I've never really stayed at a timeshare spot before but this was pretty amazing. The location was super excellent, pretty much right by Kalakaua Ave and next to the Outrigger, Halekulani and other hotels. There are lots of restaurants downstairs and the beach is basically 3 minutes away.

The rooms are huge and I love the bath tub in the master bedroom. We had a bunch of people stay in one room so it would've been nice if the shower in the master had more privacy... like the toilet did.

But the kitchen area was equipped with stoves, fridge, utensils, coffee maker, etc. It really was a home away from home.

We also had to ask for more toiletries and towels and housekeeping was very quick to respond to our needs.

The valet guys are super friendly too. Parking is $30 a day if you're a hotel guest, it's pretty pricey but it's convenient!

I also liked the game room area with pool and ping pong. They also have a big pool and a hot tub.

The best thing about this place is the location.  Really, you can't beat the location.

It's close to the beach and other hotels.  Which is good because what pool there is, is in the shade much of the day.  There is no onsite bar/lounge/restaraunt.  Which is extra lame because a cocktail would really help smooth the edges of your irritation at the constant time share pitch.

Plus, our room had roaches.  Nice.

This place is OK I suppose. I would give them 3 stars but the last few times I have been here there have been some crucial mistakes that dropped my rating to 2 stars.

First mistake was that the jets in the tub in the master bathroom weren't working and the bathtub constantly drained. FAIL.

Second mistake was the speaker covers to the radio were actually glued on and were constantly falling off.

Third mistake was that the fan in the master bedroom was not working and when we came to check in, keep in mind now that we were a good 30 minutes past check in time, a maintenance guy was in our room fixing a closet door! Seriously, you HAVE to check out at 10am sharp, follow this long laundry list of stuff to do or face the consequences, yet they can have maintenance guys in there when you check in? No, that is NOT okay.

Seriously, for a time share where hundreds of dollars in monthly maintenance fees are paid, you would think the least they could do is have everything in working order. Guess not. Oh well.

Then even when you own a time share and pay monthly maintenance fees, you still have to pay taxes to stay in something that YOU own. WTF is that? Then they also make you pay $30 a day for parking. So what the hell is the point of owning a time share? It would be cheaper to just rent a freaking room anytime you wanted a staycation. FAIL.

The reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because they have great customer service and they are located in a very choice spot in Waikiki. I guess if you were just gonna go here on vacation it would be a good place to stay, but if you owned a timeshare here you will find yourself terribly dissapointed in what they give you for what you pay.

I still love this place, but my jets in the tub of my master suite weren't working so I'm taking off a star.  Boo hoo.

Originally, I stayed in a one bedroom deluxe and it was everything I needed it to be the first two times.  This weekend, I stayed in a two bedroom deluxe, and it, too, was everything it needed to be, the exception being the tub.

We got to bake cookies, drink some beers and cocktails, warm up some leftovers, and watch the kids and dogs play in the fountain across the street in front of the Yard House.  This location is so superb.  Grabbing some drinks and doing some shopping is so easy since you can pretty much walk anywhere and everywhere you want to go.

Wyndham has a standard across the board at all of their resorts and they are really good at maintaining it.  Everything is pretty predictable - washer/dryer, full kitchen, all the amenities, and friendly staff.

    TIPS:

    - If you have military privileges, parking at Fort De Russy can save you some mad cash on parking if you're willing to make the walk

    - Round Table pizzas are available for free delivery to your room from Giovanni's downstairs with an additional 10% discount

    - The preview center gives discount on parking or Amex gift cards if you accept their offer to try and sell you on buying their timeshare, no purchase required, but be prepared to say "no" endlessly

    - Check in is at 4pm (unless your VIP, then its 2pm) and Check out is at 10am

    - Open the freezer and turn the ice maker on as soon as you get to the room so you don't have to go buy ice

I was delighted to find a 1-Bedroom Suite available at the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk when I was booking my hotel. I was even happier when I realized that my suite have 2 balconies! Woohoo... (That's where my happiness ended.. sorta)

STAFF: Super friendly and accommodating staff. I arrived earlier than their regular check-in time and the staff accommodated me and set me up on one of the available rooms.

