Every single review seems to be for brunch, so I'll break the mold. We had lunch. On a weekday! Because we were out on site and there is remarkably little choice around if you want to sit down. So - this is an expense-lunch review which I will try not to colour with the fact I didn't have to pay. I'm quite good with these sort of things because I still check the prices as it's not really good form to order the most expensive thing on the menu, washed down with 17 drinks. In my mind, anyway.
I actually ate here twice, and I really enjoyed it both times. Very fast service which was friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic - yes, it's southern so i wasn't expecting anything endorsed by the heart foundation, but i did actually have a salad and it was equal to my crawfish cakes in joyousness.
Corn muffins - amazing. Sauteed spinach - amazing. Sweet potato with nuts - amazing. Brisket got the thumbs up from a fellow diner. I'd go back just for the spinach, and my other fellow diner spent half the time trying to coax the recipe for the tahini dressing out of our server. Good stuff. Right portion sizes too.
Brunch, 12pm on a Saturday.
I ordered the crab cakes, two eggs over medium, a biscuit and cheese grits.
You see, I have this issue -- I like my food HOT. I am not talking burn my tongue off and make me cry hot, but you know, not luke warm and everything (even my eggs) was luke warm or cold. The sausage gravy was bland and so was everything else.
Then to top it all off, my mimosa tasted rancid and my coffee was only filled once. Once, in 45 minutes.
I am sure that at times that breakfast here is superb but it was NOT on the Saturday I went. It was a total waste of money. I'll stick with my own eggs at home.
I like Southern food, and I so wanted to like this place, but nope. The fish cakes were very bad (they tasted like fish heated in a microwave 5 days after having been cooked...), the eggs were OK, but nothing great. The grit was barely passable.
No, I don't think I am going back there any time soon.
Chicago sure has a lot of brunch spots and I wasn't disappointed by Wishbone, but just didn't have that much of a memorable experience to warrant anything, but 3 stars. To my waitresses recommendation I got the shrimp & grits, which she said was the most popular dish there. It came out and wasn't much to look at, but was surprisingly good for someone who normally doesn't eat grits. Everything else was pretty standard so going to have to cut this review a bit short.
Cheese grits, cornbread with butter and honey, and salmon cakes with hollandaise sauce - if any of this sounds appetizing to you, then you're in the right place.
Otherwise, the dishes seem half-hearted (one crayon short of a full box of flavor) and the portions are a bit skimpy. I want to love this place, but would only choose Wishbone over Le Peep across the street because of its outdoor seating.
Wonderful food.
Good service.
Will be back
1 Star for seating us immediately on a Sunday around 10 am.
1 Star for having delicious grits & biscuits and gravy (My southern roots were well-fed here)
1 Star for speedy service (although I never saw our server after we placed our order, I did have everything I needed)
1 Star for the warm, happy feeling I had when I left
There are lots of brunch places still to be tried, but I would have no hesitation to return to Wishbone!
I personally do not like this place. I came there with my family and it took nearly 2 hours to get our food. I ordered "thunder chicken nuggets and fries" for my 2 year old thinking that was safe, however, it turned out to be chicken breast sliced in little strips and roasted potatoes. My daughter was not happy at all with that, and I ended up making her dinner when we got home. I ordered the crab cakes which were just ok. They were too soggy in my opinion. We had to go to the bar to get our own silverware and even ask for refills on water. They put 8 people at a table setting for 6. We were very cramped! I won't be back.
I don't hand out 1 star reviews often, but this place earned it.
We (the family) have been going here since they opened at this location.
We enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Good value for the money.
Our favorites include:
blackened catfish, louisiana chicken salad, hoppin' jack, hoppin' john, vegetable platter (choose 3 sides), black bean veggie burgers, the corn muffins, the greens, the mashed sweet potatoes, the Yankee coleslaw, the omelets, the eggs (you choose how they're prepared & your sides), the cheese grits, the grilled chicken sandwich, etc.
In other words, this place is reliable===good food, good service, nice atmosphere.
There are certain things about "breakfast" that I consider weaknesses -- Bloody Mary's and biscuits and gravy.
I think Wishbone knows me. Seriously. I know Southern breakfast is sort of an acquired taste, but if you haven't acquired it, you probably suck and are seriously missing out on life. Cheese grits... mmm... cajun omelets... I could go on and on. Wishbone is cute bustling, and a good place to cure a Sunday morning hangover.
