Yayas Eurocafe
2 reviews for Yayas Eurocafe
As my friends know I normally stay within the midtown-downtown area.
But last night I had some relatives in town that wanted to go out East, for a big family meal. They suggested Yayas. 'Where, I said?' 'Saddle Creek.' Oi vey! I'm mean, I'm downtown at friends pool party (and having a good time) in harbor town. We make plans to meet at seven. At 6:30PM, someone tells me the time. Crap!
I throw my little car into warp-overdrive head east-by-northeast, at 7:10PM, I'm in the parking lot.
I walk in and am immediately greeted by two very young, very perky female hosts. This will be the hallmark of service for the evening.
Water glass half full? 'May I fill it?' 'Done with your drink?' 'May I bring you another?' 'Cracked pepper?, parmessan cheese?'
Okay, the food: calamari for an appetizer, then I had the special:14oz. center cut steak, with potatoes and beans, a cesar salad.
The steak was excellent! Tender, cooked to my specs (med. rare), the veggies were fresh and not boiled to death.
Then, they bring over the dersert tray...bread pudding, mini-sorbet (mango, lemon & orange), dark chocolate brownie in phylo dough a la mode.
I had the bread pudding, my cousin had the chocolate brownie, everone else had sorbets. The bread pudding was good (Cayenne Moon's is a little better) and the chocolate brownie was excellent!
Just another friggne chain restaurant !..this one is out of Kansas City !
No good smelley fish, overpriced bs bistro...with fairly nice bar area that gets populated with wannabe 40-something posers on a Wed night...
The food sux...just pass, but ht elocation is good
