I was looking for a quick lunch where I could get some beer but man, this is not the place.

The last time I was here was maybe 5 years ago when I took a date out to play some pool. It was cool then and the fact that it was at night made it better.

I went today in the middle of the afternoon & this place was dead. Not that I was looking for a party to be going on but I walked to the front door & noone was there to seat me so I just took a seat at the bar. I ordered a beer, then a pizza. The prices seemed a bit high but I was there & there was no turning back.

The pizza, though I ate the whole thing because I had no breakfast today, it was i dire need of some sauce and flavor.

Oh yeah, parking is around the corner & I literally found the last spot int he whole parking satructure on the 5 floor.

Ok, I am done.

Lesson learnt - Any place with 2.5 stars on yelp is not worth trying.

1. Pool tables had stains.
2. Had to run behind the waitress to get service.
3. Restroom stinks and there were no paper towels.
4. Disgusting crowd.
5. Watered down Blue Cheese :-)

Maybe upstairs would have been better than downstairs.

The second stop on a Santa Monica food tour turned out to be satisfactory enough.  My friend and oh so lovely guide to Yankee Doodle raved about the turkey burger, but I became quickly enthralled with the concept of onion ring and bacon on my burger and ordered the Texan.

The overall atmosphere to Yankee's is very sports barsy with the sea of televisions, but a bit upscales like with its deep wood bar, tables, and chairs.  The servers were fairly attentive and they have a nice outdoor seating area (which apparently every restaurant in the Santa Monica area offers) complete with those nifty outdoor heaters.

Our food was yummy.  My burger was all that I had hoped it would be.  What girl can argue with a burger topped with cheese, onion rings, and bacon alongside some fresh french fries? I happily obliged to feeding my face and would do so again since they have a whole lotta takes on the classic burger.

Slandered sports bar conveniently located on 3rd street promenade.
I have never eaten here but I've had drinks her multiple times. Bathroom could be cleaner and it is very ark inside. Good place to grab a quick drink.

Yankee Doodles needs to go... ASAP. This is such a nice large space that can be used for a FOX Sports Grill or ESPN Zone instead of the atrocity that is YD's. Maybe even a Lucky Strike lanes. The possibilities are endless.

The food here is subpar bar food, usually overcooked and over salted, seldom do you get the portions that  you crave. But who really cares how the food tastes since it will arrive cold and with a bad attitude from your server. And you would have probably already lost your appetite after going to the bathroom and seeing the filth that has overtaken it. Maybe that wasn't enough to make you lose your appetite? Well surely the smell of mold and stale beer inside and on your table will do the trick.

Don't even try to come here on a Sunday now that football season is here. The bad food and service get diluted even more.

I was forced to go here for lunch the other day with a group. I should have protested but compromised because we got a table outside. It was pretty silly. The food was mediocre and the loud heavy metal music playing made it hard to talk. After we all finished eating we were abandoned by our waitress. "Help! Someone, anyone, get me out of here!"

I really enjoyed seeing the ENORMOUS burger brought out by a guy obnoxiously blowing a whistle.  It really was the biggest burger I've ever seen in my life. It was so huge that people were asking the guy who ordered it if they could take a picture.

I was here only once, years ago on St. Patrick's day. I was given some bottle openers and had the best BBQ Chicken ever. I just poked the chicken with my fork and it pretty much fell apart. The meat was extremely tender and packed with flavor. I didn't go there for the drinks, the pool or anything else. Perhaps that's the bad part of this place.

I never been back though, I wonder if that chicken will be the same. I am afraid to go back because I would like to retain my memory of the best bbq chicken I ever had!

The food here is typical bar food. Nothing special but they offer ginormous beers so I am happy with this place. I also met a hot Cougar and noticed that this place seems to have Cougar bar potential. They also offer Pyramid Hefeweizen on tap so I will return next time I am back.

It's basically a huge sports bar in the middle of the Santa Monica 3rd st. promenande.  So while the girls are shopping the boys can have a drink.
There's nothing wrong with it, its just huge, and I was there on a Friday to watch the Yankee Boston game and you would think there would be more people, but there wasn't.  The happy hour food portions are TINY. So know that. You think you're getting a deal because they are 2.95-3.95, but in reality, just get the normal size.  A squirrel wouldn't be satisfied.   Beers are average priced, no deal there. The employees are very nice. And they play the Yankees game's. Yay.

