Very nice hamburger place, worth stopping by. They have some huge hamburgers that are actually too big, but they are nice.
The root beer made me reconsider root beer as a drink. Before that I always thought it was some kind of punishment for kids that don't behave. The floaters look pretty (i'd say too) big.
They have a nice Americana style, literally full of memorabilia, and if you're into these kinky things of classic cars, I think they have some weird thing going on weekends, specially on summer. That's not my thing though.
I want to love Triple XXX... really I do because it's such an icon, but everything there is super greasy and way overpriced. Also, they only take cash... who carries cash these days??!!
Even the kids meals are $7 to $9!
They do make a darn good $7 root beer float...
I wouldn't come back here by choice...I've had a few of the burgers. The only decent one was the one that came with chili on it... it disguises the super dry/over cooked meat. Waitstaff gets a 3 out of 10...they take your order, bring you your food and then leave the bill. No real attention given to their guests. The stuff on the walls is fun to look at for about 5 minutes, but after that you just sit and wonder where your food is. The shakes/malts are good, but expensive. I feel claustrophobic in this place...lots of stuff everywhere, lighting is bad and they have a weird seating set-up...I just want to get OUT after about 15 minutes. Fatburger up the road is a better bet.

The first time I went here we were just out riding on the motorcycle and there was bikers and muscle cars all over so we stopped to check it out
I was hungry as hell so with out even looking at the menu I was like give me the largest burger you have with cheese no tomatoes as they don't agree with me and some onion rings
when the food came out I was ok what did I get myself into the Burger was HUGE
Don't forget to get a big old mug of Root Beer or a Float
well i almost didn't eat the onion rings but that would be a waste of some damn good onion rings
but you have to go in the summer time for sure if nothing else go on a saturday afternoon get a Root Beer Float and check out Muscle Cars
This place is crazy... yet family-friendly, and has amazing food. The XXX float is huge, the XXX burger is madness.... and yes I can proudly say I ate the whole thing. (not for the casual diner).
They have cool car shows all summer, and some of the best danged root beer you'll have anywhere.
Go check em out! It's *very* easy to get there from I-90.
I about puked after trying to hog down the chili dog...it tasted full of msg...if you don't know what that tastes like...try doing a shot of soy sauce and then a tablespoon of salt...urp...
The second worst burger I have ever had. You pay $10 for a weird gray pancake that is supposed to be beef. F this place
I pulled in about 11:15 the day before yesterday because I was early for an appointment, and needed a bite, but not a big meal. I ordered a large rootbeer, and a "smitty muffler" or a corndog to the rest of the world. It took over a half-hour to arrive, they put ice in the mug, even tho it was a chilled mug, the whole service crew is mexican, that is not a slur, or a problem til some jack-ass in the kitchen puts chopped jalapenos in the corndog batter, and there was something wrong with it, because it gave mr a case of heartburn that wouldn't go away til middle of the night, and a habdful of antacid pills. I won't go back there to buy anything, and won't recommend it.

My Mom and I were driving back to Issaquah from Snoqualmie Falls,
My Mom said she wanted to get a burger there,
I reminded her my little Sister got food poisoning there several years back, my Mom did not remember the episode, so XXX it was.
I went in to order, my Mom got a table outside.
I came out to check on everything, I did not see my Mom, I went to the truck, she was there with my little Pomeranian, she said they told her
"no Dogs are allowed on the property, even outside", in fairness to XXX they do have a sign by the tables.
I went inside and waited for my XXX Special Bacon Burger, I substituted Onion Rings for the Fries for a mere $3.00 X-tra, I took my $19.00 Burger and left, vowing never to return.
The burger was only "just average", the service was OK, I did not realize the burger would cost $19.00 when I ordered it, my fault, I take responsibility for that, seriously how can a bacon burger with Onion Rings cost almost $20.00 @ a place like this ?
On a positive note eleven hours after eating I am not suffering any gastrointestinal issues.
I called my Mom earlier and she is alive and kicking,
I called my little Sister and told her about our outing, she laughed and asked what I did to my Mom to make her want to go there.
I wanted to LOVE XXX, I really did. Alas, that was not the case. The burgers were too greasy and the bun was stale. The fries, well, to be honest, I can't remember how the fries were which leads me to believe they weren't that scrumptious.
However, the root beer is another story. It's delicious. If you're wanting just rootbeer, this is the place for you. If you want a yummy burger, go somewhere else.
Side note; they only take cash.
I cannot figure out why this place constantly gets "Seattle's Top 10 Burger" ranking All the times I had their burger, it wasnt thick and juicy, but rather flat, like a pancake (and they spread out two of them to justify a quarter pounder) and just tastless and sometimes gross with over done toppings! Their shakes and drinks are fun though, but since people seem to like pancake burgers, as thats the only reason I can think of why this place keeps getting voted one of Seattles ten best burgers! 3 pancake burgers do not make a large half a pounder!
