Yard House, you've officially become my favorite establishment in Waikiki. (Except for the fact...that I can't figure out if you have parking or not...) The first time I came here was for Halloween in 2011. It was just for a drink, and to get away from all the drama occurring outside on the streets of Waikiki. It was packed, but the bartenders got our drinks quickly. Did I mention I was just staring at how many beers they have on tap here? It's like frickn amazing! Plus they have those huge glasses (I'm not sure what they're called) that I was staring at because I wanted to see if I could finish one of those (which I don't think I can...but...) but I'll try it one day.
I returned here again after a friend chose it for a night out. There were six of us, and we were hungry. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was pretty okay. The fries were sliced thinner than you can find it at most places, so I kind of enjoyed that. My friend ordered the lobster dip to share and that was good. The boyfriend enjoyed the tacos so much he ordered four different ones. He says he wants to come back to enjoy the rest of them. Drink wise, I ordered the specialty drinks-the pineapple express. It was pretty sweet. Just tasted like pineapple juice...not the greatest drink to get drunk off of, but then the shot I took later made up for it.
The service here was good. The servers kept coming back to check up on us because he knew we were going to keep ordering. YAY.
I will be making my way back here soon, so that I can try that huge glass of beer...plus that happy hour of theirs...I hear it's pretty awesome.

the best macaroni and cheese, hands down.  I always wondered why this particular Yard House location had better macaroni and cheese than the locations in Long Beach, CA and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.. and its because I was told that this Yard House has to compete with the macaroni salad that many locals like to eat.

It all made sense.  Its probably laden with lard and tons with mayonnaise, but its SO GOOD. I wouldn't even care if it was sprinkled with crack and cocaine... its so delicious.

4 stars to the waiter who I am pretty sure knew that we stole a table in the bar section on New Years Even because we didn't want to wait two hours....but who didn't ask us to leave because he knew we were so intoxicated that we would prob. spend a grand.....and we DID. ooopsies......

P.S.- Dear Yard House, Please do not blame me for said stealing of booth. I took my drunk body to the potty and when I came back the deed was done. I actually didn't really know they stole it until I sobered up and our buzz thing went off just as we were leaving.....so...thanks for the memories!

Love this place. Very high-tech and great atmosphere. Big Tables... for Big Beer. If you're bringing tourists like I was, order up a 1/2 yard of some local brews and order the $6 poke appetizer. The poke portion is small, but beautiful and well-flavored.

Happy hour here is awesome!  They have the best beer selection I've seen in a restaurant.  I am a huge fan of Rogue beers which they have on tap.  The happy hour food prices are pretty good as well.  The nachos are huge and they are cheap!  They have a late night happy hour... 10-30p-closing... it's awesome!  Oh, btw, sake bombs are super cheap... and that's not even the happy hour price... try it, you might like it.  Stop by after dinner somewhere to have a few beers.  This place is also good for big groups... they have super long booths that can hold about 10 people... it may be a little tight, but it'll definitely fit 8!

    Lunch until 4:00 PM!

Circumstance and a vacation pace brought us to hunger in the middle of the afternoon. The Yardhouse was ready to accommodate us.  Fortunately, the lunch service was still on, and the portions were perfect for us.

My Lady ordered the turkey Cobb salad, with a glass of Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc from Marlboro.  I had a 1/2 blue crabcake hoagie and 1/2 clam chowder, with a pint of Hawaii Nui Golden Ale.  Much chowing down ensued.

Oh, suddenly the place was LOUD, as we were reminded it was time for Monday night football (at 3:30 pm Hawaii time), Saints vs. the Eagles, and who was that guy who did a forward flip over his opponent, landing feet first inside the goal zone, ball in hand?

    Fun times.

The manager was very rude and unprofessional. Didn't even know Puerto Rico was a state and rejected our ID's. He could of asked for passports but was such a jerk and we left. Very dissatisfied and disappointed the way we were treated. All of us were in our 30's. Not little kids!

Since I have been coming here nearly every weekend since I first moved to Hawaii in June 2008, I feel like I owe this place a review, as this is my clutch go-to place on the weekends.

