Review from Keith M.
Woodside, CA
Our whole family loves the Woodside Tennis Shop. We buy every tennis item we need there, shoes, racquets, balls, clothes, etc. Bill and Hope are wonderful people that have created a great tennis shopping experience. They always have time to explain and discuss any issue you have. We are loyal customers for life.

Fabulous service, racket stringing, clothes and accessories, plus the best customer service around. Bill and Hope really know their stuff. Plus regardless of what sport is on the shop TV, Bill can offer up his insights so I come out more informed and often entertained.

The customer service at Woodside Tennis Shop is superb. They are so friendly and remember you on repeat visits. Don't you hate it when you regularly patronize a business, interact with the same people, and every time it's as though they've never seen you before?
The shop is small, but has what I need. I recommend their demo program; I've been trying out racquets for the last couple of months and have it narrowed down to my two top choices. Bill has been most helpful during the process. They keep notes of what you like or don't about each racquet and help you choose the best racquet for you.
I can't imagine ever going any place else for my tennis needs. -

This is a first class tennis shop. Bill and Hope are totally service oriented. Also on almost every occasion the racquets that Bill strings have a noticeably better feel than the frames that i might have other shops string up for me. I love that i have The Woodside Tennis Shop as a resource for my tennis needs.

The glory days of American tennis are in the past but this store remains fine and well in the midst of ultra-rich Woodside. People don't need to go to the local school to play, they have their own courts. It fact, I don't know of any other small, specialty tennis shops any more except for Bill and his group.
He will fit you to a racket, sell you tennis balls or tennis clothes and although I think they lost some space in the Bakery remodel, they seem to be making enough money to continue. But how they stay in business has always made me wonder with the rent they must have to pay. It is a really valuable piece of rental property between Bucks and the Bakery.
Go on Bill, keep it going old dude. -
Review from K.E. B.

There's nothing new to add to prior reviews except to confirm that it's still just as good. We've purchased racquets and had quite a bit of stringing done here, all with excellent results.
Bill is terrific at asking questions and giving informed advice based upon playing style and ability. Much different than some of the larger golf/tennis places, and without the premium pricing you might expect from a boutique. -
Review from Norman B.
Glen Ellen, CA
Bill has the patience of a saint as I demo'd countless rackets. He recorded all my thoughts and so could guide the whole process. There really is a difference between rackets and his range covers all the main models from the main brands as well as some lesser known brands. The service is excellent and I couldn't recommend the Woodside Tennis Shop more highly.

Well, just got my second racket a Babolat Pure Drive Anniversary edition. Again, just popped in looking at new frames and mentioned that I was looking at some demoing. The frames I looked for were all out, but Hope kept a note and after 2 weeks got a followup call that they were available. I was able to take both frames out to try and was sold on this new frame. Called Bill, gave him the specs and he explained a lot of stringing options and was really thorough and patient. Within a day, my new frame was ready to go and was exactly what I wanted. And I know the string job will last a long time. Those two make it too easy to get new equipment.

This small, family-owned shop is where I go for all of my tennis equipment needs. Their selection is limited, but they carry all of the major brands and products and are willing to place special orders. Their customer service is outstanding; they even remembered my name!

Hope and Bill are great problem solvers and bend over backwards to find the right gear for anyone who graces their doors.. They have a great demo program as well. We are new to the area and new customers for them (but longtime tennis players); I unhesitatingly give them top marks across the board.
