Hands down, the best cocktail ever at any Yelp event! I loved seeing my Yelp friends and meeting new folks, and I will definitely have to make dinner plans for Woodfire Grill. That sweet potato gnocchi was fabulous.
Loved the photo booth, too! I still have my gold tooth and it's making me feel totally badass. Thanks to Deanna J. and Woodfire for hosting such a great event!

This was by far my favorite Yelp Elite event (not that I have been to that many)!
I was annoyed at first because it was only valet parking. I hate valet with a passion and I refuse to do it. Luckily it was after hours for most nearby businesses and I was able to park next door.
Other than that, it was fantastic. The weather was great to be outside on the patio. They were making some very interesting drinks that were quite potent, much more so than some previous events (yes Table 1280 I am looking in your direction!). After two drinks I was feeling pretty good! The food samples were great, I loved the crab.
The whole staff was great, empty cups and spoons were picked up very quickly and the bartenders were doing a great job all night even staying late to give us some wine at the end!
As it got later, the patio became very very dark because they only used candle light which was creepy but kind of cool. I probably missed some people just because I could not see more than my table towards the end. I like it dark though, so I was happy.
Overall a great experience and I got to meet some people I have only seen pictures of which is cool, and useful. A few of my favorites were noticeably absent though *ahem* ;)

Wow, what an amazing event last night! I always have a great time at Yelp events and this one was especially nice.
Woodfire was a fantastic host and served up delicious delights and one of the best yelp drinks of all time...the Blackberry Bramble! The service was very attentive and the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to.
Thanks to Max and Frank's Seven Deadly Sins Photo Booth! I think I got in at least 6 of the 7 sins in...I couldn't remember since I had fun using every prop available, including Lauren touching me in places where lets just say...what happens at yelp parties, stays at yelp parties! :P Plus, I got to show the guns!
Beautiful people, fabulous event, amazing food and drinks...what more could you ask for!? Thanks Deanna and everyone else behind the scenes for a wonderful elite event! One of the many reasons why I'm proud to say I am a Yelper!

By far, my favorite event....both elite and non-elite. The atmosphere was just perfect. They had us on the back patio and *now* is the time of year when you can have patio parties. The weather was not too hot but they did have a big portable A/C unit out there to keep things cool. Props Woodfire - you had me sold from that point because you were obviously prepared. Sweaty Yelpers = Cranky Yelpers = Bad Reviews.
The wood fire smell is one of my all time favorite smells. It reminds me of fall, football, and pumpkins. Nostalgia. It automatically put me in a good mood and as soon as I had one of the blackberry brambles served up by the sexy bartender......let's just say it was all uphill from there.
The staff was perfection - instead of seeming annoyed that they had to take care of our party like some places have in the past - they seemed happy to have us, getting in on the fun with the Yelp stickers & buttons, explaining each tasty morsel they were passing around to tables and being overall friendly.
I spoke to Nick and told him how much I enjoyed the party and appreciated the effort his team made - and told him that I intend to come back for a real meal, and I do.
Props to Deanna + Miriam + Woodfire and their awesome staff + the hot bartender + Max & Frank's cool photo booth idea. Fun, fun night had by all in attendance!

I'll keep this one short because everyone else has said pretty much everything that I was thinking.
Drinks were awesome. The crowd was large. The space was perfect. Another great party, Deanna J.
It was good to see some friends like Deanna S. (who hasn't been to many of our recent events). It was also good to meet some of our new Yelp Elite like Lee Y. (I confessed to Lauren S. that I didn't even recognize half of the people there, so I'm sorry if I didn't get a chance to say hello).
Of course, I really enjoyed taking pictures (thanks to MiRIAM w. for always being the perfect paparazzi partner)! The photo booth was fun and the walking photographer took some great pics of me and Matthew.
Afterward Matthew and I had dinner with Joel C., Lauren S., Chris, and Brandon. Good times were had by all.
WOO HOO!

