They could do so much better. And they used to.

I so love the idea of this place, but it's, of course, too contrived. I can get a moon pie at 7-11 and heat it up myself and, there you go, I'm already more authentic than they are. They're basically using their theme as an excuse not to keep the bathroom nice and clean. And they need cheaper prices to go with the cheap fare. The food should be so cheap it's basically an excuse to fill your belly with more beer.

And the margaritas are abso-fuckin-lutely disgusting and not in a good way.

So I came back here after my friend had to take a mind blowing examination for her teacher's certification.

I wanted something fun and kitschy and what better place to go than good ol Trailer Park Lounge?  The place wasn't packed since it was pretty early for dinner (around 6:30ish) but it took a few minutes for the hostess to seat us.

However, all was forgiven since our waitress was especially attentive.  We were seated near the tv and lucky us, Elvis was on (I have no clue which movie it was)

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with the side of tater tots.  DELICIOUS.  I love this place, I love this place, I love this place because it's hilarious AND it hits my carby craving spot.

this is about as authentic as if disneyland created Trailer Park Land and The Trailer Park Lounge was the featured ride.

this is the "smallworld after all" ride of the west side.

it says trailer park lounge. where's the over 40 waitress with the broken heel and birds nest bed head? I wanna feel like my tip will go towards her illegitimate son's landscaping startup company.

i'd buy the tacky decor if the prices matched. 14.50 for a long island ice tea? what the FUCK. this isn't the russian tea room. Bartender poured no name tequila out of a plastic bottle into my cup along with other shitty bottom shelf booze and when it didn't fill the whole glass, instead of topping it off with a little extra booze, he threw in more ice to make it seem full. Really? You really think I need more ice?

they go way overboard with the dressings...we get it, you're trailer park themed...you don't have to put random chotchkies on absolutely everything. the fridge had these magnets with the different styles of mullets. isn't that a little on the nose? people with mullets don't have magnets that make fun of their mullets. they like them and rock out with them on a regular basis.

they don't do pitchers of beer, only glasses. thats my second what the FUCK. you're called the trailer park lounge and you don't have pitchers of beer?!

I don't even need to go further on that.

okay so i get it...its not trying to be a real trailer park bar, its trying to have that theme. the nostalgic posters and display items are there, but thats about it.

they do have pitchers of blended fruity margaritas. a group of computer programmers next to me were downing them and hitting on the waitress. not that i have anything against computer programmers but if you're gonna try to run game and brag out loud about your salary to each other, at least be drinking something that confirms your high status manliness...jack and cokes, martinis, raw gasoline...there's a lot of options, and none of them include blended fruity margaritas.

I'm sure I could come up with some profound social commentary about class divisions or the urban/rural divide in America by the spectacle of Manhattanites drinking PBR at a "white trash" theme bar. I mean, it's an amusing place once or twice but it's also someone's sociology thesis waiting to happen!

I looooooove the decor, but the waitresses are always rude (the last one kept calling my boyfriend "Babe") and the food is a little pricey considering what ya get. The drinks are strong (but also a little expensive) and it's usually a quick turnover if you're waiting for a table. Sadly, each time we go we walk out and ask, "Why didn't we just go to BBQ's?!"

It's right next door and I think the food is probably better and cheaper. Still, there's no velvet Elvis painting next door.

Well shit howdy, I'll tell you whut!

Oh White Trash bars, how I love them so. Even when they are trying so hard, it still makes me giggle and I always enjoy my time in them. This one is so above and beyond over the top that you almost have to go just to check it out. It's bright, colorful and just an explosion of trailer park nostalgia, along with random carnival looking games and vintage signs and it really is pretty awesome. They also serve Sofia Coppola Champagne in the little cans with the straws that you can put in your purse and sneak into the theater across the street.

Yeah, who's klassy with a k now, bitches!

