It's the only place around Wall St for froyo. So I have to love.
Sweeter than red mango or pinkberry. But easy to finish. Great summer snack.
And -- they deliver!!!
Downside? Expensive. You are NOT Red Mango or Pinkberry so you don't have the right to charge that much.
Lower prices and I may visit more often.
People are real focused on the FroYo aspect of this place but given the proliferation of highly average fruit juice street carts, this place is a real stand-out. Juice mixes, FroYo mixes, fresh wheat grass are all far superior than similar alternatives around the city. My only knock is on the price but I think it's really worth what you pay since it's super fresh!
If a craving for fro-yo hits while in the financial district, this place will do. Too bad it doesn't have longer hours/cheaper prices.
The frozen YOGURT actually tastes yogurt-y which is a plus in my book.
The green tea flavor is the best while soy takes second (i say, might as well get some nutrients in with your dessert splurge) The toppings are good and there's plenty of wet/dry kinds to choose from but they definitely skimp (i've always added more when i got home)
The service is great and they always reminded to get a stamp on my frequent buyer card!
Not worth it. Expensive and the yogurt isn't that good. Plus, the medium size lids do not fit tightly on the cups, so they have to tape them down. For almost $6.00 for a medium cup (with 2 toppings), you'd think you could get a lid that fits.
You're better off with Mister Softee.
I've been on a Frozen Yogurt kick lately and don't pass up on opportunity to grab my new favorite frozen snack. So I was pretty psyched to find Yorganic while on my way to the National Museum of the Native American. Price was a little steep, and when it came to my toppings they certainly didn't overdue it, but I've got to say I enjoyed the fro-yo itself. The is one of the few places where the fro-yo actually tastes "yogurty" so much so that I'm not sure it was to my taste.
Not a place I'd consider coming back to as a destination unto itself, but I can see myself stopping in if I'm in the area. Probably won't get toppings next time, they don't put enough on to make them worth the price.
Based on straight-up taste and value alone, this is a 3-star joint, but I'm giving it 4 stars simply because it is the ONLY organic froyo place and it even has ORGANIC TOPPINGS. I can't eat conventional berries because the concentrated pesticides make me sick, and the fruit here is all organic, incredibly fresh and ripe, along with delicious tender mochi (organic!) and some cereal and nut toppings (such as strawberry flavoured puffed rice and macadamia nuts, again, 100% organic) that I've never seen anywhere else.
Prices are on the high side, and the servings are a tad skimpy with the 'hole' in the middle created by the swirl. Annoyingly, they also charge $1 for the green tea flavour, their only other flavour option. Toppings are at least pretty copious and combined, are a decent value, better than pinkberry or red mango in that regard, especially for organic which has a slimmer profit margin.
I DO also like that they - at least here in the FiDi location - have a juice bar, again, all organic. Now there are a ton of juice bars in the City, but surprisingly, not that many of them are all or even mostly organic - but Yorganic is organic to the core. They provide a wide variety of fruits, veggies, and 'boosters'. They also make smoothies if you want some fruit blended into your froyo. AND, they offer organic coffee and tea, several healthy cold bottled drinks, some amazing organic snacks, cookies and energy bars I've never seen elsewhere. I must respect the sheer variety of their offerings,
The fro yo itself though, health and ethics aside, is simply mediocre. It's on the icy side - the unpleasantly, heterogeneously icy side - rather flat in flavour, not particular creamy, and while tart, I'd like it tarter. At least it's not excessively sweet. The green tea flavour is good, but not strongly green-tea-y enough. The delicious toppings are a must here to supplement the lacking fro yo base.
Prices:
Original - 5 oz $2.95 - 8 oz 3.95 - 12 oz $5.95
Green Tea - same as above plus $1 extra per each size
Toppings - 1 $1.25 - 2 $1.75 - 3 $2.25
They DO take credit card, which is a nice bonus, service is friendly, and the space is neat, clean, and brightly modern as is the trend. I applaud the organic effort, but they need to improve on their core product before I'll return.
OK - I actually was wondering when they were going to open a fro-yo place down here, and then they do!
So I was excited because now I can wean myself off of gelato and go here, right? Well not exactly.
The actual yogurt product is pretty good, nice flavor and texture and (so far) they haven't skimped on the toppings and I got a full cup of the green tea, i.e. they didn't skimp on the yogurt.
However, they are friggin' expensive. I know that this is the Financial District, but not everyone working here is a day trader or some financial wizard. $10 for a large with 3 toppings?
I think if/when I do come back, I might be going for a small cup.
Like everyone else I was thrilled that a frozen yogurt place was opening in FiDi, and I think that it is really cool that they are totally organic. Tons of delicious toppings on par with Pinkberry - including mochi, tropical fruits, etc., as well as a variety of organic cereals and dry toppings. The green tea flavor here is MUCH better than Pinkberry's and they don't skimp on the toppings like many other places.