Thanks, Deanna, for a great Elite event! Definite winner for strongest and most delicious Yelp cocktail.
In the words of my friend "I really like the HOT bartender, and if it were a Friday night, I would love that he poured half a bottle of gin into my drink, but since I have to work in the 7th circle of hell, I should tip him to make the drink weaker and avoid the hangover..."
The gold teeth at the photobooth were great on Joel C and Rachel M, who both had the decency to take them after using - even if your mouth is clean and sanitized from the gin in the blackberry bramble, no one needs to share gold teeth.
As for Woodfire itself - from the moment you walk in the door, you smell the wood fire. While this may seem obvious, it was still impressively inviting, since there's nothing like the smell of a great wood fire to make you feel like fall and put you in the mood for some grilled meat. We got a little taste of that (literally) with the Vietnamese style beef culotte (with mint and julienned carrot and chili sauce) which definitely impressed me enough to come back. My favorite was the sweet pepper filled with grits and encased in cornmeal, but the smoked trout with caviar was also delicious.
The staff was very attentive. When I've moved to wine and was slowing down so that I could drive home, I was asked by every single one of the staff in the back if they could refill my glass. I almost gave in, but then heard the quote above...
I'll be headed back for the wine tastings - I used to go every two weeks back when Nick and Bernard were at Loca Luna on 6th street, so I can testify that they'll do interesting wines in a very relaxed atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the event here. I just loved being outside on the patio and taking in that campfire smell. Woodfire was fantastic host and I can't wait to come back and try it. The appetizers were great and the waitstaff was wonderful at working the room.
I won I won I won! Now where is my caipirinha?
Thanks Yelp Atlanta for inviting me back to the good ol Woodfire Grill, one of my faves, but a place I hadn't gone to since Michael Touhy had left. The hors d'oeuvres being passed around were tasty, and though I opted for drinks off the menu, I enjoyed those as well.
Great to meet some new people and talk to some old... Now who's with me to invade The Local?

Best event so far this year for me.
Good drinks, good food, nice location. Ok ok, so like Adam said, the valet ... the valet... but there was parking around the area, so it worked out for everyone.
The woodfire smell was definitely the first thing I noticed when walking in, which was pretty cool. Made a nice impression on me. Alright now that I've echoed what others have already said....
Drinks... drinks... I actually enjoyed the drinks served up at this event. And it was unlimited, no tickets or any of that mess. I was impressed. And I kept it civil at 2. But they were good enough to have more.
The food was equally tasty, but I would have liked to seen more of those potato gnocchi's. But I had a few trout and some of those peppers, so all was well. It seemed there were plenty of meat options floating around though. I liked how the staff kept the food moving around to the tables so that everyone was able to easily get some. Staff was great overall, btw.
As for general impressions of the place, this was my first time to Woodfire Grill, and given my experience, I plan on going back to try it out for real. I liked the setting and the food seemed promising.
Deanna and co. put on a kick ass event as usual, can't deny that part. So thank you Deanna, Miriam, Woodfire and all you other people who made this event happen.
See, it must be good if I have no sh*t to talk. Good places = boring reviews, that's the only downside.

WOODFIRE GRILLLLLLL a place to visit, indefinitely. It was a pleasure to attend the Yelp Elite event there, with all of the wonderful Yelpers.
I'm BIG on customer service and this place gets 5 stars from me! ! !
EVERYONE was so kind and made it their duty to ensure that my visit was pleasant.
The cocktails OMFG... GREAT~ there is nothing else to be said. It's as if Woodfire Grill have their special bartenders that you can't find anyplace else, that posses magic blending skills to create an enticing, mouth savoring, intoxicating drink. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The restaurant is beautiful and they really do use a Wood fire grill ;) They also offer free valet parking which is an added extra PLUS.
If you haven't been yet, make it one to visit while in Buckhead before you visit the booty clubs LOL ;)

What a terrific Yelp event!!
My "Twin"...Gin... and Seven deadly sins it made for a memorable night!
The Vietnamese steak was soooo delicious I could have stuffed my face with 20 of those little spoons!!! The screened in patio outside accompanied by the food burning fire was a nice touch, although as the night went on...and the blackberry brambles started to get consumed I could barely make out any faces. Hmmm... Don't know if it was the drinks,or the darkness or a combination of the two!
The waitstaff were more then gracious!!! And yes I'm sure it helped that several of the waiters were umm.. "hot" as mentioned by previous reviewers..lol... I can't wait to come back and check out their cafe area for a bite!
Great event Deanna...Miriam...and Tara!!!!

YAY!!! WOO!!! HOO-HAW!!!
Such a good Yelp-y night.
I think everyone had a great time. The special blackberry cocktail (recipe to be shared- maybe? hopefully?? Deanna???) was absolutely delicious. The apps were so yummy (I especially liked the smoked trout pastry thingys and the sweet pepper-with-grit-sticks) and the service was absolutely impeccable and gracious. It really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, and the night was lovely temp-wise and turn-out-wise! I even got my hoodie this time!
I am thrilled to go back to have a "full" dinner under Woodfire's new ownership, and know it'll get a good review from this yelp-er.