ROOM: It's the normal setup with Wyndham properties. 1-Bedroom Suite included a living room with pullout sofa, kitchen, washer, dryer, a bedroom with King Bed, and 1 bath. Seems a little worn down and I hated the furniture. Seems like the furniture were too big for the living room and I keep bumping into the dining table.

    PROS:
    - Minutes from Waikiki Beach, you are 1 block away from the beach.

    CONS:
    - Lower Level Balconies - Err... You would think it's cool to have 2 balconies, right? Yea... Only if you like starring at the parking structure across from the hotel.
    - Lower Water Pressure - Geez... I want a strong shower and not something that goes drip drip drip.
    - $30/day parking. If you decided to not get a rental car, you can arrive Wyndham by riding Roberts Hawaii for $9 one-way to and from HNL or $15 Roundtrip.
    - BAR downstairs - Open 9p-4a (Good luck sleeping if you are on the lower levels)

If you are traveling by bus, you can reach most bus by walking 2 blocks north to Kuhio. My room was on the 3rd floor and I had the hardest time sleeping because the live band/music downstairs was CRAZY LOUD! If I ever come back to this location, I will definitely ask for room in the upper floors!

My friend got upgraded to a Presidential Suite at the Wyndham and asked if we wanted to stay with him for a few days in Waikiki. Free hotel staycation? Hells to the yeah yeah!!!

Located right on the new Beachwalk, in the heart of Waikiki, the Wyndham was surprisingly pretty swanky! I really half expected it to be a hole but my BF had gone on a recon mission to make sure it was Emi H worthy. And indeed it was! The suite was two floors with a living room/kitchen/dining area downstairs as well as a full bath & bedroom. Upstairs there was a long hallway which had an outdoor lanai entrance, small study area and at the end, the Master bedroom. What I loved the most about the Master was the gigantic bathroom complete with giant jacuzzi tub. Like I said, hells to the yeah yeah!!! My kiddies were so stoked about the jacuzzi and I had them swim in there until they turned into the California Raisins!

There's a fold out couch in the living room so you have sleeping arrangements for 6 total as well as a full granite counter kitchen. Definitely the way to go if you're planning a long trip to Hawaii. Looking forward to more staycations and hopefully next time we won't have to leave early because of a Tsunami warning!

Pro: Convenient location. Nice and clean rooms. Quiet rooms if you are above 5th floor. Many amenities in the room.

Con: small pool. No maid service as they promised. Always pressuring on timeshare seminar - this will take 3hrs or more and not 90minutes as they promised. Only go to those seminar if you have time or NOT willing to sign anything they ask you to do, unless you really want to buy time share. Parking is expensive $30/day valet only. Cloths dryer takes about 3hrs to dry a small load.

This was a great choice. Our 2 bedroom (ADA accessible) suite was roomy and nice. No view tho on the 4th floor. It can be noisy at times but sleeping with good earplugs helps with that! We could hear the music from the nightclub when it was open but rearely heard voices, TVs or noise from other units. The beachwalk is a busy place and is "place to be".

We had 4 lanais, washer/dryer (and yes, the dryer does take a long time to dry things... big deal!). Fully stocked kitchen utensils, pans, etc. Fridge with icemaker and so on. The beds are very nice. The bathrooms are roomy and our 2 bedroom could easily sleep 8 people with two on the pull out and two in each of the standard beds in the second bedroom. The elevators are fast and there's rarely a wait of more than a minute on the fourth floor.

The resort has several events throughout the week. They are a timeshare so if you go to the concierge desk and ask for info, you might be talking to someone who will tell you the benefits of going to a timeshare presentation. The information was good though.

Buy an "http://Entertainment.com" book before coming here. If you use it once you'll make back the money you spent on the book.

The pool is not a resort pool. It is small and deep. Not the best for young kids by themselves, but each day the blow up a small inflatable pool for the young'uns.

The "game room" has two parts, one part has a pool table, ping pong table and foosball table. The other part has four flat panel TVs and video game systems hooked up to each. You can get the controllers and a choice of different games from the front desk at no charge. PS3(?), XBox, and two Wii.

