Review from Taylor B.
Manhattan, NY
Lamenting my move to FiDi - the land void of 16 Handles, Tasti D, and even PinkBerry - I turned to the google, hoping to score a fix to quell my unease. Yorganic popped up immediately and I knew the time had arrived. Walking in, the staff here served me with a sample of the good stuff, but then I found something that blew my froyo-addicted mind: SOY FRO YO. Ahhhh! At approx $5 a cup, this little habit may break the bank, but I suppose I can think of worse ways to spiral.
The staff knows its stuff; not too many yogistas can spout out topping recs AND caloric information at the drop of a dime, but these people get me. Unfortunately, Yorganic lacks the aesthetics of the aforementioned joints. While that shouldn't affect my feelings toward the place, it sorta kinda does. But hey, at the end of the day, I'm okay with losing the fun pink lighting if it means I'm only putting ingredients into my body that I can pronounce (a solid selling point straight from the mouth of the owner).
UPDATE: I received a message from one of the owners of Yorganic following my review. As if the yogurt didn't do it for me, knowing that this business is run by people who care - and not just a big corporation - makes me even more likely to frequent Yorganic. -

I've been working on eating healthier while I get in shape and I was referred to check out Yorganic and to get the Bliss Bowl.
For starters, you pick your base. They have a small selection, but the brown rice is a bit extra as they are trying to catch folks who are trying to eat even more healthier.
You choose 4 basic toppings, which are mostly veggies while the nearly all the proteins are considered premium toppings for about $2 extra.
Finally you choose your sauce, of which they have an ample selection to choose from.
It can get pretty pricey fast when you start adding things of your choice which are more likely to be found on the premium toppings.
The taste itself tends to be ok at best, but the sauce is what really brings everything alive. If you add your sauce and mix it thoroughly, it really becomes an extremely delicious meal.
It's a good place if you're trying to stay on the organic, healthier side of things, which I imagine is most of their clientele. -

I really wanted to like this place because I love the concept of healthy yummy food alternatives so i waited until i ate there a few times before writing this review. I feel like I have given them a fair shot. I would give them 3.5 stars but not 4.
The Rice Bowls:
I always get the brown rice. Veggies very nice crisp, love the eggs and bean sprouts. The problem was the meats (the pricey meats). The roasted chicken is SO dry. The sauce on the spicy chicken is like a buffalo sauce on cubed chicken breast but with a weird texture, almost like there's something crushed in the sauce. I almost gave up on paying $2 extra for their meats because i was 0-2 but then i tried the marinated beef. The beef is tender not fatty and has excellent flavor! It's 2.25 extra but i was much happier with it.
The sauces:
I find them completely unnecessary but i've tried them so i'll review them. The toasted sesame soy is pretty tasty as is the lemongrass ginger. The pineapple teriyaki is just ok, reminds me of the stir fry of my college cafeteria.
The Yogurt:
Very light and refreshing....very pricey as are the smoothies.
Conclusion: If you experiment you can find a combination of food flavors that will make you very happy and satisfied. Definitely too expensive to do everyday (with a drink i usually spend $13) for lunch but if you want a good healthy filling meal then just find your perfect combo and enjoy! -

I got tired of going to Flavors for a lunch salad so I asked around if anyone knew of a healthy place to grab some lunch. A colleague mentioned Yorganic...
I walked over and ordered a great bliss bowl from one of the best lunch menus I've seen to date. Healthy choices galore! I can't wait to go back! Brown rice, grilled chicken, protein rich toppings like edamame.. You won't go wrong here! -

This review is for the fro yogurt only. They were out of flavors, except for the plain. I really wanted to try the green tea.
It was icy, too tangy, felt like it was full of air, and seemed like the large cup was only half full. I should have asked the counter guy to fill it up more, but I'm not bold enough.
The place seemed clean and I would try it again for one of their rice bowls, but never again for the overpriced (I guess because it's organic), tiny portion yogurt. -