It was that time a year again to celebrate my birthday and I had asked my friend to find a place that was casual, fun and cheap and The Trailer Park Lounge was the ticket!  First off, to find a screen door in New York City is pretty far fetched but not when you are at the Trailer Park.  The atmosphere is great with White Trash treasures all around like a WT Marilyn Monroe portrait.  The Trailer Park even comes with Amy Whinehouse look-a-likes for servers!  I especially loved the Champagne in-a-can and the tater tots!  What topped it off was the Hostess Cupcake they brought out for me for my Birthday cake.  All and all it was a great time and the food was great for what you get (try the grilled cheese you will be surprised!).  So I have to thank Kyle for making my Birthday wish come true, he found a place that was casual, fun & cheap and we found it all at the Trailer Park!

This place get a 2.5 for food, 4 for location, 4.5 for the specials and 5 for originality.  I'm not Einstein but if you average everything up you get about three stars.  The decor of this place is a crack up.  If you go to the Chelsea movie theater on 23rd street, Trailer Park Lounge is located smack across the street and is worth stopping into for a quick drink, bite and conversation.  They also sell some cool amenities if you want to screw around like temporary tattoos and nudie pens.

Stopped by for lunch after walking around galleries all day. I ordered a veggie burger and tots.. which was delicious.  If you're here, order the tots. Mmmm. Anyway, the inside was tacky and fun.. which include Elvis items and lawn chairs. Also they have champagne in a can and moonpies on the menu.. need I say more?

I loved this bar from the time my sister and I met my friend in front. I'm a sucker for themed bars, and this takes the cake. Perhaps it was the lawn chairs, maybe the full-on tackiness, but I think it had to be the Elvis decor. Say what you will, but I grew up watching Elvis movie marathons during the summers, so I felt completely at home with his trinkets scattered around the bar.

I don't remember if the food or drinks were anything spectacular, but this place is definitely worth stepping into. And you never know. The screen door may just hit your cut-off jorts on your way out.

Trailer Park Lounge is a super lax white trash, circa 1950's thru 1970's bar and restaurant.

Great theme bar. Excellent collection of nostalgia all over this place.

Drinks could be taller and stronger and food could be less of a  grease selection.

Good meeting up place in Chelsea.

Wow, what an atmosphere.  Lots of old items from 60s/70s/etc.  I just had a Pabst and I got my girl a malibu bay breeze for like $10 which wasn't cheap but not too expensive.  If you like unique places, definately swing by.

The Trailer Park Lounge motto is - The Place To Meet Your Next "Ex!"

Not exactly the perfect place for singles, but a great place for a burger. Old fashioned comfort food that's greasy and messy...exactly how it should be. The low lighting and Elvis paraphernalia create the perfect atmosphere for casual, somehow "trendy" dining.

Tourists - it's a go.The trailer park theme makes for a unique and fun experience. It's one of the few "theme" restaurants in NYC that doesn't have the staff dress in cheap costumes and engage in dull theatrics.

And don't forget to take a photo by the trailer!

It's a PEOPLE friendly establishment - meaning, the food and drinks are not just affordable...they're cheap!

Three points alone for the decor. Sure, it's kind of trendy, or touristy, or whatevery, but I really like the old television (working!) that plays nothing but old Elvis shows. It does something for me, though there was a lack of wood-paneling that kept it from being perfect.

Friends and I went here for drinks and some nachos, and had a really great time. The service is not amazing, but they seemed a bit understaffed for how busy they were.

My biggest complaint? While the drinks are pretty strong, they are SO overpriced. $40 for a pitcher of Margaritas seems extremely steep to me, and I'm not a cheapskate. I regularly spend well above my means to satiate my foodie needs.

I'd be back with my parents, who would definitely appreciate the kitsch and would also foot the bill. Wink, wink.

Fun decor, Elvis on the tube, Moon Pies on the menu. Am I in heaven???

I was going to the movies on Easter, and spied this intriguing storefront across the street. I told my friend that I MUST get a picture of it! Alas, we had to stop in at a pharmacy, and the sun was setting so I lost the opportunity... however, the next night I went there for dinner!

I decided that my name was to be "Kitty," and I fit right in! Our waitress was "Hello My Name Is Ginger" and she had the bouffant, eyeliner thing going and was adorable and helpful.

