Hands down the best wings joint in Boston. And I can say this after trying nearly all of their wing flavors they have. The wings are always cooked perfectly, and the $5 lunch special cant be beat (5 wings, a side, and a coke). The fries are delicious, and perfect for moping up the wing sauce left over at the bottom of the styrofoam container. The corn dogs are delicious as well, along with the fall off the bone ribs and cheese whiz Philly Cheese Steak (always get Cheese Wiz, perfect melting point and consistency).

Here are the top 5 and bottom 5 flavors I have had the pleasure of tasting in my 8 years of loyalty to this place

    Top 5:
#1: Rajun Cajun -- smoky flavor, sweet and hot work perfectly, addictive
#2: Pterodactyl -- combination of BBQ and terriyaki is not that salty and enjoyable
#3: Honey Dijon -- best on boneless, if you feel like being fancy, but a good mix of Honey BBQ and Mustard.
#4: Meltdown Buffalo -- it lived up to its billing, hurt like hell in your mouth, but it didnt stop me from devouring the whole helping
#5: Honey BBQ -- tried and true, a no-fail selection for parties

    Bottom 5:
#1: Roman Candle -- Buffalo + Garlic Parm = clumpy, unappitizing mess
#2: Spicy Honey Lime -- way too acidic, had stomach problems after eating
#3: Garlic Parm -- sounded decent, but it was amazingly boring and disgusting to look at
#4: Buffalo Mild -- too weak on buffalo flavor, go for medium if at all possible
#5: Honey Hot -- for some reason, they can never get the proportion to Hot Buffalo and Honey BBQ right....need to work on that

The big draw here is there vast amount of good sauces. Have I had better wings though, yes, but I have also had alot worse.

First the restaurant its self is disgusting, it has a really nasty old interior. The just have take out menus, no board or anything. The chicken wings are a bit overpriced. I had the Roman Candle wings which were an awesome combination of spice and garlic. My friend got the ribs and they were alright, pretty small but fell off the bone.

I see me mostly going here when im drunk, which I feel it is pretty much geared to.

This place is awesome. I love it for a number of reasons.
#1. They sell things other than wings.
#2. Their delivery is super fast.
    #3. Their wings are awesome.
#4. Their sauces are out of this world.

I like my wings, I like them hot, I like them meaty. Most of their sauces are too hot for my liking, so I get their regular basic buffalo sauce, but boy it's hot! I can't even imagine how hot their super atomic volcano buster buffalo sauces must be. They must be face-melting.

I prefer this place to Wings Over simply because their prices are better, there delivery is much faster, and their wings are as good as anything I've ever eaten from Wings Over.

I eat buffalo wings at least once a week, year round, and I haven't found anywhere that does them better than here.

I had Magic Teriyaki wings and tried my co-workers Spicy Terodactyl and  garlic mashed potatoes and fries. The Magic Teriyaki wings could have used a tiny bit more flavor and but I thought the Spicy Terodactyl was perfect. Funny thing is, my co-worker thought the Magic Teriyaki was perfect and the Spicy Terodactyl was too spicy! haha To each their own.

The testament to the restaurant, however, was that we ordered in to work so this huge order had to be made all at once and then survive the trip back to work...and it did! The fries were still hot and crunchy, the wings were still hot and juicy and the mashed potatoes were still creamy.

I'm up in the air about this place.  The wings are really good, but that's about it.  The service is awful.  The delivery guy is always running late and they forget details like salad dressing or it shows up cold.... ALL THE TIME.   I wouldn't be so negative if this has happened once or twice but this seems to be a reoccurring theme.

I'm putting this place on ice.  All I can say is I'm glad Wings over Brookline delivers to this neck of the woods.

The wings were decent, but our meal cost $25 and change and they charged my credit card $31 and change.  They asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no.  Guess I shouldn't be as trusting!  Won't be returning!!

Two out of the three times I've ordered from here - good experiences. Those two times, the wings tasted saucy and fresh.

The third time we ordered from here they only delivered half of our order and the half that arrived were cold and tough. After two hours, i am still sitting here waiting for the other half of my order (according to the unapologetic jerk who answered the phone, they are on their way).

The bottom line is if you care at all about customer service, go somewhere else. Wings Over...is always a good option.

Update: Just received the missing wings but the cornbread is still missing. WTF.