Organic. Healthy. Delicious. What else can you ask for!
I frequented Yorganic practically everyday when I lived at Hanover Square. Right before 9pm (closing time) I would get a sudden urge for my favorite frozen yogurt and run downstairs to beat the lock. I usually get a soy/9 cal swirl with mochi. Yummmm, I want it now. What is 9 Cal? Ohhhh I don't know, ladies, only the best sinless froyo ever! 9 calories for every ounce? You don't even have "the diet" as a reason to stop yourself from coming here! Since moving, I've come from far and ordered the large so I can put it in my freezer and make it last a smidge longer. I've also tried their rice bowls which are so awesome and satisfying. Like I mentioned, everything is organic and you can choose your protein and toppings on a bed of brown rice. Basically: I'm a fan and you should be, too! -

3.5 stars, review of froyo only
Had a bellyache at work the other day, but was also craving a snack, so I figured some frozen yogurt would be appropriate (probiotics are good for your stomach, yeah?).
Was going to head to the froyo truck around FiDi, but decided to try Yorganic instead. At 3pm, the place was empty and pretty quiet. I picked up a medium cup of plain froyo ($4! not bad, especially since the truck is $4 for a small), and nommed while walking my bellyache off outside.
The texture of the yogurt was good--not at all melty/mushy like some places. My one complaint would be that it is not as tart as I would like it to be. Regardless, I think I would come back to satisfy any froyo cravings since the price is reasonable.
They also have lunch foods, etc. but I didn't take a good look, so no real comments on that.Listed in: FiDi lunch

Great yogurt! It's light and refreshing. I usually get the "credit crunch" or make my own; bananas, blueberry, walnut, choc. chips, cereal, cinnamon. They have a great variety of fresh organic accoutrements; it's like TCBY but cleaner and healthier.
Just make sure you watch them make your order. I caught one of the workers adding Peanuts to my shake once. -

Bright & happy little piece of healthy happiness in the financial district. So far I've only tried the smoothies but the food menu sounds delicious. Will definitely we returning on my next trip to NY with as empty of a tummy as I can manage.

Excellent build-your-own yogurt-based smoothies. I have lived around the block from this place for a year, and never went in. Tried it a few weeks ago for a smoothie, and have literally gone back almost every single day since. Excellent. The guys in there are really nice, too. You can customize your smoothie, or choose one from a list of "special" smoothies. I typically get one made of original flavor yogurt, chopped walnuts, and chopped chocolate chips. Sometimes bananas added. Addicting.
Not cheap though. $7-8 for a small size. But completely worth it. -

This place quickly grew on me.
I would get a small yogurt with mochi, kiwi and strawberries. Ah what a delight.
Then once the weather started to become nicer and I started to walk to work from Fulton Street down to Water Street and Old Slip, I passed by Yorganic and their $1 coffee deals.
I was hooked on their morning coffee.
I've been told their bliss bowls are phenomenal, I haven't caved into them..yet.
Bon Appetit! -

Best frozen yogurt in Manhattan
Recommended:
* Plain frozen yogurt is not too sweet or too tart, great quality, so yummy. A little pricey at $3 for a small but you can't argue with the product itself. The only place where I've had better frozen yogurt is Fraiche in Palo Alto.
* The bliss bowls are amazing but pricey at $10, that's why I don't come here as often. But a great healthy product - brown rice, lean marinated meat (spicy chicken is the best), tasty sauce, and shiitake mushrooms & bean sprouts.Comment from Bo K. of Yorganic 5/1/2011

3.5 stars. Yorganic is a nice breath of fresh air in an area where it's hard to find fresh, healthy lunch options. I used to order quick, light dinners in the office from here via Seamless Web, but they recently started closing at 5 pm and directing you to their Tribeca location for nigh deliveries.
I've liked everything I've tried but their prices are a tad high. If everyone on the menu was $1 less, I'd probably eat lunch here multiple times per week.
The Foodnalysis:
- Bulgogi Wrap - This is what keeps me coming back. Looks small but is actually fairly filling given its denseness. Bulgogi (nice little kick to it) wrapped with veggies and a bit of kimchi, wrapped in a tortilla. Has a nice little kick to it.
- Beet and Goat Cheese sandwich - Tasty beets (a sadly underrated vegetable) with avocado, apple and arugula. Good, but light. Diagonally cut and served in a slim, triangular plastic containers similar to Pret.
- Yorganic Bliss Smoothie - Strangely addicting. The first time I ordered this strawberry/banana smoothie, I was hesitant about the granola and dried cranberry additions... but they ended up adding nice texture and welcome flavor. Might not be for everyone. Sort of like drinking bubble tea with tapioca settling at the bottom. I opt for the soy version of this smoothie so it's pricey at $6+ for 12 oz.
- Soy yogurt - Really good and refreshing. Pinkberryesque tartness for the lactose intolerant among us.
The Bottom Line:
Great healthy option in lower FiDi. Try the bulgogi wrap if you're looking for a simple lunch item. I'd also recommend the soy yogurt and smoothies, but beware of the small smoothie sizes and high prices. -