I ordered a Mango Margarita that I was uninterested in finishing, and  a grilled cheese sandwich WITH bacon, thank you very much. It came with either sweet potato fries or tater tots. My friend got the tots so I opted for the spf's. Nothing unique, but perhaps I'm jaded.

Make sure you check out the bathroom when you go. It's fun!

Viva la kitsch!!

i can't believe this is actually listed as a "dive". if you try to dress your bar up as a dive, then you're definitely missing the point, dives occur naturally.anywho...where else in the city can you get champagne in a can? where i ask you? WHERE?!? now that i've gotten that out of the way...the drink prices are ridiculous...i recall the price of a pbr being something like 3 bucks.what gives?however...the place does have some good food.and oodles of elvis stuff.and you gotta love the toilet ashtray out front.

Yee Haw I am from Texas and this little dive bar can do Trailer Park Trash pretty darn good.

But good Lord they are proud of their food - yeah they serve TATER TOTS and MOON PIES yes Moon Pies are on the menu for something like 2.50. And of course they serve grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese (what trailer park wouldn't ?)  The one thing that is very good that you will not find in most Texas (anyway) Trailer Parks is Sweet Potato Fries and they go down great with a Jack and Coke..

I would move into this place and live on Tater Tots and Bourbon if I had not already moved out of the trailer park scene..

I usually take my Long Island friends to this place to get the night kicked off. They love it, me, well, its so-so.  The decor is amazing; stays true to its name but remains classy at the same time.  The food is nothing to speak of, except for the tater tots.  Something about them here that makes them so gosh-darn special and super tasty.

I've been here just standing at the bar when its dead. I've been here sitting at the tables with food ordered and the place crazy packed. This is the one place I may actually prefer the sitting in a crowded room aspect.  People seem to lose their inhibitions quick and the "talk show" seat is a great spot for entertainment.

I've swilled many a PBR in the Trailer Park Lounge, and I love this place. I got over the kitsch a long time ago. Sure, it would be nice to mix up the soundtrack a little and occasionally have the game on TV instead of the looped Honeymooners episodes, but that's what keeps such a "nitschy" place going after almost 6 years.

Some dishes are better than others (try a burger or the chili mac; skip the chicken sandwich). They have tasty PBR's and some decent tequilas to shoot. Skip the huge "specialty" drinks.

You simply MUST try the frozen margarita. It will knock you on your ass. I have a margarita scale for this place:

1 - Pound one of these and - faster than you can say "ice cream headache" - you're caught up with friends who've been sipping beers for hours.

2 - After 2 margaritas, you are definitely drunk (i.e. should not drive anywhere your stepdaddy ain't the sheriff).

3 - The hat trick is a guaranteed hangover. Do not pass 3 unless you're a professional Yelper or are unemployed (will assume these two classifications are mutually exclusive).

4 - Wish I could tell you. I'm pretty sure I've been here, but all testimony would be hearsay.

Margaritas aside, the real reason to come here is the staff. They're friendly, fun, almost like a little family (most have been here for years). As Matthew S says so well, they're "laid back without being brain dead." Unfortunately, this can manifest itself as inattentiveness when they're busy, as Suzanne G observes, but what more fitting place for a little 'tude than the Trailer Park?

This place is great!  Great and fun!  Bring some friends for a few drinks and look around at all the nostalgic remnants of our pop culture from the past few decades.

If you aren't nostalgic and don't ever want to see a hula girl lamp or the side of a trashy, crash trailer in a bar, THEN DON'T GO.  You won't have any fun and the people here might call you Nancy Reagan, or some such insult.

Folks, this is a particular type of genre.  They might actually serve food here and you might try to get a mixed drink, but the name says it all. TRAILER.  That's what you're getting. Enjoy.

My inner hillbilly was excited to come here, but it was left wanting...
The prices here are a little high considering the small portion size, and lackluster food. The sweet potato fries were delicious though, so I'm giving the Lounge 3 stars.
Our server completely forgot about us at one point, and almost made us late for our show at the UCB.
They do have PBR in a can, which is great, but the bartender was off talking to our inattentive waitress for 25 minutes so what good is that?
Overall it's a fun, kitschy place to bring out-of-towners, but I wouldn't make it a regular hangout.