Damn.
This place gets a lot of hate on Yelp. But why??

My posse and I decided to head here for dinner and some post-food coma fun on a Sunday night. The place was really crowded and we needed a table for 10 ASAP (you know, we were hungry and our stomachs don't wait for nothin' or nobody). The hostess was really friendly and accommodating and even though we were a large group on a crowded night we were seated fairly quickly.

They have a full bar with a good enough selection on draft and a huge variety on their food menu. A friend and I decided to get two dishes to share: the pulled pork sandwich and the shrimp po' boy. It wasn't the best dish I've ever had, but it was tasty enough and everything is better when accompanied by my pint-sized Sierra Nevada. The prices were reasonable and our waiter was constantly checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed.

But this isn't just a "dine, pay and GTFO" type place. Nooooo, siree. They have huge plasma TVs showing any and all games that are being aired at that moment. I wish I had thought of coming here during the Lakers season to watch my boys win. Oh well.... I'll be back next year when they make it to the finals (notice I said WHEN, not IF).

Moving on... for some reason, they decided to hang a flag of every country from the ceiling. Being that it is me we're talking about here, I may have spent a good half an hour trying to name them all. I is smart.

And how could I write a review without mentioning the dozen or so pool tables and bunch of arcade games all over the place? Not only do they have a billiards section right in the center of the main dining area, but they have stairs that lead to a downstairs arcade and pool hall to top it all off.

So, to sum it up: good food, good drinks, great service and not a CHANCE of being bored.

"Yay! I'm a fan."

I enjoyed my time at Yankee Doodles so I'm pretty surprised by all the 1 star reviews. I sat at the bar and got a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and loaded fries. The loaded fries were AMAZING. The fries were layered with cheese, sour cream, green onions and bacon and it was just right and not overdone. The service was fine too. I didn't have to go searching for the bartender when I ready to close my tab. I usually wouldn't go out of my way for standard bar food, but it seems like a really fun place and I was totally satified by the quality and price of my meal. Also, it's in the heart of the Promenade so there's plenty of other venues right around the corner to check out.

Lots of beer on tap, nice array of screens, good atmosphere, and good location but...

Food and service is no better than your local Applebee's but at 50% more on the wallet. Portions are small too.

I don't know why they got such bad review but I beg to differ. I go to 3rd street quite frequently to shop and I ate here on several occasions due to the convenient location(one of closest eateries near parking structure off broadway).  Here is the breakdown:
Food: Average bar type food, burgers, salads, and some other entree menu items I didn't bother to tryout because it's a bar/grill. If you want classy high quality food, go else where.

Environment: Your typical bar type restaurant. Day shoppers like to be seated outside to enjoy people watching, and random performances.
Night time I've gone on several occasions for drinks and pool. They have TVs ready  for sports too however I think for that, down the street Barneys got it down better...

Service: Pretty good. No complaints here, and never had problem with wait or being served rightaway.

Pro: I missed the happy hour by few minutes last time but supposedly they got really cheap tapas $2 $3 per selection and half price on pints. CANT GO WRONG WITH CHEAP DRINK/TAPAS! gonna try it out next time I am there....harhahrharhaa

8 or 9 years ago I would have given this place a four.. maybe a five. I liked it back then. Of course I was just barely of drinking age back then and anything with an alcohol content was something I wanted to hug.

Over the years this little piece of overpriced and poor food establishment has gone down hill and I'm not sure when it's going to hit the bottom. it would surprise me if there's any bottom left. I seriously think this place should be divorced from 3rd street. It's that bad that not even the overcrowded and homeless polluted 3rd street area deserves that punishment of having it here.

Food.. terrible.

Drinks... overpriced and not strong enough. Don't even get me started on the bottles. Meh at best. There's a lot of better bars around Santa Monica, let alone within a block or two from this death trap.

Service?  A question.. there isn't any here.

