I just call in!  Our local store is Concord but the phone number (Boston) channels through a sales desk that I assume takes the order processes it and Concord or your local branch puts the flowers together.

Just got off the phone and guys/gals this place has saved my ass on too many occassions to not just rave but thank the good Lord for their existence.  When Liz recieves flowers from Winston..........I'm partially out of the dog house!

Price is little high but the quality for all I know about flowers seems great. I remember Liz complaining one time about the quality of some roses and I'm thinking "oh no...here it comes!"  She gets on the phone nicely explains the problem and 3 hours later she has new flowers and a better arrangement then before.  How'd she do that?

Anyway they say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and I say try Winston's for being in the dog house and special other occassions.

The best, freshest flowers I've ever seen.  And the service can't be beat.

Because it's ridiculously expensive (worth each penny), it's only good for someone you really truly love.  You can't/shouldn't be calling on these people for every GET WELL, CONGRATULATIONS and SYMPATHY issue that comes up.  It is only for someone worth it.

Gorgeous selection.  Visit them online.  If you want something different, they'll do it for you.

Best flowers without exception.

Absolutely, hands down the BEST flower shops ever.
Not cheap, but well worth it, I have sent mom a gift from here, and new dads, and recently dumped girls and sweet 16's too.
They have the most unique arrangements ever, and if you get the chance to hit up a store, you will want to shower yourself with gifts from this place.

The people I worked with on coordinating my wedding here went beyond their call of duty to make sure our day was spectacular. Because it was an autumn wedding, we chose a cozy palette, keeping it relatively simple to adhere to the modern and elegant aesthetic for our day.

So it's my friend's birthday and she loves flowers.  I decide to go to Winston because my bf buys me flowers from here occasionally, and it's close to the restaurant where the girls and I would be dining at.  I know, I'm very last minute!  Well, I soon notice that everything is pretty damn expensive.  I guess being a girl, you're not aware that flowers can be so pricey.  My friend is the showy type and would be more impressed with a giant bouquet over... say, tiny, rare, delicate flowers.  Alas, I find small colorful bouquets and the clerk gladly helps put two together into a big one!  It was really pretty.  Best of all, the total came to $35!  My friend loved it, and dubs Winston, the "Gucci" of flowers.

If you want to impress a date, go here.

If you want to thank your boss, go here.

If you want to give any flowers to anyone, go here.

I've heard so many great reviews about this place that I had to check it out. I needed a bouquet for my graduation, and although Winston's is a bit expensive, might as well go all out.

I wasn't looking to spend a lot, but I wanted an arrangement that was better than picking up a boring one at Shaw's. I cannot go on how amazing the service was when I walked in (just minutes before it closed for the day!). After deliberation, I made a bouquet of orange and pink roses, white and green gardenias, and coral peonies. When I picked it up, it was absolutely gorgeous and stunning. I could have gotten married at my commencement!

The prices are reasonable for the beauty of the flowers and the service. I even asked for a price range, and they were able to go under it (and the bouquet was huge!) This place is a definitely must if you want to wow someone.

If you're aim is to impress and overwhelm, then don't go anywhere else.

This place is THE FLORIST for when you want to show someone you really care or that you're a class act all the way.

The quality of the service you recieve, the flowers and the arrangements make for a great experience.  When I send flowers from Winston's I know I'm going to get a call from someone telling me how beautiful and amazing the flowers are.

I don't do it often because they are expensive, but when it really matters I don't go anywhere else.

Winston Flowers is expensive.  For flowers, VERY expensive.. and I've manage dot get flowers that would last just as long for cheap at Trader Joe's.  However, that requires labor and sometimes I get to file expense reports...

The work they do is gorgeous and never looks cheap.  You get what you pay for, for sure.

And I did have white lilies sent to me from a friend from Winston a few years ago that were so beautiful and lasted so long I took and still have pictures and I still have the vase (with eucalyptus from TJ's in it).

Food, clothing, shelter, or flowers? If your choice is flowers, you should always count on Winston for an amazing arrangement.

I've received several arrangements from Winston Flowers from my husband who claims, it's worth the extra $30-$40 for a different, modern, gorgeous arrangement that will last for a long time. Most of their arrangements are low and absolutely rich with very good quality flowers, not to mention placed in a vase that's an original Winston design that you can use for several purposes after the flowers are gone. So the vase itself is worth plenty, rather than the cheap $1 ones that come from other florists.