Didn't eat, just drank but I had a good time doing that.
My football team showed up for a few beers after the game and then a few other teams followed, kind of monopolizing the place but the staff didn't flinch with the 30+ thirsty pseudo athletes. They poured beers like professionals and made us weekend warriors happy and a littled buzzed. Thanks Trailer Park!

My friends and I walked into Trailer Park with a bit of trepidation, as it was pretty much empty at 2pm on a Tuesday. The menu is pretty small, but all we were looking for were some sandwiches and the famed margaritas. And wow... at lunchtime, the first margarita you order is only $4. My frozen cup of goodness came out and I was initially a little put off at the size of the drink, as it was smaller than the huge margs I'm used to at Cactus Cantina. However, one sip changed my view on the size. Hands down, this margarita is the BEST I have EVER had in terms of  having the best flavor and packing such an incredible alcoholic punch. My burger was great, and the tots were good too, but wow, the margaritas... yum. The decor was fun! It definitely looked like a trailer park (complete with a trailer painting... maybe an actual trailer? tacked onto the wall). I will definitely be coming back here for some pregaming before a night on the town.

I stumbled upon the Trailer Park Lounge on one of these cold nights in which you hope to find a place that you've trying to go to so you can just eat and imbibe.

My friends and I decided to get this place out, and we thought we'll have a little problem with getting a seat, but we quickly were offered a seat towards that back of the place. I don't mind being out of the commotion that was going on near the bar, place me in the back and I'll enjoy it as much as those other people are.

As I said prior, the place was a bit crowded but just around the bar, for the obvious reasons, this didn't slow down service what so ever. Our waitress was very attentive, and kept checking up on us. The food came out minutes of us ordering it.

The food is classic American grease food: Tater Tots, Sloppy Joe's, Burgers, BLT, Sandwiches, Mac & Cheese and other classic fare. The atmosphere is trailer park-esque, reminds me of the late 60s - if I lived in that era, and tons of Elvis impersonator pictures.

My only gripe was the cost of beer. $4 for a can of PBR. Ugh, that defeats the purpose of having a PBR! $8 for a shot, yeah. Our bill was "magnificent" - but we shrugged it off, and figures it goes for the quick service.
Please for the love of PBR, make it at least $2.50 for a small can of PBR - or at least make it a tall boy!
I'll come back, but I need to save up for another PBR and shot night here.

What a cool bar. I don't really drink anymore, but I was with some drinkers who were in love with the cans of Pabst blue ribbon. I waslovin' the sweet potato fries. Those are killer....and the way this bar is decorated has been ripped off by so many others, but none as good as this one.

While there is a little bit of kitsch overkill factor going on here I really don't care.  I could sit in this place and eat tater tots, sweet potato fries and drink PBR until I'm 90 years old.  Then I'd switch to bourbon until I was dead.  They put just a sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar on the sweet potato fries which makes them fucking retarded!  And the tater tots!!  What?  I think they fry them in magic.  Had a little get together here around my bday and we all sat in the "bowling alley" up front and had a great time.  They owner is really cool and the bartenders are laid back without being brain dead.  It's not my favorite part of town but what a nice little oasis to chill in.

I've always felt like this is the city's homage to everything it is not.  The decor is just ridunkolously awesome with all of the trailer park paraphernalia that you'd find in the backwoods somewhere.  It's rarely possible to get seated upon first arrival, but our wait time this most recent visit wasn't bad.  We had barely time to finish the beers we ordered from the bar before a table was available.

I've only had the food here once, and I got the 'Serious Nachos' to share with a friend over a pitcher of margarita.  It was still happy hour, so our margarita was $30 instead of the usual $38!  The nachos were delicious!  It was a generous serving and a deal at about $10.

This is a great place when you want to get away from people who take themselves, NY or life too seriously.