Pool room.... I wouldn't be surprised if it was covered in blood. The place is just a bad choice. It's smelly and really dank. yes. there you go. dank.

this place is alright.

pros:
-tons of huge TVs
-audio for games
-pretty good food, massive servings
-attentive waitresses
-lots of fans

cons: only play games in the dark, dark basement.
-doesn't always play every game, which is so sub-par these days.
-it's on the promenade, so parking is unbearable
-there's often a wait

just ok.  not outstanding.  better than busbys, far worse than even big wangs

You know those lil plates you get underneath an order of espresso? Take that plate and put calamari on half of it. That's a happy hour order of calamari. The hot wings were a good size though.

Yankee Doo Doo's is my new name for this place.

Finally, I get to beef up my one star ratings! woohoo!! Ok, I'd rather not. Really, especially if I have to go to places like Doo Doo's. I detest every single part of this gigantic cluster fuck tourist trap on the promenade. If you love douchebags, COME HERE!!! If you don't, well then I would suggest NOT.

I was forced (yeah, ok not literally) to come last night to watch the Laker game with some friends who we were meeting that were already here. Fortunately we did not have to stay long because we were on list for a table at Barney's (ugh, I know not much of an upgrade see my next review). The 20 minutes that I did spend here was 20 minutes too long. THANK GOD for the good company that was our group, and for the fact that I didn't eat (or drink) anything...It was so packed that all our friends managed to get were some stools in the corner that were next to a ledge sticking out from the wall. I tried to actually watch the game, but the visual quality of their TVs was so poor I eventually gave up and just ended up watching the tools instead.

If anyone asked me to come here again, no matter how much I might be starved for human interaction, I would rather chainsaw off one of my limbs. Yeah, yeah, I'm being dramatic as usual-but seriously, I'll pass. thanks.

Came here juust as the UFC fight was ending this past Saturday, so although it was bumpin' around 9-10PM when I arrived, by the time I left a little past midnight the place had almost entirely emptied, which I found discouraging for a Saturday night.

Drinks and food are classically overpriced sports bar fare, with the margaritas being the exception- $9 for a huge and delicious frozen mango margarita with real mango puree? Yes please! Food was unmemorable as were the cocktails besides the margaritas.

Enjoyed the abundance of billiard tables, and the shot girl was super nice and friendly. However, unless there's a sporting event, I don't think I'll be back. Just too overpriced, too tourist-y (well, it IS right on the third street promenade) and too empty.

Bing:  You have to dine & drink inside to take advantage of their Happy Hour Specials.  That's why there's room outside!  And I wanted to people-watch while I drank.

Bang:  Not too many people around at 4 PM.  Service was great as our server, Molly was both polite and attentive.

Boom:  Get the sliders.  $3 Fat Tire and Guinness (needed a better pour) on tap is a good deal here.  Pool tables and TVs abound like fireworks on the Fourth of July.

This place is shitty.

We sit down at a booth and then realize that we can't get any of the happy hour deals unless we sit at the bar. It was late so we opted for happy hour munchies. After moving to the bar, it takes the server like ten minutes to come take our orders even though she's clearly not busy.

She finally takes our orders (I'm pretty sure only because she overheard us complaining)

Our order arrives and it's wrong. Apparently 'sliders' and 'fries' sounds exactly the same. We tell the bitchy waitress and she actually has the nerve to get defensive. She says she repeated our order back to us and we didn't catch it. She thought I'd ordered sliders with a vegan house salad. She fixes our order, but then still charges us for the sliders (they were eaten by a friend.. but really?)

They kept blowing the whistles for the huge burger thing. So gross and annoying. Yes, I want to be constantly reminded that someone is trying to eat a burger the size of their head.

The bathroom was also disgusting. I almost vomited from the smell. It was NOT clean. Ewww.

So basically, this place is a shithole. Avoid at all costs.

Wait wait, yo man, can you hear that?  Whaddup lil homie.  Sounds like someone's playing some hardcore.  Oh yeah?  Where be the punk?  Right there yo, and he's carrying a pool cue.

That's right, ladies and gents.  When I walk into this place, I feel like I'm going to get straight shanked.  Everyone's looking around and trying their best to look/act hard.  On the 3rd Street Promenade?  Get over yourselves.  The only person around here who scares me is an old man driving towards the farmers' market.

