These bagels are delicious! The pesto bagel is AMAZZZZING! If I could give 6 stars I would. Try the Cookies 'n Creme smoothie, yum!

I'd like to give it 3 stars because for Brentwood it's good to have a place like this. The only problem is the customer service has gone down hill over the years.
Sure they're nice to regulars but for those of us who stop by once in awhile you sometimes feels like just another pain in the neck they have to deal with before their next cigarette break. I don't mind yellow teeth, but what's with the attitude?
It is true, that the coffee is pretty bad. But generally speaking the sandwiches are pretty good, although as mentioned you do have to wait awhile at this location. Between waiting awhile, the attitude, and the bad coffee I just don't even bother to go here any longer, which is funny because now I live right down the street. Oh well, now they can enjoy their cigarettes. Smoke up ladies! -

Love the bagels. Always fresh. Consistently great sandwiches. I'd really like to give this place four stars, but I can't for two reasons:
1) The coffee is pretty bad.
2) They like to socialize with the regulars during the morning rush, which may be great for the regulars, but is hella rude to folks who just want to grab a bagel on their way to work. So I only stop here when I have plenty of time. -

I needed a caffeine, snack and wifi break in between meetings in Brentwood. I found all three at Willy's!
This is definitely a locals spot. Everyone was congratulating the guy working there on his new baby. Actually, pregnancy and babies abound here. I felt like I was on an episode of MTV's 16 and Pregnant. Hopefully it is not contagious.
I ordered a sourdough bagel with tomato basil cream cheese. It was lightly toasted and delicious. For caffeine, I got an Earl Grey tea. The total was less than $5. Everything they offer is very reasonably priced and served up with a smile. They have free wifi - no password needed. There is ample indoor and shaded outdoor seating. I will definitely return when I am in the area.Listed in: Caffeine

Yeah, the bagels are a little thin. However, with all the stuff that goes into the bagel sandwiches, you might thank them. Their breakfast sandwiches are huge! Try the Lox one, it's fantastic.
Friendly staff, good bagels, good fillings. Makes it a 4 star place. I don't know if bigger bagels would give it another star, maybe next time I'll try their drinks. Good drinks would make them a 5 star place. -

I LOVE THIS PLACE
growing up I never liked bagels but when I went to college I became addicted to them so when I came back to the hometown I was not sure where to go to find quality bagels...until I found Willy's!
I have tried so many I like the jalepeno popper bagel, I also like the pesto one.
They are flakey and HUGE and the cream cheese is just as good...and they are not stingy with the cream cheese (some places are and it makes me mad!)
I have yet to try one of their smoothies. -

Going to Willy's is an experience that can turn a bad day into a good one. There's no way I can go there and leave grouchy or sad.
When you walk in check out the case full of every type of bagel you could wish for, large and small. Once you have your bagel picked out turn your attention to the sandwich board. I highly recommend Willy's club sandwich - turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss and avocado on a deliciously fresh bagel makes the perfect lunch. Side note: when they ask you if you want "everything" on your sandwich make sure you know what "everything" entails because you might get some things you don't expect like cucumbers and sprouts. I was pleasantly surprised to find them on my sandwich and it's nice to have options but I know not everyone likes those things or expects them.
The excellent food at Willy's is only half the story because what's equally great about this place is how friendly and nice everyone is. Their welcoming attitude makes you feel like you're at a friend's place - the complete opposite experience of going to some anonymous homogenized soulless chain restaurant. Their positive energy is infectious and just what I need in the middle of my workday after dealing with %$#&^% clients.Listed in: Downtown Brentwood

Hubby and DS went to pick up breakfast yesterday for us. I've been craving lox lately so he got lox sandwiches. The bagel is a little thin, but I liked that since I didn't feel all bloated after eating it. The load the sandwich with pickles (I had to take off because the baby wasn't like it), cucumbers, tomatoes, sprouts, red onion, cream cheese and of course the lox.
I look forward to going in myself to see what else they offer. -

I am new to Brentwood, and Willy's Bagels is my new favorite spot. It is so nice to go to a place that is not a chain. Hard to find here in Brentwood.
They have a great variety of big, chewy bagels. Spinach Artichoke and Marinara are my faves. The coffee isn't bad either. I get the iced Americano. Delicioso! -

I actually cannot believe that I have never reviewed Willy's before! I have been going here since it opened when I was in high school...
I have never had anything bad to eat here.
their bagels are fresh and very tasty, my favorites are the Marinera & Spinach Artichoke.
Their breakfast sandwiches, regular bagel sandwiches and cinnamon rolls are fantastic! Never had a problem there.... -

This is a great independently owned bagel shop. The staff is friendly and remembered me after only two visits. Great bagels too.
One thing, they could improve their latte's. Espresso should be combined with milk immediately otherwise it tastes burnt.