Yorganic fro yo is a bad imitation of Pinkberry.
The yogurt itself is fine and the fruit toppings are fresh. However, the whole thing is way overpriced. The first topping is $1.00 and every additional topping is $0.50. I ordered a medium with 1 topping and it was over $5.
Not a value purchase at all, but if you are desperate for froyo in the financial district, I suppose this will have to do....
The food looked good though so I may have to return for that and re-evaluateComment from Bo K. of Yorganic 5/1/2011

I am eating a "Bliss Bowl" as I type. It's DIVINE. I got salty-sweet korean bbq beef, pickled cucumbers, spinach, marinated carrots, shiitake mushrooms, egg, and seasoned bean sprouts in a brown rice bowl smothered in their signature tofu bean-paste chili sauce.
It's really addictive, full of veggies, AND organic. soooooooooo yummy. it's the same stuff you find in Ktown but for a 3rd of the price (sans steaming fried egg).
I came here to snack and do some work (they have free WI-FI, which is really fast), but it's so good I had to yelp it immediately.
I come here to get my kick of korean and top it off with some soy fro-yo. They're the only place that I know of with soy fro-yo.
they really know how to please a korean chick. -

They started off with delicious, yummy Froyo! ... but now they have these fantastic Bliss Bowls (American -styled Bibimbop). I had the Spicy Bowl (chicken) which was so full of flavor and kick! Very tasty and filling! And the best part of it all was it's HEALTHY, cuz it was all organic! (and locally grown)
We also had a fruit bowl for dessert and the fruit was so sweet and fresh! Totally yummy in my tummy! =)
I wish I was downtown more, so I could swing by but I heard they were opening a new location in Tribeca! -

They have homemade limeade with mint - that alone deserves an additional star. Not to mention their homemade granola is something I can munch on for hours end. Defeats the purpose of healthy snacking...but I don't care.
If you want something super refreshing - limeade with mint will do the trick!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I've tried to like this place and have gone several times. The yogurt is tasy, but the staff isn't friendly. They got my order wrong the other day, and I was out more than $7. No offer to accomodate or adjust. The BlissBowls are pricy, given the portions. Another time, they accused a colleague of mine of stealing a cup of coffe, when he was just pouring himself a cup of half regular and half decaf. Weird place.

I have gone to Yorganic twice now and have been twice disappointed. I'm never going back there.
First - they screwed up my order and since I was taking it to go I didn't realize that I had gotten someone else's food until I was back in my office. I dont know who orders chicken soup for breakfast but that is what I ended up being stuck with at 10 am instead of what I had actually ordered.
When I called to say that I there was a mix up and I would like to get it remedied (I had a meeting and couldn't walk back - hence, why I took the food to go in the first place) I was essentially told that it was my fault for taking someone's order because they call out the food and nothing could be done about it. Obviously, I didn't hear the name of the item and I just took whatever the man authoritatively handed to me because he seemed to know my order (and it wasn't that busy). I realize that their was a miscommunication on both sides but that is just poor customer service to say - sorry your fault and we have to make the food again so we would be at a lost. I spent $13 on breakfast and got stuck with chicken soup. That's crap.
Second - the actual food is pretty awful. The rice bowls are not tasty at all and are rather bland.
Third - it is so expensive! I'm just going to go to one of the smoothie carts on the street and get the same smoothie for half the price.
Fourth - I was overcharged. I expressly asked if it would cost extra to add a topping to the oatmeal (that I never got because of the food mix up) and I was told no. When I got back to my office they had charged me an extra $2 for the topping. Granted - $2 is not a a lot of money but it was the principle that I specifically asked about such charges, was told no, and then they charged me anyway.
Fool me once - shame on you. Full me twice - shame on me. I'm never going back. -
Review from Julia N.