We came for the first time today.  A lot of fun.  The best sweet potato fries I have ever had, bar none.  The grilled cheese was okay but came on a weird puffy bread that completely overwhelmed the delicious American cheese, tomato and bacon I asked for.  Peter had an open face steak sandwich.  Limited menu, lots of kitsch, but the food was very mediocre.  I have a feeling this place is a lot more fun when you're drunk.  I'd give it three stars for ambience but you can't eat the ambience, and after all, it's about food.  I didn't think the prices were very high but I did think they were a little over the top for what you get.  Love the whole vibe, but calling the bar area "tiki" is a bit of a stretch.  I will come back another time with a larger group and see how it is later in the evening.  So far, unimpressive food, fun place.

PS--they are out of the nudie-cutie pens STILL.  What a bummer.

I loved the decor and the rest was just fine.

They've got a choice of tots or sweet potato fries with any sandwich, and both are delicious!  My bacon cheeseburger was overwhelming with bacon and cheese (I actually had to remove some of both before I ate).  The champagne in a can is cute, but gross (altho I'm not a huge champagne lover anyway) but there's plenty on tap and a full bar.

It served a purpose and it was fun, but it's not going to be a regular destination.

The decor is so over-the-top ridiculous that I actually enjoy it. If you're a themed bar/restaurant in this genre you might as well go all out with your cheesy decor to make it fun to look around.

We ended up taking out the food here, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got back and opened my plate. The turkey burger was a little charred, but tasted great and was a generous size. It came with the tater tots that everyone has so raved about. They really are as good as a tater tot can possibly get. And they gave me a lot of them which I appreciated. I now have to come back here for drinks... and perhaps by the time you are reading this I already have.

Ok, this place is just plain silly.  But fun.

The margaritas are not the best, but it really isn't about the drinks here. It is about the crazy ass old bowling memorabilia and the the vintage 'Love Tester' machine in the front.

I was highly disappointed that they were out of the 'Nude Cutie pens'.  Please don't tease.

How apropos that we went and saw "The Hottest State" across the street at the theater before coming to the Trailer Park where a scene in the movie was filmed!!  Check out the scene where the main character talks to his mom (Laura Linney) in a bar...they are sitting in the booth with her back facing the wall!!  Good stuff.

If you like Tater Tots, Sweet Potato Fries, Hot Dogs and Burgers...this is your place.  AND...if you're really into Pabst Blue Ribbon, you'll be even MORE excited to eat here!

Awesome OFF THE WALL blended margaritas (try the mango...it'll knock you sideways but you won't taste it till you fall over...)

Great vibe, voted one of America's Top 5 Kitschy places to visit!!  Cool for groups or a place to stop at before heading out to another...

Lighten up.  This is the perfect place to have a cheap meal with a few good friends in a fun, outrageous setting.  They don't profess to have to the best cuisine, but honestly a burger, beer, and fries or tater tots for $8 (Mon. and Tues.) in the city is still a great deal!  Our waitress was nice and attentive, the sweet potato fries were fresh and crispy with just the right amount of salt, and the burger was slightly anemic but still ok.  When you find yourself feeling jaded and taking life too seriously, Trailer Park offers enough novelty to snap you out of it!

I lived around the corner for years, so I shacked up here at least a dozen times when I wanted a decent burger and didn't want to walk all the way to Corner Bistro.

The food is decent, not great, but that's not why you come here--the place is just plain fun.

Service is quite spotty.  Generally pretty good, but I had a couple memorably bad experiences with the pretentious, hipster wait staff.

In short, it's great for a solid burger on short notice with friends.

Oh, Trailer Park. You are smutty and kitschy and probably disease filled, just like your namesake.

My company through a launch party here, and it was hilarious. The private party was complete with an open bar and cocktail waitresses that served up little bowls of tater tots, mac and cheese, and sliders. The margaritas are lethal, too.

I decided a few weeks later to have my birthday party at the Park. I was sick of the ounst-ounst bars and the lines, and just wanted a funny place for my 40 closest friends to gather and get sloppy in honor of moi. We all had a blast, and Tom the owner is very accommodating.

The only draw back was the lack of good and loud music. For a Trailer Park themed bar, there was not nearly enough white trash dancing or STD spreading.