Love the large beer selection, generally fast service. Only negative is if you actually want to sit at a table. (but I rarely do- I mainly sit at the bar.)  It's a long wait if you want a table at night- even during the week.  Expect to wait nearly an hour especially if you come with a lot of people.  This place can get pretty crowded.  Also, the food is good, but not great.  If you're ok with "bar food" then this is the place for you, but don't come here expecting anything fancy.

I love the music, the videos they play (exteme sports or games) , and I just love the laid back atmosphere.

Convenient valet parking as well at the Embassy suites- $6.00 dollars with validation for 4 hours.  Not the place to park obviously if it's going to be a long night, but good for those nights you just want to grab a few drinks a bite to eat.  Free parking with validation during lunch time on weekends!!!

This is my favorite place in Waikiki and I always recommend it to my friends visiting.  Check it out!!

I'm usually not a big fan of chain restaurants, but the Yard House is an exception.  With its massive amounts of beer on tap and its relatively yummy food offerings it has won a place in my heart.  I especially appreciate the fact that they don't skimp on the serving size during happy hour (note, HH here is 2:30 PM-5:30 PM and also 10:30 PM-close...I think M-Th, not sure about Friday night HH).  In fact, it was the Yard House in California where I discovered Paulner Hef (my favorite Hef so far).

I'd only visited the Waikiki Yard House once for late night drinks prior to last night.  While on our way over, I called ahead at around 5:30 PM and the hostess said that there was currently no wait but they'd jot me down for priority seating in case there was a wait when we got there.  We got there at about 6:45 PM and waited 30 minutes to be sat!

Well, the Yard House is a loud place and this one in particular seems awfully busy.  The host said that it is like this every night-which I can believe given its location.  There were four adults, one baby, and one super inexperienced waitress (working her first day).  Such is the luck I often run into when I'm hungry :/

Truthfully, I think our waitress was not ready to be unleashed to hungry customers yet.  She was an absolute failure at helping us find new beers to try.  Luckily, her trainer stepped in.  She forgot to check everyone's ID and she also forgot to ask my bf how he wanted his steak cooked (both of which the trainer whispered into her ear).

When the food was brought out, my heart fluttered.  I had been ready to dig into my chicken pot pie since 5 PM.  Although it looked impressive (the crust is baked onto the entire plate)-it was only passing because I was hungry.  There wasn't much broth, the chicken pieces were very dry, and the carrot pieces were a bit too large for my liking.  My bf's steak sandwich was okay and our friends (who were first timers at the Yard House) seemed to enjoy their pupus (garlic noodles, wings, calamari).  Our beers were good.  Our server came by once to check on us and then disappeared for a very long time.  We spent a good 10 minutes trying to flag someone down for a refill on an iced tea.

I'm left a bit speechless because I'm not sure if I'd venture back here any time soon.  While it was a psuedo reminder of home-I know for certain that we could've spent $100 elsewhere and had bomb food at a local hole-in-the-wall.

And honestly, what the heck is up with the parking?  I know it is Waikiki but still...I think it is really messed up that even with a validated parking ticket-you are forced to pay $6 for valet (the hostess had told us to park in the Wyndham Hotel parking lot).

This is a solid Yardhouse to enjoy a Monday Night Football Game (until the bartender tells me it's 2 hours tape-delayed). Also, a great spot for Happy Hour.

Generally, this seems like a Monday night spot as there's better places for other nights in Honolulu.

Service is excellent at the bar and the beer selection is extensive.

The Yardhouse used to be an every-weekend thing for me since I first moved to Hawaii.  It was always the place to 'hang out' before actually heading out to the nightclubs. The crowd and staff were always pretty cool, and it was a good "meeting place" for me and my friends.

The beer menu is crazzyyy.  There are sooo many.  They also have a decent happy hour throughout the week, but not on weekends which is a little weird.  The actualy food itself is pretty subpar pub food.  Don't expect anything nice or fancy like some of the resturaunts nearby.

My biggest reason to dock it down a star is that unless you get there super early, expect to wait up to two hours to be seated. And that's only if ALL of your party is present.  They don't accept reservations, either.  It's the biggest reason why the Yardhouse slowly slipped off my radar as "the spot."

Overall, though, simply for the fun crowd, good atmosphere, and awesome AMF's, I'm giving it a 4 star rating.