Based on straight-up taste and value alone, this is a 3-star joint, but I'm giving it 4 stars simply because it is the ONLY organic froyo place and it even has ORGANIC TOPPINGS. I can't eat conventional berries because the concentrated pesticides make me sick, and the fruit here is all organic, incredibly fresh and ripe, along with delicious tender mochi (organic!) and some cereal and nut toppings (such as strawberry flavoured puffed rice and macadamia nuts, again, 100% organic) that I've never seen anywhere else.
Prices are on the high side, and the servings are a tad skimpy with the 'hole' in the middle created by the swirl. Annoyingly, they also charge $1 for the green tea flavour, their only other flavour option. Toppings are at least pretty copious and combined, are a decent value, better than pinkberry or red mango in that regard, especially for organic which has a slimmer profit margin.
I DO also like that they - at least here in the FiDi location - have a juice bar, again, all organic. Now there are a ton of juice bars in the City, but surprisingly, not that many of them are all or even mostly organic - but Yorganic is organic to the core. They provide a wide variety of fruits, veggies, and 'boosters'. They also make smoothies if you want some fruit blended into your froyo. AND, they offer organic coffee and tea, several healthy cold bottled drinks, some amazing organic snacks, cookies and energy bars I've never seen elsewhere. I must respect the sheer variety of their offerings,
The fro yo itself though, health and ethics aside, is simply mediocre. It's on the icy side - the unpleasantly, heterogeneously icy side - rather flat in flavour, not particular creamy, and while tart, I'd like it tarter. At least it's not excessively sweet. The green tea flavour is good, but not strongly green-tea-y enough. The delicious toppings are a must here to supplement the lacking fro yo base.
Prices:
Original - 5 oz $2.95 - 8 oz 3.95 - 12 oz $5.95
Green Tea - same as above plus $1 extra per each size
Toppings - 1 $1.25 - 2 $1.75 - 3 $2.25
They DO take credit card, which is a nice bonus, service is friendly, and the space is neat, clean, and brightly modern as is the trend. I applaud the organic effort, but they need to improve on their core product before I'll return. -

---Writing an update on the same day as the initial review because I am thoroughly impressed by the management. The owner messaged me regarding my review with the quickness. I whole-heartedly appreciate well-run businesses (I have voiced this in past reviews) and believe any business' success/failure is a direct reflection of their management and staff. Yorganic is clearly well-maintained and operated by individuals who are proud of what they do and really care for their business. I've rounded my initial 3-star rating up to 5 stars. I DO WHAT I WANT. Yay for Yorganic!

I'm torn. This place is so smack-daddy in the middle of 5 stars that I don't know whether to round it up to 3 or down to 2. You be the judge:
Pros:
-super tasty, great consistency
-only place in fidi to get froyo
-they deliver
-they have pomegranate as a topping (this is a huge plus for me. I know how long it takes and how hard it is to get those little things outta the pomegranate fruit; I appreciate the hardwork.)
-their blueberries are super sweet
-their smoothies are pretty good
-their servings are huge
-they play 2pm songs (2pm is a korean boyband that I lurve.)
-they are a stone's throw away from my apartment (yet, I still get it delivered.)
Cons:
-they
-take
-forever
-to
-deliver
-and when you call to inquire as to why it's taking so long and if they are actually squeezing the milk out of a cow's udders to make the yogurt on the spot, they don't really apologize or offer to compensate you for your 40-minute wait. REALLY? 40 minutes for 2 small cups of frozen yogurt when you operate your business on the same STREET as my apartment?! major neg-sauce.
I've rounded 'em up to a 3. It's the doggone 2pm I tell ya.
Sidenote: I'd be a tad more understanding if you got lost or something but 1) you can see my building from your storefront 2) the froyo was nice and frozen meaning you hadn't left in a timely manner and there was nothing keeping my yogurt frozen either, i.e) dry ice? insulated icebox? Oh, but I guess I wouldn't have been understanding if you had gotten lost because that would mean that my fro-yo would've arrived as melted-yo and we can't have that, can we? But I'm sure you guys have anti-melting procedures whilst delivering this stuff to faraway places. -