Dear Wishbone,
Thank you for soothing my massive hangover. Your scrambled eggs and peppers really made my day and I'm pretty sure your fruit salad was the only reason my head stopped spinning. Because of you, I was able to remove my sunglasses by 4:00.
I am forever grateful.
Your girl,
C
I don't "get" Wishbone.
I think Wishbone and other restaurants like it are the reason most Americans are obese. I don't get the sense that anything is fresh and portions are huge.
There are so many other great breakfast spots in Chicago, I would take a pass on this one.
Another delicious start to my morning!
For those who need a 'hare the dog', note that on Sunday's, they can't serve you alcohol until 10:30am. So be patient!
If you show up by 10am, there is almost no wait. Any later, then you'll be piling up outside the door to get a seat.
For some odd reason, I get a craving for shrimp everytime to go. It could be that I can't think of any other restaurant that serves shrimp for breakfast? If you like shrimp - choose either the Savannah Omelette or the Shrimp and Grits - big succulent pieces of shrimp cooked perfectly!
Really nice bloody Mary's and decent service.
I love coming to Wishbone on a lazy Saturday or Sunday. It's always packed and there's always a line, but I don't mind waiting. The restaurant is fashioned like a big-ole cafeteria. It's the kind of restaurant that you're asked to take things up a notch because if you don't, you'll drown in the sounds of your neighbors voices.
In terms of service - quick and speedy, but sometimes forgetful. I've had to repeatedly ask for lemons for my water or a refill on coffee or tea - but I don't have any complaints. This is not a fine dining restaurant. The servers cover many more tables at any one given time than servers fancier restaurants. They don't have time to dilly daddle and spoon feed you.
For food, all I have to say is shrimp and grits. YES.
Oh, and the biscuits and gravy is so worth the extra 5 miles you have to run at the gym later that day. They also have a great weekday early bird special - for $3.99 you get two eggs, two bacon or sausage, and two pancakes. I've been a few time when I've had friends in town leaving on an early morning flight. We'd grab a quick bite at the bar then head to O'hare. Perfect!
After going there every weekend for a month straight, i thought i had discovered breakfast bliss. But on the 5th visit, i was thrown off my high horse...
I discovered the breakfast sandwich (eggs, cheese, i dont get it with the spinach though) on two small, buttery, deliciously amazing croissants. I ordered that for 4 weeks straight, but as i looked over the menu before our waitress got to our table, i couldn't find my beloved, buttery breakfast sandwich. Panic ensued, as i asked her about them. She told me they were taken off the menu. I wanted to cry. Ok, not really, but that was enough to deter us from going there the next saturday morning. I ordered eggs with cheese and toast, and made my own breakfast sandwich. Albeit it wasn't as incredibly delicious as if they were on those buttery croissants of heaven. All it takes for you to make those is the croissants, you already have everything else! Please?!
I'll definitely be back anyway since my bf has developed a sad, sad, addiction to the shrimp and grits and me to the crunchy french toast.
WHY WISHBONE, WHY?

This place is awesomely standard.
When we got there last Sunday, around 11:30, i was intimidated by… Read more »
Being the Southern Boy that I am, I was happy to find a place like Wishbone in Chicago! I have a habit of ordering sweet tea everywhere I go and to get actual sweet tea puts a smile to my face!
I went here with David for brunch and was amazed by the selection of food on the menu. I had to also try the Watermelon Lemonade they were serving that AM and it was awesome! We both ordered an omelet and I had to try the cheese grits to see if they were good and it did not disappoint. It was actually some of the best cheese grits I've had and much better than most places served in Atlanta! I thought the biscuits were weird though...they weren't flaky or buttery...much more like a roll, but still good.
I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with the service, but we had some pretty good hospitality and didn't have to wait long to be seated or served our food. Actually, I think I tipped more than normal since our waitress was way cool.
I would definitely recommend and it's a good substitute for us Southerners! :)
YES I HAVE BEEN BACK ALREADY...GEEZ
I like to eat :P
Well this time I went for lunch and NOOOO complaints. We sat outside and was wated on accordingly. I ordered the smoothered porkchop and collards/mac and cheese....
Okay the only tip I have on the dish is don't expect the porkchop to be filling unless you on a diet...they have TWO as an option listed on the menu for a reason....the reason is simple ONE won't fill you up even with sides.
