Wingate Inn by Wyndham Suites is a much nicer hotel than I expected! I had never previously heard of Wingate Inn... our executive assistant only booked this hotel because my first choices (Springhill Suites by Marriott and Hampton Inn by Mall of Georgia) were already booked solid because of the Formula Drift event going on this weekend at Road Atlanta.

GOOD THING! Wingate is wayyyy better than those other hotels! I have a very nice clean room, and the front desk guy was very nice and helpful, and the main lobby area looks great!

They have a business center, and a 24x7 gym, and free breakfast in the morning. And most importantly.... FREE WIRELESS INTERNET! They have cable TV too, but I don't really care anyway. Oh and it's right next to the Mall of Georgia and alot of restaurants and whatnot... pretty poppin location!

I would definitely stay here again... but tomorrow when my other friends get here from CA, we're checking in to Chateau Elan, which is probably the most luxurious hotel in this area. So for tonight, Wingate by Wyndham is great..! But tomorrow, we'll be ballin at the Chateau Elan sonnnnn! Hellyea.

Update: Breakfast sucks here. But everything else is cool!

Breakfast was inedible--  seriously.  I will eat anything, but when you somehow mess up English muffins and fruit, you're just trying to be cruel.  I won't even begin to talk about the coffee....If you're trying to stay close to the Mall of Georgia, keep looking.  This place doesn't have a shuttle and it's a long, hilly walk across high-traffic roads to get there.  And to make it even worse, the 24-hour gym is thisbig and is located in the center of the lobby....with windows....putting you in full view of the front doors and any person who might want to watch you sweat like a wildebeest as you chug through a run on their treadmill.

The staff was nice, the rooms were clean enough, but honestly, this place just wasn't that great...I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than a night.  I'm stuck here for 16.  :(

The best part--  it's a terribly expensive and long cab ride from ATL.  For three of us, it was $100 and took over an hour in no traffic.  Incidentally-- the cabbie didn't charge us per person, just the straight fare...
