Windsong III, is one of Robert Mangold's better idea's.  It brings back the childhood wonder of colorful pinwheels for me.  I love how clean, fresh, and colorful it is.  I like a side of humor with my big plate of art.  This sculpture brings it in an bottomless cup.  It is a biggy too, it's 15 feet high by 7 foot wide. Made of stainless steel and brightly painted with acrylic. It stands outside the Englewood location of the Museum of Outdoor Art, created in 1989.

It has kinetic force! Yep, it glides effortlessly in the wind, all by itself, no batteries included.  It does seem an enigma how the pieces never touch, as they slide so quickly and quietly close together.
The child in me is touched.  If tree's were funny this is what they would look like.  You've done well Denver artist!  Yea!!!

Here's a quirky side note, haven't we seen others just like this?  Yes, indeed there are several smaller versions all over town, also made by Mangold.