I have been going to Willies for years now because it is convenient. However, it is overpriced and sooo slow. Have to wait for a latte for 20 minutes cause they only have one person working the machine. Also, each time I go there, the male owner walks by me and never smiles. You think he would be greeting his customers instead of ignoring them. Think i will start going to Starbucks when it is a better price, faster, and they are so much more friendly.

Okay- everyone who as written a review on this place as a positive, MUST WORK THERE!
EWWW! EWWW! EWW!!!
Mr New Yorker, if this is what a New York bagel tastes like, I will take a store bought bagel in a bag you throw in the toaster ANYDAY!
The Mr and I wanted bagels, but there are no Noah's Bagels around here, so I did what I normally do, I yelped bagels and we decided how can 7 yelpers go wrong? Well- we were tricked... makes me want to YELP, http://YELP.com :)~
He got a Jalapeno bagel which was good, but it was HELLA thin, I'm talking you can eat it as a sandwich and didn't have to struggle. JIPPED MUCH???? I got what Noah's Bagel calls an egg-mit.... I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with egg, cheddar cheese, bacon and tomato.... Let's pick this apart, one thing at a time!!! The bagel had SPECKS of raisin, not raisins... but raisin CRUMBS, they were thin and tasted what I'm sure cardboard tastes like.... NO KIND OF FLAVOR.... the egg was shiny and rubbery.... I know the eggs are thrown in the microwave and all but this was taken to a whole new level.... the egg looked like it came from my daughter's play food.... uggggh gross! the bacon....no kind of taste or texture, not sure if it was bacon.... the cheese and tomato are what made the damn thing! I took the egg out, because it was just nauseating. I ended up eating half of the boyfriend's jalapeno bagel...
We will NEVER and I mean NEVER go back to this place again! -

Willy's Bagels & Blends is truly awesome, and it's been in Brentwood (and now has 2 locations) for longer than I can rememeber! At least 10 years or more, for sure.
Anyway, both the variety of bagels and the variety of drinks they offer are great. My favorite is the Asiago Cheese bagel w/ cream cheese, and I usually get a Strawberries & Cream smoothie to go with it. Not the HEALTHIEST thing one can possibly eat, but hey, it tastes delicious! It's a family-owned business, and the owner, Ryan, is always very friendly and remembers almost all of his customers. The other workers are nice and friendly also. I can't really complain about much, except for that sometimes the place could use a little sweeping, and also -- I need to know why the people who make the bagels/sandwiches don't wear GLOVES?? That's my only question... isn't that the law around here? I don't want any nasty germs on my delicious bagel! :) -

I guess, I just love handing out 5 stars! There are so many wonderful places in Brentwood, I can't help it! Willy's is no exception. They are located by Safeway on Central... kind of tucked in the back, so you may have missed it. I just don't know where to begin... If you thought bagels were boring, go to Willy's!! They have the best breakfast sandwich in Brentwood! I usually get the spinach bagel with ham, egg and cheese. It never dissapoints. Pair it with any of their coffee creations and you will be full past lunch. I think they make a white mocha better than Starbucks. I can't even name all the different kind of bagels they have... plain, chocolate chip, spinach, poppyseed, sourdough, jalepno, cinnamon, egg... the list goes on and on! They have a full coffee and juice bar menu, as well as a lunch menu (yummy chicken salad bagel sandwich!), fruit salads, bagel dogs, cookies and so on. It is family owned and operated. The owners are always there and always pleasant. The employees are friendly and quick to get orders out. The store is very clean and they make the bagels fresh everyday. If you get a chance, stop in there and see for yourself. It is a perfect choice for breakfast and lunch.

The bagels are too soft. They are more like bread in bagel's shape. Not very filling. They opened up a new store by Shadow Lakes. Nice location and nice deco.

What I love about Willy's is they are a small "mom and pop" bagel and smoothie shop. They are really friendly and they have great bagels. I have always been a hug fan of Noah's Bagels, and these bagels are just about as good as a Noah's bagels. I love the wheat bagels with lox...so yummy! I also like their Mocha Monkey smoothie...it's a splurge but so worth it.
