a stop in a http://www.tastytwosom... wing adventure.
we had the lemon pepper wings and the hickory bbq wings, extra crispy. we should have gotten the bbq sauce on the side, but the lemon pepper was fine drenched in that delicious butter sauce.
i love the lemon pepper, and the hickory was okay. sauce on side would have equaled awesome. crisp, small wings. small compared to smoke eaters which was our next stop... but small sometimes ain't a bad thing. small equals crispier.. can we equate that to motions in the oceanse? :P
i'd come here for the exotica flavours like lemon pepper again. noms. and fries with cheese sauce because that just sounds more exciting than fries with melted cheese (as smoke eaters has). nom nom if you're looking for wings you still have to come by!!
you can find me tweeting @tastytwosome or video blogging on http://www.tastytwosome. come on an adventure with moi. :)

I had the 10 piece combo (Atomic/Original hot), fresh cut seasoned fries and side order of boneless strip w/ separate cajun sauce.
I liked the "original hot" version the most, more rich and full flavour as opposed to the cajun and atomic versions which are too acidic / vinegarry(?) for my taste. Fries were decent.
Overall good eats, hey..one can't go wrong with fried stuff !
My first time eating Wing Stop today!
Gosh, what a great deal. 35 wings for $25... AND they made another order for my friends and I because they thought they didn't make our order lol. We were nice enough to tell them that it was a mistake though. I would've loved 70 wings for $25 though. Now THAT would be a better deal! We ordered the garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, and something else I forgot. It was good. Especially the french fries. Will gain 5 pounds from this.
I first came here when I lived in San Jose and after that I craved these wings every once in awhile. My faves: Garlic Parmesan and Mild. Tip: Don't eat the garlic wings if you plan to go out after since the flavor stays in your mouth! haha. But this place is way better then the one I been to in San Carlos (wings were too small and fries seemed burnt).
Overall a good place to go craving quick fast food. it's not so cheap but it will fill you up and won't leave you feeling sick and on the toilet like ahem* other fast food joints.
Seriously, one of the saltiest places I have ever eaten!
I've been really curious about trying wing-stop since there are a whole bunch of chains around town. I ordered 10 pieces, flavored original and cajun, and a drink. It was around $9. Ranch dipping sauce costs extra.
I was literally wiping off the sauce with napkins before I could even take a bite. And, even with all those napkins the chicken was still salty! Sorry, I will not be eating chicken here again.
Ok, we went to this place for take out (not a fan of the dinning area) and we loved it. Although we got home and our order was missing an item, they gave us a little extra next time. We ordered the buffalo boneless wings and fries. The boneless wings were very good but my favorite were the FRIES! It's hard to find good fries at wing joints. I've narrowed it down, do they season them with salt and sugar?! If you think that's gross, just give them a try. The fries are always hot, nothing sitting around at this place for hours.
I'm a fan but DON'T look at the nutrition facts. My waistline would grow inches if I continue to visit this place twice a week. It's going to be one of those 'treats' here and there. Again, I'm still a huge fan!
Wingstop definitely beats Hooters and other bar restaurants that serve wings. With a variety of flavors, wet or dry, and dipping sauces, you will feel like you're in wing heaven [no pun intended].
MMMMMMMMMM.

