Transferring as a customer of DirecTV of almost 24 years. Since they merged with AT&T they've sucked. Is Xfinity a better option? I never had problems with AT&T either until they merged with DirecTV. Is Xfinity better with Internet, phone, etc?

I went into the Comcast service location in Stockton on 07/04/15 after my bill went up dramatically and after speaking to customer service on the phone but basically being told there was nothing they could do except downgrade my service. I unhooked both my boxes and went into the store fully expecting to either cancel or downgrade dramatically. I waited just a couple of minutes and was helped by Raul. I cannot say enough good things about Raul. He was extremely helpful, kind, attentive, and saved me as a customer. I ended up with a much better package and saved money. An excellent employee that changed my opinion about Comcast completely. He even took the time after he was done helping me to help my mother who was with me upgrade and lower her bill as well. long wait times. like extremely long. ugh. even with an appointment we waited about 90 mins.. So Service could be better. They really need more help on this, or at least take timed appointments priority.
That being said, the rep (I think his name was Baldo or something like that?) he really made it on the customer service, super friendly, knew what he was talking about, but he did have to look up a current promo. But I look forward to trying to deal with him again, he was very friendly, and just pleasant to talk to... But when we did finally get some help the guy was super friendly, and nice, that being said some of the other staff did not seem to like it there, just a stated what I see.

I know appointments are not right on time but they should be within 15 minutes of your appointment time please don't be rude if your customer service you have to overlook ignorant people I know some people get irate but if you work for Xfinity you can do it I really like Xfinity it's it's better than T-Mobile.

Came in. Waited in line. Took Comcast equipment home and power cord was not compatible to equipment. Returned to store 20 minutes later and was not taken care of. Had to wait n line again. They make the mistake and the customer has to wait in line for their mistake.

We had to google them and the are actually across the street. My wife's name is four fucking letters. Waited an extra half a fucking hour becuase you people either can't read or can't spell. Would've waited longer if I hadn't said anything. Over a fucking hour later just to pick up my fucking Internet box. This place is fucking ridiculous

Let's see - one service center for 324,000 people here in Stockton. And you can't make an appointment. Bring your own easy chair, because you'll be waiting for up to an hour or so before you're helped. But you can show up around 8 or 9 in the morning and stand outside until it opens at 10.
I was able to make an appointment in Lodi. Went there to find that if there are folks ahead of you, they still go first. I asked the manager how their appointment policy worked. He said I'd have to wait and they'd get to me when they could.
And all this was just to return a defective box. If you want a receipt, you have to wait. I ended up going online and printing out a return label. I went in the store on February 6th 2023 to get the latest modem, I didn't realize until later that they gave me the wrong one. While the store the sales person convinced me to switched phone companies, while keeping my phone numbers. At the time I ordered the new Samsung galaxy s23 plus and Samsung A03s, both had to be delivered, I only paid fee of 21.06 I believe each. This was a long process, I was there 1:45 minutes.
To end up emailing him that he ordered the wrong samsung galaxy s23, had to back in store to fix and change the modem. The modem was a nightmare, once connected it had other devices on it that couldn't be removed even with help from customer service which was another 2 hours of nonsense and trying to get me to get other service's. It was awful. Received A03S on February 12th and samsung s23 plus on 17th of February. Went in on February 18th to switch, now the sales rep said it would be better to upgrade the A03s to samsung galaxy s23 with a deal of buy one get one half of meaning I would pay less. So we did. He said because we received the phone through mail we would have to return it through mail to get a refund and to make sure I get a tracking number. Which I did. Now today chatted with an Xfinity representative on my app. Which took and hour. I never received a refund, 653.99. In the chat he was trying to make go to a link to see questions and answers. For what I don't know, I didn't acknowledge. The response was that the 653.99 was only a hold not a purchase, to contact my credit card company which I did and in just ten short minutes filed a dispute claim because they DEFINITELY CHARGED MY CARD!!! By the way phone service is crap, DON'T RECOMMEND AT ALL FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE!!!!!

This store needs some accountability when it comes to the attitude and honesty of their staff.
I was met with a front desk worker who outright LIED to me about the availability of a router despite the customer service agents over the phone confirming stock of my router was available. I was actually instructed to come to this specific store for a pick up but was told to wait 45 minutes IN STORE for a follow up. I politely asked to call me when my spot in the line queue was up and the man just said "nah, NEXT!".
The sheer incompetency and rudeness of this staff is sad. If you don't like your job then please make a personal change, you don't need to project and ruin my day because you don't like what you do.
For other customers reading this who are dealing with the same issue, I suggest a different store or just calling customer service for any orders. The contracted workers in India who are underpaid prove to be more helpful and much nicer than this location's staff. Not only that, shipping out equipment to you is free.