Ok
This place has the perfect original fat free frozen yogurt. Tart, not melty, the taste makes you stop and savor. BUT I'm writing this review mostly on their topping. I got mango...which was organic...and complety fresh and ripe and flavorful! Not sitting in a fridge for hours or frozen. Wow. WOW!!!
Price was resonable too. The small (more like a regular) was 4.50$. Not bad.
however the salad there....well its organic...but there are not as many choices as other places, the size is smaller, and it's expensive (I got a froyo and a small salad with chicken and 3 veg choices for 19$? I get a larger salad with the same toppings and a soup and a large piece of bread at Hale & Hearty for 14$) It left me still hungry, and I don't eat a lot.
Just saying. -

I've been on a Frozen Yogurt kick lately and don't pass up on opportunity to grab my new favorite frozen snack. So I was pretty psyched to find Yorganic while on my way to the National Museum of the Native American. Price was a little steep, and when it came to my toppings they certainly didn't overdue it, but I've got to say I enjoyed the fro-yo itself. The is one of the few places where the fro-yo actually tastes "yogurty" so much so that I'm not sure it was to my taste.
Not a place I'd consider coming back to as a destination unto itself, but I can see myself stopping in if I'm in the area. Probably won't get toppings next time, they don't put enough on to make them worth the price.Listed in: Frogurt

It's the only place around Wall St for froyo. So I have to love.
Sweeter than red mango or pinkberry. But easy to finish. Great summer snack.
And -- they deliver!!!
Downside? Expensive. You are NOT Red Mango or Pinkberry so you don't have the right to charge that much.
Lower prices and I may visit more often. -

New York, NY
Like everyone else I was thrilled that a frozen yogurt place was opening in FiDi, and I think that it is really cool that they are totally organic. Tons of delicious toppings on par with Pinkberry - including mochi, tropical fruits, etc., as well as a variety of organic cereals and dry toppings. The green tea flavor here is MUCH better than Pinkberry's and they don't skimp on the toppings like many other places.
However, as others have noted it is really expensive, especially if you opt for a flavored yogurt instead of plain. Green tea yogurt is $3.95/small, $4.95/medium, $6.95/large plus $1.25 for a topping! Organic is expensive, but this seems over the top - even if they just cut the price of the toppings it would be more reasonable.
Other negatives are lack of air conditioning and the fact that they chop their mango into minuscule bits. If I am paying $1.25 for the mango topping I want healthy chunks.
This place will definitely get loads of business since it is basically the only yogurt option around and it IS tasty, so long as you can swallow the price and the sweltering heat. -
Review from Nicole B.
Westchester County, NY
Yogurt is great - perfectly tangy. All toppings are organic which is great. The parfait, smoothies and juice bar are delicious. They also have a wide variety of great snacks and other beverages great for stashing in your drawer/fridge for the midday munchies.
The only negative is that the service tends to be quite slow. The people taking orders occasionally disappear leaving the register unattended. This tends to not be a problem for me. If you only have time to grab something quickly, just check to see if there's a line before choosing this for your snack. -

Where to begin!!!!
First of all, I love love love love yolato, but sadly that seems to be disappearing in the city. Lenny's on John St. has yolato...well they have a sign for it, but when you go in, they tell you it is closed for the season. So where to go in the FiDi if you want TART frozen yogurt???
You go to yorganic!! The yogurt is tart and delicious and the toppings are awesome!! They have pomegranates!!! Do you have any idea how rare it is for these yogurt places to have pomegranates available as a topping?? Yes, they all have blueberries, and raspberries, and captain crunch, and chocolate chips, etc. etc. etc. But none of them have pomegranates!! Well, yorganic does. The best frozen yogurt has chocolate chips and pomegranates on it. Side note: How many more times can I use the word "pomegranate" in this review??
The cold sandwiches here taste like every cold sandwich that you get from a deli refrigerator. Let's be honest though. You're coming here for the yogurt. You can get it delivered, but there is seating inside as well, up the stairs in a cute little nook with Ikea style chairs/tables. -