The workout room is nice and has quite a few machines. The beach is only a 5 minute walk, basically down the street towards the beach and straight through the Outrigger Hotel (or to the side of the hotel on a sidewalk if you want a more mundane journey).

Good restaurants abound near the hotel and everything it within an easy walk, including Int'l Marketplace.

The staff of the hotel is excellent. Housekeeping replaced our dirty linens within 10 minutes of calling (wow!) and remember that this in a timeshare so no daily cleanup from housekeeping. Free clothes washing soap, coffee, leamonade mix, etc is included with just a smile to the front desk personnel.

They also provide beach/pool towels. When you come back from the beach just trade them for clean ones at the front desk or pool area. There's even a DVD rental machine in the lobby for your sitting area TV DVD player.

Considering all this, and the fact we got this deal for $1000/wk in July, we couldn't have been happier... well, actually, I'm sure we could have had we stayed inthe Sheraton's penthouse with a round the clock butler and massage therapist.

This is a review of the presidential suite.  Its on the 14th floor of the hotel.  When I walked in my first impression was "hey this is pretty cool" after giving the place a once over...............checked out upstairs, the bathrooms my second impression was "really? a presidential suite"

I thought there should be more to it, the floors were dirty and the walls were quite dinged up.  still cool to have.

We are owners here and LOVE it!! We reserved the 2 bedroom suite. There was enough room for 8 people because of the sofa in the living room and the 2 beds in the 2nd room. We had the corner suite so there was a lanai in every room! It was PERFECT!!
The place is beautiful!!! Very clean and the people who work there are very friendly!
We decided to extend our stay and they were able to accomodate us with no problems.
It's located in a newer part of Waikiki and walking distance to the beach. We love it...its home away from home! Can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I were gifted with a week stay here for our honeymoon, and we had a fabulous time.

Our one-bedroom suite had a good-sized refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, large bathroom with whirlpool tub, a fluffy, super comfy king-sized bed and two small balconies facing different areas of the Beachwalk. There was a washer/dryer in the room (a HUGE plus for planning what to pack and packing less overall!).

I have to admit that there was no need to rent a car with a location like this - which saved us their crazy $25/day valet charge. We walked to the beach(es), restaurants, shops and more and had a great experience planning a couple excursion trips through the guest services desk in the lobby. Plus, parking is crazy in Waikiki so I'd advise you to skip the car altogether (unless you plan on driving to North Shore or other areas).

    Only negatives:
The pool is puny and in a horrible location, between the hotel and a very ominous parking structure. (We stuck with the gorgeous beach about a block away.)

Housekeeping only comes once per week, supposedly. (Ours never came at all) and we were confused as to if we were supposed to schedule it or something. A little strange but a non-issue in the end.

Overall, staying here made things easy and convenient, which is what we wanted on our honeymoon. They left us alone and didn't push any sales presentations on us since we told them it was our honeymoon (and we all know how timeshare presentations are), so that was nice.

Would I stay here again? Sure...but I'm also eager to stay at The Royal Hawaiian that beckoned us in with its gorgeous views and yummy drinks on several occasions - right next door.

Compared to Marriotts Ko Olina, this is a dump. For renters this is comparative to a mediocre 3 Star hotel. Its location is a slam dunk, but I'm still unsatisfied of the size of the 1BR. The living room is as big as the bathroom (albeit the bathroom is big). We just transferred from a 1BR at Outrigger Reef; no comparison...I did get a good deal, so as the saying goes "you get what you paid for" is the theme of the week. :-) aloha! Mahalo :'-(

I like the idea of renting a condo versus a regular hotel room when you have a big traveling group.  It's more cost efficient.  To serve 7 people, a two-bed condo with a pull-out bed, kitchen, living room and washer/dryer will run about $250-300/night.  Three separate hotel rooms will total $600 average.  You do the math.

This Wyndham is in a very convenient location; smack in the heart of Waikiki.  The beach, like everyone says, is just minutes away.  But the more beautiful beaches will need a car or a long bus ride to get to.

Customer service is top-notch.  Everybody was extremely nice and will address anything should you have any problems.

