I like cemeteries, so I was interested in seeing Yosemite's original cemetery. It's tiny and rather easy to miss but a nice, quick place to get a sense of the history of the park. There aren't too many graves but they date from 1870 to the early 1900s, and include the original settlers (e.g., people who worked in the park early on and their families) and some Native Americans. The stone for the headstones comes from Yosemite Park. The cemetery area is fairly quiet and more peaceful than other areas of the park.