Okay, I know...Yard House really isn't really the kind of place that's going to blow your mind.  I mean, you pretty much know what you're going to get - typical brewery food, full bar, and a lot of beer to choose from.  Nothing wrong with any of that, but it's pretty much like a chain restaurant.  Yet it's still better...because they have SO MUCH BEER to choose from.  I mean, with that kind of variety available, it's gotta count for something right?

My friends and I were lucky enough to get a table next to one of their huge, open windows facing the street, so it was almost like sitting outside.  Being able to take in the weather while enjoying a couple of rounds with friends was a such an awesome way to spend the night.  And the icing on that tasty cake of life?  KONA PIPELINE PORTER!  I haven't had it in years, but it tasted just as good as I remember.  Honestly, that alone is worth four stars.

The Yard House is okay I guess if you are looking to get totally tanked off of delicious beers. They have a huge selection of beers and you can order them a yard long...hence the name of the bar.

The food is okay but not at all spectacular and the prices are kind of ridiculous but then again, you are in Waikiki so expensive is the norm. It's in a super convenient location being on Lewers street, so you're next to a bunch of great restaurants and other bars.

Like I said, if you want to get drunk and don't mind spending a pretty penny to do it, go for it. Once you're drunk though go somewhere else for food.

I've only drank here so have not tried the food. The drinks, especially beer menu is DIZZYING large!  So definitley a place to come for that.

So what's keeping a local gal like me from coming here often? 1) It's touristy so the wait can be long (depending on what day/time you come 2) it's not cheap 3) its waaaay too loud! I feel deaf every time I leave and forget trying to have a conversation with people, you're speaking in your outside voice all night long. If you love beer, then try this place at least once or twice to get your exotic on, but I couldn't see this place as a "relaxing" pau hana place.

    Pros:
-HUGE selection of beers and drinks
    -clean atmosphere
    -TVs/sports on

    Cons:
    -SUPER LOUD
    -pricey

My husband and I came to the Yard House with my brother-in-law after a long flight in from Seattle.

The bar was pretty empty due to it being APEC and a lot of the roads had been closed & people weren't out. It was also super windy and not very "hawaii-like".

I can see why the atmosphere might be fun on a standard Friday night but it was so loud and dark that we could barely hear each other.

The food was sub-par. We ordered sliders and chicken wings and a few beers.

It might be catered to a younger crowd but their happy hour was also lacking (not on Friday's - wth?)

One of my favorite restaurants in general. Would totally suggest this place to anybody especially of they like beer! Food is awesome too. Great app menu if you just want a beer and a snack. We always sit at the bar to check out all the cool taps. At happy hour you can get little samples sometimes just to try different beer. My favorite app there is the hummus and flatbread and well as the lettuce wraps. Good vegetarian menu as well.

A beer lovers dream come true!

Dark, chocolatey, nutty is what I call a great beer. Thanks to my boyfriend who is a true beer connoisseur who helped to awaken my palate.

If you appreciate a dark beer, try some of these:

    Our favs:

*Lost Coast Downtown Brown ~ WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!
    *Maui Brewing Co. Coconut Porter
*Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar ~ beautiful, brown nectar that'll keep you wanting more and more and more...(Foodland on Beretania carries it in bottles)
    *Rogue Chocolate Stout
    *Rogue Mocha Porter
    *Deschuttes Brewery Black Butte Porter

Draft is at least 10 times better than in a bottle. I can attest to that when I tried Rogue's Dead Guy Ale. It was night and day. I hated it in a bottle, but absolutely LOVED it on draft. I learned my lesson...to give a beer a second chance if you didn't like it the first time.

Also try their Surf and Turf burger. A thick, juicy burger with lobster meat and asparagus. YUM!

Yard house has a great happy hour! Mon-Thurs 2:30-5:30. 1/2 off selected appetizers and pizza and really good prices on drinks. They have a wide selection of alcohol, especially beer. I love it because it has a variety of foods for everyone, and has an entire selection of vegetarian entres. I love their fries, they are thin and crispy. The service is great. I drink a LOT of water, and someone comes and fills up your water like every 5 minutes. This is one of the only restaurants that I don't have to ask to bring me more water. Really good service! They validate parking (but you still have to pay $6 +valet) for the embassy suites.