I just don't understand this place at all.  It looks like it could be a cool spot, they have a full bar, and a ton of tvs and pool tables.  Sports bar?  Move along people, nothing to see here.  The food is terrible and overpriced for bar food (and made me sick later), the drinks are reasonably strong (and while it takes the waitress two seconds to get over to you and take your order, they always disappear for 15 minutes afterwards... and never get you your drinks until you ask again... this has happened all three times I've been).

The crowd?... sucks.  I shee heah, we gaht a buncha wiiiiiise guys... yeah shee, I'm gonna have ta give ya the ol' one two one if ya know what ahm shayin... yeah sure told them shee yeah

My recommendation is this: if you want to shoot some pool on a Sunday while you're watching football, it's an okay place.  2 stars okay.  Otherwise, do yourself a favor and steer clear.

Eh...I would rather go to Barney's if I'm looking for a sports bar.
Yankee Doodle's is ok if you're wanting to watch the game, play pool, or throw darts. Pitchers of beer are cheap ($13ish). Food is bleh. You have to wait ages in order to get someone's attention to serve you and then they'll treat you as though you're bothering them.
The vibe is just sometimes a little blah and I'm a bit impatient when it comes to sports bars and bad service.

I would go to Barney's, Ye Old Kings Head, or one of the pubs on Main Street....

Just OK for being right on the Promenade. Huge 5 stars for all of the people watching. That's the best thing this place has going for it.

On a weekend its all tourists from out of the country eating here.

We had salads. They were a decent size. The Santa Monica salad with the apples and walnuts is a big PASS. The Southwestern Salad was decent. Kind of on the spicy side. The iced teas were the 'brewed from a mix'. The service from the semi-cute wanna-be-actor-but-I-need-an-income-at-the-moment was mediocre.

Inside had pool tables and giant TVs. While no game was on while we were there I could see it being packed at game time.

In the immediate vicinity are Geoffrey's Beanery and Johnny Rockets so not much of a selection.

If you are a sports fan, you know that sometimes you have to ask to put on your game of choice.  The managers here are anal about changing channels.  Changing the channel on a TV that no one is watching shouldn't be a hassle, especially at a sports bar.  They won't lose but gain business from the guys spending 3 hours there because their game is on.

This place is poorly managed and the waitresses can be very spotty and unattentive.  The food and beer are overpriced.  The food is greasy and average.  The beer selection is very minimal.  There are nice crowds for big games or fights, only because it is the only "sports bar" around.

I decided to head out to the 3rd St. Promenade with my girlfriend to grab a bite to eat. We walked around and since this restaurant has an assortment of appetizers we thought we'd try it out. That was our mistake.

Calamari & Fries = 5 pieces of calamari and a sh*tload of fries
Iced Tea was watered down
Food came out somewhat cold
Service was pretty bad even though the place was not busy at all
Overpriced for the amount of food we got

First and last time going there. Sports Bars don't necessarily have to have sh*tty food and lots of beer on tap. Food and service has to be spot on as well.

A big fat MEH is right! Friend and I ended up in here because...I don't really know why...because we were hungry and delirious I guess.
We ordered a bunch of appetizers off the happy hour menu along with a couple of gin and tonics. When the drinks arrived there was no lime! Criminal!
The "small plates" for happy hour were really small. $3 for a handful of calamari? How is that a deal? The spinach and artichoke dip was out of a jar for sure and the buffalo wings were spicy BBQ wings. After all that didn't fill us up we decided to get the chicken quesadilla for $11! It ended up being pretty tasty but not worth more than $7.

Crazy overpriced for what it is! Don't be fooled by the happy hour specials! They aren't happy at all!

We came here yesterday afternoon. We wanted to sit inside, it was unusually warm for 4pm. When we were seated I was kinda bummed to find that it was actually hotter inside than out. Oh well, no biggie.

After sitting at our table for a good ten minutes the waitress, don't remember her name decided to grace us with her presence. We ordered our drinks and about 15 minutes later we received them. For some reason they don't come with ice. We had to ask for that separately. Weird...