Broad Channel, NY
I stumbled upon Yorganic walking back to the office one day after running an errand. I got a Frozen Yogurt with chocolate chips and now I am hooked... I have to admit I am more of an ice cream kind of person, but the tart flavor of the yogurt is quite refreshing on a hot day.
I wanted to try them out one day as a complete lunch spot, but I don't really get out of the office too often. Then I noticed that they are on seamless web, so I ordered lunch for delivery.
Delivery was quick and easy and the yogurt was still frozen. I ordered a Turkey & Brie Sandwich with a fresh juice drink and a frozen yogurt. I was all quite tasty. The only real downside is that it is a bit on the expensive side. I can only do that once and a while. They should have a yogurt card for every 7 yogurts get the 8th one free kinda deal...
Anyway, it is worth trying out.... Enjoy. -

Looove the Bliss Bowls. It's like when you head to a salad place for lunch, but your base is brown rice, white rice, noodles or even lettuce and then you pick a protein, 4 vegetables and a sauce. My go-to is the brown rice, spicy chicken, broccoli, asparagus, spinach and then I change it up between mushrooms or peanuts. The chicken and rice will be served warm, but keep in mind the vegetables are cold (I was a little surprised the first time I tried it). Usually I go with the spicy sauce, but be careful and don't dump the entire container on it as your mouth will be on fire. If you'd like to try a chef's creation, you can do that as well. By going with the chef's creation you do save a little bit of money (about 3 dollars). That's the one thing that kills me about the rice bowls - you'll be spending about $11 bucks for lunch if you go with brown rice, but on the other hand, I remain full for most of the day. A bowl starts out at $6.95, adding brown rice is $1 more, and then a little extra if you order a protein.
Note: not opened on Sundays. -

Not a bad place for lunch - had a brown rice bowl with fresh veggies. Very very spicy with some red thick sauce. It wasn't bad but needed additional drink afterwards. i really miss the "sweet" fro-yo that seems to have disappeared. the old school TCBY of the 90's. well, after having read that Yorganic fro-yo isn't as tart as their competitors in the mouth-puckering nouveau class of fro-yo establishments, i was excited to try it. maybe, just maybe it would be sweet enough for me?
NO.
but, it was good. they offer plenty of toppings, but nothing new or interesting. cereals, granola, chocolate chips, fresh fruits, etc.
Lunch - today i had a "bliss bowl," and made my own, with brown rice, asparagus, broccoli, tofu, mushrooms, and zucchini, topped with the pineapple ginger sauce. It was delicious!

while the flavor is way better than stinkberry, their form was way off. i got a small - cup looked about the same size as red mango's small, but when i dug in with my spoon, the twirl was like, hollow! know what i mean? it just like, rings of frozen yogurt but empty in the middle. and i got raspberry for a topping and they gave me 5 raspberries. FIVE. and the whole thing was $4.55. so that's kind of ridiculous. i echo olivia's comment as well - that it was really icy. maybe that will get better. but i just felt a little ripped off with my ring of frozen yogurt and my .25 a pop raspberry topping. sadly i'll probably go again b/c i'm addicted to this shit, but it was pretty disappointing. -

Meh~
Didn't feel like eating anything, so maybe this is biased considering I'm not feeling well. But come on, ON TOP OF the original yogurt, it's 1.25 for first topping and .50 for second... so the small veggie soup I got was mediocre, and the froyo itself is nothing special. I'll give two star for the variety for the toppings and the fact that they are organic.
I'd stick to the YoGo truck at Water and Wall instead of coming back here. 5 bucks for a small with 3 toppings at this wonderful pink truck! -

BOWLING GREEN, NY
I order from here almost everyday, whether for me or for someone else in my firm. They have a ton of toppings for the yogurt, low fat and different flavors. I haven't tried the regular food there yet but I will definitely give it a try! The reason I did not give 5 stars is simply because of the price. I think it is a little high...

The food and drinks are a little pricey but that is to be expected at a place that carries only organic foods. Some have written that the rice bowls are bland but it depends on what you put in them. Any bowl with their kimchi or hot sauce kicks it up a notch and is still healthy.
I really enjoy their juices and all the ingredients are fresh.
I do agree with some of the other Yelpers that they often make mistakes on orders or do not include sauce with your rice bowl but I always check my bag before leaving and they have no problem fixing their mistakes. They need to be better organized during busy times because the workers and management dont seem to know what the other is doing.