This happening restaurant in the heart of Waikiki is a great place to go unwind, enjoy a little sport on the TV's all while having a good meal with good service.   The wait time when we were there was about an hour so plan ahead.   However with all of the shops around that time goes by pretty fast.   To start out we ordered the onion ring tower.   What a great way to start out.  The onions are sweet and the breading is crunchy but not flaky.  The chipotle ranch that comes with it was great.   My wife got the Mac n Cheese (squared) dish and thought it was great.   I got the lobster burger which was good but I would probably try something else on menu next time.  Their menu has a good variety of items and the dishes that I saw around me looked great.   I would definitely recommend this place.  I haven't been to Roy's down the street (rated high as well) but when you consider the price difference the Yard House wins in my book.

Yard House is a Fun place in Waikiki!

They known for having a variety of beers, and they serve it in different size like a goblet, pint, or a half yard.  I really don't like those half yard glasses. It's a long tube with a fat bottom, and the top bowls out. It's only fun the first time or for novelty sake.

    The food....
The entree are big portions, well big for me. For a group of four we ordered 2 appetizers everyone had a entree and soup. Way too much food because we wanted dessert!

    Appetizers!!!
We ordered the Lettuce Wraps which were tasty! (http://www.yelp.com/us...)
They have three different sauces ( which seems like a sweet and sour, a Korean sauce and a Thai sauce!). I wished they carefully picked their lettuce, some of the lettuce had opening in the middle where it could drip the sauce on your hands!  But all and all it was pretty good!

We also ordered the Chicken Nachos. ***DO NOT gets these (http://www.yelp.com/us...)
It was recommended by our waitress, one of the few times when recommendations are horrible! The chicken nachos tasty like nachos, not even good nachos! We didnt even eat half and we stopped eating it. T tasted like there were a ton of beans! Yuck!

I ordered the vodka shrimp pasta! (http://www.yelp.com/us...)
Delicious!  One of the best parts of the dinner I had there!  It's has a really fine skinny noodle!  A lot of shrimp an tasty!  The only complaint I have is that they serve it with a spoon which is hard to grab noodles as it slides off. Use a fork!

For dessert we decided on the trio sampler! (http://www.yelp.com/us...)
Great choice! It comes with a  lemon soufflé, peach apple cobbler and chocolate soufflé. The cobbler is nice but the lemon soufflé is not that good. The chocolate soufflé was the best! Next time I'll just order a chocolate soufflé!

I also had the French onion soup! (http://www.yelp.com/us...)
It was ok! The soup was tasty though overall it didn't mix well. I think I had the best French onion soup in Alaska!

I also got a pale lager called the Kronenbourg 1664! Nice, light and smooth. I probably order this again!

The total bill for my group of four was $149 and $179 with tip.
$45 bucks each.. decent food but pricey.

My coworker was excited about going here, so I went along with it.  We waited about half an hour (for a burger joint in Waikiki? Really? Sheesh).

Lots of flash photography so not recommended for anyone with seizure disorders at all.  The majority were asian tourists taking pictures of .. their meal.  Lots and lots of pictures of their meal.

Service was a little erratic, but the server was a great guy.  There was one gluten free beer on the menu (Red Bridge).  Server was able to identify a GF salad but no entrees, so I went with a burger and no bun after he checked with the kitchen about fillers.    Coworker had the artichoke appetizer, which looked great - but came covered in a thick sauce that I had to assume contained wheat.

This isn't great food or even very good food.  If you're roughly 25, you'll probably think it's just awesome.  Your tongue is covered in grease anyway.  You go to Roy's for excellent food; this is just average to cheap fare for Waikiki.  I'd seriously suggest going to Ruth's Chris upstairs instead.

Yardhouse is the perfect place to go with a group of people to get some drinks and some finger food. There is a wide variety of beer, and there is bound to be something for everyone whether you like a Belgian beer, a dark beer, or a fruity beer. I advise everyone to try and AVOID going on MONDAY's, I recently went and they were pretty much out of 4 of the 8 beers we ordered. They get their kegs on Tuesday, so you get the picture..

