Thank you to everyone who has reviewed Willow Cleaners before me...
I had a pair of designer jeans hemmed (with orig hem) at the cleaners in my building and they botched them...twice! I searched Yelp for a tailor or alterations expert to try to fix them and found Willow. Not only did they fix the hem, they did it overnight and for $12 (I think she felt sorry for me). I had another pair hemmed, as well, and both are perfect...
These ladies have experience and their work speaks for itself. They are sweet, professional and their prices are amazingly low!!! Now, I will take my alterations only to Willow.

Wonderful, friendly service. They are prompt and do a great job. And did I mention friendly? very reasonable pricing. We were regular customers until we moved to far away to continue using them. I definitely recommend them.
Yelp has led me to some great places in the past and this is definitely one of the best. I have had some good but PRICEY experiences with tailors in the past (Tailor's Touch, the Dress Doctor), so one of my greatest quests was to find a tailor in which the alterations didn't cost more than the dress and I definitely found this at Willow Cleaners!
Conveniently located just a off of the North/Clybourn red-line stop, I paid a mere $30 for the alterations to my dress. And this included fixing the hem, the straps and taking in the sides and the back of the dress. I was in and out in no time when I dropped off the dress and I was told that I could pick it up on Wednesday which I thought was pretty decent being that it was Friday evening when I dropped it off. But here is where they lost a star...
I was so excited to pick up my dress on Wednesday (that was to be worn to a wedding on Saturday), that I actually took off of work early to avoid the rush hour traffic on the el. I went by myself, it was a hot day, I was sweating, and when I got there, they couldn't find my dress! After a few minutes of looking around, they were able to locate my dress and they confessed that they hadn't even started the alterations yet! Rather than apologize for the inconvenience, they made a couple of excuses about how "complicated" some of the alterations were HOWEVER they told me that it would be done and ready to go the very next afternoon - guaranteed. If it was so complicated, why couldn't they finish it in five days but they could finish it in one? I was really, really annoyed.
So here is what I recommend - DEFINITELY go to them for good alterations at a GREAT price, BUT, you need to call first before you make the trip to pick your clothing up.
I brought a bridemaid's dress to Willow Cleaners after reading reviews from Yelp. The women were friendly and sweet. The alterations I needed were to shorten the hem, shorten the strap, and to take in the bust seam. The woman who was helping me was hesitant about the bust seam but agreed to do it. The total was $35 (half off what other tailors were asking). Unfortunately, it's true that you get what you pay for. The seams that were altered were not straight and there was bunching/puckering of the fabric. I tried pressing these out, but it didn't work because the fabric should have been pressed before they re-sewed the seam and hem. The original bust seam was not even touched. I tried to explain to the owner my concerns, but was told that they did alter the bust seam and that I should try to wear a very padded bra to fill out the dress. Overall, not the experience I was expecting based on the rave reviews here and not a place I would recommend for quality alterations.
These ladies are awesome! They did an amazing job on my wedding dress in a short time. AND...... the price was VERY reasonable.
Agree with consensus- the sweet ladies at Willow Cleaners are determined to make you happy with their service and prices. They're always smiling and try to remember your name. I'm very particular about my cleaning and after 3 years they have never let me down. I moved away from the area but still continue to take my cleaning there.
Tailoring is fantastic for the price- I've had my designer jeans tailored and zippers fixed...only $10 for the whole thing! I used to pay out the a$$ at Tails on Wells for my designer denim to be altered but realized it wasn't worth it. Willow Cleaners is a jem!

I guess I'll jump on the wagon and say that I am impressed with the speed, quality, price and customer service that you receive at Willow Cleaners. I had a bridesmaid dress altered in a week for only $35. They make sure you know you're getting a good price and tell you that they're going to do a good job by actually saying, "This is a good price and I'll do a really good job". I will be back!
I've been to quite a few cleaners in this city, but Willow gets it right. I used to live in the neighborhood and loved Mrs. Kwan and her friendly staff - your bill would be $44 and she'd round it down to $40. Loved it! Sadly, I moved up north and started the long painful search for another cleaner. I tried three or four on Broadway and a few on Addison, but was constantly disappointed (and charged $50 for hemming a bridesmaid dress!), so I decided it was worth it to drive to Willow every Saturday. Let me tell you, Mrs. Kwan makes it worth my while. It's a $1 a shirt and she gives me my "You come from 3400 north" discount. Love her! Plus, she always remembers your name - sweet, sweet lady.

The owners have got to be the nicest women I have ever met! What they lack in their knowledge of English, they more than make up for in the type of service they provide.
The bonus to the best service is their extremely low prices. I had a bridesmaids dress altered in at least five different areas and was only charged $30! I was a bit worried because of the low price, but the dress looks absolutely amazing! Thanks to Yelp for such a great find.

This is the best cry cleaners I have ever been to. The owner remembers everyone who comes in more than once and even remembered my name when I lived nearby. Very affordable and my clothes were always cleaned well. They always fixed buttons, zippers, etc.

It pains me to give Willow only 3 stars, because this was my dry cleaner for 3+ years and I thought they were amazing - great customer service and really reasonable prices. Then, they send me home with the wrong cocktail dress and were not at all concerned with finding the right dress. I went back in every week for 6 weeks and they kept saying "Don't worry, it will turn up". I left them my cell phone number just in case. Almost 3 months after they lost it, my husband dropped by and they had my dress - they never bothered to call and tell me it had been found! Not cool.
THE BEST PLACE FOR ALTERATIONS!
I brought my bridesmaid dress here and they did a wonderful job for only $30.