If you read my profile, you will know how much I like this place and this is one of the few things I missed about where I used to live. I lived in Willow Glen. I would make up excuses for running to Target when in fact I just wanted to go to Wingstop!
It has a very unassuming and bland door front to the point of uninviting. But that is typical San Jose strip mall aesthetic, unfortunately. You order at the counter. It seats about 8-10 tables inside with limited patio seating. There are 9 flavours to choose from and my favourites are lemon pepper and garlic parmesan because they are not drenched in sauce (just my personal preference). They are cooked to order so they come piping hot. Very hot (temperature wise). The skins are crunchy and very flavourful. They also use good size wings so the wings served there are not the puny ones that many pubs serve. I like it so much that I got a Wingstop gift card as one of my Christmas stocking stuffers last year :)
The only suggestion is that the wait is rather long - close to 15 minutes. But then, the wings are cooked to order and it's about the same time if you were to order in a sit-down restaurant anyway.
The main reason why I love wingstop is because the lemon pepper chicken. I normally get the chicken strips and drench it in lemon pepper. Wingstop also puts sugar on their french fries. Sounds weird, but tastes incredibly delicious. Wingstop has a whole bunch of other chicken flavors such as cajun...parmesan garlic...etc. I haven't tried the others, but from my friends' reviews..they all agree wingstop's chicken is pretty bomb.
So you all must be asking "If this place has some bomb ass chicken, why did you give it 4 stars?".
I took away one star on my rating..because wingstop is pretty expensive for small ass chicken wings. $8-9 for fries and 3 lemon pepper chicken strips. I've made 30 of my own wingstop lemon pepper wings at my house for only $8 bucks. Courtesy of Lucky's.
But even if it is a bit expensive for the small amount you get, it is worth going to.
Man I love wings and does this place deliver!
My two personal favorites are lemon pepper and original hot with garlic parmesan coming in third. The wings are just so full of flavor and definitely satisfy any savory craving that you may have. Their fries are also very unique and delicious. Not too salty and a little sweet. I've tried all the flavors but the three I mentioned are the best IMO.
If you haven't given this place a shot yet then get on it ASAP. You're missing out!
I was highly disappointed at Wingstop, which brands itself as "The Wing Experts."
I tried the Atomic, Garlic Parmesan, Cajun, and Lemon Pepper wings and was surprised at how synthetic and artificial the sauces tasted. I can't quite describe exactly how they tasted other than they had a very manufactured store-shelf kind of flavor. The Atomic wings were particularly weird tasting and weren't very hot at all.
The wings seemed about the same size as you'd find at any bar until you realize that the basket of fries you get with the combo is perfectly sized to fill you up after eating the little meat that's on the wings.
There are much better wings places in the area and you'd be doing yourself a favor if you skip Wingstop.
I did not pay for them..... but still
The BBQ sauce was okay
The size of the chicken wings was unacceptable.. FAIL! super small WTF!
The Bleu Cheese dipping sauce was the best part of what I ate.. so I took the cheese and dipped my teacher emergency cracker stash in there.
Perhaps I got a bad batch?
In the end.. i prefer to make my own and get those cheap drum sticks packages from Costco and do it from scratch

Wondered about the hype
Inside it's small and few seating
Not many meal choices... chicken wings, boneless chicken strips, sides
Got 4 pieces of lemon pepper chicken strips ($5.59)
Should have gotten hickory smoked bbq instead
The strips were drenched in salt and popcorn butter?
Overpriced chicken
Pondering what the big deal is still...
Weird factors...
- My meal came partially... first 3 pieces. Then they said my other 1 piece would come soon. o.O What? Why not give me all 4 pieces at once?
- It felt weird not having a dipping sauce for my chicken strips. Instead, the strips were super greasy and almost tasted like popcorn butter. At the bottom of the tray was a pool of grease. And they were super salty!!! Ew!
- Napkins? Tear from a roll of brown paper towel? I used A LOT just to soak up the grease of the chicken!

I've been coming to this Wingstop since they opened about 4 years ago. This Wingstop rocks! Good service and the wings are prepared deliciously.
wow. Don't get me wrong i'm just giving 2 stars for the Customer service. One time, I was with my boyfriend and we were heading back to sf that night. We were craving some Wingstop and wanted to stop by before they closed at 12 midnight although it was approaching closing time.. we rushed to get there before 12. TRUE ENOUGH we did. We got there at 11:55pm. I rushed thru the doors finding an employee asking a customer.."Sir, what would you like to order?"...(ok so i was relieved I made it on time)..but then she looked at me and said "Oh no sorry we're closed. We turned off the ovens already". WOW can i say that's some BS. If that was the case, why would she take that customer's order right before my eyes. However there are some nice employees there, 2 out of the bunch. wooptie doo.
i'd give 448758957 stars for the wings. I do admit, I do go there a lot especially since I just discovered it a couple years ago. I feel like i've been deprived my whole life without these wings..oh man exaggeration..but really! i've tried every flavor..except atomic. and oh boy hands down. verrrrrry yummy. It's so good that i'm craving for some wings right this moment. (damn, review!)