The food is average, nothing special. I've had the spinach artichoke dip, onion rings, bluecheese burger, turkey club, spicy fried chicken wings (like a spicy General tso's chicken), and the truffle fries....I'd say the truffle fries are my fave. Thinly sliced, loaded with garlic, parmesean, and truffle oil. A little bit on the oily side because of all the truffle oil but so yummy. The prices range from $5 (for fries) to about $12-15 for the burgers and sandwiches, to about $17+ for the mains....They have pasta and steak but I've never ordered any of them..

The service is okay. Its been a hit/miss for me and I've been to the Waikiki location and one of the restaurants in Boston...When they are slammed, its hard to get their attention because they are manning more tables than they can handle...but there are a number of other bussboy/waiters walking around so try to grab them if you are in a hurry to get another round or to get your check...Waikiki location seems to have slowed down a little bit because summer's ended but they do still get pretty busy so make sure you go before/after their peak hours...They also have 2 happy hours (2-5:30 & 10:30-close). I would have liked to give Yard house 3.5 stars but the happy hour's pretty good, so I rounded up.

We kicked off our bachelor/bachelorette party festitives at Yard House back in September. Our group of 25 waited about an hour to be seated, despite having a reservation. We were a few minutes late gathering everyone but that wait was completely unnecessary. Then they were out of all the light Hawaiian beers, which was really disappointing. My turkey burger had a lot of vegetables mixed in so it tasted more like a veggie burger than turkey. The fries were pretty decent.

Our server Egan was very pleasant and patient with the large group so he gets props for that.

That half yard of beer is fun but I'm not a local so I'm not sure I'll ever return.

    I freaking love Yard House.

    The Good:
    * The food is delish! Always a treat to eat here.
    * Happy hour is *wink* cherry!
    * Beer... omg my favorite is Eclipse. (no.. not like the movie.. ugh.) Give me half a yard of that, and I will NOT be driving home. hahah.
    * I always order the Ahi  Sandwich... my goodness! The greatest creation ever. The ahi is so fat that it puts burger meats to shame!!
    * Their french fries are always crispy and fresh
    * French Onion soup here is good, but don't expect a big bowl!
    * Validated parking at a couple hotels, I always park at the Wyndham. However you spell that.......

    The Bad:
    * The crowd! Don't come on those busy weekend nights, you'll wait atleast an hour and a half for a table. They do NOT take reservations!

    The Weird:
    * I accidentally took one of those buzzers home with me because the wait was too long! I didn't do it on purpose! I PROMISE! I'm SORRY YARDHOUSE! But I still come and give you guys business, so... don't be mad!

Yay for Yard House!  Been here a few times but for some reason I was only hit with its awesomeness on my last visit.

We were seated pretty quickly after we checked in.  I definitely recommend calling ahead and making a pseudo reservation because this place is normally packed to the rafters.  Seriously, there was an actual bottleneck situation going on by the bathrooms.  But I love the exciting atmosphere it provides the place.

The food is soooo yummy.  I am officially in love with their onion rings.  I'd do an occasional dance with their crab dip but those towers of perfectly cooked rings of joy are definitely what I'd put on my favorites list.  Their fish and chips were delicious too.  I was so satisfied by the end of that meal.

There are a lot of things that make this place so much fun.  The location for starters (in Waikiki - woo!), the service (they're helpful and nice), the vibe (tv's going/openness courtesy of the large windows/hundreds of people looking for a good time), everyone's drinking (yay!) and the food is good!

    Definitely a new favorite restaurant!

    Food:

Nachos - chicken was really dry and flavorless. But the portions were huge
Sweet Potato fries - the bacon maple cream dip was pretty much maple syrup. It was too sugary. The fries were good too.

    Drinks:

Belgian Shandy - mixture of a cider and a beer - not that good
Rose Gaarden - mixture of a beer and the Lambec framboise - great, my gf drank it all.

Pro's - flat screens, beer and food
Con's - expensive, no parking, food wasn't that good

We went there a few years ago because a friend said they had good steak. And it was. We were pleasantly surprised.

Fast forward to the present, and had the chance to go again for a daughters birthday dinner, we we're kinda looking forward to it. Anticipating something new to try.