We proceeded to order out food..chicken fingers for the kiddo, wings and a salad for grandma, caesar salad for me, burger for the hubster, and nachos to share. My salad was the best thing on the table. The kiddo refused to eat the microwave chicken, grandma's wings tasted funny, hubster said the burger was boring with no flavor, and the nachos were just plain gross. Taco bell has better ones for like 99 cents as opposed to 12.99.

When we got our bill I found it a bit trashy that the gratuity was calculated for you on the bottom. 18% is considered the norm my butt... This chick was lucky she got anything. I wanted to tip the mexican man who refilled out drinks, brought us our silverware, brought out our food, and numerous cups of ice to go with our drinks but I could not find him.

FAIL yakee doodle, big fat FAIL

Will not be here again.

BTW- Don't go potty here, it's nasty! and they were out of soap...thank gosh for my travel sized hand sanitizer!

I like the location bc its right on the Promenade. It's a good place for a guy to watch the game while their girlfriend is shopping. I should divulge that I can't comment on the food because I just drank beer. The selection was underwhelming. It was comparable to what you would find at any other chain restaurant. The good thing is that you can get beer in three different sizes: pint, large, and pitcher. I got two larges (34 oz) and they were decently priced at $9/each.

As for the service, our waitress was real nice (not to mention good looking) and she did a great job of coming around to check whether we were good or not. The problem came when she brought my friend her burger. First off, the menu did not say the burger had mayo on it. When my friend found out and requested it be fixed, the waitress did not bring back the burger but just brought out a new bun.

The real winner about this place are the TV's. There are tons of places to sit and tons of TV's to watch. Plus, if you get bored, there are about ten pool tables in which to challenge friends. Can't ask more than that.

After reaping the benefits of my Lasik surgery for the past 6 or 7 years, my eyes are starting to go bad again.  Sigh.  This time around, I'm only getting glasses since eye contacts have been nothing but trouble for me in the past.  And here is one of those times...

At Yankee Doodles, I was shooting pool with a friend and getting way hammered.  Since one of my contacts popped out, I was gazing around the room like a pirate without his eye patch.  After a couple of cycloptic scans, my eye fixates on a dreamy beauty across the room.  There she was--motionless and passionately staring straight into my soul (or loins).

I winked at her a couple times and she just kept giving me that 'come hither' look.  After quenching my cowardly thirst with some liquid courage, I grabbed our waitress to assist in my dealings.

"See that foxy gal right there?  Find out what she's drinking and let her know that her next one is on me."

"Who that one?!"

"Yeah, she's been eye humping me the whole night."

"[Chuckles] I know her!  I'll bring her over."

The waitress moseys on over to the other side and chats with her for a bit.  She then picks her up and brings her over to our table...a cardboard cutout of Carmen Diaz with a moustache and goatee drawn in with a Sharpie.

Fail.

As for Yankee Doodles, it's a decent place though I think people only come here if they can't get into the other clubs on the promenade...or if they got kicked out or banned from another bar.

The rare lucky one who had a good experience here I guess?

Food was above average (my burger was very tasty, friend's club sandwich looked good and of decent quality), server was a sweetheart and on her toes for the area of the patio she was serving...beautiful weather and a nice mix of everyday people made for an enjoyable experience. The bathroom was clean when I went in there although it is kinda cramped and in an awkward area of the joint, but it is what it is I guess.

I won't eat at Hooters or Johnny Rockets (both for my own reasons), this wasn't such a bad choice but based on the other reviews I suppose your mileage may vary.

I love this sports bar even though I have ZILCH interest in sports.  I've sat at the bar, which is spacious yet cozy, on each visit.  I've visited with a girlfriend, a small coed group, and a different bf on two different visits.  Each time, I happily killed a couple of hours to stop in and hang out with a couple of beers.  I extra-happily enjoy appetizers at the bar if I happen to come in during happy hour.

This is also a nice reward for those kind boyfriends/guy friends who accompany their female counterparts to third street.

A note to the manager/staff/owner/whoever else from Yankee Doodle's (now being referred to as "YD's" in this review) in Santa Monica... Yes, I AM the one who left the "You've Been Yelped" card you received tonight on the host/hostess stand. Read the following review with caution...you're about to get schooled in the art of customer service.