I love this  place sooo much.  The wings are sooooo tasty. The hot sauce is also killer and will leave you wanting more...
They also have great bbq ribs, seasoned fries (love) and their steak tips over salad is def a favorite.  Not crazy about mashed potatoes but its ok cause I order their fries anyways.  The wait is usually longer than I like but  I believe its worth it.  Oh and they have funnel cake for dessert....yummy

The delivery service is awful, and the attitude of the guy who answered the phone to deal with my delivery question was just plain bad.

I placed the order on Foodler, which said it would be a 40 minute wait.  After an hour and a half I called to check on things. Having worked in customer service, I try to be nice about this stuff. I tipped 20% in advance, was friendly on the phone when asking about whether the driver was having trouble finding our apartment or if there were any problems with our order to make it take so much longer than planned. I would like to think there was no bad attitude from me to warrant the reaction from the restaurant.

The man who answered the phone said that it was taking so long because I lived so far away, and that it would take another half hour at least. I asked if the food was at least on its way, and he said "No, it hasn't left yet." Super unapologetic, unfriendly dude saying my food which would take so long to deliver hadn't even left the restaurant over an hour and a half after the order was placed. I asked him to cancel the order, said thanks, and hung up.

Then I did a google search of how far away I really am from this restaurant...(wondering why they're on Foodler for my area if it's so far).  Newton and Brighton are neighbors. Yeah. 2.63 miles from door to door.  I called the guy back and told him this, and he mumbled something about the driver thinking the order was for Fenway.

I won't be ordering from here again. How many customer service problems can you jam into one order of wings?

    YEAHHHHH FRIED OREOS !!!!!

Like I didn't kill my caloric intake with the wings/fries combos alone!! ha!

The kids meal is good too I order it often times if I just want a little plain chicken and fries.
Also great are are the varied flavors of wings! I have tried cajun, buttery bbq, pterodactyl, lemony pepper, honey bbq............just to name a few.

As far as bad delivery in Brighton locale guys relax it is college ville LOTS of people are ordering and the people delivering your food are random delivery guys not rocket scientists...but yeah two hours for cold ass wings LAME
Wings would probably arrive hotter and in a more timely fashion if there was less traffic/more parking

Ordered three kinds of wings (buffalo, honey bbq and {can't remember}).
They are a bit more expensive compared to other options in the neighborhood, but the wings are bigger (as they claim)

I used to pick up burgers and wings pretty frequently when I across the road from them... I still order once in while, but I need to coordinate it with my schedule around Oak Square (Gym at the Y, Johnny D's groceries etc!)

I don't know how I convinced myself that hot wings were a healthy eating option but I digress...

The good: meaty wings with a flavorful sauce, not just heat

The bad: they didn't have the fried mac and cheese balls I ordered on line, but they saved themselves a star on this review by calling ahead with options and sending along a free can of soda as a peace offering (the driver didn't mention it so I may have mistaken class for misplacement of some other cat's beverage)

The ugly: the replacement appetizer was a very good order of jalapeno poppers, but WTF was the limp, watery red sauce that came with it...it tasted like marinara sauce that had an ice cube melt in it

The wings were delicious. The delivery process was awful.

We placed an order at 2:30 and were told it'd be 40 minutes. This is reasonable, it's a Saturday and there are two NFL playoff games on. We figured it'd be close to the 40 minutes because we literally live around the corner (but we're lazy, so yes we got delivery).

An hour later we called to check on it because it wasn't there. The guy on the line told us that the delivery man was on his way but had to go to Watertown first. Okay, fine.

Half an hour after that, still no delivery. We get a call from the delivery man saying he rang our bell but someone told him it was the wrong house. We went outside to try to find him and he isn't even on our street. Finally he figures out where we are but it's been way too long.

We called the place back, asked them to put in a new order that we would pick up, and thankfully they were fine with this. I was a little skeeved out when I walked in and clearly all of the employees were either high or just very, very, very out of it and they didn't seem to be too worried about running a business.

Once we finally got the wings (it's now 4:30) they were delicious!! Next time, I'm going to get my ass off the sofa and walk over for pickup.

I have to say, I definitely had my doubts about Wings Express.  I might say I was skeptical, even cynical.  After several insistences by a fellow Yelper that this place is the premier destination for wings, I decided to give them a try over my standard wings joint -  though not without hesitation.

Much to my surprise, I was very satisfied with this gamble.  We ordered three different flavors - Spicy Honey Lime, Honey Hot, and Ragin' Cajun.  I thought the lime flavor was distinctly artificial (disappointing), and the Honey Hot might as well been regular buffalo (tasty nonetheless), but the Cajun was really outstanding (spicy, buttery) Yum.

The wing portions were well worth the money, but when they say small fries/onion rings, they emphasize the small.  The rings were really good but the fries were just so-so. I'll keep a bag in the freezer for wing related emergencies.