Overall I suggest you simply go and enjoy!@

Stumbled in this place with my girlfriend after seeing some sketch comedy in the area. The place was pretty empty around 9pm but we went in anyway. I'm so glad I did.
The deep fried green beans were to die for. The burger my girlfriend had was great she said (I don't eat beef) and I gobbled down the rainbow trout I had. The little plate of rolls and cornbread they give you was awesome too and we asked for seconds.
They have some very cool art around, with wooden chickens and various food/animal life.
All in all very cool place, will definitely go again when in the area.
Oh, no, no, no, no. no.
I proposed Wishbone for a business lunch, as my dining companion prefers "American" food, and I wanted to treat! Wishbone seemed like a grand idea, and I'd never been brave enough to endure the weekend brunch crowds. Southern cookin' is always sure to please!
Still busy during lunch, but no wait. Lots of biz suits.
But, I cannot figure out why.
At all.
The food all around (3 of us) was...really, quite unappetizing. My asparagus salad was drenched in balsamic, and fabulously LIMP. Throw on a few overcooked asparagus spears, and we've got ourselves a TOTAL dud of a salad. Blech. Even the chicken was overcooked. I realize they don't specialize in salads, but don't do 'em if you can't do 'em right.
I thought maybe my guests would have better luck, but both the veggie burger and the regular burger came on crunchy (stale?) buns that were 4 inches thick, square cheese melted on top (Holla McD's?) and the meat was greasy. I felt badly as they picked at it, wanting to be polite. Unfortunate. The sides were lackluster as well...
Service: uninspired and it took millions of seconds to get our check. Refills were slow. I sat at the table for nearly 15 minutes before anyone even came over to say "hello." This ain't no Southern hospitality...it's not even Midwestern!
What's the deal with this place? Was it an off day? Should I be shunned for ordering salad at a place like this? Maybe, but I'm not huge on second chances, and Wishbone is likely off my "list" for good...
Plusses:
Outdoor patio is covered, nice.
Valet parking. (street parking can be a bust)
Fun interior, bright colors, lots of seating.
In the West Loop.
I just got back from a delicious brunch with my wife at Wishbone. There were a lot of people who seemed like they were waiting for a table outside, but when we walked up to the hostess we were able to get in without waiting.
She had an andouille sausage omelette with potatoes and a cornbread muffin, all of which were great. I had the corn cakes with sausage patties and eggs. The eggs may have been a touch runny, but I think this ranks up there among the best brunches we've had in Chicago. The sausage in both dishes was a surprise hit - could be the best sausage among those brunches.
I also had a Jamaican coffee, which includes rum and kahlua. That was strong but delicious. My wife's bellini had pucker in it, so if you don't like pucker stay away from that one. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and the art inside is a lot of fun.
Cornbread. Ain't nothing wrong with that!*
Wishbone has a sweet, southern feel and yesterday was the perfect day for it - sitting outside on the patio under the lazy ceiling fans... summer perfection.
I went pure Louisiana with blackened catfish, mashed sweet potatoes, carrot salad, and, of course, cornbread.
I'll admit that I'm only recently coming around to the idea of cornbread - I wouldn't touch the stuff as a kid. Wishbone's cornbread is helping change my mind. Moist with the perfect touch of sweetness; I used it to mop up every last bit of sweet potato. Mmmm, perhaps I just didn't like my Mom's cornbread (sorry, Mama!).
I washed it all down with ice tea (not sweet tea, mind you, I'm not ready to completely relinquish all my Yankee values).
* In the words of my culinary adviser, Chris Rock.
This remains a reliable brunch option for me, particularly when I'm in the West Loop, but I will never get why some people claim this as their "favorite brunch" spot in the city. Really?
While the southern twists on favorites is nice, I'm never all that impressed with what they do with eggs benedicts or black beans or salmon.
Rather, it's the simple dishes--the Yankee eggs, the fruit presentation, tasty oatmeal--that keep me satisified.
I dunno, I'm not the brunch aficionado that so many yelpers are.
Maybe there's something specific that I just have to try?
I like this place. I have been there a few times! I love their grits.. and their salmon cakes!!! I need to go back here!! the wait is not very long either like some other breakfast places.