Now here are the cons of this place.  Despite the fact it was built in 2007, so making it less than 5 years young, this place seems kind of worn-out.  The furnishing is of old Hawaiian style, the walls had many scruff marks, some base boards are chipped and you can see that it was made of particle boards.  No granite kitchen counter top, no stainless steel appliances.  The builders, in attempt to reduce cost, went for the cheapest with everything.  I've been over at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and that place is really nice.

The pool is acceptably clean but rather not kid-friendly.  It's a small pool with no shallow area for kids to comfortably play.  It's 5' at the "shallow" end and quickly dips to 7' at the other end.  I can't swim so I have to keep my kid close to the steps so we won't go down together.

Lastly, the bar downstairs will play until 4am.  Although it seems very lively and fun in there, I feel bad for the people sleeping directly atop.  They play music pretty loud.  Luckily we stayed on the 7th floor but have to walk by the bar to get to the elevator every night to return to our room.

So I conclude that I will stay here again FOR THE RIGHT PRICE.

We just got back from our 5 day stay in Hawaii. The Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk (WWBW) was just lovely.

We rented the two bedroom deluxe condo from someone on http://www.vrbo.com for about $250 per night.  We had 6 adults and 1 toddler. They are strict about occupancy levels in Waikiki, so it was difficult for me to find an affordable place that was clean and close to everything.

I'm so glad I found WWBW.

WWBW is a timeshare hotel, in that you rent rooms/condos out from timeshare owners and then the hotel sends you the confirmation paperwork and handles your stay. This was our first time to stay at a timeshare, so it took a little adjusting.

Room: Our room was so pretty. It had two bedrooms. The master bedroom was HUGE. And so tastefully decorated. The Hawaiian theme was evident, but not overwhelming. It had a king size bed, flat screen TV, ample drawer space, separate shower from the toilet, and---drum roll---a jacuzzi spa that could comfortably accomodate 3 people. The guest bedroom had two double beds, a flat screen tv, closet, and drawer space. The guest bathroom had a shower/tub combo. The living room had a pull out couch, a flat screen tv, dining set for 6 people, a full kitchen (stocked with just about everything), and a washer/dryer combo. Granted, timeshares don't work like hotels in that you don't get daily maid service or room service, but you can have towels/toiletries brought up or food delivered by local restaurants.

Hotel: The hotel had a concierge, pool, activities room (billiards, internet, ping pong, arcade, foosball table, and chess/checker tables). Most mornings, there was an activity briefing with a complimentary continental breakfast. Monday nights (I believe) had a manager's greeting party with drinks, music, and a lei greeting. Perk: we checked out on Monday morning, but our flight wasn't until 10pm. The hotel let us keep our things in their storage area and lent us a room for showering, so we could hit the beach, but still freshen up before our flight. They gave us 15 minutes per person. So, we actually had a little over an hour to use their "hospitality room." Nice perk.

Location: This is in the middle of everything! You're about a block away from the beach (10 minute walk), steps away from shopping, a couple of blocks from the International Market, and steps away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Given that it's so close to the action, you'd think it would be noisy within your room, but not so. We all slept quite well.

Downside: The only downside to this hotel is that it's a timeshare hotel, and there is a dedicated group of people hell bent on selling you a timeshare. Now, it's easy enough to avoid them or just say no. However, if you're a pushover like me, you end up saying yes so that you don't have to feel so guilty everytime they see you in the lobby. They do, however, compensate you for the 1 1/2 presentation. You get $100 off the valet parking, or as a gift certificate for a restaurant, or as a voucher for an acitivity of your choice (luau, parasailing, snorkeling, and so on). We said yes initially, but backed out at the last minute.

    Parking: $25/day

    Aloooooooooooha!!

Right smack in the middle of Waikiki you'll find this vacation time share, while I list it as a Hotel, it really isn't one for the average Joe off the street.  You have to belong to this vacation group to enjoy this little treasure.

Views are either of the pool or the Waikiki beach walk area, we were lucky to get the latter.  Even with the bustling night life below we didn't hear a peep and slept like a log!  The rooms are all newly remodeled and still have the "new car" smell in them.  Thankfully for us poor folk from the Pacific NW, this 89+ degree weather has been wilting our pin feathers, to our rescue has been the solid icy cold AC and ceiling fans.

