Rather be doing the cosmetic surgery than attending to the ills of New Orleans...
I have to review Dr.Woessner for the times I have seen him, and for the times I would HAVE liked to seen him, but he does a lot of hair plug surgery, and that takes away a lot of his office time. Which is OK, but sick people need to be seen before vein folk.
I saw the doctor after being hospitalized in MN for MRSA Staph. I needed follow up on a December 26th, when most doctors were still on vacation. He took a look at my incision, and was impressed with the work done by the out of town doctors. He helped me with the medicine I needed. He came recommended from my DCH.
Fast forward a little bit. I needed to see him for a bug bite-my arm was swelling up. No appointments for 24 hours--I can't wait that long- so I could not see him. I remembered my Dermatologist and saw her. Made me love her more.
Uh oh---UTI coming on, this time I HAVE insurance-so let me use it and see Dr. Woessner. Sorry, no appointments today, while I am writhing in abdominal pain. OK, Planned Parenthood took me right away.
Jump to today-either it is a stomach flu, swine flu, or food poisoning--still, this Doctor cannot see me. So, I am going to try New Orleans Urgent Care down the block. They seem to have good reviews. I also like their said philosophy.
So, the moral of my story here today is, that if you can get an appointment with Dr. Woessner, he's pretty good. But if you can't you will be most pleased with the alternatives. So I try him first, realize that it is a no go, and then find someone else to help me. Kind of weird. I wonder what the other Yelper was thinking when he gave out 5 stars and no review. Perhaps successful cosmetics.... Again, weird.
Oh, he has this BIG building on Camp street along the Magazine bus line, which is good if there is no car or you are too weak to bike, walk, skateboard....