Did you ever think your food was good because it seemed like it was supposed to be good? That's this place. Everything leading up to the actual grub was excellent. Cool atmosphere, got seated quickly even on a busy Sunday lunchtime, very addicting watermelon lemonade and carrot juice (had to get seconds), great service. Prices are reasonable. We were very impressed.
And then the food arrived. No way to sugarcoat it -- the black bean cakes are gross. The mango salsa isn't enough to turn this bland pile of dryness around. The jambalaya omelette was a little better, with the excellent stewed chicken and sausage almost making up for the completely plain-tasting eggs. Flavored Egg Beaters from the supermarket would have been better. The cheesy grits were definitely the highlight of the meal -- I could have chugged bowls of that stuff. Cornbread and potatoes were also above average. The sides far outshone the entrees.
Who knows, maybe we ordered the wrong stuff? I'm a big fan of Southern food, but what I ate at Wishbone wasn't it. I might have to go back though and get some more cheesy grits...
Wishbone is an occasional diversion for us. Some dishes here are interesting on creativity, while below-average on taste. Kudos to the crunchy french toast, but you must ask for REAL maple syrup or you will get stuck with that cheap SAV-A-Lot stuff. Blackened catfish is terrible, just TERRIBLE and tastes so fishy you may puke. Went here Tuesday night and was quite disappointed in this dish, not to mention the collards, which were so limp they looked like dried up seaweed. The corn muffins are a nice appetizer, but can't help the stock value of this restaurant. Having roots in the south, I enjoy a good southern meal, Wishbone just doesn't deliver. Oh yeah, the food arrives so quick you can't help but wonder if it's pre-plated. The beans & rice dishes look like they''ve been sitting for a while. No doubt, we've gone here for the last time.
This is a great place for a casual brunch. Me and my husband stumbled upon this place while wandering around and boy were we lucky! Their orange juice is freshly squeezed in-house, service was quick and the prices are super affordable. I had a fruit pancake that was everything a pancake should be, light, fluffy, with a slight savoriness. Excellent. My husband had the southwest breakfast burrito, we're from AZ and he said it tasted better than the burritos back home.
Sunday's are busy in the morning, but the staff seems to keep up pretty well with the rush. We'll definitely be stopping by again.
Liked it [Nick Swarsden style voice...]
We've been going to the Wishbone by Lincoln and Belment for a few years, so I had low expectations for the original location. Boy was I wrong (and jaded and pessimistic and a downer and...).
It was significantly better than the Lincoln location. Even though the milling masse of West Loopers and black bikers (in starched jeans) gave me pause, the line moved fast at 11:00AM. How fast? Ten minutes was all we waited.
Wife has the chocolate chip pancakes and seemed pretty happy. I had a bacon omelet with a side biscuit and gravy. OMG, the gravy was actually edible, and how do you say... Good! The gravy had noticeable chunks of sausage (nice), and had that ever so slightly salty taste that gravy should have, not that tastes-like-flour-looks-like-gravy flavor that I run into all too often.
Service was perfect, though we had to wait a bit for our food. But the joint was so busy I am not surprised.
Would definitely go again.
This morning, my date and I sat outside on the patio for an early brunch at Wishbone. Sun + Southern food = Vitamin D + fat = perfection. We split a Jambalaya Omelet with Cheese Grits and Biscuits and Gravy...all of which were the right amount of salty, greasy, creamy, and delicious. Overall, a great way to simultaneously soak up alcohol from the night before and raise those HDL levels for super cheap. It was literally a $20 breakfast for two. Also, parking was shockingly easy to find in the West Loop.
Fyi for those morning lushes: we tried to order a bloody mary but got shot down because the bar doesn't open until 10:30 AM. Hey Wishbone, the early birds need the booze most!
Fantastic bloody mary!!!!
I also had the shrimp Omelette and was surprised at how good it was!
Staff was friendly and helpful
Now...I've been to the Wishbone in Lakeview for brunch and it was one of my better dining experiences. BUT...
I came to this Wishbone for a work lunch and from the minute we walked in I wanted to walk out. The service was beyond SLOW for the fact that it was the lunch rush. Now, I understand being overwhelmed, but I also know this is one of the usual go-to places for a lot of business folk. Why this place wasn't prepared...I will never know.
Walking through the door was the highlight of my lunch. They messed up my order, when I got it it was cold...I've basically blocked out what it was but I remember thinking it was bland. For a restaurant that's all about "southern" I found this odd.