However, as others have noted it is really expensive, especially if you opt for a flavored yogurt instead of plain. Green tea yogurt is $3.95/small, $4.95/medium, $6.95/large plus $1.25 for a topping! Organic is expensive, but this seems over the top - even if they just cut the price of the toppings it would be more reasonable.
Other negatives are lack of air conditioning and the fact that they chop their mango into minuscule bits. If I am paying $1.25 for the mango topping I want healthy chunks.
This place will definitely get loads of business since it is basically the only yogurt option around and it IS tasty, so long as you can swallow the price and the sweltering heat.
I've finaly crossed to the dark side and am now on board with the fro-yo craze. I got a small green tea fro yo while on a lunchtime stroll. I did not sample their original flavor but the green tea tasted yogurty with a green tea aftertaste. Overall it tastes refreshing but not as creamy as I would have liked. The portion itself was pretty generous for a small. The toppings looked tempting, especialy the puffed brown rice, but at a total of $4.28 I was at my snack budget limit. I do appreciate that it's organic but this will be a rare treat.
My favorite fro-yo place in the city! (Ok, i might be biased by living and working in the financial district where options are few and far between, but still...I know this is one of the places I am going to miss when I leave). It's worth the price--i get a small original with two toppings for $5.09 but for that price I get two different types of fresh fruit (they have tons of other toppings too like chopped nuts and cereals and chocolate chips--but I go for the fruit) and plenty of yogurt.
I like the tangy flavor of the yogurt, I like the freshness of the toppings, and I like the friendliness of the staff. I wish they were open on Sundays though. :(
I have had 2-3 times and would rate 2 stars at this point. If nothing else is open, it's not bad considering they deliver. Also, the low calorie option is terrific.
no. no no no. i was so excited about this place opening up - finally i can get my yogurt fix near work! so i wandered over yesterday, on day 1 of their existence at 4 hanover square. space stlll looks like they're settling in. they offer a ton of toppings, but i went with my usual - original with rasbperry.
while the flavor is way better than stinkberry, their form was way off. i got a small - cup looked about the same size as red mango's small, but when i dug in with my spoon, the twirl was like, hollow! know what i mean? it just like, rings of frozen yogurt but empty in the middle. and i got raspberry for a topping and they gave me 5 raspberries. FIVE. and the whole thing was $4.55. so that's kind of ridiculous. i echo olivia's comment as well - that it was really icy. maybe that will get better. but i just felt a little ripped off with my ring of frozen yogurt and my .25 a pop raspberry topping. sadly i'll probably go again b/c i'm addicted to this shit, but it was pretty disappointing.
Decent yogurt, the shakes are ok very bland. A little pricey but more annoying is how stingy they are with the toppings. I think they gave me three raspberries on a medium yogurt which seems a bit silly. Since I live down here I like to buy it plain and add the berries when I get home. Service is usually pretty friendly and I've never encountered a line.
This Pinkberry/Red Mango knockoff does a pretty good job. It's actually nearly indistinguishable from the two. It's not cheap, but they don't mess around on the portions and toppings, and they're very fresh. Rice cakes are great.
I've since tried Yorganic. The plain flavor is as good as or better than Pinkberry or Red Mango. I don't like the green tea as much because it's a heavy green tea flavor unlike the more bland Red Mango and Pinkberry versions -- though that's good if you like green tea.
Regarding the service, the manager (owner?) is a very friendly guy who knows how to treat a customer. Unfortunately, his colleagues strike me as entry-level. I mentioned the guy who filled the strawberry bin with his hands. I've also seen the staff eating behind the counter. Hey, glad you like the product, but shouldn't you wait until your lunch break to eat and do so out of sight?
With luck, the staff will get up to speed since the manager can't be expected to work the counter indefinitely. I'm withholding one star until the staff attains the professionalism of the manager.

Man, FiDi gets no respect. I just slammed Flurt in BPC yesterday. Today, I thought I'd check out… Read more »
3 star yogurt on an absolute basis, but the extra star comes from the nearest other fro yo place being miles away, literally. Or at least a few stops on the subway. Granted, Hanover Cafe / Deli down the block has a Yolato machine but it doesn't come out as creamy as Yolato in the standalone shops. The yogurt is decent, nice and tart, though a little icy today (pre-opening happening today, grand opening tomorrow so maybe this will be worked out with other opening day type kinks). Toppings were good. The typical gamut of fruit (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, mangoes, raspberries, pineapple, kiwi, and some other mango-looking yellow fruit) and chips (choco, butterscotch or maybe peanut butter), cereal and cookie toppings, and mochi! There is also a nice fresh juicebar, another thing sorely lacking in this neighborhood. I saw carrots, beets and possibly wheatgrass? Probably some other stuff too, maybe in the refrigerated area. Seating area in the back. Looks cute, clean and bright, and the staff seemed nice. A good FiDi alternative to the many ice cream choices.
