5 reviews for WMC Hair Salon
Stunning consistancy, rapid quickness and unbelievably affordable prices have caused me to follow Kemal and Elena to their somewhat new joint.
Just as every other review has said, this is simply one of the best salons i've been to. It's tough to find someone to cut your hair for a good price without going to some cheap-cuts joint where they butcher your hair or a $5 mexican joint (cort de pelo) where your description gets lost in translation and you walk out with a Puerto Rican pompadour! These guys have always been the best. The cuts I get are of professional quality and would go for $15 to $25 anywhere else! Nope, a flat $10 charge for guys cuts is all it takes to look like a Wallstreet Tycoon.
The new spot is bright, clean, cozy and AIR CONDITIONED, which is a change from their old spot at Studio 4 Hair! Overall, as long as I live in Chicago, I'll patronize Kemal and WMC Salon.
I went to WMC after checking out the amazing reviews on yelp. Elena cut my hair today and she did a fantastic job. I have paid twice as much or more for haircuts that didn't look as good. Very friendly people and very clean place. I don't need a free beer if my hair cut is going to cost me 20 dollars more with out consistency of quality. I can guarantee you that I will be back because I know Elena will be there to do the same thing again! :) I'd highly recommend this place to everyone!
For five years I searched for a good salon in Chicago. I've been everywhere from Salon Buzz to Cost Cutters. Never have I found anyone as talented as Elena! She is a magician. She always knows exactly what I want. I've done highlights, gone completely blond (I was a redhead) and boy-short with my haircuts, and they're always fabulous. I always, always, always get compliments after her haircuts. Perfect every time. And while Kemal has never cut my hair, he's definitely a bonus feature of the salon!
This place is friendly, smart, bright and cheery. A few other bonuses: there is parking in the covered garage on Foster. Free (good) coffee. $25 for a woman's haircut. Much less for men and children.
And WMC stands for Women, Men, Children, in case you were curious.
Thanks to a good friend of mine, I have been reunited with Elena and Kamal. They used to both be at my old hair cut place, Studio 4 Hair...but have since branched out on their own. Let me tell you they have a nice set up going! The shop is in a new location at the corner of Foster & Lincoln in that newer condo. Very clean, lots of seating.....free coffee and candy while you wait!!!
New Location.........same great haircut!! Snip, snip, snip.........a fabulous 7 minute haircut! $10!!! That's a great deal!
Parking in the area may be tough.......gets busy on Saturday afternoons!! Just one question.....not sure what WMC stands for?? who cares, they give a great haircut!
This is Elena and Kemal's new store. Despite rumors that they went back to Albania, they only went a few blocks north...they were previously at Studio for Hair near Lincoln and Wilson, but they broke off and started their new place and it is very bright and comfortable. They offer the same great services with reasonable pricing.