Don't do it. I've still got a bad taste in my mouth. Not good when it's a restaurant that gives it to you.
I'm a big fan of Wishbone for brunch - spicy eggs, grits, the french toast, that delicious iced mudslide drink? Yum. Dinner is another story...
I hadn't been to the West Loop locale for dinner in quite some time so when my friend and I ventured to Yats and saw that it was sadly closed, our hankering for Southern food led us to Wishbone. The service was fine. My sweetened iced tea was fine too, the food was a whole other story and that's really what you're coming for right?
Yuckola. I attempted to be healthy and got the trout fillet with the pecan crust - very little meat and the hardly any sauce. The sweet potato side I got was candy sweet and the green beans were limp and a grayish green.
Will I come back? Not for dinner at this Wishbone (the Lincoln Ave location has a better quality dinner) but probably for brunch.
It was an interesting first-time experience - the southern verandah style dining on the patio, the old-fashioned fans on the ceiling, the food itself. But definitely not something I'm going to bring guests to or crave to go back to.
We got the crunchy french toast - deep fried almost and so unhealthy. we also got the corn muffin, grit, and omelet. food was okay - service was actually great.
Considering this place has 199 reviews already, mine almost seems pointless. BUT, it's not!
Ohhh Wishbone. Was supposed to be meeting place of the 1st meetup w/ the BF. That night never happened and somehow, months later and I had still yet to visit Wishbone. We scheduled a Saturday brunch date for there in July---but work beckoned him, so that fell through, too. :( (anyhow, I digress). It seemed Wishbone was just not in the cards for me.
That all changed a few weeks ago. Boy was I mad that I'd waited that long to go. I LOVED IT. For starters, it was a Saturday during brunch hours when I went. My friend and I didn't wait for very long. We got outdoor seating. The service was great. Weather was great. And my grits were DE.LISH!
I AM A G.R.I.T (s) (Girl Raised In the South), so I'm picky about my grits. Man, those grits were better than the ones I make at home.
Bellinis? Delightful. About 3 drinks in, I had to stop myself from keeping them coming.
I leave a star off, because my 2nd time at Wishbone wasn't so delightful. I took my mom there on her recent visit. We sat inside. Dark and dreary inside. Service was EXTREMELY poor (We had to ASK for water! and it wasn't even that busy.) My shrimp and grits were just ok (I think the gravy that they put on it is a bit off.)
Overall, I would DEF go back to Wishbone for the grits and drinks!
To date--it is my favorite brunch spot in Chi.
I can't quite understand what the hype is all about. We had attempted to visit this spot on several occasions, but we were constantly greeted by very long lines just to put our name on the list. It's breakfast for cryin' out loud. I know many people cherish the first meal of the day and maybe that is why I just don't get it. Anyhow, my husband had heard rave reviews about this spot and I thought with all the lines - it must be pretty amazing.
This past Saturday we got up early and decided to check it out. We must have beat the brunch crowd as there was surprisingly no wait. I was very pleased. We were quickly seated and I began to look over the menu. Being a girl from the South my eyes immediately zoned in on the Sausage Gravy Biscuits. Oh, heavenly sausage gravy, I've been longing for you ever since my sister last made you at Christmas in '06. We placed our orders and our tummies rumbled with excitement of deliciousness we were about to feed it.
Service was sub-par, but the food arrived fairly quick. Both my dish and my husbands, Andouille Hash, seemed as if they had been made hours ago and sitting in back. The food was cold and not all that appetizing. We both doctored the plates to make them taste a little more to our liking. My husband adding hot sauce and me the black pepper. Once we finished we decided this was on the list of: no need to go back to restaurants. I am sure they won't miss our business one bit, but thought we'd share.
Say it with me...
Cheese grits... cheese grits... cheese grits! CHEESE GRITS!
I love Wishbone! This is one my absolute favorite places to go for Brunch, their best items being on the "lunch" side of the brunch. I got salmon croquettes with poached eggs, cheese grits, and a biscuit... and damn, did I love it! The croquettes were fresh and flavorful and my cheese grits weren't runny or hard... just perfect. Ahhh....
They have a lot of traditional Southern Style breakfast items, even my super traditional African American parents approved, so I know it's good. I love the comfort food, I love the atmosphere, but what I don't love is the insane crowd of people that descends upon the restaurant every Sunday for their brunch. Fortunately, they have a bar, so if you're of age you can spend some time at the bar drinking their awesome mimosas or bellinis.
