After an extremely traumatizing visit to the dentist 2 years ago, I finally mustered up the courage to make a dental appointment with a new dentist. Thank you, thank you, thank you fellow Yelpers for your accurate reviews on Dr Pandez! Dr Pandez is wonderful. She took her time to explain the plan of care based on my dental exam, making sure that any questions I had were addressed. During the procedures (moderate cleaning and 3 fillings), she explained what she was doing and what to expect (ie. "you're going to feel a little pressure now"). And she was careful about making the procedures and comfortable as possible and frequently asked if I was doing ok. I love that!
Unfortunately, since it's been forever since my previous dental visit and because I'm naturally prone to having cavities, the procedures and treatments that I need are going to cost me a very pretty penny (over $1,000 out of pocket). Anastasha, the receptionist, went over my bill in detail with me and told me about the payment plans they offer. I qualified for a line of credit, which will allow me to pay my bill over 18 months, no interest. Sweet!
I had such a positive experience that I'm actually looking forward to returning next week to have my other 5 cavities (yes, I had a 8 cavities...told you I was prone to them) filled. So if you're looking for a new dentist, give Dr. Pandez a shot! You won't regret it.
i love dr pandez! she has great patient /dentist manners, explains the steps to the actual procedures and is very personable and friendly. Another plus is shes open on saturdays, which is a rarity these days and a plus for me as its sometimes difficult to schedule appts with my work schedule.
though some dentist's procedures are rarely pain free, dr pandez made sure i had as little discomfort as possible. it was amazing as ive never had as little pain from dental shots until i met dr pandez, and to me thats a big deal!
her staff is also amazing, anastasha is the office manager, does the billing and also scheduling she works hard to find a time that works with your schedule/ she also took the time to go over the billing and explain what was covered by insurance and what was needed for payment from the patient. she was very thorough and clear and answered all my questions.
jessica is the RDA and very well versed in the up to date techniques. she made sure i was comfortable and also explained what she was doing. i always ask for vaseline and she always complies, applying vaseline on my lips so my lips wouldnt dry out during the procedure.she also has a gentle hand and good patient manners, plus she laughs at all my corny jokes.
cheryl is the dental asst (DA) and also is very friendly and amazingly skilled and knowledgable with the procedures dr pandez peforms
the staff are always accomodating and smiling.
ive always hesitated and dreaded going to the dentist. dr pandez and her staff has made it much more comfortable for me and i now actually enjoy going for my check ups. thats saying ALOT right there!
I hadn't gone to the dentist for about five years, and I had bee avoiding the idea of going back, but my wife found Dr. Pandez on Yelp and scheduled an appt for me and I am thrilled that she did. I saw doctor Pandez in late 2008 and I needed quite a bit of work done. In three very eventful visits, I never felt anything resembling discomfort or pain. Lorena has incredible skills. Her whole staff is off the charts as far as friendliness and creating a warm environment. Too bad my teeth are all better, I would love a reason to go back. Really fun and cool people to visit. I 100% recommend this office to anyone, you will not regret it, and Anastasia is really good at working with insurance to keep your out of pocket money reasonable.
Clean, spacious, modern dentistry. Lorena takes great pride in her practice and it shows.
I haven't felt comfortable with the dentists I've tried in San Jose, but i just found my new dental home!
Dr. Lorena Pandez was able to help me on an early Saturday morning with a dental emergency. For that, I give her credit and am thankful. I had some billing issues that have since been resolved by Anastasia who is an absolute sweetheart.
