dinner reservations at prime times for highly-sought-after restaurants and reservations at some "appointment only" wineries -- as well as providing recommendations for wineries that weren't included in the "preferred" package we received upon arrival.
I went during a special. Ordinarily, my room would have been $425 (for the superior room). For $425, I would have expected more comfortable accommodations: better furniture, better beds, an overall feeling of decadence. To be sure, there was a rustic feel about the Yountville Inn (though it wasn't exactly rustic). The location is great, yes, and the service was good, but I do not think that the Yountville Inn experience is worth that price. To be fair, there are cheaper rooms that start at $275, but even so. Napa town is just 10 miles away with options that were half of YI's cheapest rooms at normal price. Vallejo is cheaper still (though about 25 miles away). If money is no object -- specials aside -- I would think nicer accommodations could be found in this price range.
I would return on a special. Otherwise, I would check out other options.
Not my first choice for wine country, but it's a nice cozy place. The rates were good. I like that that the room was big and had a fireplace. It gave it a romantic touch. They offer a continental breakfast, which is nice to take back to your room and eat on the patio. And the jacuzzi was so appreciated after a long exhausting day of wine tasting. The staff didn't stand out at all.

we really enjoyed our stay here, we got upgraded to a huge room, loved the fireplace and the great Bouchon breakfasts. Location was great too, in central yountville. i would definitely stay here again....
This place was really nice. Huge rooms. Normally I would not write a review for a hotel after only staying there for one night, but I had left my coat in the room. They found teh coat and then shipped it back to me the very next day. They were very helpful with all of this. Great service and great rooms, even for only one night.
A romantic little inn with a rustic lodge atmosphere. The room we stayed in had a really nice stone fireplace, high beamed ceilings, and a little private rear patio. Its right in the heart of Yountville, which is one of the cuter towns in the Napa Valley area. A great place to take someone special for a romantic weekend getaway.

Excellent location for all things gastronomic in Yountville, the little town that could. Great winter specials, nice high ceilings in the room, and a large bathroom to boot.

This place has to be the best value out there in the off season. The rooms are gargantuan and beautiful, and there's a heated pool and jacuzzi in the courtyard. The location is tops -- walking distance to several restaurants and in the heart of wine country. Well worth it.
Only stayed for one night in a King Superior. I love the high ceilings. Accommodations were spacious and impeccable.
First of all let me say that I'm writing this review while lounging on the couch in front of the fire in my vaulted ceiling room! This place is great, The room is large and very comfortable. The fireplace is nice and if the weather was a bit warmer I'm sure we would be enjoying our privite deck outside our room. Last night we enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool even though it was 50 and raining(drizzle) During peak season these rooms get a little pricy ( 200+) but the winter special we got was $125 a night!!!!!!!!!!! For that price you get the best available room upon check in. The staff is very nice and helpful. Since we are here on christmas they have compiled a list of restaurants and winerys that are open today. I just hope we manage to get out of our robes and leave the room its that cozy. Also the free breakfast was way better than most I have had. Great coffe local pastries, eggs, bagels, fresh squeezed juice all in front of the big fire in the lobby. A great market and lots of restaurants and shopping are within walking distance from the hotel. I'm sure this place is awsome in thesummer but I would say winter is the best time to be here. No tourists and cheap rates.