The wait wasn't  bad at all, though the place was crowded to the gills. Maybe just the right timing. Got seated at a nice table by an open air window perfect for people watching in Waikiki. Got served by a very nice and friendly waitress, that was quick to take our drink orders... not too quick for the cocktails to arrive though, but like I said , the place WAS full, and I guess the bar coulda been backed up.

So much for the good part!

For appetizers we got the lobster, crab, and artichoke dip, because it was RAVED about to our daughter, so hey lets get that. Also the onion ring tower. Wife and son in law ordered the French onion soup. The soup arrived sorta warm, to where the cheese on the top wasn't melted. The lobster crab artichoke dip had way too much chips to dip ratio, I mean the dip ran out half way before the chips did. So what do we do with all this left over chips... no dip, no salsa, no nothing. And to us, it really wasn't worth raving about. The Onion ring tower looked okay, with three different dipping sauces, but again they kinda all tasted the same... bland.

Lobster Garlic Noodles, for the birthday girl. The grilled rib-eye for her hubby, and the kids Mac & Cheese for my grandson. The wife had the chopped salad with sliced chicken, and yours truly went out on a limb and got the Blue Crab Cake Hogie.

The wife wasn't impressed at all with her salad, she said it was kinda dry, and it might have needed a little more something.... like TASTE! There was a lot of Lobster, Garlic Noodles going home that night in the take home box. Daughter said it was good, but we knew she was just being nice about it. The steak looked really good, and cooked just right for my son in-law. He devoured it... with him.... if it's red meat, and it's grilled, then it's ALL GOOD! My Hoagie... I thought... had waaaaaaay too much bread, I mean even the Blue Crab Cake seemed to have too much bread filler, it also came with Swiss, tomato, bacon, avocado, and Cajun aioli, on a garlic toasted french bread.

You know when you take that first bite, and you get that rush of deliciousness, and your head does a slow bob up and down? Well , there was the bob alright, but it was more a bob due to chewing thru all the bread. I tasted bread, veggies, bread, a teeny tiny hint of crab through the BREAD..... and no Cajun aioli... I dunno, I ate half and my mouth just gave up... sorry!

I DID have a taste of the little ones mac & cheese, and I'll admit, it wasn't bad at all. Might have been the second best thing of the night.

All this came with quite a hefty price tag, in fact I and the wife were pretty shocked, we couldn't believe with tax and tip it would come up to over $200.00... whew... I know that price is gonna keep me away for quite a while. I tell-ya.

And one last thing..... I've drank yards of beer in SD, and I'm wondering how come they're called "The Yard House'" when they ONLY serve beer in 18" glasses.... Shouldn't they be.... the "Half a Yard House!" Maybe because you're gonna pay by the yard!

I am not a big fan of Yard House, but I do come here often. However, it is a great change of atmosphere.

It is obvious that they don't service the locals well either. But, they are in Hawaii - get over it! They need to give just as good a service to the local customers.

It takes forever to be seated, and once you enter, you see that there have been tables available all along.

I like the dark environment, and it seems to be a different scene from the outside lights of Waikiki.

This is a place with great appetizers, so i almost always get appetizers here. I believe I gotten an actual meal and it was some pasta with shrimp.

I do like their drinks. They are way too yummy, and I enjoy the restaurant a lot more when I do consume their alcoholic beverages. Although, I wish the drinks were cheaper, I enjoy drinking at Yard House.

Waikiki has so much to offer, and for fun we venture off where the tourists tend to go.
I ordered the turkey burger, substituted with stir fried vegetable on the side.  My husband had the Cajun chicken with shrimp stacked on some tortilla.  Our meal totaled $31 with no drinks as we're not big boozers on weekdays. =)

The food was okay, but I was really impressed with their stir fry.  It had a mixture of all the vegetables and they served it on a separate bowl unlike some places (Hard Rock Cafe) so my buns would not soak up the water/sauce.

The ambiance is dark, with big leather booths that surrounds the entire restaurant.  There is a fully stocked bar and the place is known for their long list of beers.

I think they have daily happy hours, but we usually can't make it because of our work hours.  So for 1/2 off pupus it may be worth it, but I can't say we'll be back.

Loved the yard beers. Many beers on tap. Cocoanut porter in a yard glass was to die for. Servers are friendly. A little pricey but they have a late happy hour:)