I would give this place 3.5 stars for being some of the most varied and good wings I have had in the Bay thus far. There are definitely nothing like back home in Philly but still where I get my wing fix now and again.
The cajun is particularly delicious and apparently is award winnings. The regular is also pretty decent. Did not like the garlic parmesan at all- basically butter and throw of garlic.
The wings are pretty small so if you typically eat 10, make sure to get 5-10 extra than that. The dips are extra and pretty expensive however the cheese is a must for the fries. Speaking of fries- they are plentiful here! Definitely enough to share.
Overall, good experience.
meh. its good, but not great. if i had to eat there i wouldnt mind.
had the cajun and parmesan garlic. the parmesan garlic is strange but still pretty decent. the fries are really good. the service was very nice. if you are bored of smokeeaters (spice level only) and want flavored wings, this is probably the spot to check out.
that being said. doesnt compare to bw3's.

I was super excited to eat here for the first time after hearing all the good things about this place. However, I was not satisfied.
It takes forever just to make one order. (I only ordered 12 pieces). It took almost 20 minutes to get my order and the wings are so tiny!!! What a rip off. The wings itself, tasted okay, but I could easily buy my own lemon pepper seasoning to make my own wings at a cheaper price. In terms of seating, it is quite limited. This place is not cheap either.

If I were to base my review solely off of their wings, I'd give Wingstop the maximum five stars. Unfortunately, I can not.... and so, I will not.
Their customer service sucks so hard. I can not even begin to explain it. Seriously, sometimes, I am afraid to order from the people behind the counter. They seem like they want to beat you up if you order the wrong thing! Hahaha, okay, maybe I am exaggerating BUT they aren't the friendliest bunch.
My husband and I usually get the "Two Can Dine" meal which entitles us to two different flavors. On top of that, we usually add the extra 5 wings because we have a kid and she probably wouldn't appreciate spicy wings in her mouth. We've never had a problem doing this except for one of the last times we visited and was told that that was not possible. "No". That's it. No explanation... Just "No". Weird. -- The employees here do a great job at greeting you and taking your order (for the most part) but sometimes I feel like they are rushing me so that they could hurry up and get back to their conversations, which they have PLENTY of. I swear, sometimes, I get a little too much information than I would like to know about some of the people that work here.
The last visit we had was a pleasant one though. The girl working the counter was new..... or, it could've just been we've never seen her before. She kept gushing over my kid (which is always a plus in my book) and even offered her a free cookie! She smiled a lot and asked us several times if we were doing okay. I like her. Too bad I didn't catch her name. I seriously would have written the owner and would have told him/her that that girl needed a promotion or something!
Anyway, if you don't mind the loud staff and are in the mood for some great chicken wings (and yummy potato salad and buttery rolls), this is the place to be. It's lot better than SmokeEaters, which I've never been a huge fan of because I find their wings to be too breaded (not enough meat!). I would eat here every time I go do my Target shopping (which is conveniently located just across the parking lot).... but I don't because my husband reminds me of how clogged my arteries could become and drags me to Panera Bread (next door) instead.
The wings here are really good but they are small..booo!! so i order boneless wings all the time. my 3 favorite flavors are hickory smoke bbq, hawaiian, and teriyaki. i have yet to try the others =/. place is kinda small for its popularity. service can sometimes be slow especially on the busy hours. so be patient
Worst and slowest customer service ever.
I ordered online and went to pick up 10 minutes after the designated time, but I still had to wait another 10 minutes. The chicken strips and wings were not coated evenly. It was a disaster.
Wingstop is what i would call the straight goods. It always delivers great quality food and the atmosphere is wonderful. Its become a place where me and my friends go and catch up and just talk over some good food. I would definitely recommend Wingstop to any wing-lovers.
This is one of the few wingstops where the flavoring actually remains ON the wings and doesn't pool in a greasy mess at the bottom of the tray. I've also never had to wait too long here. However, parking is a biotch thanks to all the slow drivers trying to navigate out of the parking lot (Wingstop is close to the exit of the complex) or get to Target.
There isn't much seating either, especially at lunch time, and if you want to go outside, not all the tables have shading. I would imagine it's pretty unpleasant eating hot wings under a blazing hot sun =(
The only thing I like about Wing Stop are their lemon pepper wings. These wings are the best I've ever had. They are perfectly crispy and have just enough flavor! However, these wings are dripping with oil and make me feel like I've gained 20 pounds after eating one order. The fries are horrible because they're not crispy at all...they also charge you for dipping sauce! This place is really expensive as well and the chicken wings are tiny. I've also tried the spicy wings and teriyaki wings, which aren't that great.
If you come here, be prepared to spend about $10 and wait about 15-20 minutes for your order