I'm completely late writing this review but I guess better late than never?
I had a great time meeting the Yelpers and putting real faces to profiles and reviews. It's a great group of people.
The event itself was perfect. I do know the owners and one is a good friend of mine, so I may be biased but based on the other reviews, I think they and the organizers (Deanna J. -- thanks!!!) deserve 5 stars.
I tasted most of the food. My favorite was the Vietnamese steak -- it was heaven served on a spoon. I also loved their take on a popper (and no, not the kind you could buy at Backstreet). The pate was really good too. The menu changes almost daily so I'm not sure if I'll ever get to taste these items again. I'm so glad I was able to be at this event.
Thanks everyone -- I can't wait to see you all again soon. This was my first Yelp event so I hope the next one lives up the standards set by Woodfire.

This events was the tops! The specialty drink was fantastic - not dumbed down or weak but delicious and strong! And I loved having waitstaff come to me with the drinks instead of waiting in a long line at the bar. (Don't worry - We tipped the bartender generously!)
The food was absolutely amazing! This was the first time I've been back to Woodfire since Michael Touhy's departure and I was happy to find the the food is still first rate.
I loved the photographers, too! They gave me the opportunity to imagine myself as a famous socialite whose picture is constantly requested. And the photo booth was a great addition, as well.
I'm looking forward to the next event!

There is not one bad thing I can say about the Yelp event! I have been waiting to write my 100th review on something really good and last night's event deserves it in my book!
The first two things I noticed about the place were the wood-burning smell (very nice) and the extremely attentive but non-intrusive staff. It's few and far between that you receive truly great service at a restaurant but every single staff member did it right last night! I never had a dirty appetizer spoon in my hand for more than 30 seconds.
As for the food, my favorites were the Vietnamese beef with mint (I swear I probably ate 20 of those!), and the Sweet Potato Gnocci (although I only saw those go around once, sad!)
The Blackberry Brumble drinks, as everyone else seems to agree, were strong, not-too-sweet, and went down like Kool-Aid. Yeah I'm definitely going to make those at home...I've never been a big Gin fan but that drink changed me of my ways!
The seven deadly sins photography was fun--Alexa G. and I did "Envy" because we showed up in the exact same dress! Fun times Alexa G.
Thanks Deanna for a great party, I'm so glad my first Yelp event seems to be everyone else's favorite thus far!
Woodfire Grill--I will be back!

Mmm...this place smells incredible. The woodfire and excellent food and drinks were a perfect combination. Everyone has already summed up how great the event was. I too enjoyed it.
The best dishes were the Vietnamese flavored steak and the sweet potatos. Yummy!
I will definitely be back.

What a fabulous night!
I walked into this place and the smell of the woodfire grill was wonderfully inviting. The event was in the back of the restaurant on the patio and the weather was great. I arrived late and mssed all the hors de vours but people seemed to be happy with them. I did, however, make it in time to grab a couple of drinks! I don't know what the drinks were called but it was some blackberry/gin concoction that was oh-so-very-good! And let me tell you - they were not weak!
I forgot to do the photo booth thing :( But, I do love the hoodie!

So I came too late for the food, the drinks, or the pictures, but I still managed to have a great time catching up with old friends and running my mouth. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood, and I am intrigued enough by Woodfire to try it out for a proper dinner. The owner(s) of Woodfire were friendly, and are genuinely enthusiastic about making their restaurant the best it canbe.
Thanks again DJ!

We had a great time at the Elite Event that was held at Woodfire. The appetizers were killer (the Vietnamese steak... OMFG!) and the servers were friendly and very accommodating. And the smell of an actual fire burning... intoxicating!
I'll definitely be heading back to Woodfire Grill for a nice dinner... and very, very soon!
Love it!