As a (and I mean big...HUGE!) fan of sports bars, I have very high expectations for any sports bar (or sports bar-type estahlishment - any
bar/restaurant making a conscious descision to show sports games
during business hours) I go to. That said, brace yourselves, Yelpers,
because this review will be less than pleasant.

The only reason that this (or ANY of the) YDs location(s) in Southern California is (are) rated "#1 sports bar in Los Angeles/the nation/whatever" by Citysearch reviewers is because (a) Citysearch reviews are bunk (puh-leeze, we all know Yelp is where it's at! - holla!), (b) they have very little competiton in terms of sports bars, and (c) they seem to milk the success of ONE location and use it as a marketing ploy for the other locations. Can I call BULLSH*T on this one? The ONLY reason that the Hooter's down street doesn't give them more of a run for their money is because they have about (seriously) 1/4 of the square footage. If Hooter's could expand (i.e., if the business next to them went out of business), they'd take market share from YD's, without a doubt.

Sorry, I digress...I'll start from the beginning of the night.

We walked into YD's shortly after tipoff (about 5:10) of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Lakers vs. Magic. Since we were joining a group and knew where they were sitting, we headed straight downstairs to join our friends, who had been there since about 15-20 minutes before 5pm. When we arrived, they had seen our waitress ONE time (in passing, no less, hadn't talked to her yet) prior to our arrival. About 15 minutes goes by, and we see the manager pass our table about a half-dozen times...but no waitress.  We finally decide to flag the other waitress down and ask her politely if she was covering our section as well. She shot back huffily, "No, I'm not" Tries to leave at  this point, thinking she's been MORE than thorough in her answer. OK...(stop her from leaving, asking) "Well, do you happen to know which of the servers is covering this section?" Her answer? "No, don't - sorry." and proceeds to walk off. Huh? Well, thank YOU for being little miss helpful, blondie.

A few minutes later, we see the manager coming towards us, so we flag him down to ask him about our server. This is basically what he said, looking flustered already: "I'm sorry, but your server will be with you momentarily. We're a little busy in here today." Uh, really? No kidding, Captain Obvious, we had kind of figured that out 50 minutes ago...Oh, uh...yes, well, right now each of our servers is handling orders for about 90-120 people here, so we're working as fast as we can."

"Well, could you please ask her to come over so we can order some food?" (hint: we want to give you money) He respond: "Guys, we do have about 8 servers working down in this area. Please be patient, we'll be with you shortly...thanks." Wait, what? First of all, we were not being rude to you, there's no need to tell us to be patient - in fact, that's what we HAD been doing for about an hour! Secondly, if there were actually 8 servers working in the area, why did we keep seeing the SAME TWO? (the same two who kept ignoring us?)

Needless to say, after about 10 minutes more of "being patient" and seeing our waitress (we're assuming it was her, since the other one we kept seeing insited that we weren't in her section) come down and take orders for two other tables, we decided enough was enough and got up to leave. One of the guys in our party had opened a bar tab, so he went off to settle it. TOOK 15 MINUTES to get their attention.

I am a full believer in the "trickle down" effect - where the employees of a company only act the way they have been conditioned to act...by management. They act the way they are trained, and if management only trains to provide poor customer service, then that is exactly what their servers will provide. YD's has lackluster service AND attitude!

Sure, YD's has TVs aplenty, but my BlackBerry has better screen resolution than some of them. Sure, they have a full bar and a big menu - but I wouldn't order most of them.

BOOOOOOO, Yankee Doodle's. And here I thought the crappy service at the Woodland Hills location was a fluke. Might have to bust out a review for THAT one too. I'm on a roll, playa.

One poor, miserable, pitiful shaka. I'm boycotting...I'll be going to Hooters to watch my games from now on (AND their wings are better!!)...

I used to come here on game days but most recently I've decided to find a better venue. The noise level is pretty high and most patrons are clustered in a small walkway next to the bar. To truly enjoy the experience, you're confined to watching the big screen televisions over and across an open floor built for billiards. While the big screens lack the clear definitions necessary, the smaller televisions sprinkled around the restaurant often are not showing the game or sport of your preference.