As a rule, I don't review anything unless I've gone there more than once. Why? Because you're not sure if the place was having a very good day or a very bad one. Anyways, the review.
By far, the lemon pepper chicken has consistently been the best. The wings are small, but I've been to a BBQ wing cook off (in Reno of all things) and that's about the right size for it so I can't complain. One thing that disappoints me is that I can only eat about 5 before I start feeling sick. Too much grease or the seasoning? I'm willing to bet it's all the oil they use to deep fry that sucker.
Even if I can't gobble more than a few wings, I LOVE the fries. That seasoning reminds me of the Red Robin bottle that I have always contemplated on stealing. MSG?! So what! It tastes so damn good.
3 stars from me.
We had a case of the late night munchies and decided to go to wingstop since they're open til midnight. We ordered the teriyaki, hawaiian, and lemon pepper wings since we wanted to try a variety of flavors. I wish that we had stuck with just the lemon pepper as this was by far the best of all the wings we ordered. I could have gobbled up the lemon pepper wings all night long. Clearly my friends felt the same since we had plenty of the teriyaki and hawaiian wings leftover, and only a pile of picked clean bones to show for the lemon pepper. My one complaint is that the chicken wings here are a bit on the skimpy side, other yelpers are correct in noting that these wings are awfully small.

I actually love this Wingstop more than the one on Curtner. I love the lemon pepper wings and I just can't get enough of it. I usually have to wait about 15 minutes for my order to be finished but its worth the wait. I usually never sit there to eat. I always order to go to enjoy the comfort of my home. I get iffy eating there because the place is so small and I don't really know if its clean. I don't really like the napkins that they provide either. its just a big roll of paper and you just rip how much you want.
The only thing I'm disappointed about is how small the wings are sometimes. Not a lot of meat on the wings. Besides that I still enjoy coming here to order and take home to eat.
+4 stars for being so tasty
-1 for not being cheap especially with really small wings
I'm not sure what the hype is about this place, but now that I 've tried it, I decided it's a no-go! The wings are small!
Taste:
I got the lemon pepper and mild. If you can tolerate heat, go check out the atomic. The mild didn't do much for me and didn't leave a 'kick' to my taste buds. The lemon pepper is even worse because you virtually cannot taste the lemon! I'd imagine you need to squeeze your own lemon juice on the wings.
The sauce does not come with the orders, it's separate. I think it was 59 cents. So if you are eating at home, use your own chilled blue cheese dressing.
Not enough seating area at this place --- there were some outdoor seatings.
They don't provide napkins for take out orders! So make sure you ask!
High expectations from seeing my yelpers review this place.....
My reaction the whole time eating: DISAPPOINTED and.. What is so special about this place?
We ordered the $12.99 special 15 wings, seasoned fries and two fountain drinks. Picked the garlic parmesan and the atomic toppings..
The wings were skinny and had no meat on them.. It was less than average... I seriously could of made better wings than them and I don't cook that much..... The different toppings were a good idea but it still doesn't make it up to the lack of meat that they give you. The fries were soggy and didn't really live up to the word *seasoned*.
brown paper towels? This ain't boiling crab where we need rolls of brown paper towels...
MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH
Sorry to say, I don't think I will be coming back here guys.. I rather go to University chicken or even better yet... 99 Chicken!!!

Bunk to the core.
When this joint opened up in Texas, it was all the rage.
Back in the wing boom, you could find wing joints at every corner.
Wing stop, Wing Zone, Wing hut, Buffalo Wild Wings...you get my drift.
Of all these places, wing stop had to be the weakest.
Tiny pieces that clearly looked as if they had been plucked from the chicken way to early. I hate to get graphic. I would even dare to say that Safeway wings are bigger. Isn't the point of the wing to have meat? I am not a sucker of the bone, I want my meat.
Shared 2 flavors with the cube. The special came with fries and drink. The OG sauce is good as is the Garlic Parmesan. Fries were almost sweet and salty, and that was not good.
This joint is definitely better than Popeye's, but I would skip this joint all together and head to The Garrett. I want my calories and cash back. I should have know this would be like TX...after all it is a franchise.
Recession special couldn't save you Wing Stop. Sorry.