This was my third Elite Party for, yes, I am indeed "elite." For lunch, I line my Kobe beef meatloaf with the finest gold leaf before I eat only a forkful and then throw the rest out in full view of Atlanta's homeless. I warm my palatial abode with the body heat of children illegally imported from Southeast Asia. I am awakened each morning, not by something as common as an alarm clock, but by the rising crescendo of Ravel's Bolero played live by the London Symphony Orchestra. This is the life all the Yelp Elite live. Perhaps one day, I shall descend from my mountain top and deign to join the Yelp Plebeians, allowing you all to touch my Yelp hoodie, made as it is from the finest silks and fabrics and the fur of the once extinct woolly mammoth, brought to life through a series of complex genetic manipulation for the sole purpose of being killed once again so we can harvest their lovely pelts, for panda fur is just too coarse.
We Yelp Elite sniff derisively at the Freemasons. The Illuminati repeatedly ask for our patronage. We cannot be bothered for we are...the Yelp Elite.
But in a rare moment of generosity, I shall provide a window in our Elite lifestyle to give hope that one day, another lucky soul will be selected from one of Yelp's unwashed masses, the hand of God reaching out to the blessed and a moment depicted in Michaelangelo's "Creation of Adam," as well as every time I choose to Superpoke someone on Facebook, is replayed anew. So to you, you of the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to be Elite, I give this review unto you.
Last night was da BOMB, yo. Woodfire Grill, its wait staff, bartenders and kitchen all did their place proud. The unmistakable autumn scent of eponymous burning wood filled the air. The drinks flowed freely and surpassed even Table 1280's. Keep in mind, I say this as someone who normally detests gin. As I recently explained to a friend who asked about this, "Gin tastes like a Christmas tree crapped in my mouth." However, the blackberry flavoring made the free booze (as well as the entire "free" aspect) much more palatable.
The food held up its end of the bargain--trout puffs, foie gras, pate, the cornmeal fried sweet pepper. My only complaint of the night was that I never had a chance to try the Vietnamese mint beef. Unfortunately I wasn't able to mingle as much as events past because the food was so good, we sat down to dinner. (For which, expect another review at some point.)
Five stars to Deanna, MiRIAM, the Woodfire Grill and to the rest of the Yelpers. Thanks for all being there and thanks for being on Yelp.
Douchebags need not apply.

It is, by far, the best yelp elite event ever - even better than the ones in San Francisco! Yeah, Deanna! I got to catch up with some old friends and meet new ones. Drinks and food were awesome. Every single person on the staff was friendly. I would definitely come here again - even to support such a cool place. I also loved the photo booth, even though I may not have been creative enough to think of any good poses.

My plus one and I arrived a little early to stake out a spot close to the bar. They hadn't gotten the food together so tried the Blackberry ballbuster.
I loathe gin. However this tasty libation changed my tune on that. Those cocktails we UBBERyummy. So much in fact that I had 4 of em'. I think I was hammered.
The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Though I am sure that had nothing to do with owners hanging around.
It took a little while for the food to circulate ,so that devilish tasty ,free booze had definitely taken effect.
The tiny morsels that finally arrived were very tasty.
The spoon o' steak was really good. And I'm sure is even better warm.
The grit stuffed peppers were on point, I think I ate 12.
The foie gras on raisin toast was a creamy sweet surprise.
The Gnocchi was yummy , my +1 raved.
The pate was bland and tasteless. The bread underneath was oily and way too salty.
But those damn blackberry booze cups made it all better.
The front room looks like it doesn't belong to the same resto. But the smell of the wood oven is intoxicating. damn that makes me hungry.
The patio was nice until sunset. Then I felt like the candles they put out conjured a seance kind of mood. "light as a feather, drunk as a monkey".
The deck needs more light, fo sho.
My table mates and I agreed we needed some real grub, so we split for a close-by all night diner.
But I must say it was a pleasure to meet everyone that I spoke with. Ms.D throws a helluva party.
I would like to thank my fellow eliters for showing up looking so damn hot and sexy. We are a good looking bunch.

Don't worry Nicole, I'm later than you! Best event yet! I liked the food at Food Studio a bit more (more veggie stuff!), but the drinks were FABULOUS and unlimited. Umm blackberry and gin? The bartender totally won me over and next time I'm not broke I'm totally going back. Especially since they do have plenty of veggie foodstuffs on their regular menu. Also: good to see all of y'all again!

One of the very best Yelp Elite Events and easily the best YEE cocktail EVER! Thanks DJ, you've outdone yourself. And of course, the folks at Woodfire Grill certainly deserve a shout out. They were the friendliest, most welcoming and most attentive hosts yet. Hooray Woodfire!

went for the yelp elite event and the food was *very very good*, and the new owners definitely aim to please. I'm still craving the blackberry cocktail they created for the event. We had thought about eating there after the event but as David K. mentioned the prices are quite high and we ultimately decided on a less expensive option.
