Cool, quirky coffee shop in downtown Asheville. Hit this place a few times on our New Year's Eve trip. Definitely worth a visit. Go exploring and find all of the little nooks for sitting/eating/working/etc.

Great atmosphere. I found the staff very friendly. I had a very tasty cafe au lait and my wife had a delicious cafe mocha.
I was very surprised to see the bad reviews. We didn't eat anything, but the food looked good. I especially liked the artwork and the ability to browse around the connected shops. -

Go to this place if you like to grab your straw after it is practically thrown at you, reach across the counter to collect your drink because the barrista is too concerned with talking with a coworker to hand it to you and if you like asking for things twice.
As far as coffee shops go, I've been to many others that have much more personality and customer service. On the plus side, the seating is ample and we found this nice private nook beside a window that overlooked Wall Street. -

As someone else said this little coffee place had great "nooks and crannies" where you can sit, but that is the only good thing about it.
Coffee is nothing special, cakes are not great, staff are rude and slow, very slow. Nothing like the Old Europe that used to be there.
I think the staff need to be trained by someone from Kilwins as their staff are excellent and so polite. -

The dessert (a white chocolate torte-like creation), while tasty, had that "I've been cut and sitting in a dry refrigerator a few days" aftertaste.
Cappuccinos were good, but something like $3.75 each. For the area, that seemed a bit steep. -
Review from Tony L.
Get coffee here. Don't get anything else. Their desserts are pretty awful...nothing compared to what Old Europe used to offer at this location. The only appeal is the outdoor seating where you can read a book, talk with friends or just sip some coffee. The staff is just about as bad as you can get....just maybe one notch up from fast food service.
Meh...don't seek it out as a destination...Asheville has so much more to offer. -

Very hard to pick up their wifi signal. Other than that, it's a pretty hip place.

If you are looking for a place for lunch this is not it. It is way over priced and the sandwiches not much different than you would make at home.
Coffee was fine but nothing to write home about. Outdoor seating is nice. -

The coffee was good. I must have missed any balcony because the place I saw was a little small.

I haven't had their desserts, but they don't have the best coffee. It was typical.
