What a find! They have a great selection of produce, but we went for the fresh Christmas trees! GREAT selection of those with a wide range of price options, super fresh and we supported a local business!

And all this time I was starting to believe that tomatoes were supposed to hard and tasteless...we discover Young's Market (thanks to our friend Doug) with a great selection of locally grown produce. The peaches smell like...peaches (someone tell the local grocery chains), and the tomatoes are perfect. I can't wait to build a Young's inspired BLT.
Don't care much about all of the garden tchotchkes, although I do have a neighbor who would love the gnomes, angels, frogs etc., - hopefully he won't find out.
Priced by the pound or by the box, this is the place to buy fresh produce. My only negative is that they charge $4.99 for a small baggie of roasted Hatch peppers. At that price, I'll roast them my self. -

An interesting combination of vegetables and garden supplies.
We went for the veggies and found the tomatoes to be excellent. -

You know what's sad? When you discover a place that's been there the whole time and you never knew about it. Dang.
On the outer fringes of the area in which we live sits Youngs Market. We were referred there by another garden center because that place was out of what we were looking for. We found Youngs and discovered this is much more than a garden center...
First we saw (and smelled) the Hatch chiles being fire roasted outside (we later found them in baggies on the shelves of the produce section, still warm). Inside we saw Palisade peaches, Rocky Ford cantaloupes, gorgeous vine ripened tomatoes and much more. This is a true local Colorado produce market.
We had also gone out in search of canning supplies (we were headed to Edward's Meats-- see my review of them), but were very pleased to find an outstanding collection of canning stuff at Youngs.
There is indeed a great little garden center in there, too, and the head gardener was cool, even when we asked him copletely ignorant questions.
The woman who helped us (Elizabeth?) was really nice, personable and helpful.
I can't wait to go back to Youngs. I just wish I had known about it sooner!