While I definitely did enjoy my meal, I am not sure there was enough to push me over the edge to become exclusive.  For now Wings Express and I can date casually, meeting up every once and awhile when I need some variety in my chicken consumption.

Fast delivery, decent food, and they deliver starting at 11am. I like the bbq baby-back ribs best. Fries aren't the greatest, but the bbq sauce is quite tangy and tasty.

I got pretty addicted to Smoken' Joe's BBQ, but they haven't been delivering lately, so I had to find somewhere else for my BBQ urges. Wings is a pretty close second to them.

I love their honey hots and their honey dijons..... and don't get me started on the ribs...  Steamed, falling off the bone, dripping in BBQ...

I have a bias as I worked for the company for 3 1/2 years. But, I gained a lot working there. I loved their food. I used to make a cross between the honey dijons and honey hots... delish!

The quality here is more consistent than at the Moody St, Waltham location. I have only been to  Waltham 2 or 3 times, but my order came out different each time

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++

FYI - The owners have changed since I was last there, so I can not give an accurate assessment of their current situation. Will go back for further investigation.

We've ordered from Wings Express a number of times and have always had good wings and burgers, and the staff is friendly. We tried the Honey Oriental wings last night and they were delicious.

Good customer service, too. Once they messed up our phoned-in takeout order (it might have been my fault) and they quickly cooked up the right dish AND let us keep the mistake burger they had added to the order, no charge.

Based on the other reviews, I'll have to try the ribs next time...

Their wings are quite yum, the sauces rock, and the prices are totally affordable, even on a college student's budget. I've never had the ribs, but I have heard good things.

I wasn't too impressed here. The boneless wings resemble the chunky chicken pieces you get in General Tso's and Orange Chicken. Lot of crisp batter, and the meat inside was kind of dry. I'm used to succulent, meaty wings.

But, I'd give 5 stars if I could judge on service alone. The cashier was an absolute sweetheart, big smile and everything.

I decided to try this place after my mailbox got plastered with a few of their menus (who says that guerrilla marketing doesn't work?)

We ordered 2 batches of boneless wings, some crab rangoons, and some fried mac-n-cheese balls.

The first batch of boneless wings were mild buffalo flavor and pretty expensive.  They were pretty delicious and prepared in a general-tsos-chicken type way.  Maybe I'm getting old though because the mild sauce burned my mouth.  I honestly never thought I would say that in my entire life.  I feel like I deserve a scarlet letter pinned to my chest for being such a pansy.

The next thing of wings we got were roman holiday flavor.  This is a mixture of their garlic/parm sauce and their mild sauce.  Oh man, deliciously brilliant.  This stuff was amazing.

The crab rangoons were delicious too (although severely lacking in the crab department.)  The problem is that only 5 came with an order, and an order was something like 5.95.  That's about $1.20 per rangoon.  Ouch.

The fried mac-n-cheese suffered from the same problem.  They were delicious.  Crisp on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside.  Unfortunately they were only 4 to an order and ran about 6 bucks as well.

So my advice is to come for the boneless wings and skip the appetizers.  The wings may be a tad on the expensive side but the quality is definitely there.

Finally tried the dinner menu. NICE.

Got a wing combo...Buffalo Wings (Hot), w/2 sides. I asked for cornbread and cole slaw. The wings were fantastic, you can tell they're making them right: fried, then drenched in delicious Buffalo sauce. And it's a REAL Buffalo sauce, not just plain hot sauce...it's got flavor, and it's thick enough that it really coats the wings instead of just dripping off in a pool at the bottom of the container. Hot is DEFINITELY hot, there's even one higher level of heat but "hot" is enough for me.

The cole slaw was good, with chunks of crunchy cabbage instead of wimpy little shredded bits. It had just enough mayo to coat everything, which is nice because too much mayo in cole slaw is really gross. It seems to be seasoned with something that gives it just a tiny little kick of spice that sort of sneaks up on you...but don't be afraid, it's definitely not "spicy." Cole slaw lovers will approve.

The cornbread was fantastic. It was freshly made, moist and delicious. AND ABOUT THE SIZE OF A PHONEBOOK. Damn!

Even the celery that came with the wings was extremely high quality!

The good: LOVE the buffalo hamburger.  Good lunch specials that are reasonably priced.  Sadly I haven't even tried the wings.  I just really like the burger.  And the guy who usually works the register is ridiculously friendly.

The not so good: takes forever and a day - so call in your order 20 mins ahead of time.  And the fries - eh, not so great.

