Woodbury Ski Area
3 reviews for Woodbury Ski Area
I can't speak for the actual skiing here, seeing as how I've never been (yes, crazy, I know...). But, I heard that they had snow tubing, so I brought a certain someone here on a date last month.
The snow tubing course itself was all right. It had a lot of twists and turns, and it was mildly fast in a spot or two, but overall it wasn't hugely thrilling. That being said, I still had fun. Plus, they get bonus points for being open at night, which made things a little more interesting.
I sort of want to give this place 4 stars, but that's more because of the girl I was with than the place itself, so I'm gonna stick to 3 right now, because I can't really see myself ever coming back here again.
Obviously, I recommend coming here if you're looking for something unique to do on a date, and it's also a good place to take kids (you can even act like one yourself). I suppose it's a little expensive at $25/person, but, at least it's something different.
Rod Taylor the owner is a really nice guy who tries hard to make a go of a small ski area by adding tubing, snow boarding, skate boarding, and whatever else might be fun to do. It is a unique recreation area and it is great that a small town like Woodbury has it. With snow making they are ofter the first ski area to open in the season.
What can I say, I live in Woodbury and having any type of Ski Area is a bonus.
