I would rate it higher but the clerk told me he was accepting the coupon and didn't and I didn't realize it till I got home.
I couldn't enjoy the garlic sauce because in small print it said Buffalo and I hate Buffalo

Placed a order online 15 minutes later I received a call that they were out of srirache sauce which had the biggest advertisement on the web site I said ok give me the mango fire instead. Picked up the food 16 of the 48 wings were missing besides that i ordered the shrimp with the lemon zinger sauce they were all plain. I call to let them know my order was short they had me on hold for almost 15 minutes before finally deciding to tell me to pick up the missing wings I defiantly wouldn't recommend anyone going there for big orders

Steve,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. First and foremost, my sincere apologies for your recent experience. The Shiracha flavor was for a limited time only and is not part of the permanent menu. I have communicated that to our corporate team and they should of removed all marketing associated with this from the website. I apologize for the confusion.
For all shrimp items, our default build is providing the flavor on the side. However we can dip it for you if you prefer. Next time, just let one of our staff know that you wish to have that dipped. We do this all the time.
Again I appreciate your feedback. Customers like you are why we are in business. - Christiana R.Chicago, IL73714Sep 18, 2016
This establishments employees have no customer service skills! At all! Ordered through grubhub tonight, called the restaurant inquire about my order, the number listed on grub hub doesn't work. So I google the restaurant to find a different number. The young man that answered the phone rudely told me that my order was already sent out without checking to make sure I was the correct caller. I asked him how did he know who's order I was inquiring about, he told me "because your numbers on the caller ID". I too work in customer service and I know that is not how you address a customer calling to inquire about the money they just spent! I will not be spending my money with this business anymore.

UPDATING REVIEW, 3/10/16:
Okay, so a couple days after writing this review, I went to the Oak Lawn location to pick up some wings for my husband and I. I asked the man behind the counter if THIS store delivered, and he said "Yes, absolutely...where do you live?" So I told him, and he said "Oh, that would actually be the Chicago store--the one on 87th." And I said "Nooooope--not gonna do that!" and explained to him my recent experience (the one detailed below) with that store.
Well, turns out that Amyn--that's his name--is the owner of BOTH stores--and let me tell you, he was AWESOME. He said he'd seen my review on Yelp, and apparently he went to his manager and staff at that store and gave them the riot act about what had happened the other night. He was totally apologetic, made ZERO excuses; he even gave me his business card and told me that if I ever experience anything like that again with one of his stores, to call him directly. "Because if something like that is happening to one customer, it's happening to OTHER customers," as he explained it--which is true!
So: Based on that, and the fact that we LOVE these wings, I'm upgrading this review to 4 stars. I'm going to give the 87th St. store another chance, next time we want delivery. Every place has bad days, but any restaurant where the owner takes that kind of an interest in how things are run, is bound to bounce back from its mistakes.