I went to this place a couple times.  The first time I've been there I had the barbeque wings.  They were pretty good.

My most recent order was the ribs and wings combo.  I ordered the Honey BBQ wings which tasted kind of generic, like the type of sauce you would get of out a condiment packet.  Half of the rack ribs were overcooked and had the texture of cardboard.  The other half was tender in the middle, but the ends were like cardboard.

The fries were nice although they are very similar to soggy Wendy's fries an the onion rings stayed crispy after I finished the ribs and wings.

Their sauces besides the honey BBQ taste pretty good, but they could have done a little better with my most recent order (today)

I don't enjoy this place too much.  I like the variety of sauces, I like the hours and I like the free delivery.

However, the way they make their chicken (at least the Boneless kind) is not to my liking.  The breading/cooking methods makes it incredibly stiff and tough, to the point where it's practically inedible.

I wish that I could give it a better review, because I like their premise - but the quality of the food itself can't be overlooked.

We had delivery from here recently and the meats were great (burger a bit overcooked but that's to be expected with delivery+burgers.) Cole slaw was good - traditional with unexpected SPICINESS! Potato salad was blah. Corn bread was good.
We'd re-order the ribs and corn bread for sure and skip everything else next time. Didn't try the wings (a little pricey; ribs seemed the better deal.) Definitely will next time.

Being from Western, NY I am a chicken wing snob. (People that get boneless wings or ranch with their wings should be shot.) Wings Express puts together a pretty solid wing sauce and has a good variety, I don't think their Buffalo Wings are as good as Buffs but rest of their menu is better. Their steak tips are good and I like their soggy type of fries, also their sandwiches and subs are solid.

I would give them four start but I order out for delivery through Foodler and they routinely forget to bring me the drink I ordered, like it was a habit. One time their delivery driver had to go back and get the drink,  tossed it into my mailbox and called me to tell me it was there. Not exactly stellar customer service.

Never had the ribs but I did have the wings and they were indeed great! Delivery was snappy and overall everything is damn cheap! totally as good if not better than most other wing places in Boston. Next time you're watching the Football Patriots or Basketball Celtics or the Hockey Bruins give them a call!

This place looks really filthy so I never really felt the need to get their food, but on Saturday I had an intense craving for wings. Got a combo with wings, ribs, and onions rings and was impressed with all of it.  The wings were just about perfect--could have been fried a little more to get them crispier, but they may have sogged up during transportation. The ribs were nice and tender with decent flavor.  I've never had take out french fried potatoes or onion rings that survived as well as these rings did.  Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the food but still think they're filthy looking.

I live in Los Angeles but the last two times I went to Boston, I made sure I stopped at Wings Express in Brighton! My friend knows the owner.  The place is a hole in the wall BUT the food is to die for...look even the cole slaw is excellent. Most places you just throw that crap out, but not this! it's even a little bit spicy! I tried to get some recipes from Jamme, my friend's friend, but he was charmingly unwilling to divulge the secrets.  Just flashed his dimples at me and grinned. Adorable.

I have ONLY had the honey BBQ ribs from this place, but I've had them several times. They are flavorful, tender, quality!! The meat ACTUALLY falls off the bone. I love that. They are hands down the best ribs I've had in the city, if not ever. How bout them apples?

when you're looking for fast, flavorful wings, wings express does the job.

my boyfriend couldn't choose just 1 flavor, so he ordered 2 (small) orders, each came with 8 boned wings. he picked jamaican jerk and honey hot. the wings definitely had some kick, but weren't so spicy that he couldn't make his way through the platter. he did have about 4 or 5 left over, so i would recommend a small order for 1 person...definitely plenty of food.

i ordered the broiled chicken sandwich, but with no bbq sauce. it was served on a roll, and came with lettuce, tomato, and onion. the chicken was moist, the vegetables were fresh, and the roll did not get soggy. overall, a very good sandwich. it came with french fries which were pretty much exactly what i expected - slightly greasy, crispy, and a perfect vehicle for ketchup.

we also ordered the crab rangoon... perfect since we had been debating between ordering thai and getting wings. they actually forgot the crab rangoon when the food was first delivered, but they were very nice about it when i called and returned within about 15 or 20 minutes with them. it was okay - the wontons were on the thick side and the cream cheese mixture was dry and slighly off-tasting. however, i hadn't been expecting much more - i did order a chinese appetizer from a place that specializes in wings!

overall, the food was exactly what we were looking for. not gourmet, not healthy, but the wings were flavorful and the sandwich hit the spot.