Every time I get a delivery from them my female co-workers go ga-ga. When I bring it home, it's a perfect centerpiece for my dining table. I can't gush enough about how beautiful each arrangement is.

I've uploaded several pictures of past arrangements... go take a peek!

I think the best way for me to put this is: "when it matters, call Winston Flowers". These people DO flowers, and they DO them well.

YES. They are expensive. Very. However, you can be ASSURED that even without seeing the arrangement that what they deliver will be BEYOND your expectations, and to quote a recipient, "exquisite".

Customer service is top notch, as it should be, when you are shelling out this kind of money.  They will work with you, what you want to spend, they WILL get the delivery there during the TIME FRAME YOU CHOOSE, and again, the flowers will be exquisite.

Now- if it doesn't really matter, and you just wanna "send some flowers", go with 1-800-FLOWERS, and pray they get there on the day you arranged.

Yep, they are expensive, but the arrangements are always stellar and it's really all about the service.

Lucky me, I got two arrangements on the same day. Unfortunately, they were basically the same arrangement.

Later in the day they call to see if everything was "okay" at which point I asked which order they were calling on and the rep noticed I had received two of the same.

Rather than shrugging her shoulders she asked
1. if I wanted one replaced
2. what I'd like
3. when I wanted them delivered and
4. if I wanted them to take the other arrangement away!

Unbelievable.

Winston is one of the top rated florists on Boston Yelp so I'm going to spare you rehashing what everyone else has said.

Bottom line: If price isn't a big object, then you can't be Winston flowers. I've been to a lot of florists around town, from Harvard to Backbay, and Winston's flowers and professionalism are hands down the best. They're going to cost you a pretty penny, but for a special occasion, they can't be beat.

I give Winston 4 stars based primarily on their website. They have pretty arrangements at higher than normal prices, but the quality usually makes up for it. I used them a lot at my previous job as well and was always happy with their delivery service.

However, their Newbury Street shop workers are a bunch of snobs. My husband and I went in there to discuss floral arrangements back in the day when we were planning our wedding and they were just so entirely unhelpful and dismissive. I mean, this wasn't "we want 2 red roses please" type arrangement, since wedding flowers can go in the thousands of dollars, however they were just entirely disinterested in anything other than showing us a catalogue of stuff we could easily find on line and not bother to tell us when someone more invested in larger scale events would be in the shop to help us out.

Oh, sure, Winston Flowers is a liiiiittle on the pricey side. But what is a surefire cure for the woes of an empty wallet?

Well, frozen yogurt.  And cupcakes.  And I'd also say baked ziti, a hug from a dear friend, and a gift of a Coach bag.  Filled with MAC cosmetics.

And FLOWERS!  Beautiful, long-lasting, high quality flowers.  Arranged for you by highly trained professionals who enjoy what they do.

Winston Flowers is worth the dent in the wallet that you'd avoid in other floral shops.  The quality you'll receive is well worth it, and then some.

I've known about Winston's for a long time.  It was always a name that was mentioned for great floral arrangements.  I've seen great work done by them for numerous formal events, gifts from other people, and was always pleased at what I saw.

For the first time ever, I wanted to send a bouquet from Winston's to my grandmother as a thank you / congratulatory present.  In my mind I was saying to myself, "Wow.  I've made it that I can buy from Winston's."

My grandmother gave me a call shortly after they were delivered and was ecstatic at what had arrived.

I received the pictures from the neighbor (I live out of state and wanted to see what I had purchased) and was sorely disappointed.  It was a rather sickly display of floral arrangement.

This being my first formal order to Winston's and having it fail was absolutely heart breaking for me as I was truly looking forward to using their legendary services.  Winston's is a Boston treasure, the Best of Boston, and it didn't prove to be.  (Kind of like buying an iPod only to have it starting skipping after 6 months.  Or meeting your favorite celebrity only to find out they're a jerk.  Or saving up money for that new car/camera/vacation only to have it disappoint.)

I learned (from an inside source) that I had made a big mistake by calling the 1-800 number as opposed to the direct number to Newbury Street office.  The 800 number goes to some other store/hub (not sure where).  If you want the best arrangements, you HAVE TO call the Newbury Street office.

Needless to say, they corrected some of their mistakes and gave me a form of assurance that it would not happen again in the future.

I will give them one more shot, but will definitely be very specific about what I want.  (Again, I'm bummed beyond belief and have been ill about it all weekend.)