(Previous review)
The only--the ONLY--reason this place is getting a star, besides the fact that you HAVE to leave at least one to leave a review, is that ONE guy I talked to was pretty reasonable. But I've gotten ahead of myself.
A couple days back, my husband went to the WingZone in Oak Lawn, and the food was awesome. So when we started the eternal "what are we gonna do for dinner?" conversation on a Sunday evening, we decided on a repeat. One problem, though: the Oak Lawn location doesn't deliver, and neither of us wanted to go out. So we decided to go with the West 87th location.
BAD IDEA.
I placed our order online--10 boneless wings, 4 tenders, some sides--at about 6:35. At 6:43, I got a text that our food was being prepared. At 7:05 PM, I got a notice that our food was "out for delivery".
7:05. Remember that.
I went upstairs to wait for the food, figuring it would take about 20 minutes for the driver to get from where they were to where I was. About 45 minutes later, I started wondering what was going on. At 8 PM, I called to ask what was going on. The girl on the phone, after keeping me on hold for a few minutes, informed me in a tone of great disinterest that "our delivery drivers are very busy". Um...okay...So I figured, another 20 minutes, maybe.
At 8:35--now TWO HOURS since I'd ordered--I called again. I got a fairly nice, reasonable guy, who informed me that "something happened to our delivery driver so we had to use Papa John's driver." Would have been nice to hear that before two hours had elapsed, but I understand, they're dealing with a world full of technological limitations. If only there was some method of sending information to people about the status of their orders....a message of some sort, in text format...maybe on their cell phone! Wow...that would be a really useful invention. I sure hope somebody comes up with something like that soon.
The guy on the phone told me that the replacement driver would be at my house within a few minutes, that he had one delivery before me but that I would be next.
At 9:00 I called and got the same guy; he was surprised that the driver hadn't shown. At this point, he told me that he would cancel the receipt and we could keep the food, if and when it came. It finally showed up at about 9:10--so, 2 1/2 hours after ordering. Needless to say it was stone-cold; once we heated it up, it was passable, but not worth THAT kind of hassle.
We shall see if they REALLY cancel the receipt. Regardless, if we want WingZone again, we're going to Oak Lawn. I understand that things happen, but when they do, they need to COMMUNICATE to the customers! They had our cell number; when "something" happened to the original driver, they should have called and let us know that there was going to be a delay. Leaving us hanging, making US reach out THREE SEPARATE TIMES to find out where our food was--that's not an experience I'm going to repeat.
They've got a good product, but with customer service like that, it doesn't matter HOW good your food is. And comping the food was nice, but given the choice between paying full price and getting prompt service and hot food, versus waiting 2 1/2 hours and getting cold food for free?? I'd take the first option.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rhona C.Chicago, IL16202Jun 16, 2015
Ordered 10 wings and just not good.... the potato wedges were good with cool ranch dry rub but I probably won't go there again. I requested 2 wings without sauce and they are even more tasteless without drowning them in sauce. The staff was cool... I didn't encounter any ghetto employees because I only saw Hispanic ones at the front when I was there.

I placed my order online. My order was being bagged when I arrived. The food was tasty. The service was great. I must say...a special Thank You to the gentleman that rung up my order. I had purchased a certificate from restaurant.com (which they had cancel the contract over 2 weeks ago - so it was no longer valid). He accepted it. ..with no problem as a one time courtesy. I appreciate. ..that he was able to make that executive decision without loud talk or calling someone else. Wingzone...has a NEW longterm customer!

This was my mom and I first time here and if we didn't live so far it definitely wouldn't be our last. We were greeted very warmly by Ruben and he was extremely patient and friendly with us, even offered recommendations and providing us with samples of the sauce. My mother had the Garlic Parm which she said were very tasty and I assume they were because she gobbled them up quickly. I was able to wait until I got home to devour my Honey Q wings and cole slaw and it was worth the wait. The food at this place is just basic good wings but the customer service and warmth that we received is definitely enough to make us return for a second visit. I would recommend you give this place a shot.

Gina,
Thanks for visiting our location. We appreciate you giving us a try. I am glad you and your mom enjoyed the food and service. Ruben is one of our best managers and he always goes out of his way to please customers. I have shared this feedback with him. We also have 6 other locations in the Chicagoland area so I am hoping that one of our other locations is closer to you. Thanks again for your loyalty. - Tylersmom A.Chicago, IL210Feb 12, 2017

AmynNov 11, 2015Previous reviewWe stopped by today, and I was surprised that they don't offer anything for veterans. No, free fries, soda. (Nothing) guess, everyone doesn't care about our " VETS".
Our food, was just ok today. We tried, the tenders they were nothing special and my black voodoo chicken was dry.. Well, I guess it can't be perfect every time.Sep 14, 2015Previous reviewToday, was my second time visiting this location and I must say that I'm impressed the food is awesome and so is the staff. They're friendly, kind and courtesy. The food is cooked fresh to order and delicious.

Ordered a 16 wing and a side order of wedge fries. First, they put me on hold twice. A different person returned each time and asked the same question. Got there only to realize that they didn't include my fries. When I asked them about the fries they said: they probably didn't make them because that's not a basket meal. Ummm.....SO I can't order a side of fries? Then, as I'm leaving, they hand me a coupon that says 16 wings and fries.....for cheaper than what I just paid without the fries. Food was OKAY.