The customer service at this Wingstop blows. I'm sorry but the people at the counter need to find another job, it would do them and the customers a whole world of good. I can say "hi" with a smile and stay courteous even if I'm constipated and have a wedgie. They seem disinterested and indifferent, and they forgot to give me my ranch sauce once, which is a crime in my book since I eat ranch with everything! This Wingstop is smaller than the one in Milpitas, but they do have outdoor seating which makes it about even. Plus, if you get one of those late-night food cravings, you can still sit down and eat even if they're closed.
Blazin Asian tastes decent, but the flavor itself is underwhelming. It might be that way cause I'm used to how much flavor the breaded wings/strips have.
one time I went here before they closed and they gave me a ton of strips even though I ordered 4! I got something like 11-12 strips, which I'm glad for..... I was definitely more hungry than I thought.
I love the food at this particular location. Wing Stop recently opened up a new Milpitas one and I must say, 2.5 for service and flavor, not sure what it is but there's definitely a big difference.
Reasonably priced, the wings are nothing special, sauces are yummy. I've tried all the flavors at one point, but my favorite is lemon pepper (tangy with a slight pepper kick) and garlic parmesan (buttery herb goodness).
What I really love thought is their fresh cut seasoned fries, which are slightly sweet and not overly caked with seasoning unlike the Milpitas location.
They are open later than most food places which is a plus and the venue is a bit on the small side but there is outside seating as well.
You've got that feeling, where you're hungry and nothing can satisfy you. Then you realize what your stomach is telling you, the only thing that will quench the hunger... wings. There are only a few rules when you come here: you must get the 20 piece, you must get more that one flavor, and you better get lots of napkins. The lemon pepper flavor seems unconventional in the land of wings, but it's to die for. They always get my order right when I call it in for 80 wings for my work peeps, and that's a big plus.
World's smallest wings and too expensive.
What with having to pay for celery and dressing? Ridiculous, and I see others are now doing this.
Table was filthy and staff continued to walk past empty dirty tables and not clean up.
No beer?! - Extra $1 for substituting root beer as your fountain drink? - AUTOMATIC minus 2 stars! (Chicken and beer go together like peas and carrots, like milk and cookies, like peanut butter and jelly, like salt and pepper, like chicks and dicks, like bros and hoes, like 2Pac and T.H.U.G. L.I.F.E. ...Shooooot...Well they said they're in the process of getting their liquor license, so time will only tell).
They got a new flavor though. BLAZING ASIAN...Haha! Kind of tangy with not much spice at all. I think they use the same sauce that goes on Kung Pao Chicken. Lemon Pepper is still their best flavor though.
Tip - Don't work out 30 minutes after finishing like 12 wingers and about 2 orders of fries after finishing your friends' leftovers on top of what you order.

This was pretty decent. Let me first state that I generally avoid wings when strips are available... there's something to be said for being able to eat a whole piece of chicken and not worry about the skin, cartilage, or bones.
Anyways, here's the wrongs and rights:
YES
Strip are decent sized
Variety of flavors
Yummy fries (kind of a salty sugary peppery sprinkle)
Root Beer on Tap
Atomic
NO
Cruddy service
No beer (beer and wings.... its the ultimate match)
Cajun is salty
Prices are not cheap
Wings are small (not a lot of drummettes)
Limited seated
Tiny TVs
Out of the sauces:
Atomic - awesome
Original - good
lemon + pepper - decent
Garlin parmesan - decent
Mild - meak and for the weak at heart
Hawaiian - good
BBQ - good
Cajun - if you like salt, this is the way to go, otherwise skip it
Teriyaki - decent
SPICY LOVERS ALERT!!!!!!
Atomic kicks ass. It unmercifully beats you down and takes your lunch money, then spits in your face and gives you an atomic wedgie. Talk about a power trip. Seriously tho, there is a lot of flavor in the atomic, unlike at CluckU where its just made to blind your site and taste buds.