Staff here has been amazing!  Most timeshares you have to move your own luggage and park your own car, not here!  This really feels like a true hotel with Bell Captain and parking valet!  Check in was a breeze and staff really make you feel welcome.

Minus one star for the difficult access to the actual parking garage and the lack of sign-age to the hotel and garage.

While this isn't on the beach, it does have it's own access and beach rights.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom presidential suite and it was pure awesomeness!  The master bedroom had a nice sized bathroom with a jacuzzi that we all enjoyed. Especially our kids.  The lanai was huge since it was connected to both rooms and the living room.  It was spotless clean, nice, modern decor, flat screen tv's in the 2 rooms and living room, comfy beds, washer/dryer (we actually came home with clean clothes!), fully stocked kitchen made it great to cook and the location was perfect.  All of the workers were super friendly and we just loved our stay here.  I was also engaged here so I have a lot of love for the Wyndham :)

This timeshare hotel made my vacation SOOO enjoyable.  The 2 bedroom suite we got was awesome.  It was clean, nicely decorated, new and best of all gorgeous.  We had views of the strip so it was pleasant.  They are located right in the middle so it was so convenient to go out.  We were walking distance to the shops, beach and restaurant.  I really enjoyed this hotel and we got it for a bargain deal from a timeshare owner on Craigslist.  I would definately try to stay there again for my next visit to Honolulu.

The only thing was the washer/dryer machine.  I had a hard time getting my clothes to dry.  But they still deserve a 5 star.

Very nice bell hop staff.  Check in staff need a few days of customer service training though or maybe our flight was too long.  Lol  Our home resort is the Grand Desert in Las Vegas and we are very spoiled with their rooms and cleanliness.  Our 2 bedroom/2 bath deluxe at Beach Walk had dirty handprints on the walls and caulk missing in the tiles around the jet tub.  Kinda has a cleaned up Motel 6 feeling to it.

Parking is valet only and is $30 a night.  Bleh.  If the valet saves his tips he might be able to buy a personality because he lost his somewhere

Also,  guests sneak their dogs in....theyre not service animals, just pets, so if youre sensitive to animal dander you may have an issue.  Im only mad cuz we ledt our googie at home with gramma but we coulda snuck his 4 lb butt in....we just werent ballsy enuff to do it lol

I never though I would own a timeshare, but it was hard to turn down a chance to own a piece of prime real estate in Waikiki.  The hotel is located on Lewers Street in the middle of the new Waikiki Beach Walk development.  On one end of the street is Waikiki Beach and bustling  Kalakaua Street on the other end with all of its shops, restaurants and night life.

The hotel itself is very nice.  We've stayed there twice, once in a 1-bedroom suite and a second time in a 2-bedroom suite when we brought family along with us.  The rooms are nice and spacious with a TV in the living room and both bedrooms.  We went to Safeway and stocked up on groceries to take advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen. We also never ran out of clean clothes as we had a washer/dryer in the unit.

The hotel also has activities throughout your stay, from leigh making to ping pong tournaments to meet-and-greet mixers.  There's also a large  pool on the premises if you don't feel like doing the 3 to 4-minute walk to the beach.

If you're lucky enough to get a chance to rent a unit from an owner, take advantage of it. The central location and the well-equipped rooms can't be beat!

My first time dealing renting a timeshare. (Btw, some of these timeshare resellers suck!) The property is nice, but they really need to put a sign on the building and a much bigger sign on the entrance.

First off, Google maps is wrong about the address. It's on the other side of Lewers. Had to circle the reported location 2 times before I finally called the hotel. Even after speaking with the operator, it took another 2 times to find the valet entrance. It's hidden!

The rooms are very well kept and fully stocked with all sorts of things you'll need for your stay. Down to the dish washing detergent! (details, details) The property is nice, but the pool is small. Yes, the view sucks. But what were you expecting, romantic sunsets while viewing the sun set over the garage parking? Wireless access is free and it is slow. But you do get what you pay for.