Food takes an easy way out by masquerading itself with sauce and dressing. Chicken wings can be tough and over-fried, and their entree options such as the bbq chicken and ribs, are decent but way overpriced.

I brought my friend from the Richmond District to watch a game and he was hit on by a woman at least 20 years his senior. She was very persistent and kept offering to share his food with him. To this day we still laugh about the incident. How funny.

On another occasion, I was there by myself after work with my laptop. I needed to use the restroom and asked the front counter if I could leave my laptop at the counter for a few minutes until I return. The manager and server on the spot said no, leaving me to hold it until the game was over. Not funny.

The bartenders here are great but the other service components are very poor. The servers are never attentive so it's always difficult to flag someone down to take your orders. It is easy to find the manager and employees gathering around the register for a chat, but that itself also make them seem inaccessible and difficult to approach when service is needed.

As a shady place, this sports bar is shooting in the dark when it comes the qualities of ambiance, food, and service. I'll give it a 2-star rating for having nice bartenders, big screen TVs, and for staying open during holidays. Other than that, there's not a whole lot else to cheer for.

Went here to celebrate a friend's new job, and it was not bad. Seating for 8 took about 20 min, which was a short wait compared to Beanery and Cabo on the Promenade. I got a mango margarita and it was very yummy, with a smoothie consistency. The food there isn't bad, we had spinach and artichoke dip plus fried calamari to start. The calamari was actually mostly french fries as fillers -- i don't recommend getting it, it's definitely not worth the money. I got the Texas burger and it was huge and delicious. It was big enough to have half for dinner and save the other half for lunch the next day! We had missed happy hour, which was 4-7 and didn't want to wait for the next shift, which would be 10-close I believe, so our drinks were the typical priceyness. But they have super large tv screens against one wall and decent sized ones hanging from place to place. Service was ok, and after the meal we went down stairs to their billards and arcade section and played Foosball for a bit, which was fun. Overall a pretty good hangout spot.

Eat and drink here if you must.  But don't call it a sports bar.  They'd move the Superbowl to the small screens if it conflicts with video jukebox

A few pints of hefe.

+ A couple scotch & sodas.

+ A million screens to look at so you can say,"Oh, I was watching ___ instead" when people notice your lack of interest in "THE game" and accuse you of being a pansy.

+ One disgustingly-large-and-orgasmically-delicious appetizer platter.

- Half the price of everything.

= Best happy hour ever.

I love this place. It'd be nice if there were more half-priced beers during happy hour, as even their domestic section is lacking, but it's the only place where I can actually appreciate a good-ol'-American-piss-in-a-can Bud Light.

Go for happy hour. The rest of the time, it's just another Yard House.

If you are looking for a bar to dance and go nuts... this is not the bar at all.  However, for a chill night with friends & shooting some pools n dots, Yankee is more like to it.

1. beer selection: not a very impressive selection at all... They do not carry as much as choices for me.  For beer lover... Barney's across the street might be the place to go, Yankee just aint have it.

2. Food choices: typical bar food... fairly decent food.  The kicten time vary depends on the night.  However it usually open up until 12:30.  Its a great benefit for people who play pool all night.

3. Entertaining: There are aracade game, pool, pool, pool and tons of TV with sports channel.

Overall, not a bad bar for a chill night... no POW or something super excited

went here on a friday night
last week, not too crowded, ppl at the bar and playing pool, not too loud

it was interesting, like a sports bar with pool and a small dancefloor
drinks were priced fairly
got a pitcher of dos xx for $13

only 1 guy was dancing by his lonesome but having a grand time

pool was a bit pricey, dont remember exactly what it was but it was enough for us to not want to play

there were bartender ladies walking around selling $2 shots
french fries were good :)

all in all, an a-ok place, wouldnt mind going there again, not super clean, but not dirty

I was here on a Friday night for my friend's birthday.  Good service, not too crowded.

It's a large sports bar atmosphere, featuring a lot of pool tables, televisions featuring music videos and sporting events, and a...healthy-looking...female waitstaff.  Everyone's very nice.

I didn't try any food.  Regardless, a good time.