I have such a vehement, unwavering, and almost indescribable love of Winston Flowers, the most tasteful, wonderful florist in existence. I've always been fond of the name "Winston," from the cup to Sir Churchill himself, minus the ciggy brand. In any case, I've received arragements from here on two occasions by my lovely and wonderful doting S.O.

The tulip bouquet I received on Valentine's Day was stunning, and I was sorry to see it wilt. Moreover, I received a wonderful arrangement in a glass vase to my office today. It wasn't supposed to be delivered until 1:00, but Winston had it there before I even arrived slightly after 9 AM! I walked in to flight my office abuzz with compliments on the lovely flowers. Everyone wanted to know if it was my birthday, but I could tell them that I got my flowers "just because ..." The notes they include for you are tastefully done and typed up in a nice font as well. Winston, simply put, is unbeatable, incomparable to any other rip off, dandelion junkyard in Boston.

Creative, and almost always completely tasteful.  Yes, Winston's is pricey, but that is what you expect to get the best.
Always make sure that you see what they are sending, or get a very good description of what you are sending if you order over the phone.  While all of their arrangements are excellent, sometimes their staff chooses flowers that are unsuitable for the occasion.
If you need to impress somebody, or get out of the dog house, this is the way to do it...most of the arrangements last for a week or longer also and they have great seasonal selections.

I can't say I've ever actually visited this place, but I have ordered from them over the phone a few times.

The first time I ordered them, I had them sent to a friend of mine who was in Boston for a conference. The arrangement lasted several days and on her flight back to San Francisco, people were constantly commenting on her flowers and asking if they were from Winston's. She told me that it was the first time she had gotten sick of people commenting on the flowers she was carrying.

Most recently, my sister was going through a rough patch and they suggested their "Rose Vibrance" arrangement. I later on got a call from my sister thanking me for the flowers and that it was the perfect thing to pick up her weekend.

While their arrangements are a little pricey, the results have been worth every penny.

Stepping down into this pretty little store, is like descending into a cavern of horticulture marvels.  Sigh.  Nothing makes me want a boyfriend more intensely than Winston's.

I came here once with a friend who ended up buying a big green plant with a big stone vase.  The plant was only $40 but the vase was twice as much.  I think he wondered how I convinced him to stop in for "just a look" and ended up spending over $100 dollars in a store where a guy should only spend that much if he has serious plans to get laid..and get laid well.  The dude also brought in his huge doberman where the sales lady welcomed him with a bowl of water.  Very nice people and BEAUTIFUL plants.  Check out the green/gray handmade vases in the back of the store...exquisite.

Winston's is my favorite florist in all the US.  Their arrangements are simply amazing.  I have bought and received from Winson's several times and have had nothing but the best experiences.  Their staff does a great job of putting together very tasteful and elegant arrangements.  I'm convinced they could even do a good job with carnations... and I hate carnations.

Flowers are always fresh and last for well over a week.  And the fragrant smells??  They will brighten up a whole office!

The best of the best.  My in-laws give me a tip when i just started dating my now wife...there's flowers and there's Winston Flowers.  I'm a guy and even I noticed the difference from chains like Kabloom.

I compliment Winston Flowers on the fact they have expanded to many stores but the quality in each store remains constant - the best.  Obviously they are well managed.  I don't mind paying extra for a well-run business and it makes my wife SO happy to receive Winston's.

I agree with what everyone is saying about price - it is expensive - but the arrangements are beautiful and really do last forever. In addition to the standard issue arrangements, they always have $10 bouquets of seasonal flowers near the door as well as a selection of plants (including a good representation of Orchids) if you are looking for something a bit more permanent. I even ordered a small ficus tree from them and they took care of all the details for me ...

I don't think there is any competition.

Having been burned by dead (or nearly-dead) flowers delivered by other companies (both local outposts and national brands), I searched out Winston Flowers on the recommendation of a friend.

Looking to send a set of flowers to my wife for Valentine's Day, I reviewed the options on the website and settled on an amazingly beautiful arrangement of roses which weren't of the typical "dozen-long-stem" variety.  This dozen were trimmed and in a beautiful small vase, causing it to look like it was bursting with roses.  A nice effect, actually.

As others have mentioned, the prices are not for the faint of heart.  However, the customer service and the quality of the flowers and their presentation more than make up for it.  In the case of the Valentine's Day roses, they lasted a good 2 weeks before starting to wilt.

If you are looking for innovative ways to send flowers to someone in the Boston area, you can't beat Winston Flowers.

