Great beer selection, mostly German. The burger is the best I've had in the city. Excellent schnitzel as well. They have a nice selection of sausages, although i find the size of the sausage portion a little small. The outdoor seating area is pleasant, although not particularly scenic.

Oh my goodness, what a delicious couple meals I've had from Wirtshaus. I'm not well versed on German food but if this is what it all is, sign me up! All I know is Wirtshaus delivered last night for me.

If you're into beer, their biergarten will surely have you covered with a ton of elections.

They hooked me in by offering Cordon Bleu! Two nicely rolled, crisp pieces of chicken, ham and cheese baked to perfection. For $22 you'll get quite the filling meal as it does come with two sides. The fried potatoes are great but if you don't get the spätzle, you're ordering wrong. The Spätzle had the tastiest flavor, albeit grease for days.

We also had the Chicken Schnitzel meal, nicely breaded and again came with two sides. The chicken schnitzel had two big pieces of meat and was just a fulfilling and satisfying meal.

Loved Wirtshaus and will definitely be ordering from them again soon!

This place was pretty good with sizable portions. I came here on a Friday night and was able to bring my pup since it's outdoor seating. There were quite a few people there already and they only had 3 people serving so be prepared for a bit slower service.

We ordered the curry wurst, the Jamon Schnitzel plate, a side of fries and a flight of beer (5oz of 5 tastings) to share between me and my partner. It was a pretty good amount of food and it was enough for us to be just the right amount of full. Another dish would've put us over the top. Total came out to be $61.

I would says the Brussels sprouts and the curry wurst still the show but honestly it was all so equally good and I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Flight of beer was also an excellent choice because we were able to taste such a wide variety and it's always fun to find out what type of beer you like the most.

Parking - we were lucky enough to find street parking right out in the front.

Overall, great experience and good food.

Wirsthaus serves a vegan sausage. However, they are in the belief that you can still cook those vegan sausages on the same grill because "the flame sanitizes the grill". I have an unfortunate meat allergy that makes my body instantly react to any fat from mammalian meat. It's a violent, gastrointestinal reaction called alpha-gal. Guess what flames on the grill don't "sanitize?!" I went to the restaurant on two separate occasions and was told the same thing by two different servers. Then I was guilt tripped by them saying they'd make an exception for me "this one time."

If you're vegetarian or vegan, don't go here thinking you're safe with the vegan options.

Discovered this hidden little gem down yonder in the bowls of La Brea. Didn't want anything too heavy nor too pricey. And Wristhaus was definitely the move.

A great spot for pints and links, this was a delectable treat that I really enjoyed. Went with the boar sausage and the pretzel to start. The pretzel was great but I'd probably pass unless I'm just getting a pint. The sausage was amazing. I'd get one of their special types over the classic because my sister got the classic and it was way too small.

Sat at the bar and received very good service from the bartender. He knew it was our first time and gave us all the inside scoop to the menu. Definitely want to come back to Wirsthaus soon. Just a spot in LA that deserves your business. Fair prices, sizable pints, and a friendly staff. Looking forward to another visit ASAP.

We stopped in here tonight and we were sat outside. Luckily I was sat next to a heater! Server was great! She was definitely on top of everything making sure beers and iced teas were full. The food here was fabulous! I had a basic sausage sauerkraut and salad and loved every bite. The jager schnitzel had a great review along with the pretzel. Great beer selection and menu. We can't wait to come back!

My go to place for German Food...and yes they have loads of vegan options.

Last visit I ordered the Vegan Cali Wurst...one of my favs. Got the French Fries because they twice fry them. Last but not least the Green Beans with Slivered Almonds...yum. Ooh and I also ordered the mulled wine that's in season.

Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is cool although still bummed they had to do away with their covered benched seating area during the pandemic. Patio seating is still available it's just not as cozy as it once was.

Another plus is they have garage parking around back.

      Definitely check them out.

Wirsthaus is the perfect neighborhood joint. Their food is fantastic. I've tried the goulash and schnitzel (they even have vegan options!!!), and all of their food slaps with huge portion sizes. Their options definitely beat Wurstkuche.

They have a great selection of beers as well, although I always get the braufactum progusta. Their red ales seem pretty popular too.

They have some tvs so I like catching a game. I've also stopped here on trivia night which was pretty fun. The service is great, prices are super reasonable, and interior is cozy. I love a hip aesthetic, but I've gotten tired of trendy bars all feeling the same. Wirsthaus is an older, casual spot that makes you feel immediately at home.

Second time visiting and still love this place. The beer selection is on point, the curry fries are solid, and we tried the Schnitzel Des Hauses with chicken (and mashed potatoes + garlic green beans) and loved it. It wasn't as crazy crowded this last time (partially because lots of folks were sitting outside with the better weather), but it was busy and awesome. Looking forward to the next time.

Love it here!! Go, you won't regret it!! Yummy food, great service. The beer is cold. Lots to choose from. Love the pretzels with the best beer cheese. I think I have tried every schnitzel. The sausages are great with a good variety. The desserts have to he my favorite, can't leave without some apple strudel with some vanilla ice cream.
Try it. It's worth the drive.
