Large variety of local, drought-tolerant plants with helpful staff to explain what's what. Prices are downright reasonable, too.
One thing they might do is label the 'show' plants you find in front of the various greenhouses. It's inconvenient asking "what's this one?" a zillion times.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - C T.Livermore, CA028Jul 8, 2023
Best place in the area for a wide variety of native plants which would do well in a Central Oregon yard. Prices are a little high but the service and expertise really makes up for that. Also some of their plants have to be dug from forests. I've enjoyed shopping here and purchasing high quality plants. Very few didn't survive last winter so I have been quite pleased while converting my front yard from lawn to natives.

Wonderful native plant nursery. Great customer service - easily the best I've received of all the places I've been this spring (frankly, the ONLY place that's gone out of their way to offer help). The facility is clean and nice, prices are comparable to what I've paid elsewhere. Great cactus selection and their hillside plant/rock garden display is gorgeous, and helpful in generating ideas.

Great selection of interesting and beautiful native plants (trees, shrubs, perennials, and even some cold-hardy succulents and cacti). Reasonably priced and they have 4" plants if you don't want to buy gallon or bigger. Staff are super knowledgeable and kind! Also, cool planters and garden decor. Not to mention the grounds are beautiful!

Stopped into the Nursery this week. What a lovely place! One of the first things I noticed was the super awesome bee habitat (on your right-hand side as you drive in, just before the shop). I love this! Once I've landscaped my yard, I'm going to see where I can install one as well. The shop... gift shop... that was great too. Nice, modern designs at affordable prices. Speaking of affordable prices, I felt that the Nursery prices were affordable/reasonable. I'm not sure who helped me, but she was super-nice. It was pretty busy and she took the time to get me what I needed.
Looking forward to returning to purchase more native plants for my landscaping needs. There are a LOT of BENEFITS of going Native! First of all... low maintenance which means you use fewer pesticides, fertilizers, less water & you spend less money short & long-term. Wildlife habitat is disappearing at an alarming rate, you can help provide local wildlife with an oasis of habitat they need to thrive. Urban landscaping... it's the right thing to do. Thank you WinterCreek Restoration & Nursery!
I gave them a 4 out of 5 stars because they don't return calls/emails and that IS bad customer service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Snowman S.Prescott, AZ0832May 27, 2017
I don't have experience wth their nursery. I tried to use them for landscaping. We worked together well for two months at the beginning and developed landscaping ideas for my home. However, when it came time for them to install the landscaping, things went poorly. I was scheduled for a month away, and they missed that schedule. Then I was scheduled for a week away. They missed that also. Then they told me it would be sometime in the future and that t they had a huge job that was not completing on time. I assume that if you have a smaller job, as in $3000 of landscaping, you will get pushed out and miss the spring planting. Very disappointing.

Thanks for the comments Art. I'm sorry we weren't able to meet your anticipated schedule, but you failed to mention in your review that many elements of the project were waiting for legal review by a number of state oversight agencies (ODFW, State Lands, etc). As far as we know, reviews have still not been completed or permits issued. I wish you the best of luck on your project. Thank you again for your feedback.

I am amidst the arduous process of re-doing my yard, here in Bend. Any of you Central Oregonians know exactly the pains of finding a mix of creating a finished looking yard and using sustainable plants - I swear I can't keep plants alive anyway so my task is incrementally harder.
The people at Winter Creek made my multi-day excavation and yard work easier. They were kind, helpful and went above and beyond the service I have experienced anywhere else. Andria took the time to look at my yard photos, discuss sunlight, make a plan/sketch and help me choose plants that will thrive -- she even steered me away from plants I wanted, but wouldn't do well (thank you!). Worth noting, a week later my plants are alive and actually doing well.
I will definitely be going back to Winter Creek and highly recommend them if you are looking for natives that will do well in our climate and don't need heaps of water.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - C B.OR, OR426813May 22, 2018
Best nursery in town. Tranquil, lovely grounds filled with native plants, succulents, cacti, and a cute little indoor shop with creative planting selections. Staff is wonderful, helpful, friendly, and takes the time to find what you need. The best feature is I believe they are the only nursery in town that doesn't use chemical pesticides. So our pollinators and wildlife, as well as ourselves, aren't endangered. Yeh!! Thank you for caring about health Wintercreek.