They may be more expensive than your regular florist, but as soon as you see the flowers you will know why.  The arrangements are pieces of art!  I have never set foot in the store, only worked with them on line, but I have never has an issue.  They deliver on time, every time.

An arrangement from Winston Flowers will never fail to impress whoever is lucky enough to receive them. The customer service reps over the phone have great suggestions if you are not sure exactly what you want. The presentation never dissapoints.

I personally have not had any problems with deliveries, nor have I ordered from in the store, so I can't help out with info on the service or snobby employee issues...

Ok.. I didn't buy from Winstons or get a delivery... I know, I know, let's all sigh deeply together and feel sorry for me... BUT before you really do that, let me tell you how I came across this little gem.

About a month ago some Winston Flowers were delivered to my apartment... they were GORGEOUS! So fresh, so lovely, so fragrant. Hydrangeas, peonies, ranunculus, everything high class, everything gorgeous. Well, obviously they weren't delivered to me - the lucky girl wasn't at home so being delivered on Saturday there they sat on the stairs (inside) of our apartment complex... and there they sat on Sunday, too. Finally on Monday when I came home from work and they were still there (still fresh looking too!!) I became guilt ridden and decided to check the card and give Winston's a call because I wanted whomever was supposed to get them to get them! They were just too beautiful to leave there on the stoop until they wilted.

Anyway, Winston's was overjoyed that I told them about this mix-up, they promised to send the recipient some new ones and to my huge surprise they told me I could keep the ones on the stoop. I still feel guilty about enjoying them myself - but let's face it, Winston Flowers are not the kind of flowers you can just let sit idly by.

They get four stars only because I still feel uneasy about why they would just leave the flowers there unattended... those beautiful, beautiful things. I'll consider upping it when I order something there myself or buy one of their cute plants out the front of their Back Bay store. Enjoy!

By far my favorite florist in Boston. You can always count on Winston's for fresh, gorgeous, and moden arrangements. No baby's breath here!

While slightly more pricey than those "other" florists, they are well worth it. The flowers from Winston's easily last at least a week, if not longer.

Terrific overall value, and a "must" in my book.

Disregard prices and trust Winston to make the most beautiful, sprightly, lush and interesting bouqut ever. Flowers from the corner or supermarket or garden are lovely, but when you don't have the time to do it yourself and need the perfect floral arrangement to make someone's day (you count as a someone btw) go big or go home.

At least Winston's look likes it costs the money it does. Word players.

These flowers mean business! If you care about someone in the Boston area - this is the place to order from. When I lived in Boston, my soon-to-be-husband always ordered the *important* occasion flowers from Winston. Even when we moved to San Francisco, he ordered from them and their relationships and dictates to other network florists is so impeccable you will nary see a carnation or other weedy flower in your arrangement!!

And what was so cool was that the florist they sent the order to in San Francisco was so good we ended up using them for our wedding!

I have to say everytime i've ordered over the phone, the salesperson is EXTREMELY helpfuland courteous, everytime!
They are seriously, the nicest people i've dealt with on a business level-i don't know what they feed or pay their employee's...but,keep it up,Winston's!!!

Yes, they do lovely work, but I've gotten the same results for less money from other local providers (Bunker Hill Florist, Twig on Tremont street - and the sadly departed Flower Pot in Cambridge).  Just tell them you want something a little unusual, exotic or whatever.

I send flowers and plants from Twig and Bunk to my partner all the time, and while her office mates usually assume they're from Winston's, I"m taking the money I saved and buying her an extra glass of wine.

I tell you, nothing will make the office ladies jealous like a Winston arrangement. When you go to pick it up at the reception desk, you're likely to encounter inquiring minds who want to know what man had the good taste to send you such lovely flowers.  Back at your desk, people you've never even talked to will stop by to admire your bouquet and congratulate you on your birthday, anniversary, etc.  As a lucky recipient of Winston's arrangements, I shamelessly admit that the attention is nice.  Men, do take note that all this attention can only mean just rewards for you in the end ;)

It is difficult to say whether Winston Flowers provides a stimulating perspective on the art of the flower or whether it has recalled the essentially, visual description of "remembering". At once it is wonderfully liberating, at other times to intangible to relish in its craft.

Winston's is expensive, but has beautiful flowers. My use of them is to call them when I am ordering flowers for my mother-in-law in CA. They would find a local florist, and instruct them on what to send. They also suggested bright colors, as many older people have fading vision (as was her case). While I never saw the flowers, she always reported that they were beautiful, and I felt comfortable that with their guidance something beautiful would be sent.