Great location, which is central to a lot of the higher end shopping areas. P.s. The video game room and ping pong table was a lot of fun.

We had a timeshare and it is perfect! I love that we had the option to cook if we wanted and especially, do our laundry. Sweating everyday is and showering twice a day is really tiring... This place is a  couple blocks from Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and International Market and a block away from the beach. Pool, Hot tub, super nice desk agents that called us her kids and gave us nice discounts, a view, king size bed, jacuzzi, and at a prime location. AWESOME!! hahah :D

I'm giving it 4 stars but it's not an enthusiastic 4 stars, but I did like it here.

We rented this timeshare from a vacation club, for a week stay.

First off, the room was great.  Everything was comfortable and no major things wrong with the room.  The tub is large and has jets.  The full kitchen is nice, and we liked the electric tea kettle.

The view from our room was nothing to write home about, but I don't take points off for that.  The pool someone said was large, but I would rate it as average, and no jacuzzi.

The location is excellent, and it's near everything. The staff was helpful and courteous.  One nitpick is that it's so close and dense here it's a little hard if you want to take a cab somewhere else (we didn't rent a car).  It's not a hotel with a taxi stand, and there's no place for a cab to even wait to pick you up unless they go up the secret driveway up to the valet garage ramp.

My biggest beef is that the free Wayport Internet wifi is a joke.  I never saw peak downloads more than around 150kBps, and during the evenings it would poke along at at an average 20-40kBps.   I got better download speeds on my 3G iPhone. Wireless coverage is poor, and I would see constant timeouts.  I know, it's a tropical resort, what are you doing on the Internet?  But if you care about this sort of thing, it's something you need to consider.  Don't expect to take a working vacation here unless you bring your own data card.

Also, another tip if you do say here and want to do your own cooking.  There's pretty much no grocery store nearby apart from high priced tourist markets.  Rent a car or take a cab to get your groceries.

We did suffer through the hard timeshare sell and got our gift certificate.  The package seemed OK (once you got through several rounds of "okay here's our final discount").  My biggest beef for me personally was that I don't really vacation as much in the US anymore and Wyndham is pretty much US-only (plus Canada/PR/Guam/etc).  I would need to trade my points (with fees) for international stays and their partner's coverage in Asia (where I want to go) is fairly poor.

I rented a 1 bedroom deluxe timeshare at The Wyndham from a timeshare owner that I found online. For the price I paid, which was much cheaper than other crappy hotels in Waikiki, I was extremely impressed with The Wyndham! Sure we overlooked a parking lot, but the furnishings and decor of the room were very nice. There was a soaker tub with jets, washer and dryer for laundry, dishwasher, and all the tools to prepare a meal if you so desire! Towels were provided for use at the pool and there was a small gym with free weights and cardio equipment to work off some of that delicious Hawaiian food you've eaten. The best part of The Wyndham is the LOCATION! It is located on the Waikiki Beach Walk in the heart of Waikiki, central to everything and a 5 min walk to the beach. I definitely recommend staying here!

We found a guy on craigslist we got an awesome deal on a 1br suite for 6 days. Everything was real nice and new. I didn't like the cheap non absorbent paper towels and towels. Come on!

    The location is great.

We stayed at the Ala Moana Hotel for 7 days prior. I loved that hotel, the rooms are beautiful. We moved due to the inconvenient location.  While we were near things more, i found the waikiki beach to be really rough when you have a toddler. The Ala Moana Beach by the hotel is very shallow and calm.

I would definitely stay here again next time. We checked out a bunch of hotels and the rooms prior to getting the wyndham. I don't know if it's me but the other places were nasty. NASTY!! i was freaked out looking at the room - Aqua hotels, Marriott, Sheraton Waikiki, Sheraton Outrigger, Royal Hawaiian, Ohana...gross, gross, gross.

Thanks to Joyce Fahey we now have a timeshare property located in Kauai.  Bali Hai Villas to be exact.  Thank you very much!!!  PS. The Waikiki location is very nice.  Conveniently located around multiple shops and restaurants.  Loved it!  Even the valet attendants were great.  My kids had tons of fun!!!