I think this is by far the biggest diss on yelp. I hope this creates a new section in yelp on the front page right under the "Review of the day". I think it should be titled "Diss of the day" or something like that. I'll probably get in trouble for the language that im typing up.
First of all Cluck U/University Chicken/Smoke Eaters shits on this place. I should have listened to my friends that told me to stay away from this place.
I come in the place with my brother and I start to laugh because these guys are in the back no where near the cash register talking crap to each other saying "IM FUCKING OFF SOON!" "YOUR A DUMB ASS GET THE FUCKING ORDER RIGHT!" And when they approach the cash register two of the chicks are still talking shit and in spanish "Pinche estupido, chinga su madre" All that stuff. I couldnt keep a straight face I thought all this was hilarious.
Customer Service: Terrible! I give the order while she asks "For here or to go, how many wings, what kind of sauce." I answer after every question yet the cashier still manages to get it wrong and says something else. The workers like to drink soda and chew gum on the front line. Ive have way better customer service at the DMV.
Cleanliness: Floors were filthy, tables sticky, and I think the bathroom looked cleaner than the dining area.
Whats up with the napkins too? Brown Paper towels? It feels like im wiping my hands and face with sandpaper.
The reason why this place is getting 1 Star from me is because they had free refills. Or maybe it could go to the sauce I had. Im not big on the wings that arent breaded either but thats they're thing.
I dont think ill come back to this place ever.

I've been dying to try wingstop because everyone always talks about how good their wings are. Since we were already in the vicinity, my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. We ordered the "2 can dine" and opted to add the 5 additional wings. For the flavors, we ordered lemon pepper (everyone swears by this) and garlic parmesan.Maybe my expectations were too high, but I thought the wings were only ok. I was sooooo looking forward to try the lemon pepper wings, but I thought the lemon pepper wings at boiling crab are a lot better O_O. The garlic parmesan wings were soaked in oil and you can even see the large amount of oil that was accumulated at the bottom of the basket which was pretty nasty. On the plus side, the fries were seasoned really well. Overall, 3 stars!

Wingstop, you suck monkey a$$. Yes, you heard me, monkey a$$.
Decided to try this place out since a friend was craving wings...I'm a Cluck U's kinda girl...but thought I'd be "open" to trying a new chicken joint. Reviews are for the following:
50 piece family meal - pick of 4 flavors ($36.99):
original hot sauce - this was the most decent out of the bunch...tart and a little bit of spice..but doesn't compare to Cluck U's nuclear sauce
lemon pepper - omg..the amount of salt in these damn wings would make the Pacific Ocean jealous. I literally felt my lips pucker and shrivel up..throw one of these wings on a snail and it's kaput!!
garlic parmesan - oily...barely any garlic flavor..and kraft-style parmesan cheese sprinkled on top...blehhh
teriyaki - blehh...bland..goopy...not the usual teriyaki flavor
french fries - fresh cut, but soggy like no other...yuck!
potato salad - pretty good...but not worth coming back for
7 piece chicken strip ($8.59) - standard chicken strip.
ranch- crap..somewhat salty as well...
Boo on you Wingstop

WING STOP IS THE SH*T!!! I love it!
When I moved back from Texas (where wing stop is found at EVERY exit), I was sad because I wouldn't be able to eat my favorite wings anymore. My love affair with chicken wings as I knew it was OVERRRRRRRR!!! Then god spoke to me (well he sounded more like Chuy Gomez on KMEL but hey .. whatever) he said : WINGSTOP GRAND OPENING AT COLEMAN!! ... could it be...? My love has followed me to the golden state! LOL okay .. real talk though .. the food here is the SH*T.
The fries are off the hooooook. I always get extra seasoning on em. Garlic Parmesan and Original Hot are my favs but Atomic is pretty good and Lemon Pepper is rumored to be tasty (not really a fan of Lemon Pepper myself so .. ehh). But try this place! You're gonna LOVE it!
... I only gave this location 4 stars because the two mexican girls that work in the front are so rude. I'll walk up to the counter .. no eye contact whatsoever, no "i'll be with you in a moment", nothin... nada. Just rude nasty snippy b*tches. Other than that... GOOD FOOD .. so its well worth it!
