The Yoga Loft Marblehead is wonderful and welcoming home for many in Marblehead Ma and surrounding communities. The knowledgeable, very experienced yet caring instructors and staff make every effort to allow any yoga practice at The Loft unlike most other studios. This dedication is the essential ingredient. It is a clean, loving and professionally run studio in the heart of a charming New England coastal town.

I have been going to The Yoga Loft for close to 20 years, and for the past few years, I've practiced there daily. I've taken classes with every teacher and each one is unique in their approach, there's truly something for everyone. One thing I love is that instructors always provide guidance and options to support all levels. Whether it's your first class or your 1,000th you'll find a friendly and welcoming environment and as much of a challenge as you want.

I can't say enough great things about the Yoga Loft in Marblehead. I feel so lucky to have found such a warm and welcoming yoga community. During the summer months, rotating members of the Yoga Loft community took turns hosting yoga in their back yards (which provided serene backdrops/picturesque views of our town). But even during the winter months, I felt extremely safe in their studio due to their very robust Covid safety protocols. Fairly certain I wouldn't have made it through this last year without the Yoga Loft!

I did a prenatal class there (I am not a yogi by any means) and they were so welcoming and helpful. I really enjoyed the class. The studio is very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend the yoga loft!

I am from out of town and dropped in here this morning. It was great class and they have a warm and welcoming staff. It was a great way to start my day. I attended the Essentials class and Maida made it wonderful, peppering in humor and education along the way.

I had to update my review because I went back to the restorative class last night. I had mentioned in my last review that the teacher I had last time, Larissa, was a substitute. Last night, the regular teacher, Danielle was back and WOW! one of the most relaxing things I have ever experienced in my life.
It was 90 minutes of awesomeness. The poses were calming, nothing to crazy and Danielle kept emphasizing for us to do the pose how it was comfortable for us. She came around and massaged us with lavender oil. We got cool eye packs during Savasana. I have never felt so great at the end of 90 minutes.
The class was much more crowded - I recommend getting their earlier. As a follow-up to my first appointment I received a card in the mail giving me a free class so that is the main reason I went back...boy and I'm glad I did!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 22, 2011Previous reviewThis place is for serious yogis. I had been looking for a restorative yoga class after taking one at another studio a bit too far from my house. I found the Yoga Loft online and thought I would give it a try.
The atmosphere is AMAZING. I like how the main entry way is separated from the yoga studio (hence the name "yoga loft"). The actual studio (upstairs) is very nice and calming. The room temperature is a perfect 82 degrees. Now the previous restorative class I had taken was more about breathing and stretching..in this class I was doing fine until the instructor told us to get into our headstands...um....what? I gave it the old college try but it just wasn't happening. The rest of the class was DEEP and INTENSE stretching and breathing. Doing it I was like, this is not relaxing...but when I got in the car I did feel quite refreshed although I have a feeling I'll be hurting tomorrow.
The teacher I had was a substitute and wasn't great at showing the modifications for beginners. She just said, "if this is too much for you feel free to modify," but then she didn't show us how to do so.
Now that I've been home for about an hour - I can honestly say I feel great. It was really awesome and it felt great to focus on something not work or life related for 90 minutes...I was too busy trying to get my toes to touch my third eye..LOL!!! I will be back for sure! - Sheera G.San Francisco, CA228119625Nov 30, 2014
This lovely, heated yoga studio is a breath of fresh air in the suburbs. I've been several times and usually come for a class or two whenever I'm in town visiting family. Maybe I've been in London too long because everyone is soo friendly, from the instructors to the front desk staff.
The classes are serious, but there's not much ego. I'm partial to Vito's vinyasa class; Jaishree's was a nice flow as well. I could do with a few more adjustment, especially when the class is small...
Bit pricey at $15 for a walk in class and $3 for a mat rental but I always enjoy coming here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rachel D.New York, NY25106Jul 18, 2010First to Review
A great studio for serious yogis... the best in the area! The classes are more advanced, but the instructors won't leave beginners out in the cold-- offering props and modifications to increase strength and flexibility.
The only downside: the heated studio packs in students so your neighbors are only inches apart. There are several support columns that can block out the view of anyone caught behind one.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa E.Venice, CA245132Jul 1, 2016
This was my first stay in Marblehead and I was so lucky to find Yoga Loft for a mindful, challenging practice. I took Jaishree's Vinyasa class loved the spirit of this class, got a great workout and really appreciated her sense of humor. There were great oms and many smiles. I left feeling open and refreshed. What topped it off was the handwritten thank you note I received back home in Santa Monica, California from Yoga Loft owners Randy and Laurel. So sweet. I will definitely be returning to Marblehead and Yoga Loft in the near future.