I'll be back Wishbone... you better look out for me! Cheese grits will be in short supply after I get done with you.
This is by far my favorite breakfast place in the city. All of the food is reasonably priced and quick! I think that I've had everything on the menu (with the exception of the french toast....french toast and frosted flakes??? no thanks) and all of it is awesome. My two favorites are the biscuits and gravy, and the red beans and rice. Yum. Their freshly made lemonade is really good too. Hell, all of their smoothies and other fresh fruit juices are absolutely delicious.
This place does usually get pretty crowded by 10am. Earlier on really nice days. And don't expect your waiter/waitress to be super attentive. All of my servers have been good in terms of making sure my coffee is always filled and taking plates away. But seriously, don't expect a ton of interaction with them. Also, don't come here for a little alcoholic fixer-upper on a Sunday morning. No booze before noon.
Mmmm, I miss southern food, but this place satisfies my cravings!
First time I tried this place, their food was delivered to my work. I got to the food after all the vultures attacked, so I got to try what was left (and cold)- a tiny scraping of mac and cheese, a little portion of BBQ pulled pork, some greens, and cornbread. Yum. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't dying to go visit the restaurant. It's probably better warm and freshly made.
The following time I tried their food was an accident. We were trying to go to Yats for lunch last Saturday, and it was closed. We ended up walking back toward the car, but came to Wishbone. We were starving, and after I mentioned I had tried their food before, our group decided to go there. I was all in the mindset of getting some fried chicken and greens, but they only had a brunch menu (it was 2pm), mostly breakfasty items. Booooo. I didn't really want eggs or pancakes, etc.
I ordered the crab cakes with eggs and home fries. Wow....yumm, and so filling. I could only eat half, and the left overs made a great meal after work later that night. Also, I'm glad they give you choices of sides, because even though I'm from the South, I hate grits. Overall, good prices too! The crab cakes and eggs came to about $13. They also make great coffee drinks!
Our server was friendly and attentive. I want to go back, but know this time to go at night to get the dinner menu!
Whattup - Wishbone?
If you read my review of your cousin over on Lincoln, you would be shocked I returned but alas, I have a heart. I went to meet a LARGE group for brunch (hint, show up on the later side so you don't have to wait so long and also enjoy the bar of bloody marys / mimosas / Irish coffees while you wait!). I thought they were moving the masses in and out efficiently enough. . .
When we sat down at the long table, the waitress was good - completely on top of her game. We didn't have to wait too long for the food either - I saw biscuits and gravy and catfish roll on by me. . . but I was waiting for my egg-white omelet and side of bacon. I went with the veggie omelet and was troubled to find potatoes in there. . . I mean they are on the side of the plate, do they need to be in the omelet too? And when you think "veggies", "potato" (unless you are living in Ireland) just doesn't pop up now does it?
Was the experience OK? Yes, yes it was. But I am just not sold on the food - there are MUCH better places to eat in Chicago for brunch and even lunch time meals. My wish is to go elsewhere next time, sorry :(
It's funny. I can't tell you how many times I have driven right by this place without ever giving it a second glance. Maybe cuz it is better known as a breakfast place than a dinner hangout.
But on a recent Sunday morning- I had a chance to experience what many on here rave about- southern style cooking.
I had been given a couple of hints on what to order prior to eating here from someone who had been here several times. "Try the shrimp n grits or the southern benedict", says he and so with that as my mantra, I entered the restaurant.
The place was packed but we scored a table right away which was pleasantly surprising. Our server hurried over and within moments orders were taken and anticipation began.
I ordered the southern benedict (picture eggs benedict except for biscuits instead of muffins and sausage gravy instead of hollandaise). The gravy was great but the biscuit tasted a bit dry. Also- it came with potatoes but I was totally done with my eggs before the server could find me ketchup to go on the potatoes-and this was after several requests.
I also think that had the timing been better at the bar- I might have had more than one bloody mary. It just took so long to get the one that I was hesitant to order another.
Maybe it was just an off day. Or maybe I should have ordered the shrimp and grits. Either way- Wishbone is an okay choice for brunch. I've just got others in town that put all the pieces together better and in the morning I need all the help I can get.
